"Ah, finally!"
Oh, this felt like it had been ages! For so long, there was so much bad news floating around the Digital World: chaos in Terminus, a dark and terrifying storm engulfing the entire continent, political uprisings, and even just common rioting abound. Sure, some tamers would think of it as a 'call to arms', but this tamer really just couldn't get a lead on anything. No, it seemed like a good time to get involved with real world issues, with manageable things such as tests and exams.
But, with all of the tremors having died down, this seemed like a perfect opportunity to just 'kick it' and have a grand old time in the Digital World... and what better place than the tourist trap that was Whitewater! With a frozen ice in her hand (made from some sort of Digital fruit that seemed to be a cross between a lime and an orange), Ami found herself on the sand, laying back on a beach chair to let her feet get some rest.
"Don't think I've seen you like this before, Ami." With a small chuckle, the small golden rabbit, Valeria the Usagimon, was digging up the sand several feet in front of her. As far as the Digimon could tell, this was good: it was a long while since she was able to just breathe the air of the Digital World, and this felt oh-so-much-better for the data creature. Everything was just so familiar, the childish rabbit idly molding the sand into something resembling a castle. "I think it suits you: all the stress and worrying was giving you an old look!"
"Oh, shaddup already." Flinging a bit of sand at the rabbit, Ami grinned: "Just make sure when you blow up those castles, you aren't blasting sand in my face."
"And who said I'd be blowing them up?"
"..."
"... Alright, fine." The rabbit shrugged. "I'll try."
"Good rabbit." With another small chuckle, Ami leaned back, and just let the peaceful minutes roll by....

It was such a wonderful day at the beach,Which was the reason why the girl had dragged the beast to the Whitewater beach with her, who had begrudgingly followed her since he had no choice in the first place, since they were partners and everything. Not only that, but he definitely did not want to see her getting hurt because he was absent from her presence, although the girl had told the DexDorugamon and attempted calmed him down by saying that she absolutely would not get hurt by anything in the lovely day at the beach, but he didn't really believe her really. Comes with the overprotectiveness trait. The girl sighed in response and so dragged the beast instead with her, though he did have to make sure that everything was fine at the beach first and that the weather was pretty fine before he allowed the girl to go to the beach. Rather than frowning, the girl smiled lightly, noting the beast's overprotectiveness as an endearing trait, and one she wouldn't mind keeping as long as he managed to keep it in check, of course. And she was there to do so, at least she thought she could. The two of them were walking along the sides of the beach, the girl with light steps on her feet while her partner trudging along behind her distastefully yet obediently. Rika was watching the curl of the waves form, and then crashing by on the beach while her partner was slightly less interested in nature and much more so on the inhabitants of the beach and other, similar visitors. A pair particularly caught his eyes, where a tamer had laid on a bench and her bunny digimon was talking about blowing things up. Blasting things up? His ears perked up and he knew that that was something dangerous, something clearly that they had to avoid. The girl didn't notice it at first, but when she did, it was far too late as the DexDorugamon had already curled up into a metal ball and then had shot himself at the tamer and digimon duo, to which he came in like a wrecking ball. Though in the end, he would miss and would crash into the beach with a huge blast of sand going everywhere several feet away from the tamer and her bunny partner, Rika would stand, stunned by the development. Only a few seconds later she would then run up to the tamer and the bunny and she would say, "I am so, so sorry for my partner, he didn't know what he was doing!" and then glancing at both the bunny and the tamer, she would continue, "Er, are you alright?"[OOC: I'm so sorry for the song choice, I didn't know what to choose and the song came on the radio. Just had to do it. ... At least it's a good song >.> <.<]

