And So It Begins... [Alicia and Mitsuko]

“It’s only semi-urgent. It’s better if I go for it right away, but if I need time to prepare and gather some friends, it’s alright.” Alicia admitted, taking a seat and pulling out a pair of wrapped sandwiches and taking a seat. “Thankfully, enough time in the Digital World hammers into your head to be prepared for everything you possibly can be. I wasn’t originally planning for this trip into the Digital World to be long enough to need a picnic meal but things went the way they did.”
Smiling at the Poyomon, she unwrapped one and broke a piece of it off. “It’s just some meatball, a bit of marinara sauce, and provolone cheese on wheat bread. Nothing too fancy. Try it and see if you like it, little guy?” the Steel Spirit Wielder quipped softly, tilting her head.
”You should probably call in at least a few allies. If a rampant Digimon decides Mitsuko’s an easy target...” Sol trailed off at that, staying within the confines of the redhead’s mind as he didn’t want to upset the pair Alicia was with.
Alicia just nodded in response to her spirit, sighing to herself. “It’s gonna be rough, that’s for sure.” she mused quietly, smiling. She was confident she could handle it though. Still, a partner for this would be a good idea.

Mitsuko smiled softly, as she at down beside Alicia. Poyomon hoped into her lap as she pulled out a box containing a nicely packed lunch. Three different kinds of rice balls (Sweet, savory, and spicy), sliced apples, grapes, and a bag of toasted pumpkin seeds. Mitsuko smiled as Alicia offered Poyomon some of her sandwich.
Poyomon looked at Mitsuko, as if asking permission. Mitsuko just giggled and nodded her consent. Poyomon hopped onto Alicia's hand and took a tentative bite. He chewed slowly, then his eyes lit up. "It's yummy yummy yummy!" His small voice squeaked as he bounced gently on Alicia's hand. Mitsuko googled at his behaviour. "Sorry, he probably shouldn't do that." The silverette chided softly, as she scooped up Poyomon into her lap. "Please feel free to help yourself. There's plenty." Mitsuko pointed out which rice balls were which. "There's died beef, green onion, cream cheese stuffed. Spicy siracha mayonnaise and tuna. And a sweet red bean paste." Mitsuko grabbed a handful of toasted pumpkin seeds, and chewed demurely.
Poyomon looked at her pleadingly. "You can help yourself too." Mitsuko said as she gently patted Poyomon's head. Poyomon dove head first into the pumpkin seeds, popping out of the bag with a mouthful of seeds. "Oh Poyomon!" Mitsuko said chiding him slightly, before giving into a small fit of giggles. She flipped a stand of silver hair over her shoulder, and dug Poyomon out of the bag.
"Imph remphy goud." The baby digimon said, with his mouthful of seeds.
"Poyomon... It's rude to talk with your mouth full..." Mitsuko grabbed a beef rice ball, splitting it with the small digimon. As she chewed slowly her mind began to wander. She felt complete with Poyomon with her. However she wasn't as confident in her brief bravado that she put out for Alicia. Maybe this was too dangerous... But she wasn't backing down now. Once Mitsuko made a decision she stuck by it. Mitsuko grinned over at Alicia, hoping that her brief weakness wasn't observed.

Alicia chuckled a bit as Poyomon went bouncing between the two girls sampling what they both had. She didn’t particularly mind that the little one was being a bit improper. “He’s what, ten minutes old? I think we can cut him some slack.” The scarred redhead quipped back. “Just make sure you don’t get eaten out of house and home though!” With that said she set about eating her lunch, smiling.
She wound up laughing as well as Poyomon dove in to the seeds. Unfortunately, she was mid bite when this happened, so she wound up starting to choke on her sandwich. That left the Steel Spirit Wielder flailing a bit and beating her chest to clear things up. “Aaaagh that was not part of the plan!” It certainly hadn’t looked like part of the plan!
Continuing a bit more cautiously now, Alicia grinned at the continued antics. “You know… Digimon change names a lot. Every time they evolve to a new form they get a new name. It also tends to get much longer too. Maybe you should consider getting him a nickname to go by for ease of communication?” It was just a suggestion, something she’d do if she had been a tamer. “Your’s and Poyomon’s call, of course.”

