A day of quiet (Meip/Jabey/those other people/SOVE)

Thing didn’t quite seem the same to Kirsten anymore. It had been nearly a year since she had even been to the digital world, and at times she had almost forgotten about the place. Almost was the correct word, Zarph – the small digital creature who had accompanied her for the majority of her journey was still certainly in her life, stealing food from the fridge, concerning her parents greatly about the amount of chocolate which was going missing, and doing his best to ruin the cover for being a soft toy which she couldn’t bare to go without.
And of course there was that device, which try as hard as she might like, didn’t seem to ever be of a mind to actually leave her alone. It had a tendency to simply manifest itself whenever it felt like it, costing her at least two whole phones over the year, as they mutated into the small rather retro looking thing whenever she managed to forgot it, or just plain left it. Kirsten was learning, that despite this magical world having been more or less removed from her life, it didn’t seem to be so keen to forget her.
There was a chill in the air, as she sat on the bench, hands in jumper pockets, waiting for a text from her mum so she would get picked up again. It hadn’t exactly been that eventful of a day, she had just wanted to get out of the house for a while, take a walk around, and get some kind of alone time. It was much more awkward to get than in her house, given she was now in the task of looking after something which had the same instincts as a baby. Zarph probably was a baby, but a baby with teeth sharp enough to chew through cables, and not enough sense to learn not to.
She looked up towards the street infront of her, not particularly taking in any part with great detail, but just watching. Quiet was quite nice every once in a while.

"But I'm hunnngrryyy Boss, can't we just get something to eat?!", Guilix groaned hugging his belly and sniffing on occasion in between belly groans and sighs. He was starving! It'd been like a full hour since the poor mon ate anything and now he was regretting not stuffing his hoddie pockets with his normal pile of snacks. "I know it's a digimon and all but do we have to investigate EVERY unregistered digimon? I mean it doesn't smell that big... or strong, we could just leave it alone, stupid humans would probably think it was a plu-"
"Blasphemy!!!!", Josh shouted to his partner hand up in the air startling the little chibigrowlmon a bit making him look back with a .. sorta confused look. "Nah just kiddin, haha! But seriously Guilix we can't skimp! not now not ever! We're in charge of DATS and we have a job to do! Lives to save! Tickets to write! Digimon to register!", his eyes seemed to sparkle brighter with every mention of civil justice as Guilix just sorta, squinted at him.
"Boss, You're a dork.."
"Everyone should be a dork when it comes to JUSTICE!!!!!!", Josh cheered his constant smile not faltering a bit as Guilix just face palmed and wouldn't even try to reply to his sort of tamer, just going back to sniffing about, getting closer and closer to a girl sitting on a bench sneaking up behind still smelling the scent of digimon and the digital world. He quietly sniffed under the bech trying to maintain his cover until... bingo.
"AH HA!!!!!", he shouted his head popping out rigth under the bench between the girl's legs and turning to look up. "No Hiding! Where's the digimon?!"
Josh sorta stared not knowing what to say, seeing the awkward situation, knowing a bit more about personal space than the reptile.

Alexander walked down the street, humming to himself. Clair walking next to him, her arms crossed. Until reaching a large plaza. He could only assume it was for that dog statue...thingie. The people were loud, obnoxious, annoying. Or at least, Clair thought so. Alexander was either blissfully unaware, or experienced at ignoring it. Alexander was busy messing around with his new Digivice. The two were heading towards Alexander's house, after dealing with...a Betsumon , the duo were sufficiently traumatized. Alexander stopped suddenly. Looking through the crowd, everything seemed normal. But something was...off. Maybe there were two dead kids fighting evil graffiti frogs. Everything was suddenly quiet, Clair noticed, calm, non-disturbing. Empty. Much better.
"Well, that happened." Alexander said, looking around the rather empty plaza, Alexander plopped down on a Bunch, Clair following suit, however far more gracefully.
"Hey Clair? Do you know the FUN song?" Alexander asked with a grin.
"I don't believe I've heard of that one." Alexander grinned even wider and started singing loudly.
"F IS FOR FRIENDS THAT DO STUFF TOGETHER~" Alexander sang.

