It seems there's plenty for the group to do. After going on rides and playing games at the amusement park and finding Dante's, ugh, "friend"... Takashi, they found Anthony's egg, and have finally reached Puppetmon's home. But now they had to worry about the missing eggs. Like the others, Dante isn't sure what to expect inside the mansion. Puppetmon obviously has some connection to Piedmon, otherwise Takashi wouldn't have been sent to him for protection. Wormmon starts to groan in pain. "OrARraWoah, Dante my stomach hurts! I think I'm gonna b- ... Quick get me over to those bushes." "You're sick now? Oh great, come on."
Dante carries Wormmon over to the bushes. They are far enough from the group that they can't hear them. Anthony sits down on the grass and leans back, using his hands to support him. "Actually, I'm not feeling too well either. It's like I'm being drained of energy. Getting my partner back was important, and I know I need to bring my A game today, but I can't help but feel... exhausted."
Dante waits while Wormmon throws up in the bushes. "Feeling any better?" "Bleh, a little bit. But Dante, I need to talk to you about something." "What is it, little buddy?" "It's about Takashi, and Piedmon. You know how we went to the desert to find Cassius, and the Sultan of Nubar was holding him prisoner? Why did Piedmon send our friends to different Digimon?" "I'm not certain. Wizardmon said it was like some sort of test for me. To prepare us for battling Piedmon some day. But that was so long ago, and we are much stronger than before." "Are you sure that's the reason?" "I think that's a big part of it. But knowing Piedmon, there's something else he's been meticulously planning this entire time. Come on, let's get back to the group."
Dante carries Wormmon back over. "Hey guys! I'm feeling better now. Let's continue towards the butt kicking! If Puppetmon gives us any trouble, Kyo and I will send him to the next dimension." Anthony yawns and stands up. He wipes off the lenses of his glasses with his sleeve. "Back already? Alright, I'm good to go." The gang walks up the cold stone steps leading to the front door. Upon reaching the top, the doors slowly open up. Inside the mansion is dirty and disgusting. Cobwebs everywhere, old worn down furniture, the walls are gritty and covered with claw marks. Anthony starts coughing because of the dust. "Ah-ha-hoohoo! This place is creepy! Was there a fire?" Takashi acts like there's nothing out of the ordinary.

Why suddenly everyone began to feel sick? Well, speaking of weird! Wormy's case was especially strange, given that digimon stomachs were a lot more resilient that human. What could have possibly upset it? Uhmm...
Still, both Yuu and Kyo waited patiently for him and Dante to be finished with their business, just as they both sat on the grass after Anthony's lead. "That's... a bit weird. Why you guys suddenly feel bad? This ain't too normal..."
Still, it wasn't like they could find the reason behind it; as far as they knew, they hadn't eaten anything since they had arrived here. Oh, and Dante and Wormy were back. "Welp, seems like it's time to go! You ready guys! This will probably get interesting!" Pumping a paw up at Wormy's words telling that they'd wreck anything that dared to stand in their way, the gang went forward, this was going to be good!
Or as boring as it could be. An abandoned house, really? So much for an adventure... "This place sucks. Why would anybody live here? Like, not even a Myotismon would set foot in such a dirty place. I think that even the dust is gathering dust..."
What a big disappointment...

