Moving from southern tropics to Terminus in the best possible train, the Grand Locomon. Ryouta got a business in Terminus that basically equates to restocking and delivering stuff to the citizen. From the Gran Locomon, once again Ryouta is sorting package and letters that need to be delivered... man, ain't there a lot. Luckily Ilbert and Ryu is helping him while...
"...Oi, Yuu, won't you at least help or something for this ride I'm giving you?" he asked his cousin half unamusedly, looking up from bags upon bags of mail that neatly arranged... one would probably ask if this is Ryouta that they know, but this is the truth. It's so neat and Ryouta's not even asked to make it this neat!
"Now now, young master," Ilbert tries to pacify him. "Young Lady Yuu--or should I call you young sir? She is a guest. It's rather unbecoming for us to ask her for help on what we could do by ourselves. You just need to be patient because it's soon will be--"
The butler's voice trailed off when suddenly a huge sound of explosion could be heard, making Ryouta groan loudly in pain.
"Apologies. Let me activate an even stronger soundproof. Does this feels better, Young master?"
"It is but damn! The hell is that?"
"From the look of it, it looked like some human military, sir."
"...Human? Military?"

One wouldn't expect a place as placid as the Network Plains to be marked as a spot to avoid, but it had been nothing but trouble for Isaac and Elliot. It was there that their infamous kidnapping at the hands of a Tankmon had occurred, and where they were stuck fused in a single body for far longer than they were comfortable. Also, it was so boring! Just dirt. And grass. And dirty grass. Even the Northern Prominence was higher on their priority list than the Network Plains, which spoke volumes about how little they wanted to go there. What possibly could have changed that?
Well, a metric crapton of explosions. The brothers had simply wanted to make their way toward Terminus, but they couldn't shake the sounds of battle from their ears. As they looked to the skies they noticed missiles and lasers launching into the sky, flying in every direction imaginable. The sky practically seemed to flash from all of the firepower being emptied into it, and it was equal cause for curiosity and concern.
"We really shouldn't go over there," Elliot muttered, as he watched the distant battle unfold.
"Yeah. We really shouldn't." Isaac's reply was brief and to the point, and yet the two brothers both looked at each other to see if they knew what the other was thinking.
They were totally going over there.
The run was longer than they imagined, especially since the two had elected not to go into Digimon form yet. A bigger energy signal meant a bigger chance of being detected, and if this turned out to be a horrible situation to intervene in both of their asses would be on the line. Keeping small and only going as big as they needed to was the preferred strategy of the brothers, and if push came to shove they could just fluff themselves up to a higher level later. That meant they'd have to run as fast as their legs would carry them, and that by the time they were in visual range of the fight it would have heated up massively.
The bros stared in shock and awe as a walking tank hunkered down in front of a MetalTyrannomon, the two blasting at each other relentlessly. The brothers couldn't make out the presence of any other humans, although there seemed to be trucks in the distance observing the fight. How the heck did those get there? There also seemed to be a train in the distance, but the brothers paid it no mind. There were always trains. What was important here was the fact that-
"Metal Gear," Elliot whispered to his brother, doing his best to gravel up his voice in a terrible Snake impersonation.
Isaac tried to avoid snickering. It was hard. "No. We're not doing this," he whispered under his breath, between escaping snickers.
"So what do we do?"
"Watch and wait. See if we can tell who the aggressor is. Something tells me once we find it, we're gonna need to push out all the power we can get to take it on."
The two nodded at each other, slipping down into a little makeshift foxhole and watching the action. Sometimes, the severe battle scars of the plains could come in handy!