Mitsuko shot Alicia a sly grin at her quip "Hey, teach them manners when they are young." Mitsuko laughed. When Alicia started choking Mitsuko flailed around, trying to clear her lap in this brief emergency. However when Alicia beat her chest and was able to breathe again, Mitsuko couldn't help but smile and break out into a giggle. It was filled with pure joy and happiness. Her life finally felt... complete. She had her partner, and a (best?) friend. Life was truly amazing.
"Hmm. A name?" Mitsuko put down her half eaten rice ball, and picked up Poyomon. As she stared into his black eyes, she couldn't help but smile widely at him. He seemed to mimic her as well. "If you want a name, just let me know." Mitsuko told the digimon.
The small jellyfish looking digimon just smiled at Mitsuko. "I'm happy with whatever you choose... as long as I can have more of those yummy seeds!"
Mitsuko put Poyomon down, and he dove into the bag of Pumpkin Seeds once again. With a sigh, she just shook her head and turned to Alicia. "You may be right about the house and home thing..." Mitsuko said with a mock chagrin look on her face. "He doesn't seem bothered by not having a name. But if he wants one later, he is more than welcome to have one." Mitsuko picked up her rice ball and took another bite, watching to make sure the little guy didn't choke on any pumpkin seeds.

Alicia laughed softly at the reply. It was nice to help someone out like this, seeing Mitsuko and Poyomon bond like this was a real treat indeed. Even if it did result in an embarrassing moment for her. Seriously how did she manage to choke herself like that for a bit? “Well, every person has their own opinions. I just know this one tamer who gave her Kudamon a nickname to help keep things simple. He seemed quite happy with it. Then again he’s a bit of a scatter brain so he’s happy about a lot of stuff… Oh well.”
She hadn’t wanted to comment on it earlier, but she had seen the crack in the musician’s resolve. Not that she could blame Mitsuko, who could be okay with jumping into danger when their newfound partner was so young? “There’s still time to back out you know. I’m going to be calling in some help either way just to be sure.” She offered to Mitsuko now that things were a bit quieter. “Poyomon’s still so young… I’d feel terrible if something happened to you or him…”

Mitsuko mulled over the idea of giving Poyomon a name. He really didn't seem interested, all he seemed interested in, currently, was food. And lots of it. When Alicia commented on her cracked resolve, Mitsuko cast her eyes down. A small wave of silvery hair fell between Mitsuko and Alicia. Alicia had a point, it wasn't too late. Mitsuko pulled Poyomon out of the pumpkin seed bag once again, and they stared into each other's eyes for a brief moment. Poyomon split into a wide grin, as did the silverette. "No. We will be okay. I know we will." Mitsuko said firmly, as she brushed back her hair. Mitsuko turned towards Alicia she gave her a reassuring smile.
Poyomon bounced up and down upon Mitsuko's hand. "Yay yay yay! Lets go on an adventure Yay!" Poyomon hopped off of Mitsuko's hand and into Alicia's lap. He looked at her with big pleading eyes, bouncing as he had on Mitsuko's hand. "When do we leave? Where will we go?" He asked anxiously. Mitsuko shook her head and started to pack up the remains of their lunch. It looked like things were wrapping up.

Alicia took a moment to sigh softly. Then she looked at Mitsuko and her partner and smiled. “Alright… Let’s finish up here and make a quick detour back to the real world so my phone starts working again. I’m going to make a call to a friend of mine in the hopes that she can help us out. The more the merrier, right?” With that she hummed and looked at her D-Scanner, furrowing her brow. “Huh, it looks like we’re going north once we’re at full strength. That brings back memories I’d rather leave behind…’
Kisara could be heard giggling nervously from wherever she had gotten to, a small indication that she was the culprit of such a comment. Alicia looked around for the ice maiden for a bit before sighing and shaking her head. “Anyways, it’s going to be really cold where we’re going. I should drop you off back home too so you can change into heavy winter clothes. Trust me, it can get bad out there.” She’d nearly froze herself the first time she’d been up there after all, it was only a quick evolution when she found out what had happened that had helped her endure.
“I won’t question it anymore. I can tell the answer will be the same. All the same, when we go… please be careful.” She finished solemnly, turning her gaze skyward.