Yes, the gang's adventure has lead them to a creepy old abandoned mansion. I guess that's another box to check on the list of cliché places Dante has been on his adventures. Still, to actually be standing in the mansion, there is a strange feeling. Like an icicle slowly creeping up Dante's spine. The gang explores around the mansion, with nothing but the sound of candles flickering. Suddenly the silence is broken by the sound of a piano. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0V3Rn1xrb4Dante hears the music playing, and looks around to find the source. "Someone's playing a piano? Great, as if this wasn't creepy enough." "Don't get nervous, Dante. We've been taking care of business for over a year now, no matter who's trying to cause trouble." The gang slowly walks closer to the source of the music. They enter a dimly lit ballroom. In the center of the room they see a young woman with red pigtails wearing a black dress playing the piano. Dante can't see her face, but he instantly recognizes the girl. "Misty... This isn't good, Wormmon." *Whispering* "Misty? What's she doing here?" The group walks a little closer to the girl. She continues to play, seemingly without noticing the group. Finally she hits an off key, and stops playing. The woman stands up and turns around, with a big smile on her face. "Dante! What are you guys doing here?!" Misty runs up and gives Dante a big hug. Dante doesn't hug her back, sticking his arms back and trying to shake her off. Finally she lets go. "I'm so delighted to see you again. It's been so long since we've had company." "Believe me, the feeling's not mutual." "Ya. Every time we run into you, something terrible ends up happening. You're just so evil, rotten to the core!" Misty pouts. "Hmph! That's no way to treat an old friend. Aren't you going to introduce me to your friends?" "Ah yes. This is Yuu and her partner Kyo. And this is Anthony." Misty does a polite bow. "Charmed to meet you." "Oh, and the short pint over there is Takashi." "Yes, I already know Takashi. What are you doing pestering my Dante, you little slimeball?" "Put a cork in it, you cow-faced tramp." "Why you!" Misty tries to charge over to Takashi, but Dante holds her back. "Let me go! I'm gonna make his puberty very boring." "Believe me, there's nothing I want more than to drop kick him off a bridge, but right now we've got important business." "Ah yes, you're always so, serious, Dante. Driven, always something on your mind. Tell me, why have you come to Puppetmon's mansion?"
Dante goes to speak, but Takashi cuts him off. "I brought them here to meet Puppetmon. We're gonna play some games." Misty's expression goes from furious to joyful. "Oh, that is exciting. You're going to love Puppetmon's games." "Right... Actually we are here to find whoever has been stealing eggs from the nursery." "Well then you've found her! We've been taking eggs and raising the Digimon to serve us without question." "Ah ha! So you admit it. You better return the eggs and let those Digimon go before things start to get serious." "Oh, but I want things to get serious. Not just serious, but intense, heart pounding, exciting, exhilarating, ...and maybe even frisky." Misty runs her fingers down Dante's jacket, but he brushes her hand away. Anthony just stands there confused. "First we meet a little brat, and now, her... Do you have any other strange friends Dante?" "Well, most of our friends are rather strange." "Let me bring you guys up to speed. Misty is a very not nice person. Very evil! When we first met her, she was nice and friendly, and very ditzy at times, but it turns out she's one of Piedmon's minions! She even tried to lure all the children in the city with her singing to Piedmon so he could turn them into evil demon Digimon!" "Is this true?..." "Ah ha ha, guilty! That was some of my best work. But I am no minion, no Wormmon, I am Piedmon's second in command. And one day, I'll be first lady of the entire Digital World!"
Anthony takes a few steps back. His heartbeat quickens, and his arms start to shiver. "This is all too weird! Thanks for helping me find my egg, you guys, but I think I'm gonna go home now. Good luck getting the digi eggs back!" Anthony starts running towards the exit. Misty lets out a sigh and takes out a D-tector. "Execute, Spirt Evolution!" Misty spirit evolves into Cambramon, a humanoid Digimon with long black and white hair. She is wearing a black and white ringmaster/magician leotard getup with a matching top hat. Cambramon floats down into the floor. Anthony runs up to the mansion doors and tries to pull them open, but they do not budge. Cambramon appears up from the floor behind Anthony. "Ah HAA haha ha haaaa!" Cambramon grabs Anthony and drags him down into the floor, reappearing next to the group. "Going so soon? But the show is just about to start..."

As the group went by, the sensation that something wasn't quite right began to creep up onto both Kyo and Yuu. They had dealt with similar sensations before, and that probably meant that trouble was brewing. A couple of seconds before the piano began to play, the duo exchanged a knowing look; the two knew for sure that they had better be ready in case something sprang up.
While initially soft, the melody being played became progressively ominous, pretty much confirming that feeling rather handily. Least to say, Yuu began to sign, Kyo translating those right away. "This almost seems out from some game, but at least seems that our host, while not one of those clean types, surely likes to build up atmospheres for their guests. Wonder if they are as eloquent with their words as they are with the piano." Even if Dante seemed to have his doubts about this endeavor, the Plotmon gave him a reassuring smile right away. "Yup, don't worry about it! If anything happens, I'm sure Wormy and I can take care of it right away!"
