To the Digital World! (Mitsuko/Alicia)

Mitsuko squealed with delight as Alicia sped away. The young musician held on tightly to Alicia, she couldn't help it! The experience on the motorcycle was amazing, even riding sidesaddle! "This is what flying must be like..." Mitsuko mused to herself. Looking behind her she could see her hair, and flowing dress, whipping wildly in the wind! Silver and blue cascading together, it was beautiful.
Mitsuko wondered if Alicia's Digital form would be as fast as the motorcycle. No sooner did it seem that they were speeding through the city, they had stopped. Mitsuko slid off of the motorcycle gracefully, taking off the helmet.
"That was... just... wow!" Mitsuko exclaimed, "Please tell me we can do that again!" Her bell like laughter chimed softly. Mitsuko quickly ran her hands through her hair, smoothing it back into its usual place. Mitsuko looked up at the train station, it looked so... normal. Then again, Mitsuko doubted there would be a giant sign that said "Digital world this way!"
Mitsuko turned to Alicia, "Would you mind leading the way?" She twirled a strand of hair nervously. "I am ready to go, whenever you are. Just lead the way." Mitsuko smiled softly.

Alicia smirked to herself at just how much Mitsuko seemed to be enjoying the ride. She was certainly being loud enough to be heard even over the engine of the vehicle. That was pretty much how she felt like the first time she took the machine out for a metaphorical spin and she'd been hooked on motorcycles from that day forward. That they were easier on the wallet to keep fueled up was just icing on the cake.
But alas, every ride comes to a stop sooner or later. Letting Mitsuko get off first, Alicia then dismounted and locked the machine, before taking out thick chains and cording to tie the machine down and lock it in place. She wanted to dissuade thieves as much as possible, after all.
"Sure. We'll be needing it to get us back home after all when we're done combing the Digital World." Alicia replied to the musician's excitement. Then she waved for the silverette to follow her, smiling. Heading into the station, she lead her friend down and side tracked away from the main terminals. In an ironic twist, everything seemed different about when she'd first gone to the Digital World and her leading Mitsuko there.
Mainly, she'd been an unexpected factor to Kai. Here she'd planned on having Mitsuko around. Oh well, irony is irony. The Steel Spirit User smiled to herself as they reached what seemed to be an old, rundown, and unused terminal.
"Don't worry, I'm not leading you into a dead-end." She said right away, pulling her D-Scanner out. "Follow me through, alright? Just wave your Digivice like so..." She swiped her own Digivice close to the scanner, causing it to open up. "And continue on! See you on the other side!"
And with that she walked through, vanishing from Mitsuko's sight as she stepped into the Trailmon Terminal once more. There, she waited for the musician to arrive as well.

Mitsuko followed the Spirit User through the train station, her heeled boots clicking with each step. It seemed ironic that all of these people were unaware that a portal to another world was just a few terminals away! "I was one of them..." Mitsuko mused softly.
She followed Alicia to what seemed like a dead end, except there was a scanner, which had a solid red light. Clearly this identified this area as restricted. Mitsuko opened her mouth to ask Alicia if they had made a wrong turn, when Alicia explained the process. Mitsuko watched the other girl scan her D-Tector, the light changed green, and Alicia slipped away from view. Mitsuko swallowed the lump in her throat. This was it, if her Digivice opened the door, she was truly a Chosen One. Mitsuko fumbled inside of her bag, pulling out the familiar, yet foreign device. She looked at the teal and white digivice, then slowly slid it, screen side front, towards the scanner.
Her heart pounded in her ears, but when a green light appeared, relief flooded the musician's body. She hadn't realized that she had been holding her breath, until it came out in a soft sigh. Mitsuko couldn't help but to grin widely, as she stepped into the terminal.
Mitsuko looked around the room, she was in awe of what she saw. Blinking her eyes a few times, she made sure she wasn't hallucinating. "What... where?" Mitsuko was at a loss for words as she looked at Alicia, awestruck.

Smirking a bit, she knew that kind of response very well. It was similar to her own when she first realized what had happened. "This is the Trailmon Terminal. As it was explained to me, its kind of a 'world between worlds'. Here is one of maybe two places where the Human World we know joins up with the Digital World. And as the name would suggest, the trains here are actually Digimon. Try not to think too hard about that."
A loud train whistle blew, heralding the arrival of one of said train Digimon, the doors to it's cars opening up with little preamble and the stereotypical call of 'All aboard!' The Steel Spirit User couldn't help but chuckle to herself. "As soon as this guy pulls away, we'll be on a trip to Terminus City, which is similar to our metropolis cities. Digimon of all shapes and sizes go about their days there in actually a fairly similar way to us. Thankfully if we don't draw attention to ourselves they don't pay humans much mind except maybe to go 'Oh hey, that's unusual'. Also there are Trailmon heading to pretty much any other part of the Digital World from Terminus as well."
Nodding to herself, she went over to the Trailmon's car and put a foot on, holding her hand out to Mitsuko. "Ready to roll out? Once we arrive we'll be able to look for your partner in earnest."
At that point though, the Trailmon in question seemed to... recognize Alicia? "Aah! You again? Don't go start another fight on my head, please!" The poor thing sounded oddly desperate when it realized exactly who would be one of it's passengers.
To her credit Alicia managed to avoid face falling at suddenly being called out. Thank the heavens the two women were the only ones there. "It wasn't my fault! One of my spirits was hidden in a very awkward place to reach and I had no idea someone would attack me for it!" What she couldn't avoid was the fact that her face flushed red from embarrassment, after which she promptly face palmed.
"Long story..." she muttered to Mitsuko, hoping that and her return outburst would be enough to stem any more embarrassment.