Mitsuko made a quick grab for Poyomon. "Hey little guy, calm down." Mitsuko chided softly, as she placed him back into her lap. "Certainly if I have learned anything, it is that this world can be dangerous. The more help we have, the better chances we have of making it a safe journey." Mitsuko mused as she held Poyomon.
"Yeah, I doubt a dress will help in cooler climates." Mitsuko said thoughtfully. She looked to the north, imaging what adventure awaited them. "I will be ready as soon as you are ready to leave." The musician was glad that Alicia had accepted her help, without any further questions. "We will be careful, won't we Poyomon... Poyomon?" The silverette turned her attention to the tiny digimon in her lap. He had a strange look upon his face. "Whats wrong?"
"I feel... strange." The baby digimon commented.
"Strange? Strange how?" Mitsuko seemed mortified. She recalled a terrible incident with a toddler that had eaten a bit too much and got way too excited. "Oh no... You aren't going to..." Before Mitsuko could finish her sentence, her teal D-3 reacted wildly with a series of beeps. Mitsuko dug it out of her bag, and inspected it. The last time it reacted anywhere close to this is when they found... Poyomon started to glow, at the same time her D-3 did.
"Poyomon digivolve to... Tokomon!"
Where the white jellyfish type digimon had been, a new creature was now in its place. It was a soft pink in color, with ribbon like ears that cascaded down its back. Its once uni-shaped body was now sporting a body... and legs! She knew that Digimon changed forms and gotten stronger with each form. Mitsuko was still surprised that it happened! "Poyomon?"
"No, I'm Tokomon now. I was Poyomon." The pink digimon clairified, giving a grin that showed off its rows of razor sharp teeth. The musician smiled, as she picked up Tokomon and held him in her arms. Giggling Mitsuko turned to the Spirit User. "I see what you mean, about the name now."

Alicia blinked in surprise as Poyomon suddenly became Tokomon. “Wow. Okay I heard that the little ones grew fast but I wasn’t expecting him to already evolve to the next stage. I wonder how much longer it’ll be until he gets to Rookie.” She really was caught off guard by that.
”I suppose we should all be on our way soon then. That Spirit Totem’s not going anywhere any time soon.” Sol noted as he showed back up, humming. “Remember Alicia, some of your totems have been the targets of… unscrupulous folks. We shouldn’t take the chance that this one is targeted any longer then we need to.”
Alicia’s eyes went wide. What with Ulysses the NiseAgumon Hakase and that MegaSeadramon not all that long ago… “I completely forgot about that… Crap!” She clenched her hand and flicked her D-Scanner around. “Ever flowing. Ever changing. My soul is Steel in its most malleable form! Beast Spirit Evolution!” With a swipe of her scanner, which trailed the mercurial metal that made up her beast fragment’s body, she was encased and transformed into her currently strongest form at this time. “Mercurialdramon!”
Crouching down again, she glanced at Mitsuko and Tokomon. “Whenever you two are ready.” She told them, smiling.

"I agree. I didn't think it would be that rapid." Mitsuko mused as another idea came to her. "Well, he did eat quite a lot, and I once heard that time moves differently here than it does in the Real World. Maybe he was stocked up on energy and it allowed him to Digivolve?" Mitsuko was looking at Tokomon, hoping for reassurance.
"Hey, don't ask me. It just happened." the small pink digimon replied. Just then Sol appeared, it was strange to see the spirits that surrounded Alicia, but he did have a point. They needed to go. In a flash Alicia was on her feet, and the sound of metal clanging filled the air, as Mercurialdramon appeared once again. "Hey, do you do that too?" Tokomon asked Mitsuko, as she placed him gently into her bag.
"No, but you will someday." Mitsuko assured her partner. "With a lot of practice, patience, and training, we can do anything." Mitsuko secured her bag again, this time the bag was in front of her body. She mounted upon Alicia, making sure Tokomon was secured between Alicia and Mitsuko. "Ready when you are!" Mitsuko called back. Mitsuko knew something else was up, but she decided to ask about it later. Now they needed to go. Mitsuko felt adrenaline coursing her system. It was time to fly, again!

Alicia shrugged at that. “Digimon are weird, that’s all I’m filing that under.” She answered as she shifted the mass of her body into a better flying configuration for her and her passengers. “Here we go!” Alicia declared, beating her wings and taking off once more. The liquid dragon picked up speed, treating Elecmon to a sight of their little group soaring overhead, off to their adventure. After preparations were made, after all. “It’s going to be a hell of a day, huh…?” Alicia mused to herself.
”It could be indeed. We’ll have to wait and see how it all turns out.” Sol commented softly before fading back into Alicia’s mind. The Mercurialdramon shook her head and sighed, beating her wings harder to pick up her speed. She just hoped it wasn’t a mistake bringing Mitsuko and Tokomon into this, since this time she was going for one of her Beast Spirits. Ultimate level in power, where Tokomon was not even a rookie yet…
((OOC: I think we can end this one here))
