And So It Begins... [Alicia and Mitsuko]

Mitsuko felt the rush of air as they headed towards what seemed like a never-ending destination! "Alicia, We need to go a bit more east!" Mitsuko called over the strong winds, as she leaned towards the great dragon's head. Mitsuko could feel her dress and hair billowing all around her. Idly she wondered what they looked like from the ground. The musician suppressed her grin, and checked her digivice once again. "It looks like that village up ahead is our final destination. The signal is not moving anymore." Mitsuko quickly tucked the Digivice into her bag, and leaned into Alicia. "Ready when you are!" Mitsuko called to Alicia with a small chuckle, her voice full of the adrenaline that coursed through her own body.

The Mercurialdramon looked back at her passenger at the note of a course correction. Simple enough, with a slight incline of her wings sent her into an almost lazy swerve into the right direction. It took her a while longer to spot the village Mitsuko was trying to point at, but once she did the dragon smirked.
“Hang on tight then, Mitsuko, I’m feeling a little show offish today.” As she said that she morphed a bit of her body to provide handy grips for the musician and gave her a few moments to grab on tight.
Then she beat her wings hard, arcing her body up and over, practically pulling one of the tightest somersaults the world had ever seen. At the end of it though? She tucked her wings in and dived. If Mitsuko thought the wind was blowing hard in flight, it was nothing compared to what was going on now. And with how fast they were going, the ground was coming up rather quick.
With a smirk, Alicia snapped her wings back open and pulled up at the last second, ending with the two soaring about a foot over the ground as the liquid dragon shifted to brake and touchdown like a Boeing 747 airplane, galloping on all fours for a bit once her feet touched the ground before slowing to a trot and pulling up beside the village’s entrance.
“Wow! That was definitely a thing... too much fun, that. Anyways, here we are Mitsuko.” Alicia quipped softly, looking over her shoulder to the musician on her back.

Mitsuko felt giddy during the flight. At Alica's warning of feeling show offish, the young musician couldn't help stifle a small giggle. Mitsuko grasped the grips, and yelled "Lets see what you've got!" Mitsuko felt Alicia arc into the somersault, and squealed with delight. Mitsuko gave a shrill scream, one that ripped through two octaves! Mitsuko was, ironically, impressed she was able to hit a note that high!
As they landed the young tamer-to-be ran a hand through her hair, giggling all the while. "That was truly impressive. WAY better than the motorcycle! Not that it wasn't fun... but just ... WOW!" Mitsuko gracefully slid off of Alicia's back, pulling out her D-3 checking her coordinates again. "It looks like a small walk this way." Mitsuko pointed towards the edge of the village. After a half a dozen steps, a bush to the left of Mitsuko rustled. Leaning towards the bush, a red and blue creature jumped out at Mitsuko, its nine tails fanned out behind itself.
"Who are you!" The creature yelled. Mitsuko screamed, this time in fear. Her digivice falling to the lush grass in front of her feet, as she stumbled backwards and fell (ungracefully) over a log and onto her butt. The Digimon looked at the Digivice, and back to Mitsuko "Excuse me, I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were a tamer." The Digimon said. "Please allow me to help you." The Digimon gently bent down, and picked the D-3 up in his mouth, depositing it onto Mitsuko's lap. Quickly Mitsuko grabbed it, and stood back up.
Her digivice registered the digimon infront of her as Elecmon, a rookie level digimon. "I-I-I'm sorry!" Mitsuko muttered. "I didn't mean to scream at you." Elecmon just shook his head with a deep throaty laugh. "It's okay kid. It happens. I startled you. Part of my job. I protect the Digi Eggs here at the Village of Beginnings." Elecmon turned towards Alicia "Well, you must not be her Digimon partner, otherwise you would have attacked me by now. So, that means you must both be here looking for this Tamer's Partner." Elecmon finished brashly.