Mitsuko tried not to over think about riding inside of a Digimon. With a small shudder, she grabbed Alicia's offered hand and hoisted herself into the train car.
"When we get to... Terminus City, will we be taking another train, or that... other mode of transportation you spoke of before?" Mitsuko played with a strand of her hair.
When the Trailmon recognized Alicia, Mitsuko flashed the spirit user a questioning glance. " Well, we have a long ride, I'm assuming, so we have time to talk about it. If you want that is!" Mitsuko added that last sentence, suddenly aware of Alicia's embarrassment.
Quickly Mitsuko released her hair, trying to change the subject for Alicia. "How are we going to find my partner? A Digital World doesn't exactly sound... small scale." Mitsuko removed her violin case from her back, and softly sat down into a seat, sinking backwards into the cushions.
Too many emotions flooded the young woman. Hope, fear, uncertainty, excitement, anxiety. Not a single one lingered vividly, they all seemed to want her attention at the same time. With a small sigh, she looked at her Digivice, that was still clutched in her right hand. Mitsuko closed her eyes, yes, she had to have faith... hope... things will work out the way they are meant to.

With a sigh Alicia took a seat, and the Trailmon was off. "Well I suppose I should explain what happened if only so you're not left in the dark." It was only fair, the whole mess had come up already, albeit unexpectedly.
"See, us Spirit Users have it a bit harder then Tamers, and not just the fact that we're on the front lines instead of supporting a partner. From what I know, a Tamer's partner can grow into their various stages of evolution just with time and maybe training. Spirit Users, though, when we want to get a new form, we have to hunt the Digital World for these things called Spirit Totems.
Fortunately, when one becomes available, our D-scanners notify us and give us a map to their general location, so our search is already narrowed down significantly. I, however, seem to have terrible luck. One of my earlier totems was actually lodged in the ceiling of one of these train tunnels. If it wasn't for some quick friends showing up, I may never have gotten it at all. Heh, I really did owe Elliot and Isaac a lot that day."
Alicia smiled a bit fondly, taking a moment to look out the window as if remembering that time. She really enjoyed the moments she got with Elliot and Isaac. They were a great pair and the best surrogate little brothers one could ask for.
"Anyways, it was quite a funny scene, the three of us getting up on top of the Trailmon in our Sprite forms. Elliot and Isaac, respectively, became Veemon and Impmon while my Sprite form is Rustdramon. Think a little four foot tall dinosaur critter in rusty armor that's just a bit over sized. Anyways, Isaac had to haul me up with levitation powers so I could get to the totem and pry it out. Elliot was there to catch anyone that was falling uncontrollably. There wasn't too much incident in retrieving the totem, thankfully."
Then Alicia frowned a bit, remembering the time where she almost lost herself in rage. "But then some greedy, no good dinosaur decided he wanted the totem for himself. He and his partner ambushed us, so I had to use the Spirit Totem we'd just recovered immediately, becoming Steeldramon. It wasn't quite a match for the dinosaur digimon's goon in a straight up fight, but thankfully I was able to out maneuver him. Elliot and Isaac were a big help too, but seeing them get thrown off... I had feared the worst and something in me just snapped."
The redhead looked down and shook her head, sighing again. She was lucky she had Sol there to talk her down or otherwise... "I won't lie... that was a pretty dark moment for me. I almost killed someone in a rush of hate and rage, consumed by a desire for revenge." That had never quite sat well with her, even if she was able to bury it under heaps of good memories.
"So... yeah that's the tale behind this big guy recognizing me." the Steel Spirit User finished, looking back up. Now it was time to get back to the other topic Mitsuko had brought up. She did appreciate that the musician tried to give her something else to think about so that she didn't have to recount that misadventure.
"Finding your partner's... not going to be easy, I think. With any luck, though, your Digivice will be able to do the same thing for you what my D-Scanner does for me when I go hunting a Spirit Totem, that is spawning a map that would lead us to the general location. Otherwise? It's a tall order, the Digital World is at least as big as our world, if not bigger."
Alicia smirked at that, humming. "However, given how destiny seemed to play such a big role with us, I'm sure even without the support we'll come across your partner sooner rather then later. Heck, for all I know he or she may come tumbling out of the sky and land on your head!" With that, she couldn't help but laugh to herself at the joke. "As for how we'll get around? We'll use the other method so that we're not as dependent on the Trailmon tracks."
This was going to be quite the day, wasn't it?

Mitsuko listened to Alicia's story, completely enraptured by the Spirit User's recollection. As the story progressed, Mitsuko became extremely still, almost statuesque. The only movement was her soft breathing, and her hair and dress billowing around her slender frame from a gentle breeze from an open window. For the second time today, she felt fear, not because of Alicia, but because of the unknown dangers that awaited them. She reasoned that there is a potential of danger even in the real world, and slowly her fear faded.
"It must be a terrible burden," Mitsuko said softly "But your intentions were pure. You reacted out of love and fear for your friends." Mitsuko placed her hand on the Spirit User's knee. "You have nothing to be ashamed of." The musician leaned back into her seat and focused on the lighter subjects.
"Well, I am glad we will be using that other mode of transportation. I mean, I like trains, but I just hoped to experience the digital world in person. Not in a train." Mitsuko added softly, brushing away a strand of hair that blew into her face. "Hopefully with a bit of luck this thing will lead us in the right direction." Mitsuko held up her digivice, before putting it back into her bag. She felt the train slowing down, and if she thought the Trailmon Terminal was impressive, Terminal City took her breath away. Gaping slightly, Mitsuko's eyes widened, she pulled her gaze from the window to look at Alicia completely befuddled!