Post by Colin, Luke & Bellamy on Nov 6, 2016 4:14:14 GMT
The first time Colin had taken the Trailmon out of Terminal City and moved across the Network Plains, he had been astonished by the destruction. Scorched earth, craters, distortions in data. What the heck had happened here?
Since that first journey on the Trailmon, he had since returned for a closer look. Partially for curiosity, but mainly because Colin and his partners had heard of the restoration effort in this area. It all seemed like a neat idea for a job of some kind. And Colin liked the idea that they could help out with the project and get paid for it. Especially if it meant getting a little more money than he was used to.
Indeed, Colin kind of liked it more in the digital world than he did on Earth. For one thing, he had much more personal freedom. Another, he had some of the responsibilities of an adult - to both be the breadwinner for his mischievous partners, and walk around with a more full wallet.
And so here Colin was, walking across the silent, barren plains with his twin partners at his sides. Bellamy the Impmon scowled around at the wreckage, while Luke the Elecmon seemed to be reading a brochure. Both were still wearing the tropical shirts they had made Colin purchase from Whitewater city, and Bellamy didn't appreciate how dirty it was here.
"Hm. According to this, the plains are like they were because of something stupid happening by a dirty cheater" Luke said, squinting. "Huh. Oh well. Hmm. Do you spot any work crews we can join up with yet, Colin?" he asked the taller human.
"Not as such" Colin said, not seeing another individual since they had got off at the rail platform. Then all of a sudden, there was an earth-shattering rumble in the distance. Loud explosions could be heard, as well as gunfire and roaring.
"Luke! Colin! get down!" Bellamy snapped, pushing his partner and brother to the ground from reflex. Both looked quite surprised and were a little annoyed at being pushed down, but they realized Bellamy had done so out of care for them.
The three looked in the direction where the explosions were coming from. And in the distance, they saw something Colin did not expect. It looked like... some sort of human military force were fighting a digimon. A big one too, at least Perfect or Mega level.
"Damn, I wish we had binoculars" Bellamy muttered, irritably. Seeing that they seemed to be safe for the time being, the Impmon stood back up in a crouching position. Colin and Luke did the same.
"Hey, there's a little hill over there" Luke said, pointing up at an elevated point on the plains. "Let's watch from there"
Colin agreed, mainly out of curiosity. It didn't seem like the distant danger was approaching, plus he wanted to see the whole thing so that he could tell the story elsewhere. And so Colin, Luke and Bellamy moved up toward the hill, watching the battle slightly behind the crest. As they observed further, a second giant digimon appeared on the battlefield and fought the first one directly. Colin was too far away for his digivice to scan them, so he merely watched and waited. They were almost a kilometre away, hopefully that was far enough.

Yuu, who was sitting in one of the many of Ilbert's seats, writing in a notebook with one hand and firmly holding a beer can in the other, taking the occasional sip every now and then, but fully concentrated on what she did just as Kyo slept on the seat over her. Apparently, all their travelings had taken their toll on her?
And she had to drop the can to sign to Ryo. Man, surely he was a bother, especially since she was doing him a favor! Oh well.
["Give me five seconds and I'll be with you."] There, ready! She stood up and , after tearing that page out of her notebook, she handed it to her cousin. ["Here you are. I asked Ilbert for all the mail deliveries you had to do for the full month and made an schedule with the most efficient routes you gotta take to reach that in the shortest amount of time. You can thank me later, but you can stop being such a pain in the ass right now, thankyouverymuch."]
Grabbing the can again, but now with her good hand, she took another sip before adding.
["I don't know if he can recognize signs while we're inside this place, but female pronouns, please. Otherwise it'd get too awkward around people."]
Just as she finished to sign those words, the explosion was heard. She knew that Ryo didn't appreciate loud sounds, but her curiosity took the best of her and she approached the window rapidly, trying to see what was happening outside and to confirm the GranLocomon's words. Humans, in this place? Well, this was a new one! For now, however, the best they could do was...
["We're going to wait and see what happens."] She wasn't asking for opinions about this, even though she could make an educated guess about Ryo agreeing with her. ["We still don't know who are the good, who are the bad, and who are the ugly. After that, I guess that we do damage control and we get to work. By the way, can you ask Ilbert to stir Kyo awake? I usually wake her up with a loud whistle, but I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate such a gesture right now."]

The two combatants continued to circle eachother, their frontal armour absorbing the heavy weapon impacts, getting more and more scraped and dinged up with every shot, neither side gaining the upper hand.
"Switch AI control to manual, bypass safety limits, load APDS."
The mech gave a loud clunking sound, its movements turning more fluid and natural as its guns switched ammunition types and fired into the beast, one of the rounds punching clean through its armoured hide leaving a trail of fire in its wake as the tungsten round tumbled, smacking into the dirt with a big dust cloud after tearing through.
"Confirmed weapon penetration! Reload reload!"
The Metaltyrannomon bellowed in pain, the creature now realising that its opponent could certainly damage it changed its tactics, moving in to headbutt the tank, dealing a surprising amount of damage in return, the heavy chobham 2 hull denting and cracking considerably.
"Armour integrity at 67%, launch missiles!"
Missile doors in the Punisher's shoulders open up with a solid clunk and whirr, revealing its loadout of six anti tank missiles, which quickly begin locking on target!