Alicia smiled softly as Mitsuko slipped off her back, following the musician inside. She was quite surprised to hear such a note from the silverette though. She honestly hadn’t thought the other girl capable of going that high either. Either way, they were here now and it wouldn’t do well to keep Mitsuko’s partner waiting, so the Mercurialdramon followed her friend in.
That plan was slightly derailed as the guardian of the village popped up and spooked poor Mitsuko. Alicia winced a bit as the musician toppled over the log, biting her lip in concern. Still, she could tell the Elecmon wasn’t trying to be hostile, just protective of its charges. So she let the two converse for a bit.
She couldn’t help but smirk though when the Elecmon turned to address her. “Heh, I like this guy. Yeah, I’m not her partner, I was just acting as her guardian in the Digital World until she could find the one she’s suppose to work with. In fact I’m normally not a Digimon at all”
With that, the Steel Spirit Wielder smiled, changing back to her old human self and stretching. “I’m a Spirit Wielder. My name’s Alicia, nice to meet you.”

Mitsuko brushed off her dress hastily. "Yeah, my digivice keeps pointing me in this direction. By the way, I'm Mitsuko" the musician said softly, her eyes cast down at the ground, where a moment ago she had been, ungracefully, sprawled out. Running a hand through her hair, she watched as Alicia returned back to her normal, human, form. It still was a shock seeing her (best?) friend just ... change! However, Mitsuko burst into a fit of giggles as she turned around and looked at Elecmon.
Elecmon's face was temporarily frozen in a state of utter shock. "Well... there's something you don't see everyday..." his gruff voice trailed off. "Not bad Red. I like it. You've got spunk Kid." nodding his approval Elecmon looked back at Mitsuko.
"So, Silver. What direction are we going?" Elecmon added. "I can't just let the two of you go off and get lost on my watch." He added with a bit of pride. "I oversee each one of my charges, until it is their time to leave me. Its part of the job." Elecmon added, with a small chuckle and a wink at both girls.
Mitsuko pointed down the path they were heading, it seemed to lead to a meadow outside the village. The grass was slightly overgrown, but speckled here and there with wildflowers, and eggs of all colors. Mitsuko felt her pulse quicken. One of these eggs held her partner. Somehow she felt almost ... complete. Mitsuko saw something that made her hold her breath. An egg at the top of the hill, at the base of a tree. Somehow the sun filtered through the branches, and reflected back towards the ragtag group. Mitsuko felt her D-3 pulse slightly, she knew this was her partner. Without a word, she ran as fast as she could (in a dress and boots) up the hill.

Alicia chuckled a bit at Elecmon’s return quip. “Yeah, you think it’s weird seeing it. Imagine how I feel going through with it. I don’t think I’ll ever fully get ‘comfortable’ for lack of a better word with that form. Being a big dragon-shaped blob is... awkward on all levels.”
She smiled a bit and trailed after the two as Mitsuko led the way, taking a moment to look at their quite peaceful surroundings. Perfect for a village of baby Digimon it seemed. Part of her wondered how much the Elecmon was actually involved in tending the area and how much of it was just naturally grown that way.
“You certainly take pride in your work, don’t you, Elecmon?” she mused softly. She didn’t get a chance to answer, because then Mitsuko went bolting off all of a sudden. “Hey wait up!” Alicia called, charging off after her. Having worn more practical clothing for journeying in the Digital World, she was easily capable of catching up with the musician.
That was when she saw the egg that got Mitsuko so fired up all of a sudden. Making a soft ‘oh’ sound, she slowed down and backed off. Turning to the electric guardian, she smiled. “I think we found Mitsuko’s partner. Or at least the egg it’ll hatch from.”

Elecmon gave another throaty laugh, "Yeah, that must be pretty awkward." Shaking his head he trailed after both girls. Elecmon puffed out his chest in pride, as Alicia complimented him. "Well, just a bit." If he wasn't already red, one might say he was blushing slightly. Watching Mitsuko and Alicia rush off, Elecmon trailed after them. "Why do my legs have to be so stubby!" Elecmon grumbled as he rushed up the hill. "Hey you guys, be careful!" He shouted as he made his way towards both girls.
Mitsuko stopped running when she reached the tree. Slowly she knelt down in front of the egg. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. The egg was silver, with a gold ring at the top and bottom of the egg. Emblazoned upon the front, however, looked like an ancient insignia. It looked like a music note, but the top part of the note was transformed into an angel wing. Mitsuko felt all sorts of emotions coursing through her body, as her hand reached out towards the egg. Nervousness, pride, excitement, hope, but most of all fear. What if she didn't make a good partner? Her hand stopped, inches away from the egg. A small tear ran down her face.
"Ah, this egg has been here for a while." Elecmon noted, "I bet this one is yours. Don't be afraid Mitsuko."
Mitsuko shook her head, "What if... I'm not good enough? What if I make a mistake, and my partner gets hurt?"
Elecmon nudged his head on her arm. "Well, I can't make any promises that things will be perfect. Your partner may get hurt someday protecting you, but that is part of a Digimon and Tamer's duty. However, I know you will protect each other. I have faith in you both. You've both been waiting for this moment, it's time." Elecmon turned to Alicia, his eyes silently pleading for help.

