Okay... where am I... I must be asleep, on the tube, with the toaster. That would explain why I feel alive and yet am clearly not in my room. This is a spiritual awakening and I am having a vision... ow... or I may be very much in not my tube and instead in an actual jungle... that's about the most normal thing that has happened all week...
Popping to her feet, she took a look around her surroundings. Lush forested area, no matter where she looked. There was also the odd number of wires seemingly coming out of the trees.
One look at those wires was enough to make her realize that something was very much amiss, and yet...
"... so that's where they put the telephone wires. No wonder people fight hard to preserve the trees! They're are one connection to everything on earth! Or I could be inside some kind of digital world and this is how it chooses to represent itself... How long was I out?!"
A very important thought finally entered her mind.
"Ami! She's on her way to the air port! She's going to leave the U.S. soon! I need to get to figure out how far into her trip she is! Oh, for all I know, she's already there and waiting for me! I need to get to her post haste!"
"And yet..." she stated, looking around her current position, "I have no idea where I am... maybe I should try to find a local and ask for directions?" She looked around again, more on the ground than anything else.
"Hey! My back pack! My things! Wherever I got kidnapped, they were kind enough to leave me this at least! I should probably pick out what would actually help me... Oh gosh, Lappy!" Of course she would worry about her lap top. It had served her loyally since she had gotten it from her last birthday. It booted up and seemed to work just fine.
"Oh thank goodness... I'm so glad you're okay Lappy... yeah, I know that was some ride... you wouldn't happen to know the time, would you?" Her eyes widened when she saw the date. "Oh gosh, I've been out for almost a week?!?! She's probably here and freaking out right now! We need to get to her real quick! Hey, don't give me lip! I know you've been through a rough time, but we can't do much about it now! We'll get home then I'll check on your circuits! Deal! Deal." With that, she collected her laptop, her favorite pen, and a generous number of sheets of thin papers.
"Alright, time to find... what in the... is this?" There was a device strapped to her bag. She knew for a fact that she didn't own a device such as this.
"Well, whatever," She replied, deciding to keep it, "Some spirit left this for me, so obviously it's going to help keep me safe here somehow. Let's hope I won't need it." With everything accounted for, she started walking. Pick a direction and go, right? Hopefully she will find some help soon.