What they found in that small room, however, at least managed to surprise both Yuu and Kyo. Their mysterious host was... a single person? Oh well, that explained why they had preferred to just play a piano piece instead of cleaning up; it was totally impossible for just one person to get rid of all the dust that flooded this place. Least the say, the woman in front of them looked... interesting, for the lack of a better word. And that wouldn't prevent Kyo from leaping right into the front of the group, anyway. "Heeellooooo~, miss! That piece was quite good!" Pity that it ended abruptly. Misty, huh? That was an interesting name.
The small conversation that ensued between the Dante and her surely felt... a little weird, but from what the duo caught, Misty seemed to be an evil, yet quirky person that seemed to like Dante for some reason. Waving back at her greeting they wondered what she was exactly up to, even if not lowering their guards. Appearances could be deceiving, after all. A question that prevailed for some time in their minds was "how bad could she be if she was at odds with Takashi?" however. Maybe it was just about all her redeeming qualities, something which would probably amount on... almost not bad.
Still, the implications of this strange partnership between the woman and Puppetmon were mostly unsettling, that feeling magnifying the more she spoke. Seemingly, she had been the responsible for stealing the eggs from the Village of Beginnings, and seemed to be totally okay with admitting it out loud and without any qualms whatsoever... and in a really creepy way to Dante, while at it. Yuu felt kinda bad for her peer; must've been hard having a nutjob swooning at you like that.
Anthony raised a valid question; until now, Dante's acquaintances had proven to be quite... quirky, but that was probably beside the point. Right now, they had more pressing issues at hand, like for example, being in front of a crazy woman with not-so-good intentions and that didn't have qualms at admitting those. Either too cocky or too crazy; qualities that definitely made her dangerous. And Anthony growing terrified of this only seemed to make her grow bold. At least she had revealed her nature as a spirit user, making them not having to worry about dealing with a potentially hidden partner. Puppetmon or other mons could be lurking anywhere near, but that would only make this fight all the fairer.
Well, time to act then! Looking directly at Misty's evolved form, Yuu had no qualms on pointing her D-Arc towards her in hopes of maybe knowing more about the digimon she had evolved into; name, level or attribute would work, in all honesty. And with her other hand, she began to sign to Kyo, who quickly, and in a tone tinged with a seriousness not displayed before, began to address her. "Misty, while the wilderness of the Digital World is devoid of any behavioral laws, your claims about stealing unborn digimon constitute a heinous crime according to the decree of Common Rights each digital being has. Surrender peacefully and no further consequences shall befall on your person. If you resist being arrested, the only thing you'll get will be your charges aggravated for resisting the law."
As Kyo gave that speech, as soon as Yuu got the info about their new potential foe, she flashed the badge indicating she had the authority of a law officer. Knowing how these engagements went, she'd probably not repent and a fight would surely break out, but giving her a last chance to surrender peacefully was what the good guys did. And hey, she had to justify using potentially lethal force to her superiors somehow if things ever came to that.

What was otherwise a mostly pleasant trip to the Digital World had taken a turn for the worse. It was quite clear that the gang was dealing with an unusual foe in Misty. She showed no shame or guilt when talking about abducting the digi eggs, but her sociopathic nature was offset by her happy-go-lucky, cheery behavior. Was it all an act to lure her victims into a false sense of security? Cambramon tightens her grip around Anthony's throat, and slowly brushes his hair with her other hand. "Looks like it's time to play some of my games..."
Cambramon lets go of Anthony and twirls him to the side, almost as if they are ballroom dancing. A large magic box appears out of thin air, and Anthony is tossed right in. The door shuts once he's inside. Anthony bangs on the door. "Hey! What do you think you are doing?!" "Ah, it's always the nervous, slightly neurotic guys that are the most fun to play with. Maybe that's why I enjoy your presence so much, Dante." "Why is it the only girls interested in me are crazy?" Wormmon takes up a fighting stance. "This ends today, you crazy vixen! Let's fight!" Takashi just stands off to the side, eating some popcorn he was saving in his pocket.
Yuu's D-arc provides more information about Cambramon. She's only at the Spirit Evolution stage, which would be equivalent to that of a Champion, but her power resembles that of an Ultimate. However, she's been gifted with some of Piedmon's energy, and due to her bag of magic tricks, Cambramon is quite the opponent. Yuu passes a note to Kyo about arresting this manic magician. "Oh, go right ahead. Slap some handcuffs on me and drag me out of here. Let's get freaky." Dante raises his eyebrows in a state of shock. "You really are delirious." Anthony opens up the top part of the door so he can see the fight. "Words can't even describe how creepy she is!"