Ryouta rolled his eyes in exasperation. "I just asked once, geesh... thanks still." Ilbert in his stead gratefully took the piece of paper. "Why, such a detailed transport. Thank you very much, kind lady. This will certainly help us in the long term. By the way, it's alright to sign. I understand your words clearly. I've took some liberties and put many language in my database just in case."
Although, back to that scene of fight, Ryouta only can watch with some sort of worry in his eyes. Ryu goes with Ilbert to gently stir Kyo from her sleep.
"Kyo-chan, Kyo-chan, wake up! We might need to find something out there!" Ryu tried to coax her out of it.
"...hey hey, do we need to help or something?" Ryouta muttered, eyes still locked toward the battle. Even if the Metal Tyranomon is damaged, something made him think that it's not going to be smooth at all. Ilbert, acting like a professional butler he is gently leaned himself toward the two. "Excuse me sir, but it's seem there's more pressing matter down there... I've seen other human... I'll bring them to the monitor."
With a snap of his finger, several holographic screens appeared on the air, showing the other people that might be involved, with the approximation of their distance.
"...Colin, huh."
"Eh? Colin's there? Oh, a kilometer away, huh..."
"Yep. Ryu, just in case, get ready to retaliate and evolve to Super Ultimate. If any stray missile goes there..."
"Un!"
Rapidly, Ryu's visage changed into Slayerdramon. Even then, Ilbert's compartment is still big enough to fit him.
"Just in case, young master, the compartment is ready to open anytime at your order, sir."
"Good enough."

For the most part, the bros kept their eyes locked to the battle. It was fast, furious, and intense, a constant back-and-forth where each side was giving as good as they had gotten. However, that seemed to change when the MetalTyrannomon surged forward in a furious headbutt, bending and breaking the hull of the newcomers. The brothers could barely hear voices over the shattering of metal. Were these humans? What were they doing here, and why were they so heavily armed? It could have been a Digimon, but the way they referred to it . . .
There was definitely something strange at work here.
Even stranger was the appearance of another person over the horizon. Their figures on the hilltop were unmistakable, a human with two Digimon. Little Digimon, too. Either he was keeping his energy exposure to a minimum, like the bros were, or this was the best he had access to. Either way, seeing so many humans in an active warzone like this was a big point of worry. What if they got hurt in the crossfire? Or, worse, what if after the MetalTyrannomon finished it went after the nearest available prey? They weren't specifically familiar with this Digimon, but judging by the vehicle it was wrestling with it had to have at least been strong enough to squash those Rookies with ease.
And what of the humans that seemed to be directing the strange, non-Digimon vehicle? If this went wrong for them, it had the potential to end really badly. This seemed to be their toughest piece of gear, and if it took a bad enough beating their trucks would be defenseless. Elliot shot his brother a worried look, and Isaac returned it. They clasped hands, holding their Digivices in the other hands, and let a swirling mass of light and darkness overtake them.
Emerging from the foxhole, the twisted-up Dualdramon rose. It turned to the trucks, trying to think on its feet. What would convince the trucks that they came in peace while simultaneously being subtle enough to avoid distracting the fighters? They'd need to think of something human, something quiet, and something really fast. Thankfully, inspiration managed to hit just in time.
Dualdramon grinned, holding a clawed arm up and flashing the peace sign. The V for Victory. Whatever the name they preferred, it was an unmistakably human gesture, or at least one that would hopefully convince the explorers that they weren't hostile.

As Colin and his digimon watched from behind the crest of the mountain, Colin was beginning to feel a little scared. He was trembling as the digimon in the distance launched attack after attack at each other. It seemed the walking tank was quickly gaining the advantage. The missile explosions in the distance shook Colin's whole system.
He was so transfixed by the battle that he was slightly startled when he felt something touch his arm. He looked and saw it was only Bellamy, his green eyes watching him with an expression of anxiety.
"...Are you okay, Colin?" he asked, gently. At his other side, he felt Luke pat his back.
"Y-yeah..." Colin said, realizing his trembling must have made his partners concerned. "Sorry, just... is this what a digimon battle's like?"
"Yeah... this is a damn big one though, I don't blame ya for feeling nervous" Luke said. Colin was rather touched by how much the brothers seemed to care about him.
And then, all of a sudden, a third digimon seemingly joined in. This one looked like two serpent-like dragons twisted around the other. It didn't seem to attack just yet, but merely made some sort of gesture.
"Huh, looks like this party's gettin' interesting" Bellamy said, watching with interest.
Luke meanwhile saw another object nearby - it looked like a Trailmon, only much bigger. Was that... yes, it was a GranLocomon. "Yeah, it sure is" Luke agreed.
"Do you think it's safe for us to stay here?" Colin asked his partners, wanting some sort of reassurance as to whether or not it was the right decision to stay here and watch this battle and not running away as fast as possible.
"Well, if you really wanna head back, we can do that" Bellamy said. Colin thought about it, but, it was his curiosity that got the better of him. In the end, he chose to stay. Perhaps if he knew the full story, he could give a more accurate account of what was going on here back to those in Terminal City.