She hadn’t really been paying attention – was that really an explanation for the next few moments of events. Maybe not, but it probably helped the panic which struck Kirsten when something appeared from below the bench, screaming something about digimon. And of course Kirsten reacted the only way which was appropriate for anyone, by screaming and swinging her foot up in an effort to connect with it’s head. She hadn’t really check what it was, but logic hopefully was capable of deducing that nothing human had that decent a grasp of language, while still having a lack of awareness of appropriate behaviour.
”What, who, why?” Words scrambled out of her mouth as she attempted to get some kind of hold on the situation. If she had actually been paying any attention she might have noticed at this point that her digivice had decided to start buzzing in her jumper pocket, something it hadn’t done in a long time. ”You creep.” She managed some more words, hoping that she had managed to make some kind of dent in the thing below her.
The word digimon then stuck itself back into her head, as she tried to figure out more about what had just happened. It seemed that things where catching back up to her. Maybe it was impossible to escape this digital world, and the things within it. Still, it had taken it at least a year to manage to catch back up with her again.

"There's no use in -GAUUMMPHHHHH", he was trying to sound all tough from between the girl's legs confident she'd comply to his superior skills manliness coolness and then WHAM! He grunted and yelped as he was kicked hard right under the chin being sent skidding against the ground in front of the bench. "GAH WHAT THE HELL! Geesh you must be wearing steel toed boots or something what's wrong with you human!?", he growled sitting up and flailing his arms, seeming upset and a bit in pain. It probably didn't hurt so much as it was surprising.
Josh's jaw was kinda dropped at the whole scene. color=orange]"haah oh dear, quite the situation"[/color], he chuckled before running a bit and jumping clear over the bench, sticking the landing facing his digimon partner(ish). It was weird but somehow even seeing him from behind one could tell he was smiling. "Guilix buddy come on, you gotta try to remember our talks on personal space a bit better.", He'd chuckle to the ultimate before just turnign his head and upper body a bit to look at the girl behind him. "Oh and sorry to you about all this, He means well he just doesn't know certain human concepts. He was just trying to do his job", he explained and rubbed the back of his head.
^_^"

Clair had enough of Alexander's singing, and hit him in the back of the head with a scowl. Alexander yelped as his glasses off his head and skidded across the plaza. Alexander frowned and crossed his arms.
"Well, now you have to go find them. I could get lost, or abused, or worse!" Alexander said, making a big show by waiving his arms around.
"Whatever. You stay put or I'll set you on fire." Clair said, getting up and walking across the plaza with a yawn. she suddenly froze, eyes widening for a second before narrowing.
"A Digimon. Perfect." Clair said, now running across the plaza. Then she stopped, in time to see something get kicked. Things were going to get interesting.
"What is going on over here?" Clair asked.

Apparently it had been quite an impressive kick which Kirsten had somehow managed to pull off. It had certainly given the creepy thing coming out from below her something to think about, and if she’d be so lucky, maybe teach it a thing or two about personal space, and how not to invade someones. She continued to glare at the creature, slightly oblivious to the arrival of other people on the scene, only even really realising that there was anyone else present when she heard them speak. Her head flicked up to view the arrival, a human boy who was talking about how it wasn’t the digimons fault, and how it was his job or something like that.
”Seems like a funny way to do a job…” She trailed off, picking up on something else she hadn’t realised in the previous seconds. ”Wait, what job, what was he doing?” Kirsten glared back down at the digimon again, fairly determined to try and muster up some kind of intimidation against the creature. It felt appropriate to do so. At this point another person appeared who also seemed curious about the events. She didn’t really want to have to recap anything, especially given that nothing interesting had really occurred that she was willing to reveal.
”Oh, nothing much, just an accident.”

