"if you ever got tired of us, let me know, I'll change the comedy routine to other sort of comedy," Koharu joked. "But give me time to learn it first."
"Seriously, as if you can step away from Manzai," Kon-chan deadpanned yet again. For her it's completely impossible, but Koharu decided to jump at this point.
"Married couple comedy? Ah, but you're natural at Manzai, so let's keep it at Manzai~"
"WHOSE FAULT WAS IT THAT I GOT NATURAL!?"
Koharu laughed at it and then... her smile frozen stiff at the question of how good her cooking is. Her smile widened into a challenging smirk. She rose an eyebrow like asking him "Well let's found out or are you a chicken?". She irregardless feed him rice and some sort of fish. It felt like salmon. Quite the spending there, but it's seem that she doesn't care much. The taste of the salmon coupled with a bit of shouyu was definitely something that can pass as good cooking.
"I might not be as good as Ryou, but I CAN cook, meanie." she poked his rib with the said chopstick.

Thinking about it somewhat lazily, Yuu concluded that the manzai shenanigans of Haru and Kon were probably good enough for a lifetime. Funnily enough, it seemed so natural to them that it was hard to think everything they did was... mostly improvisations. Thinking about it, one could probably say that it was scripted or something.
Back onto Kyo's cabin, the brunette's smile couldn't but grow bigger at his girlfriend's reaction. She definitely had some competitive spirit when she put her mind onto it; he definitely had a liking to that. ["A chicken? Just bring it on, Haru. I can probably stomach whatever you can throw my way. Well... I think."]
Her food was good; nah, scratch that. It was pretty excellent. Yuu's expression told right away that he liked what he was eating. ["You know, for somebody that enjoys teasing both her boyfriend and digimon partner so much, you surely aren't that resistant to being teased yourself, don't you? That gives me some fun ideas for the future..."] The mental image of a flustered Haru was pretty entertaining, to say the least. ["When did you cook this, by the way? And why we went to a restaurant when you had prepared food already, by the way?"]

"Well that was damn rude," Koharu said, chuckling. "Should I toss Karin's cooking on your way? I'm sure she's more than happy to have a guinea pig for her cooking experimentation. Last time I swore it made a Raremon ran in fear of what she cooked."
"T'was a sight," Kon-chan commented. "You'd thought that Numemon or Raremon would love 'em, but they're actually far deadlier than anything they have ever seen before."
Koharu just chuckled to Yuu's accusation, once again poking him with the chopsticks. "You silly fool. Even if I got teased, I'll tease you back over and over again. Why am I cooking this? Well, I figured out that our date gonna stretch to at least until the night so I thought why not... and about the restaurant, it's just my excuse to wring you out of your money. Now open up~" this time she put in a karaage laced with teriyaki sauce on his mouth. Because it's double fried, it gave a crunchy feeling. "Jokes aside about wringing money, I'm actually only prepared a meal for one, and that's for you... So treat this as a special meal, O-k-a-y~?"

This was Outrageous. O-U-T-R-A-G-E-O-U-S; well, not really but playing along Haru's game was fun. ["Rude, you say? How's that even rude? I think it's you who's being rude, you know? Poor, desolate Karin tries her best to cook something edible, and then big mean Haru and Kon come with their mean words and bash all her hard work with their rudeness and bad manners. Alas, poor cooking."] Of course, right now he was laughing pretty much without control by now. Fighting fire with fire right there.
In all honesty, Haru's threat wasn't really threatening. It's not like he minded being teased or anything of the like. In all honesty, Haru's teasings weren't really hard to bear. Well, at least for him; Kon had the habit of looking pretty flustered every time she was being poked at. The small history of how that bento came to be, however, made him chuckle. Huh, so a surprise on her stead? How nice. ["Gotta milk them moneys, huh? I can get behind that line of thinking"] He signed, grinning. ["Who'd say I'd live up to the day my lovely girlfriend prepared food exclusively for me. I think I can die happy now."]
Of course, like all the good things in life, they had to end. They had to end right when Kyo descended from the sky, in an apparently deserted isle. ["Seems like we are there now. Wanna finish or...?"]

"You know she'll 100% slap you for that comment instead me for my comment," Koharu shot back, laughing. "Especially since you're not being sincere with that scolding seeing how you're laughing your ass like never before. Imagining the scene is really that funny huh? Well, luckily the girl herself takes it with stride. She also laughed at the sight of the Raremon running away from her cooking."
Koharu just laughed when Yuu said he could die happy. "Silly guy, you'll still need to live for eighty more years so I can milk you more," of course this is just a joke "and cook for you, and take care of you, and overall just be your wife," and this one is not. "Now let's finish this bento and after that let's go on with your plan. What sort of place are we going to anyway? Don't tell me we need to fight in this island before we rest and make it ours? Because that sounds like one of non-cliche date number 1."