At Ryu's prodding, Kyo began to stir awake little by little.
"Alright, alright. I'll wake up. What's happening?" She opened her eyes slowly, jumping off her seat to observe what was happening. "Well, that's interesting. Robot guy against a MetalTyrannomon? That's bound to be fun. Guess nobody's been nailed as the good or bad guys yet, right? Then we should just make sure that they don't catch anyone in their fight. Well, at least no one that doesn't deserve to be caught."
Like Colin and his partners over there. They were still kinda far away, however. No immediate danger for either of them, at least for now. And, in all fairness, none that couldn't be avoided as long as they reacted accordingly.
Yuu probably thought the very same thing, especially when Ryo commanded Ryu to be ready to evolve... all the way towards his most advanced form. Huh, talk about exaggerating.
["Man, those guys are perfect level at most. I'm pretty sure that even Ilbert would be able to handle them, you know. Anyhow; if anything fishy happens, I wanna be ready for it, but... aren't you being too flashy? Let's just pick Colin up so he can see the show while inside a safe place and let's remain as we are. Anything too sudden happening may make this situation worse, if anything."]
She gave Kyo a significant look and she nodded. As enticing as entering the scene guns blazing was, it wasn't probably the smartest thing to do. Waiting was probably the most intelligent thing to do right now.

"Incoming! Entity is... flipping us off? Wait no..."
This certainly was a distraction, however, with the machine already locked onto its designated target, it continued to engage. This was unfortunate for the MetalTyrannomon, which shot a quick glance the newcomers way, revealing the side of its head for just a mere moment, which was all the time the tank needed as it opened up with an incredibly brutal showing of raw heavy firepower!
First the railgun shots, APDS still loaded, tore through the creatures skull, clean through and out the other side leaving large flashes of data in their wake as they created massive exit wounds the rounds spewing fire as the high energy projectiles tore their way through. The tank wasn't finished though, it stepped back, the MetalTyrannomon already starting to collapse and evaporate into data, half of its head blown clean off, and fired three of its six shoulder mounted heavy anti tank missiles into the cyborg dinosaur's torso, each one tearing into the creature, the first ripping its arm clean off, the severed appendage spinning off, trailing fire and data, the second blasting a massive chunk out of its torso, exposing mechanics ruined and torn to shreds by the sheer explosive force, spraying its mangled robotic equivilant to guts all over the war torn plains as the third and final missile hit home, hitting the cyborg's missile ammunition storage, the creature violently popping and fizzling, flames shooting high into the air as it finally faded completely into data.
The tank seemed completely unfazed by this, not to say the exploration team weren't just staring in open mouthed awe at this level of firepower, but the tank quickly reloaded and readied its weapons, railguns pointing at the unknown tamers, who would also be reading missile locks if they had equipment to detect that, before it let out in a loud booming, but certainly synthetic voice...
"THREAT NEUTRALISED. UNIDENTIFIED UNITS. PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELVES IMMEDIATELY OR YOU WILL BE FIRED UPON."
"Crap! Shut off weapons targetting! Stand down!"