Ah... but they couldn't just catch a break, now could they? Just when they were about to kick back and enjoy a day full of nothing, a definite rumble could be felt on the sands, Valeria's ear perking up as she looked up. She blinked, her eyes widening up at the sight and sound of a huge rolling pinball heading straight for them! With her fur in hackles, the Digimon lowered herself onto all fours, ready to attack or Digivolve or do whatever she had to do! "U-um, Ami?"
The tamer, having felt the sand tremor beneath them, was already up from her beach chair, quickly scooping up the small rookie in her arms. There was no way to Digivolve fast enough, and besides, Ami's instinct here was stuck on run! "Got it, got it! Let's- gah!"
Fortunately, as well as unfortunately, the wrecking ball crashed short into a dune, soft sand exploding out towards them, sweeping both of them off of their feet. Thankfully, the landing wasn't all that hard - just a thick dusting of sand over everything - as a dazed Ami slowly got up to her knees. "Dearie me... and I thought today was going to be a good day..." Her right hand quickly clutched at her Digivice, ready to evolve her partner at a moment's notice.
That was until Rika came forward, and apologized for her Digimon's actions. A bit lost in adrenaline, the tamer blinked, before it finally clicked: "Oh? Oh! Oh, don't worry about it!" Moving a hand back to begin straightening the sand out of her hair, Ami chuckled: "You gave us a little scare there, though... Valeria and I were just trying to take a break from all of the fights. Isn't that right, um..."
Well, someone was missing. With a concerned glance around the corner, Ami called out: "Valeria?"
And with that, a single yellow ear popped out from under a pile of sand, the rabbit taking a deep breath inward. "Sheesh... hey, lady! Why's your Digimon get all the fun?!" Giving a pout, she turned away and mumbled: "I wanted to be the one to tear apart that sandcastle..."
"... Well, I guess we're both in one piece, anyway." Returning her attention to Rika, Ami looked towards the collapsed metal ball: "Your Digimon gonna be okay, there?"

Oh gosh, the poor girl and her partner were just trying to have some time off from the whole chaos that this unusual world presented, and Rika flew in without any warning, blowing it off unexpectedly! Not only that but she had also scared the poor girl! "Oh no, that's horrible, I really am so so so sorry for causing havoc and wrecking your plans for the day, I hope you will forgive us!" she apologized sincerely, bowing to the girl.
When the girl looked around to find her partner, who Rika assumed to be the bunny that the beast had aimed himself at but missed, she began to worry. A lot. The beast couldn't have actually hit the bunny, could he? From what she saw, it was very unlikely, and... No, it just couldn't be right if the bunny was hurt by the beast too, that would be very rude towards the girl and... The bunny would be hurt!
Though her worry instantly disappeared when she noticed the yellow ear poking out from the sand, and the bunny looking well and giddy like any other day, as if nothing had happened other than the unexpected sandstorm. Rika couldn't help but giggle when she saw the bunny complaining that RIka's partner had received all the fun, the bunny was just too cute not to laugh at, or at least that was what Rika had thought!
When the girl mentioned about Rika's own partner though, the beast that was called a 'digimon', she was only then reminded of his existence. Looking warily around as well, biting her lip, she was immediately relieved when a part of the electrifying tail of the DexDorugamon appeared into existence from under the pile of sand, and the metal body began to reveal itself bit by bit. Once the beast was able to stand perfectly, he shook his head off the sand and blinked twice from confusion, completely unfamiliar to the grains of sand that surrounded him.
"Oh! There you are, Graham!" Rika exclaimed as the beast began to walk wobbly towards her and she ran over to him as well, although the beast growled still at the girl and her bunny, Rika shushed the beast, "They're not evil, they're good people. so don't go around attacking them, okay!" the beast protested with yet another growl and a glare, but he stood his ground anyways, and the both of them returned to the pair.
"Um, hi!" She said cheerily, waving at the girl and her bunny, "I don't think we got off to the right start earlier! My name is Rika, and this is Graham, it's nice to meet you both!"