Who could blame Yuu for doing those kinds of comments? At the very least, he could say that they were fun to hear; Karin getting her revenge on him if she ever found out wasn't something that overly concerned him, anyway. Being on the receiving end of her antics could be even fun at times. ["You say that as if Karin slapping anybody was a rare occurrence or something of the like. I've actually entertained the thought she needs to hit others on a daily basis just like breathing or eating in order to stay alive. But that's me."]
The fact the her cooking was so proverbially bad that even stuff made out of sewer sludge ran away from it was amusing at the very least, even if Yuu himself didn't mind it too much. Maybe that Raremon was just a wuss, but the anecdote on itself was still pretty fun. ["Maybe I could teach that guy a lesson or two enjoying the good things in life."] The fact that he was snickering at his own remarks was probably too obvious to note. ["What'll happen if my money runs out before those eighty or so years have passed? Will you stop to love me and to take care of me and to cook for me and to overall be my wife? Because that'd make me sad. Like, super super sad."]
Regarding their small... date. Well, Yuu didn't know if they had to fight, given that the island was supposedly deserted, but if Haru wanted to do so that badly... ["Well, if you want to fight your way through the wilderness and to tame an uncharted land, I'm up to it. What do you say, Kon?"]

"The thing is, if she slaps people then it's rare. If she want to do something, she won't slap. Slap is for the queen type like Aria," Koharu commented, chuckling, imagining her dear little sister wearing queen-like clothes. "Karin kicks instead. Also, she don't do it everyday, don't be so mean to her. Meanwhile she need to at least pet a cat everyday in order to at least feels in good mood..."
"You two are horrible," Kon-chan deadpanned. "Also, I think eating that cooking is totally opposite from enjoying life. It's more like you want your life to forfeit."
"Now who's the rude one?" Koharu shot back, grinning ear to ear. "Anyway, let's see.. I'll probably at that point no longer interested in money, or still interested in money, but prefer more life challenging stuff instead, so I'll pull you to those sort of activity. I'm lately into semi-extreme sports, you see. I'm starting to learn some surfing!"
"She's quite natural," Kon-chan vouched. "First time seeing her surf, she managed to do it."
"Failed on the third try, though! It can't be helped, I'm still new!"
Still, the challenge actually... Fired the dragon up.
"...Hou, you're challenging me? Very well, Tsumura Yuu. Tell me what should we do then? And what sort of bet are we having here?"

Haru sounded a bit like those... how are they called? The people in those documentaries that could spend a lot of time describing a specific species behavior. It was funny and a bit weird at the same time. ["I think you could probably film them on their natural habitat and sell the video to Animal Planet. It's bound to make yourself some money at the very least."] He signed between snickers, that small laughter becoming stronger as soon as Kon decided to mention they were mean, just to add right after that it was literal suicide to even taste Karin's cooking. ["One would say that the apple doesn't fall that far from the tree, doesn't it? Guess that whoever made you two partners had a pretty interesting sense of humor, to say the least."]
His girlfriend finding fun stuff to do was something that always made him happy. Even if... extreme sports weren't really his cup of tea. Oh well, as long as she had fun, he was fine with it. Regarding Kon, however... maybe she misinterpreted him? Probably.
["A bet?"] He didn't remember mentioning anything bout it, but if the digimon looked at it like that, who was him to say no to it. ["A bet on what, though? I was just asking if you were up to it, given that... well, you know. Being a digimon means you'd do the brunt of the work."]

"Now that's just outright mean, Yuu! Animal Planet is not for anthropology! They're for zoology! Geez... and I'm pretty sure that nobody there would ever pay me for Karinus felinis on action. I think reality shows that shows quite violent impression of bobcat would definitely pays me though."
"You're both horrible, really horrible," Kon-chan deadpanned hard. "Likewise, young mister Tsumura, I'd say whoever that pairs you two as boyfriend and girlfriend must have particularly sadistic sense of humor and had a lot of laugh considering just how much you two badmouthed your friends and sister--future sister-in-law in your case. Then again at this point I'm wondering who have the worse cooking, Mana or Karin."
"...Is her cooking that bad?" Koharu asked, slightly bewildered by that new information.
"...I think yes."
Then Yuu seem to be confused, which the SWAT dragon quickly straighten out. "No, you didn't mention it, yes. However, to be fair, I think a competition should have a goal and present in mind. Even if you don't treat it as a competition, I felt like doing one somehow, see... just to make it more interesting."

Oh man, this was getting funnier and funnier by the minute. Now even Karin had a scientific name! That was totally amazing; at this point, Yuu couldn't resist his laughter even if he tried. Not like he was trying too actively though. This was too fun. ["Oh man. Haru, you're terrible! It feels too bad to be laughing this hard about something that's so mean."]
Still, he had to admit that Kon-chan had a point, as vague as that point was. ["Well, if you remember correctly, I'd say that we were paired by... a gigantic, mutant Groundramon? I'm not really sure about it, but I'd risk saying that the guy didn't have that much of a sense of humor... unless you've asked him bout it, maybe? I didn't know you were that bold, Konnie."]
The Commandramon had unveiled an important matter, however. Whose cooking could rouse the dead from their eternal slumber and make them heed their commands the better? Karin's or Mana's...? ["Maybe we could make them compete or something. I'm sure that Mana would seize any opportunity she had to spend time with Karin. Beats me why, but Mana really admires her."]
Still going on with a bet, huh? Well, he could partake on that for sure. ["Well then. Since it's your idea, what do you propose? I'm curious about it."]