"Maybe so. Come now, I've been looking forward to playing with you, Dante and Wormmon. And now we have Yuu and Kyo to shake things up. Catch me if you can, but once I've defeated and humiliated you, I'm going to chain you to the wall in my room Dante, so you can never leave me again..." Dante has had enough with Misty's incredibly creepy advances. He charges towards her and goes to grab her arm, but Cambramon quickly jumps back a few feet. "Naw ah ah! You'll never be fast enough. You won't even land one hit!" Cambramon pulls out a deck of cards from her coat pocket and throws them at Dante, slicing up his jacket and jeans. "Argh!" Several cuts appear on Dante's arms and legs.
Wormmon can't stand seeing his partner abused by this psychopath. "Taste my sticky justice! Sticky Net!" Wormmon shoots a large web at Cambramon. "Eww, gross! Get this stuff off of me!" "Now's our chance to land some big damage. Let's kick it up!" Dante grabs his digivice and aims it at Wormmon. "Go for it, Wormmon." The self proclaimed Worm King forms a cocoon out of thread, and bursts out of it as Stingmon. Cambramon starts to panic. The sticky net slowly starts breaking apart. Stingmon cocks his arm like a shotgun and charges his energy cannon. "We're going to make you disappear, for good!"
((Feel free to take control of Cambramon during the battle. We can have a back and forth fight. Cambramon has a lot of tricks up her sleeve, basically anything from a magic act that could be incorporated into a battle. I've gotten complaints about god modding during her last battle, so at least this way that won't be a problem. With her speed and her vast arsenal of abilities, it won't be an easy fight. Thanks!))

If that's what you want, fine by me! I apologize in advance for any mistakes I might do regarding Misty's personality and quirks, since I'm not too familiar with the character just yet. Lest to say, I'll try my best.
Regarding the fight itself, if you have any particular details on how do you want the fight to play out or anything that's off limits, feel free to tell me. The situation had taken a turn for the worse, that much was assured. Anthony seemed to currently be a hostage, and that meant the group would have to measure the force employed to assure his safety; complicated, not to say that Kyo just wanted to blow this clown off existence as quickly as possible.
Alas, that seemed like it wouldn't be the case; they were fighting against somebody who was batshit crazy, that accomplishing only on making her all the more dangerous. Who knew what tricks she could have under her sleeves.
["Seems like... she's a total nutjob. And a Human spirit, even if she definitely seems to be stronger than that. Guess we'll have to play safe."]
Kyo was about to answer to those signs when she heard those comments that seemed totally out of place. Just... what? "No offense, Dante, but I think this chick seriously needs a boyfriend. Have you ever considered introducing her to any of your worst enemies, just to see if they click? Maybe your could even kill two birds with one bullet or something." Enough was enough, however. The blonde gripped her digivice soon enough, triggering her partner's evolution. A faint, violet glow enveloped the Plotmon's features as it changed rapidly into... a rather tall woman wearing a pig suit. Cho-Hakkaimon was on the scene now.
Yuu had figured that shooting everywhere would probably not do too well to the structural identity of the house, so she had concluded that this form was the most apt to restrain Cambramon.
Deciding to seize the moment and their enemy's newly found restraints, she went straight towards the place Anthony was at the moment, and tried to smash open his prison... without trying to hurt him, of course.
They didn't know what was so fun about it, but the initial look of panic on Cambramon's features began to distort into a predatory grin. Maybe she'd be able to break free before the energy cannon is fully charged, or... maybe she had other surprises in store for them? She couldn't tell.
But that wasn't overly important at the moment, all. They had to ensure Anthony wasn't in the clutch of that evil harpy. Everything else was secondary at the moment.