Josh was in no way insinuating it wasn't his partners fault, he was just apologizing for him, Guilix being much to stubborn to do it himself. "Jeesh if this is how she treats strangers imagine how her poor digimon must feel!", he grumbled still trying to rub away the stinging in his chin. He was quite the accusative digimon wasn't he.
"Aww come one guilix I bet she's a great tamer, you just surprised her! Haha, and indeed This is our job, in a way... though usually I handle in a more respectful manner.", Josh added nodding and fully turning around. "I am Joshua Sparks, the Commissioner of DATS, and it's my job to make this city and the world safe for Humanity by regulating and hiding the existence of digimon in this city.", he proclaimed, his smile almost seeming to gleam near the end as he gave a thumbs up.
"You see my colleague here was able to sniff out your digimon and We noticed you're unregistered on our radar, So we'd kindly ask you to register your status as a tamer to avoid any future intrusion and help us keep the city safe.", he added with a smile as Guilix noticed the other digimon approach.
"Hey Boss, we got another one"
"Hmm, oh hi there! Did you also hear what I said? Do you have a tamer too? If not solos can register as well!", he'd give a confirming nod.

OOC: Jabey said to skip him this time around.
Her glaring had resulting in an insult by the digimon, and that had just sort of made Kirsten slightly more annoyed at the creature. That said, she had stopped glaring by this point, there where too many other variables for her to concentrate on being angry at one thing, when there where other people speaking, saying things which she would probably be better off listening to.
The boy, who had identified himself as Joshua, was talking about what she assumed was some kind of organisation. Well it was something with initials anyway, and that most likely would mean that it was meant to be some kind of organisation. Apparently they wanted her to register or something, something about Zarph, who would hopefully still be sleeping at home, or keeping out of sight of anyone. He did enjoy upsetting the dog living nextdoor though, but Kirsten remembered giving him very strict instruction to just stop bothering it. He listened, for about an hour most of the time.
”I don’t know what you’re talk about. These creatures, whatever they are, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She stood up from the bench at this point, revealing that she was significantly smaller than Joey was. Kirsten wasn’t exactly sure how to proceed now, she was lying through her teeth, and Joey probably knew this. But she didn’t particularly want to reveal this.

"Don't know? You sure? I mean the fact that you can see Guilix kinda means you indeed know of these digital creatures...", Josh said not really seeming off put by her lies, in face he seemed to be taking into consideration that he could have been wrong. "Though it's very possible I could be wrong, and you are just a very observant person! Which would be worth quite the kudos heh.", he chuckled towering over her... he always was taller than most so he always practiced talking down without 'talking down'.
"Pffff oh pleaasseeeeeeee", The digimon scoffed approaching the human girl again arms crossed as he'd sniff her right up close and step back, looking like he was gunna gag his nose scrunched. "Gah well aside from just reeking in general she also reeks of the digital world, My nose doesn't lie sweet cakes it's never been wrong once!", he scoffed again standing proud, usually being shorter to people he learned to talk down to people from below.
"Cut the act and just register already Jeeze what is it with you tamers, you all want to be rebels and not register when really all it does it help you guys... I mean, we do it so we don't track you down and bother you again! It's not like we're going to stalk you or control you or some weirdo crap...", The chibi ranted and Josh would sigh.
"Sorry for guilix's bluntness, but he's right. We're an organization who tracks rouge digimon in the human world to maintain peace, the registering process is so we know that you're not a rouge or evil digimon so we can leave you alone... unless you cause a ruckus of course. ", The human nodded trying to explain.

This minor battle of wills, if you could call it that, was basically proving to be a stalemate. On one side you had Kirsten, now backed up into her own corner, having picked to go on the defensive and outright denial of knowing anything to do with the digimon, and anything associated with it. The lying seemed to be justifiable enough to her, she had no inclination to allow Josh to take any kind of details on her or Zarph. She just didn’t like the idea of it at all, it seemed so intrusive, and since she hadn’t ever heard of this organisation, and it had been over a year since she had last been anywhere near the digital world she did feel quite doubtful towards what was actually going on. Basically she just wanted to leave the situation now, though ideas of what she could do afterwards where shaky at best.
She brushed past Josh and his digimon, edging herself free from being between the people and the bench, speaking as she went.
”I think I need to go.”
With that she continued to walk, not looking back, heart beginning to thump quite loudly. She was a bit in shock, but the rather thinly thought out plan was beginning to formulate in her head. She would go home, pack up things, and head off to the digital world, keep herself and Zarph away from this boy, and whatever he wanted to register them for. She didn’t care for how harmless he was claiming it to be, she just literally didn’t want to deal with it. Her walk continued at a brisk enough pace as she walked off, not checking behind her at all.