Alicia sighed softly and walked up to Mitsuko, resting a hand on the other girl’s shoulder. She could understand the musician’s fears and other concerns. Presumably, every Tamer would go through them. She was certain had she been in Mitsuko’s shoe’s she would’ve had the same worries.
“It’s human to make mistakes. And things are hard by the very nature of what we’re supposed to do. That’s why you were given a partner and I granted the powers I now wield. He’ll stick with you through thick and thin because that’s what partners do. And if something goes wrong, you’ve got friends to call on too. You don’t have to go it alone.”
She wasn’t quite sure how well that would go over for Mitsuko, but she hoped it would do something to soothe her fears. Still, what if that wasn’t enough? This was her big chance to finally get the partner that’s been waiting for her for who knows how long! Elecmon even confirmed that this egg has been waiting here for some time!
”If I may intercede in this matter...” the deep voice of Alicia’s first spirit companion spoke as he appeared as tall, armored, and mighty as ever. The steel dragon looked over Alicia’s shoulder to Mitsuko and the egg, speaking with a surprisingly soft tone. ”Mitsuko... Strong threads of fate connect you to this world. What is meant to be shall be. Your mere arrival here is a sign that you are in fact worthy of your partner’s companionship. And as a Digimon with human partner, he will already understand that sometimes that will call for standing in the line of fire to protect the one he cares for. And he will indeed care about your well being. You two already have a great bond, one that transcends the concepts of time and space. Take the egg, so that he may awaken and know who his life long partner is.”
Once he was done, the redhead was debating between breaking the moment by expressing her frustration at Sol’s ability with words and silently thanking him for his assistance. She wasn’t sure which one she leaned towards more, if she had to be honest.
”That’s Sol for you. If he starts talking a lot, people should probably shut up and listen to him.” Kisara commented, though she stayed tucked away in Alicia’s mind so only the spirit wielder heard her.

Mitsuko felt Alicia's hand upon her shoulders, her blue eyes locking onto Alicia's green ones. The new tamer knew the truth in the words that Alicia and Elecmon spoke to her. It still didn't fully expel the fear that grew in Mitsuko's heart. The silverette opened her mouth to convey her fears, but stopped when a tall, armored, steel dragon appeared over Alicia's shoulder. Sol.
Hearing the softness of his rough voice, strangely, comforted Mitsuko. She knew he had a point. Fate was inevitable, yet we all make our own fate. Mitsuko bowed her head, shedding a few more tears. "You're right. All of you. I didn't come all this way for nothing right?" Mitsuko took a deep breath, and closed her eyes. Images of the motorcycle ride, the train ride, the dragon ride flipped through her mind. Gently Mitsuko opened her eyes, as her hand made contact with the smooth, yet cool, egg.
The egg trembled slightly, then the top of the egg cracked, a bright light burst forth from the egg, and floated above the egg. A silver looking mini computer. A D-Terminal, as Mitsuko was once shown. As Mitsuko grabbed the D-Terminal egg shell slowly disintegrated into nothingness. As the light slowly dimmed a white jellyfish like creature, it slowly opened its tiny black eyes taking in its surroundings. "You're pretty, poyo." it said in a soft musical voice.
Mitsuko felt as if her heart had grown bigger, as if she knew love in a different manner. A part of her life, now felt complete, as she reached down to pick up the little guy. Tears flowed from her eyes, uncontrollably. A few tears splashed down upon the baby digimon.
"Hey ... Why are you crying? Are you hurt? Poyo." The creature hopped up onto her shoulder.
"No." Mitsuko chuckled softly. "I am crying because I'm so happy. I finally found you. I'm Mitsuko, your partner." Mitsuko felt the digimon nudge against her face, trying to brush the tears away. He was soft, really soft, and warm.
"I'm Poyomon, and I'm happy too. Poyo." The small digimon chimed in. "We're going to be great partners. I know it. Poy." And with that small statement, from this tiny digimon, Mitsuko knew everything would be okay. Slowly Mitsuko put the D-terminal into her bag, and Poyomon upon her shoulder.
"Alicia. Elecmon. Thank you, both, so much. For helping me find my partner. I'll never forget this. Ever." Mitsuko leaned down and gently kissed the top of Elecmon's head. She could swear she noticed his fur get a bit darker around his face. With a small smile she gave Alicia a hug. "Thank Sol for me." Mitsuko whispered into Alicia's ear. Pulling away, Mitsuko had the biggest smile on her face.