The battle's just getting started, and the stakes are high. Kyo and Wormy have digivolved to Cho-Hakkaimon and Stingmon respectively, and they are dead set on bringing this delusional clown ringmaster down. Stingmon continues charging up his energy cannon, fueled by the desire to obliterate Cambramon. The light green glow pulsing from his cannon starts to shine brighter. Dante notices how amped up Stingmon is getting. Sure, Wormmon's personality might be a little less than serious, but when he digivolves to Stingmon, he becomes driven by combat. Constantly striving to become stronger. However, Stingmon has never gone this far before. Yuu rushes over and tries to get Anthony out of the magic box. She tries hard to bust it open, but the door stays on. Anthony pushes on the door, and even tries to climb out the top part, but there's not enough room to climb out. Cambramon flails around in the sticky net. She looks over at Yuu and Anthony. "Hey! What do you think you're doing? Leave my hostage alone." Cambramon hears Stingmon's energy cannon getting ready to fire and looks back at Stingmon. "Bang bang, baby!" Stingmon raises his arm and fires a massive moon cannon blast. The energy blast hits Cambramon dead on, sending her flying back and falling to the ground. Cambramon slowly rises to her feet. She wipes some blood from her mouth with her wrist. Her ringmaster getup has been badly burned. "Rrrr you stupid bug brain! Look what you did to my beautiful attire!" "Stay on guard, Stingmon. Remember what she did at the tournament." Stingmon crouches down and shifts his weight to his back leg, then jets off like a sprinter. He flies straight towards Cambramon and lands a quick punch. Cambramon recovers quickly and rotates to the side. She lands a fast kick to Stingmon, knocking him back. "Wow. She's quicker than I remember, you guys."
Stingmon goes for a few more strikes, but Cambramon is nimble enough to dodge. She quickly teleports behind Stingmon. Cambramon puts her hand next to Stingmon's head. "What's behind your ear?" "I don't have ears, I have antennas." "Wow, it's a bomb!" Cambramon conjures up a small black powder bomb. She quickly teleports to another part of the ballroom. The bomb goes off right next to Stingmon, dealing moderate damage. Stingmon's antenna catches fire. "Ahh hot hot hot hot!" "Well then let me cool you off." Cambramon leans towards Stingmon and adjusts a flower on her coat. At first it just squirts a little bit of water, but then a full blown blast like a fire hose comes out, hitting Stingmon right in the face. Stingmon tries to regain composure, rubbing the water out of his eyes and wiping off his face. Cambramon turns her attention to Kyo. At first she goes with a few quick melee attacks, staying light on her feet and jumping around. Kyo manages to land a big counter attack, knocking her back. Cambramon quickly teleports to the side and fires off another one of her magic card tricks, dealing light damage to Kyo. She then turns her attention to Dante. She appears next to him in the blink of an eye. "Don't worry, there's plenty of fun to go around!"
Cambramon drops down two smoke bombs. When the dust settles, Dante is laying down in a magic box, And Cambramon is hovering over him with a saw. "And now time for a classic! Sawing a person in half!" Cambramon starts sawing away vigorously. Dante squirms around panicking. "Ahh, let me out of here!" Stingmon charges his energy cannon up. Cambramon notices and stops sawing. She takes off her top hat and points the bottom of it towards Stingmon. "This time I'll finish you for good!" Stingmon fires another energy blast. However, the hat absorbs the attack. "Better luck next time! Let's see what else is in my hat."
Cambramon reaches into her hat and pulls out a little white bunny. "Aww, it's so cute." Suddenly the bunny starts to mutate, changing into a giant ferocious wererabbit. It runs around the ballroom, eyes blood red and acid dripping from its mouth. "What is that thing?!" The rabbit dashes towards Stingmon, trying to bite him. Cambramon notices Kyo coming over to her and Dante. She teleports over to Yuu and takes a pinwheel out of her hat. "Wow, it sure is windy. Don't let it blow you away now!" Cambramon spins the pinwheel. It creates a large gust of wind, blowing Yuu back and throwing her to the ground. Anthony continues banging on the magic box door, but its ends up tipping over, the door facing down. The wererabbit bites Stingmon's arm, the acid dealing high damage and poisoning Stingmon. Dante's still trapped in the box. Cambramon levitates up towards the ceiling. She hovers in midair with her arms stretched out. "Ah, there's nothing like a good show! Come on, don't tell me I'm too fast for you." Stingmon lands a big kick to the wererabbit. He crouches down and grabs his arm. "Argh, this poison... Dante, this doesn't look good. She keeps moving all over the place in a blink of an eye!" "Come on, we need to think of something fast. I had no idea she is so good at multitasking. Especially for such a ditz!" Cambramon scowls at Dante. "Ditz, eh... well you're the one who's really stupid!" Cambramon snaps her fingers, and a dunce cap appears on Dante's head. "Ah haa ha ha haha haaa!" *Sigh*--------------------- Don't worry about messing up I'm fine with whatever works for this battle. I figured we'd go back and forth with Cambramon, with her tricks immobilizing us at different points. I added a wererabbit to mix it up. You can use and abuse it however. An add on to kill off. Just as long as we're having fun I'm happy. As far as her character, basically that of a showman, an overzealous magician, part hammy supervillain. Delights in causing pain. Like I said, we can just exchange blows and utilize her vast movepool to create an interesting, wacky battle. Let me know if you want me to change anything up.