....Ryouta's eyes widened, then filled with rage the moment he saw what happened. Data. It doesn't become Digitama and dies there horribly. Is it really needed? Well, he seriously think it's not. Granted, it's just dessert for that thing to attacked out of the blue, but... well, to go this far... They'll need to TALK. He turned to Yuu and locked his eyes to hers.
"...Look, Yuu, I don't care what you will say, but I don't like where this goes, so I'm going there with my highest form. Threatening everyone like this... They think I'll come out peacefully? Well, guess what, I won't! Ilbert, rescue the rest. Yuu, you're coming with me for legal matters. You're the Marshall here, and I'm sure as f**k you got the authority to retaliate. Now... Ilbert, you go rescue to onlooker. I'm going to play the bad police!"
Ilbert quickly opened the hatch. The wind whistling to Ryouta's ear made him a bit annoyed, but regardless...
"UNISON! SHINKA!!"
Blast of pure energy accompanied the fusion of human and Digimon who soon dropped to the ground below with wings spread open, landing lightly. The armatization Digimon stayed there while the train started moving to rescue the onlooker like Colin. Without even sparing any sort of further action, he unsheathed his katana and in very fast iai move to send out sonic blade like projectile, aimed at the rocket launchers in such wide arc. Hit or not, that's fine. He then slammed his katana sheath to the ground, creating deafening explosion sound that literally say "I won't tolerate any bullshits". The assassin garbed human-digimon fusion glared at the humans now.
"...Ladies and gentleman... whatever it is, stop your oversized machine before I destroy it on my next attack. I don't know if there's someone there, but I sure as fuck doesn't like what happened if it's not stopping. God know how expensive it is, so I'll just do bare minimum damage I can do for now. That's right, BARE MINIMUM. Retaliate more than this and I'm forced to destroy it. Honestly, while I admit your action was justified, it crossed the line Digital World wise. Not only you defeated it, you just go ahead and deleted it to pure data. That's against the law of Digital World. Further threat will be treated as sign of aggression. More violence won't be tolerated anymore and I WILL, I repeat, I WILL act in such ugly manner if you decide to retaliate against me."

The brothers' hearts soared slightly as their presence caught the MetalTyrannomon's attention. Things would be okay now. In this critical moment of distraction the humans would be able to escape, and then nobody else would have to get hurt. They watched with bated breath to see what would happen next in the fight, wondering just what would happen next.
What they saw quickly horrified them. A solid round hit right into the MetalTyrannomon's head, damn near splitting it in half. A gruesome way to end a fight, but such was how things in the Digital World sometimes turned out. If only it stopped there. Instead the human machine just kept on firing, refusing to stop its relentless assault on the MetalTyrannomon. Limbs were broken, then outright removed. Circuitry was sent flying in every direction. Data started to spread out, not even pooling into clouds but instead shaving off bit-by-bit. Maybe it was the strangeness of its weapons, or maybe it was just a testament to the pure overkill being enacted on an already-dying Digimon, but not even a Digitama formed where MetalTyrannomon once stood. It was so bad that Dualdramon covered its own eyes, Isaac trying to spare his brother the sight even when they were stuck in amalgamate form.
The hybrid dragon shuddered, but pulled its hand away from its faces as the mecha made its demand. Even as Dualdramon stared down the barrel of the gun its blood boiled, Elliot's idealism and Isaac's rashness swirling in a nexus of pure stubbornness. The amalgamate swallowed down its fear, one head focusing its gaze on the trucks and the other on their machine. "You want me to identify myself?" it asked. "How about you identify yourself first, you bag of bolts? Who the hell do you think you are? You think you can just come into this world, drop a superweapon down, reduce someone to smithereens, and then expect us to answer for ourselves? I mean, hell, fight if you need to. That's what we all do when push comes to shove. But there's fighting back, and then there's whatever the hell that was.
So lets make this clear. Who are y-"
Dualdramon's last question was cut off by a sudden rush of power. Its heads snapped in the direction Ryouta would soon come from, his ascension to Super Mega so intense it sent shivers down its spine. The dragon's bravado melted away, and it practically sighed in relief when it saw the newcomer was on their side rather than planning on attacking them. That said, the force of its attack was still harsh enough that Dualdramon ducked out of the way, as if afraid of getting caught in the crossfire.
Yeah, at this point they'd let the really, really strong guy do the talking for them.

Bellamy and Luke's eyes widened as the horror in front of them transpired. Those weapons... the destruction. It was like nothing they had ever seen before. Not even an egg could be seen afterward.
That MetalTyranomon... he had no chance of another life. Seeing a soul destroyed like that. To the two brothers, this was almost a big a sin as absorbing data. Whatever that walking tank was, it was... evil.
Colin meanwhile had no idea what was happening other than the fight to the death. He didn't know what was normal or what was overkill. Only he gave a small yelp of horror as the missiles tore through one of the digimon, leaving little but smoldering pieces on the ruined plains.
"...we have to go" Luke said eventually. "Now."
"Agreed" Bellamy said, the Impmon sounding scared as well. So serious was the situation that Colin was about to stand, but Bellamy pressed him down to the ground.
"Don't get up, just... back off slowly, until they can't see us" he said. Colin nodded, just as an almighty booming voice ordered them to identify themselves. An electric sensation tingled on the back of his neck. What was this? Was... that thing getting a lock on him?
What could he do? He was too far away to answer. If he walked toward them, would it open fire? If not on him, but his digimon partners? If he ran, would it fire a missile?
Colin was too terrified to come to a decision, when, all of a sudden, a burst of light shone from the GranLocomon. He and his partners watched and saw an impressive figure emerge from it.
"Holy crap, that's Ryu!!" Luke exclaimed. Colin looked closely and saw the familiar figure. So Ryouta and Ryu were here... and they confronted the giant mecha with a loud, commanding voice. And the first thing he did was slash at the mecha's warhead launchers.
Such power from so far away... Colin realized that Ryouta was not kidding when he said that a Super Ultimate class digimon could shatter mountains.
"Should we... take cover now?" the boy asked his partners unsurely. There was no answer, both the Impmon and Elecmon brothers were watching the scene, transfixed. Colin continued to observe.