The redhead smirked as the two destined partners finally met one another. She stayed silent as the pair conversed with one another, not wanting to break the moment the two were having. How many times could you say you lead someone to meet their destined partner? She couldn’t think of any moments beyond this day to be honest.
“Any time, Mitsuko. And know you two have always got my number. Any time, any day, come rain or shine, I’ll be there to help one way or another. Even if it winds up just being a matter of giving advice, I’ll do what I can. It helps that I’ve got an advisor hanging around who is quite frankly a lot smarter then I could ever be.” Alicia noted, still wearing that happy smirk.
She was surprised a bit that Mitsuko whispered to her to thank Sol, before chuckling. The dragon had made a fairly quick exit once the musician went forward along her path to finally meeting her partner. “Don’t worry” she whispered back. “What I can hear, he can hear, so he already knows.”
”Whee! Happy day! You both should go have a party or something to celebrate!” Kisara suddenly chipped in, as she manifested completely and unexpectedly, causing Alicia to jump in shock and then wheel around and bop the ice maiden on the head.
“Kisara! How many times have I told you to at least give me a warning before you do that!?” she shouted at the transparently visible woman. Then she recalled that Mitsuko didn’t know about Kisara yet, so she turned to the silverette. “Uh, right, Mitsuko, this is Kisara. She’s... a recent addition that was attached to one of my Spirit Totems... Turns out she and Sol are a pair and sometimes they get up to old bickering in the confines of my head. I’m sure you can imagine how frustrating and awkward that can be...”
Alicia had to note, the ice maiden liking picking worse times to pop up more often then not... truly a queen of mischief that one. Kisara was even sporting a fittingly mischievous grin. She knew exactly the kind of trouble she was causing Alicia and was not only unrepentant but apparently reveling in it

Mitsuko nodded her head in agreement, "Same here Alicia. Anytime you need me, I'll be there." Poyomon then took that moment to nudge Mitsuko's cheek "Er, I mean we'll be there. We may not be much help for battle right now, but maybe someday. Right Poyomon?"
"Mhmm!" Poyomon agreed in his soft voice, he nuzzled himself against Mitsuko's neck affectionately, causing Mitsuko to giggle once again.
Mitsuko smiled sweetly at Alicia's confirmation that Sol did hear her thanks. However, her gratitude transformed to astonishment at the sudden appearance of another Spirit. Mitsuko felt her jaw drop. "Oh wow! Congratulations Alicia. Nice to meet you Kisara!"
"Well, it looks like my job here is done Kids." Elecmon said gruffly. "Be sure to stop by and visit sometime, you'll know where to find me. I like seeing my babies grow up. Besides, for humans, you guys aren't so bad." He added with a wink at Alica, before scampering off to let the girls, and the newly hatched Poyomon to bond.
"No doubt your head feels like a radio was shoved into your head, with no way to turn it off." Mitsuko mused aloud. "Not that I'm saying it is annoying or anything, just... hard enough to deal with yourself in your head at times. I could only imagine having two others stuck in it as well." Mitsuko added with a blush, as she straightened her bag. Quickly changing the subject Mitsuko grasped for the first thing to come to mind. "So now that we found Poyomon, what do you want to do?" Mitsuko grabbed a strand of hair from Poyomon's mouth, and quickly smoothed it back into place, after giving him a gentle pat on the head.