The action had started with... mixed results. On the good side, Stingmon had landed a pretty decent and solid hit on their current enemy. And on the other... Kyo had failed to bust open the box where Anthony currently was.
Meanwhile, Cambramon and Stingmon began to face off. It seemed to be a pretty even fight. At least initially; as their combat went on, it seemed that the show master was getting the upper hand. The sheer amount of tricks she had under her sleeve was... amazing, in all honesty. Both Yuu and Kyo had a hard to time to keep up, and that wasn't when taking into account all the new surprises. The wererabbits, Dante becoming trapped and Stingmon getting hurt. Maybe they'd need more artillery? For now, it was time to see how tough Cambramon was.
Kyo jumped high into the air, holding her rocket rake, trying to strike twice at her; the first blow was meant to distract her from the second, and if it did connect, Cambramon would be immobilized for a fair amount of time. Probably enough to end this madness once and for all.
Or not. What did they know. For now, Yuu tried to find her footing after being knocked down by Cambramon's gust of air. That girl was good, she had to admit. For how much could she hold, though?

The two sides waged on back and forth. Stingmon has always been lightning fast, but Cambramon's agility and nimble fighting style was giving him a run for his money. The wererabbit charges towards Stingmon and leaps up, knocking him out of the air. The wererabbit builds up speed and heads right for Stingmon again, but Stingmon is ready this time. He charges up his energy cannon and fires a massive blast of energy directly at the wererabbit. The blast incinerates the foul beast, and they revert back to a cute little bunny rabbit hopping around nonchalantly. "One down..."
With Cambramon's bunny assistant out of the way, the gang is able to direct all their attention back to the top hat sporting trickster. Kyo launches an attack at her, but Cambramon is able to dodge. However, this was just a distraction. Kyo lands another blow, immobilizing Cambramon in place. She wipes some blood off her arm from a battle wound, and struggles to stay on her feet. "Huh, huh, I'm not through with you yet!" Cambramon launches more decks of cards, but Kyo and Stingmon are easily able to dodge.
The toll of the battle wears on the strange spirit user. Her magic begins to fade. The magic boxes containing Anthony and Dante start fading away. Cambramon starts to panic. She's never taken this much damage in a fight before. Dante gets up and dusts off his jacket. "I guess there's not going to be an encore, for your last performance." Stingmon flies around the ballroom. He swoops down behind Cambramon and grabs her top hat. "Dante, catch!" Stingmon throws the hat through the air to Dante. "No! Give me my hat back this instance! Oh, you're ruining my show!" Cambramon turns around to slap Stingmon in the face, but he grabs her wrist.
"There's no denying you're an entertaining performer, but you've caused too much death and destruction! Taste my justice!" Stingmon transfers his energy into his energy spike and pierces Cambramon through the chest. Cambramon's eyes turn jet black, as her blood drips down Stingmon's spike sticking out her back. Stingmon pulls the spike out, and Cambramon falls to the ground. Her spirit evolution fades, and she reverts back to Misty. "Ah, ha, arrrahahaaargh! I can't believe it..." Misty's d-tector rolls out on the ground. Dante walks over, and with a quick stomp, smashes Misty's d-tector to pieces. "There... Now no one will ever suffer at your hands again."
Anthony struggles to get up. He checks his digi egg to make sure it didn't crack in the battle. Fortunately it is unharmed. Anthony walks over to Misty. "Is she going to be alright?" "I don't know. Stingmon got her pretty good. Are you guys alright?" Dante looks at Anthony and Yuu. Anthony nods his head. "Ya. Just a few minor bruises. Beats getting sawed in two." Misty continues gasping for air. "You bastards... Dante, ah, I can't believe you... would do this to me!" "Save it. You sealed your fate when you cut a deal with Piedmon. I suggest you save what strength you have left."