Welp. Crap got real all too fast. Yuu stared directly into the battle scene as the MetalTyrannomon wasn't only defeated, but soundly... killed for good. No Digitama or anything similar. Just... deader than a doorknob.
["Welp. S*** just got serious, Ryo; forget what I said earlier."]
Kyo watched the scene too, her eyes widening in horror at the events unfolding. Not even the most horrible of deletions had been like this; not even her very own. This was just a whole new level of disgusting. And the fact that it had just threatened them, Colin, and the strange dragon at the distance just worsened this up to an extreme.
The blonde didn't care if these were newcomers or if they didn't know the rules of the game. The MetalTyrannomon maybe had that coming for him, but they were just bystanders and this thing already seemed to act like it owned this area or something.
"Yuu, we're—."
The Plotmon's words were interrupted by Ryouta crashing down into the battlefield and already doing some work on the thing. While his methods were way more direct than hers, that was... fine for her. She didn't need to deal more damage to prove a point, but still... more lives lost wouldn't really make this situation any better.
["Going down? Of course we are. Ready?"]
"Just give the order. I was born ready."
Staring into Ilbert's opened door, Yuu stared at her digivice unceremoniously, just as the gizmo began glowing with an intense purple light as both human and digimon's bodies unraveled and merged.
[MATRIX EVOLUTION]
BeelStarrmon fell down the GranLocomon, neatly landing right into the ground beneath of him. The demoness then gazed straight to the location the robot currently was, no hostile intent besides a solemn gaze on her eyes.
"That was just a warning shot. It is against the common law of the Digital World to threaten their law enforcement officials in any way, ladies and gentlemen." Her stern voice was carried through the field even though it didn't sound particularly loud. "I demand an immediate end of any and all hostile intentions right now. Just as my partner said, we've had more than enough casualties today and it was just proven that we're more than able to defend ourselves. We don't wish for another fight to ensue if possible, but we won't hesitate to retaliate with full force if you still prove to be hostile."
At least she had proven that they were able to be reasoned with, unlike that Tyrannomon. Whether they wanted to keep on with the fight or not, that was now their decision.

CLANG!
It was a glancing hit at best, the vehicle seemed to automatically angle its armour against the incoming threat, however. The attack seemed to fairly comprehensively destroy the launcher, however, it didn't do as much damage as one might expect. Whatever that tank was armoured with, it was -damn- tough. And of course, detecting a weapon hit and damage, the vehicle instantly targeted the attacker, its remaining weapons armed and ready.
"HOSTILE DETECTED. ELIMINATING TARGET."
Luckily, it seemed like HQ had finally managed to switch it back to a passive mode, because instead of opening up with a barrage of railgun rounds and missiles, it instead moved its aim off, and began idly scanning for threats, the upper torso twisting in a robotic almost tank turret like way.
"GUARD MODE ENGAGED, SCANNING FOR THREATS."
"We are a NanoWerx Industries exploration team on assignment to survey this unexplored area. We also do not want to start another fight, but as you saw back there with the termination of that particular threat, we are also more than capable of defending ourselves. Now, just who the bloody hell are you, and what are you doing here? Access to the digital world requires millions of pounds worth of equipment, and needed an entire research team in order to research a stable transfer link, let alone the quantum supercomputers required to discover it in the first place. What organisation do you represent, and how the hell did you get here?"
The person talking had a British accent, and as an even bigger clue to this "NanoWerx Industries" nationality, the vehicles themselves had a Union Jack flag printed on the bodywork. Also on closer inspection, the Punisher MK1 also had a Union Jack flag on one shoulder, and the hexagonal NanoWerx Industries logo on the other, along with the tagline "Making the future less predictable."