Ah, good! Although Ami wasn't worried that anything horrible happened to the other Digimon (it seemed alright enough when it was rolling towards them, anyway), it was good to see that Rika's Digimon (which looked like some sort of armored griffin, as far as Ami could tell) was alright... if not much for words. Actually, Graham's demeanor came off as somewhat odd to the tamer: why was it responding to the girl with grunts and gruff looks? It seemed to act more like a dog than a 'person'.
"Jeez." Pulling herself fully out of the sand pile, the rabbit shook out her fur, hopping over to Ami's side. "Just be glad I'm a digging rabbit... hm?" As with Ami, Graham caught Valeria's eye as well. She wasn't unfamiliar with 'wild' Digimon, but for one of them to be given a partner was something that was rare indeed.
"Um, I don't mean to be rude, but mind if I go to champion? I'd rather not be a foot tall right now..."
"Er, go ahead." Giving a quick nod to the rabbit, Ami looked towards Rika as she introduced herself. "Sorry, she's not the most tactful Digimon. I'm Ami, and she's Valeria." She referenced the bright flash of light behind her, the fairy 'Chisiomon' appearing from the light, now only slightly shorter than Ami.
"Graham, right?" Floating a bit around, the plant Digimon looked towards the DexDorumon, and gave a small smile: "She's right, we're not here for trouble..."
And I'd rather not be crushed by you rolling around!
"Nice to meet you as well. Your partner seems, um... 'protective'." Ami's tone suggested she had a little trouble coming up with a neutral word to describe him. It was just a bit bizarre!

Rika didn't really understand what the bunny meant when she said that she would rather 'not be a foot tall'. Does that mean that these creatures were able to become new and taller versions of themselves... Through some way? Rika didn't really understand, but she was also even more confused when the girl (who had just recently introduced herself as Ami) gave the go sign for the bunny. Though Rika finally found out for herself when a flash of light appeared and the bunny disappeared, and out came a fairy-like creature.
"Wh-What happened to the bunny?" Rika stuttered, clasping her hands over her mouth at the same time, fumbling over her words though staring at the new and revealed creature, "Why is there a fairy now? What's going on?"
In response, however, Graham only growled when he noticed that the bunny had digivolved. He really was not buying the statement that the bunny was pacifist for the moment, who would digivolve because they felt short? He bared his fangs at the pair and was about to lunge at the two...
Until Rika held the DexDorugamon back, eliciting yet another growl from the beast. "Are you sure you're not here from trouble? But what happened to you, then?" she asked, quite in a panicky state, and in response to the girl, she answered, "Er... Yeah, he's quite protective, but he's not allowed to attack others!" she berated, wagging her finger at the DexDorugamon, to which he growled but obediently settled from his offensive stance.

Hm?
"What happened to the... bunny?" Well, this was cute! From a briefly confused expression, a smile appeared on Valeria's face, looking towards Rika with a chuckle. Valeria quickly apologized for her laughter: "I'm sorry, its just so rare! I figured that since you already had such a powerful partner, you'd know a little bit about us!"
"Um... nice boy..." Hearing Gharam growl a bit, a nervous grin grew on Ami's lips, the tamer stepping back a bit as she nodded towards the fairy: "Why don't you explain it?"
"Oh, sure, sure." Oh, the nostalgia... she remembered when Ami knew barely anything about Digimon, too! "Well, I digivolved! See, as Ami is my 'tamer', she's able to focus energy into her Digivice to make me change form. The little bunny is 'Usagimon', my rookie form. And the fairy you see now," she flapped her wings, "is Chisiomon, my champion form. Your friend over there is a champion as well, so I just assumed that he evolved once already. But, you just have a champion partner, then?"
It was then, though, that she noticed DexDorugamon's tense nature, and flew a few feet back, trying not to set off Rika's partner. "He does seem a bit... 'wild', though. No offense."
"Eheh..." Well, it was hard to get close to Rika to offer a handshake or anything, even after Gharam was finally made to settle down. "Well, I think its nice. Its obvious the guy cares for her... but how do you get him to calm down so well?"
If Ami had to guess, if she tried to get close to Gharam, well, that didn't sound like such an amazing idea!