Takashi, who had been enjoying the battle from the sidelines, comes walking forward. "Don't worry. She was in her spirit evolution form when Stingmon stabbed her, so she will recover now if we can get her some care." "Wow. When did Takashi become such an expert?" Dante leans in to examine the wound. "No don't touch me!" Misty brushes Dante back. "Fine. We will let her suffer. Come on, we've still got business to deal with." The entire ballroom fills with silence, only the sound of Misty struggling to survive.
All of a sudden the silence is broken by enthusiastic applause. "Oh my, that was exciting! Ah ha haha ha haaa!" "What? Who's there?!" Dante looks around startled. Up on the balcony sits Puppetmon. "Hey Puppetmon! Boy that battle was awesome! It was all, bew bew! Weshaw! Oww!" Anthony gives Takashi a weird look. "You mean you actually enjoyed watching us fight for our lives against this psycho?!" "Oh be quiet! How can a show be entertaining if there isn't a little danger?"

I'm super sorry for the delay. I've been through stuff and... well, what I can say. I have no excuse. I've also apologize for the probably poor quality of this post. I'm rusty. Yuu had to admit that this battle, if anything, was way closer than what she'd have liked it to be.
Still, she felt like they had never relinquished the upper hand thus far. Wormy had managed to dispatch one of their foes, and that left one remaining. Pressing their assault, they're able to hurt Cambramon some more, but the fact that she probably had one or more tricks remaining under her sleeves was obvious.
Or not, maybe? Seemingly, Stingmon and Dante made a pretty good team at beating the competition, finally beating Cambramon and crushing Misty's digivice. "Oh well, work's done, it seems." Kyo said, devolving back to Plotmon and walking back to where the group was. "That was a fun fight! We should do it again. No hostages next time, though. That was foul."
Yuu sighed, gathering her bearing as she looked at the previous battlefield, then turning back at Dante to respond him. "Yeah, I'm fine." Kyo was quick to interpret her signs, but before she could add anything else... Puppetmon appeared. A somewhat villanous entrance, if she had to describe it.
"So, mister puppet. Shall we get down to business? I think we have some pending matters to attend."

No worries Life has a lot of priorities. I know I wasn't posting often earlier this year. Glad to see you back! ----------------------------------- Indeed, this battle had been more than a little too close for comfort. Cambramon had her tricks, but in the end her shenanigans were not enough. But just when things were looking up, Puppetmon crashed their party in his own house, and he wasn't even invited. Dante steps forward to confront Puppetmon with the others. "So what's your game, ya wooden freak? Stealing digi eggs? Why are you messing with Takashi's head? He's got enough problems going on up there without you corrupting him." "Hey!"
Puppetmon snickers. "Oh Dante, yes, I've heard about this one. Of course I stole those digi eggs! They were just laying around in the field, anyone could have taken them. And you're just mad because Takashi's my friend, and he thinks I'm super awesome!" "I don't know how anyone could be awesome with a wood block for brains." "Rrrr, you're a big bully! I'm not gonna give up the eggs and I'm not going to let Takashi leave." "You better be nice to Puppetmon! He's way stronger than Stingmon."Puppetmon notices the egg in Anthony's hands. "Oooh, what are you doing with that egg, boy? Give it here, now!" Puppetmon reaches over trying to grab the egg from Anthony. "Hey, knock it off!" Dante goes to help Anthony, but Takashi stands in his way with him arms stretched out. "Damn it, Takashi! What's gotten into you?" Stingmon flies over to stop Puppetmon, but he hears him coming and turns around, bashing him with his hammer. Stingmon goes flying back and falls to the ground. "Argh, you can't just swat me off like I'm some fly! I'll stop you Puppetmon..."Right after a fearsome battle, and now they have to deal with a Mega level? With Stingmon down for now, only Yuu and Kyo can help Anthony. Misty remains laying on the ground. If they can't give her some care, she will suffer from her wounds.

This was more or less expected, but the villain confirming he was one of the bad guys was the final nail in the coffin. Whatever Puppetmon was trying to do with the eggs, both Kyo and Yuu knew was up to no good.
Dante's questions were met with mockery, and even if his supposed underling just laid there, injured... Puppetmon just seemed to not care. As heartless as they came, really.