Alicia smirked a bit. “You’ll both grow stronger in due time. Just take care of the little guy for a while, alright? Things will work out one way or another.” What more needed to be said on that front?
The she chuckled roughly for a few seconds, her smile growing strained as attention was brought to the other Spirit she now hosted. “Congrats nothing, this little witch has been a thorn in my head since day one. The less said about what she does, the better.” She was still a bit sore about the mind control kidnap thing.
”I-It was all for a good cause! Would you’ve rather done some convoluted mess for that particular totem instead?” Kisara quipped with a nervous giggle. ”I saved you some time and effort you know...”
“... I’m just going to pretend you didn’t try to justify what you did that day. Please don’t make it any harder to ignore that.” Alicia commented in a rather deadpan tone. Kisara got the hint and backed off, letting that particular topic drop for the time being. Fortunately the Elecmon being a silly little guardian brought some cheer back to the redhead, getting her to smirk again.
“Anyways... Mmm, I don’t really have too much in mind for what to do.” Alicia admitted with a shrug. Then her D-Scanner started beeping at her out of nowhere. “... I used to not have a plan for what to do recently.” Why now of all times? Mitsuko would feel so bad when she told the musician she didn’t want to get them involved in this...

"Something tells me we will be taking care of each other." Mitsuko added softly. When Alicia admitted the truth about Kisara, Mitsuko's mouth dropped open again, before breaking into a stunning grin. "No doubt it has been tough for you." Mitsuko was getting used to Alicia's brash nature, but it still surprised her. Mitsuko covered her mouth and tried not to giggle at the Spirit User and Spirit's argument.
"Well, if you don't have much in mind, I do have a light lunch packed in my..." Mitsuko felt her words fall flat at the sound of the dreaded beeping. Not that she wasn't used to it. It reminded Mitsuko of her father, always getting paged to go to the hospital. But things were different now. Mitsuko was part of this world, even if really new to it. "Look, I know I am new, and it may be dangerous, but I would really like to go with you. If you want me to go, I completely understand." Mitsuko did a quick hair flip, squared her shoulders, and blue eyes met green ones. "However, I will need to experience this world at some point. I will need to be with someone I know, and trust... and I trust you, Alicia. I may not be a fully trained tamer, but I have basics in first aid, and survival skills."
"Please, can we go with you?" Poyomon chimed in, peeking out from under a strand of Mitsuko's hair. He looked at Alicia, with big black, pleading digi-puppy eyes.

Alicia looked up to the pair before her, opening her mouth to try and shoot down any attempts to weasel their way into this mess. This was a huge jump for them and Poyomon most certainly wasn’t ready to handle any part of this mess! And yet, when Mitsuko and Poyomon beat her to the punch, she found her resolve to keep them out of this hunt cracking. Especially without the musician’s stance and set suddenly changed, firm determination replacing earlier shyness and worry.
She’d realized that Digimon could change a person’s life, but she didn’t expect getting a partner to change Mitsuko this much already! And the silverette brought up some good points. And though it wound up being unnecessary, she had already taken up the role of guarding Mitsuko today. What’s taking her on a Spirit Hunt going to hurt?
“... Alright. I can’t really argue with you on this. I’ll warn you now though, almost every time I’ve hunted for one of my Spirit Totems, I and everyone with me has been attacked by enemies. Some of which were stronger then I was capable of fighting. If things get overwhelming... Don’t be a stubborn fool like I was, run while the running is good. I’ll be able to buy time at least and get out another way. Mercurialdramon is good at having an answer to almost any problem and executing it under any kind of stress.” Alicia answered, smiling softly.
“Trust me, I’m harder to put down then I look. Big ol’ arrow to the gut only slowed me for a couple days and that’s because the fight that happened in I wasn’t at 100%” the redhead then continued in reassurance. “I suppose I can’t shake you off now, so as long as you promise me you’ll get yourself out of trouble if things get hairy, then... yeah I can’t really say no.”
Grabbing her D-Scanner, she opened up the map and scanned the layout for where she needed to go. Hopefully it wouldn’t wind up too rough...

Mitsuko beamed her 1000 watt smile at Alicia, full blast. "Alright. I..." Poyomon nudged Mitsuko's cheek with his head "I mean we ... understand." The silverette giggled at Poyomon's constant reminders that he was here. "So, as I was saying earlier, I did pack a lunch. Did you feel like eating now before we leave? Or do we need to run right away?" Mitsuko asked gently. Being new to this stuff, she didn't really understand how a Spirit Hunt worked.
Mitsuko nervously shifted her bag, as Poyomon bobbed upon Mitsuko's shoulder. "Hey. Hey. I'm hungry." Poyomon chimed in "Did you bring anything good?" Poyomon continued to bounce on Mitsuko's shoulder as she shot Alicia a pleading glance.