So, what to do with a hopeless villain that didn't seem to be repentant of his ways in the slightest, and that was actually being aggravated by his current gestures. The blonde sighed, getting ready to what would eventually evolve into a fight; it didn't take a genius to know that. ["Hope you're ready, Kyo."]
She nodded, just before raising her voice to speak to Takashi. "Hope you're conscious of what you're doing. Stopping a friend who wants to help another to not have his partner stolen? That's... falling really low, Takashi." Of course, as she said those words, Yuu's digivice was already glowing with a pale, purple light. It was time for a power up.
Kyo's visage swiftly changed into her Astamon form. Promptly positioning herself, a barrage of automatic fire soon began to race towards Puppetmon. With any luck, that'd give Dante enough time to take care of Takashi and to Anthony to find cover. Again.

It was bad enough with a self serving Mega around, but right after a battle with the trickiest of magicians? Takashi thinks about Kyo's words. Here he is, helping Puppetmon steal an egg. Not just any egg in the field, but right here out of another Tamer's hands. While a regular person would be feeling pretty shameful right now, something doesn't quite fire right in Takashi's head. It's like he doesn't understand that what he is doing is completely wrong. Just the fact that Takashi could pay attention to what's going on for more than 5 minutes is a sign of improvement.
Kyo digivolves into the powerful Astamon, and fires off a barrage of bullets at the pinewood puppet. The attack is enough to deal damage and distract the Mega, but not enough to deal moderate damage. "No, Puppetmon! Leave him alone." "Takashi, can't you realize that what you are doing is wrong?! You need to start acting mature." "It's never wrong to help your friends." "It is when they are stealing unborn Digimon!" Takashi gets mad, and goes to take a swing at Dante, but the aggregated Tamer puts his hand on Takashi's head and holds him back while the little brat throws punches at the air. Anyone with a significantly older brother would be familiar with this tactic.
Stingmon struggles to rise, his energy low and his body bruised. "Damn it... I can't let Puppetmon get away with this! Argh, this is your fault, Misty. How come you always seem to be on the mean side?" "Ahhhaaaah, ...you stabbed me..." Dante has enough of Takashi getting in the way. One of the reasons they came here was to "rescue" Takashi, and the snot nosed punk wasn't making this easy. With one swift kick, Dante blasts Takashi right in the side of his ribs, dropping him to the ground. "Owwwww!! Cut it out!" With Takashi out of the way, Dante rushes over to Anthony, and the two attempt to flee from the deranged puppet.
"Where do you think you're going?!" Puppetmon chases after the Tamers. He gets within range of Dante, and hits him with a rather, unusual attack. "Take this, Dante! Wuhuhahaha! Puppet Pacifier!" Puppetmon swings his hammer at Dante, hitting him with an energy attack and sending him flying across the floor. "Dante!" A bit shaken up, but otherwise Dante feels normal. That is, until the room starts to get larger, and larger. Anthony looks over at Dante to see if he's alright. Puppetmon's attack de-ages Dante, all the way down to a baby, or what some might refer to as a toddler. "Uh, Dante? What the hell did you do to him?!" "Ah ha ha haaa, watch your language around the baby!" "Ahh, you mean Dante is a baby now? What?!" Baby Dante starts to cry.
To better sum things up, Misty, Stingmon, and Takashi are all injured for the time being and on the ground. Anthony is further away from Puppetmon, and his egg is safe for now. Dante is... a baby. Leaving Yuu and the now Astamon Kyo to deal with the pathetic puppet.

As if things could get any weirder, Takashi was currently refusing to act like any decent human would, Dante had been turned into a... baby and the kid had gotten what was due to him in the form of a kick right into the ribs. It didn't take a genius to know that Puppetmon was more or less their business now, and that everyone else was either ineffective for the time being.
Yuu sighed and steeled herself for the fight that would come next. Truth to be told, she hadn't expected for stuff like this to happen, but it still didn't make it any less interesting. After gazing at Puppetmon, not a single word was needed. Kyo knew she had permission to go wild, and she'd do so... gladly.
While her first attack didn't seem to have affected the puppet all that much, that had been mostly a warning shot and an attempt to not to injure anybody else who was currently tangled with him, but now that that wasn't the case anymore, so... she began to unload the full payout of her weapon.
Maybe it would still not be enough, but at the very least it would serve for her to gauge how tough this guy was.
