Ah, a new day! A lot of opportunities around, and lots of things to do, and lots of fun to have had! She had admit that waking up in the small house she had in Whitewater felt... nice, in all honesty.
Even if she supposedly was an officer in this new team her big, uh... sister? had, she still held little, if no obligations at all. Kinda disappointing, but the fact remained that no matter the gender Yuu became, she was as overprotective as always.
Still, she had to admit that getting used to that changed proved to be... a little difficult. Like, changing the pronouns from male to female and that stuff, even if Yuu still was the same older sibling than always. Well, not really; she had changed too. Mana noted that now, she was a lot more confident than before, and that made her happy. The old Yuu she knew wouldn't have risen to direct all her friends into a single, goal, even if right now, she had been kinda forced into that position by Koharu.
Those, and many more thoughts swirled through her head as she went outside, then froze. Like, literally they froze. A shiver went through her spine as the cold wind blew through her body, it was... snowing?
"Welp." No other words came out of the girl's mouth as she closed the doors again and went back to her room. Her pajamas wouldn't offer any kind of protection against the temperature, and she definitely didn't want to catch a cold. Wonder if she had any winter clothes in here...

Of course Ryouta was really waiting the time to get to whitewater again. He wanted to have one long day, free from all this job and honestly... well, honestly he just want some time to be with his girlfriend. It's like polar opposite. She got no real responsibility, he got a lot, as a courier, as an assassin... well, organization wise, he just held some meager of power, though... most of it often ends in Koharu or Yuu's decision. Well, that aside... No one should be against him going to meet Mana, right? Even Koharu would tighten her rein on Yuu if she starts to be overprotective.
"Disculpe maestro... is there is anyone who turned on the AC to this freezing level suddenly?" Rosa asked, peeking out from the kitchen. "It's suddenly getting really cold. I thought we're going to tropics, you know?"
Only then Illum noticed the coldness, then Ryu and finally Ryouta himself.
"Rosa, can you check whether Grandpa Will is fine? I think this kind of cold would make him bothered."
"Si, maestro."
She quickly turned around and ran toward the furthest end of the compartment, where the poor Jyureimon must be waiting for the situation to be fixed somehow. The poor Jyureimon isn't used to sudden change of temperature. Luckily, to their relief, Ilbert quickly changed the temperature of the compartment. It's quite warm now, but...
"Illum, can you please take my coat out? I need to fetch Mana somehow."
The Wizarmon bowed. After about five minutes, the train stopped right in front of her house, with Ryouta coming out quickly.
"Mana! Are you OK? C'mon in to the train!"

The snow kept falling down, relentlessly but at least in a gentle way. The door remained unanswered, for a good while, but... there was a reason for that. As any girl that respected herself, Mana wasn't going to come out so soon. Especially when it came to winter wear; more clothes naturally meant more time.
So, instead, a rather small girl with shortish, white hair eventually answered the door. She looked like a deer caught in the headlights, but that was a normal expression on her face. At least Ryouta would more or less be used to the newest member of Mana's team's distinct attitude. Miyako was... just like that, no matter how comfortable she felt around anybody.
"U-um..." Her voice trembled, making obvious that she was really nervous, but finally managed to respond. "R-Ryouta-san, Mana-san s-says that she's still on her r-room."
Sliding as if she were dodging a bullet, she made space for the teenager to enter, making a sloppy gesture, almost as if she had forgotten something.
"O-oh, right!" Apologetic as they came, she almost seemed like she'd bow her head to the ground at the apparent mistake. "The others c-can enter to if th-they wish to do so! S-sorry for forgetting about th-that!"´
Inside the small house, Ryo'd have to cross living run and get through some stairs to get to the girl's room, the door was currently half opened, and if he entered, he'd find Mana currently struggling with some winter socks. Those buggers seemed to be too tight. Maybe she had gotten the wrong number? So bothersome...

Ryouta at first was a bit bewildered in the appearance of the recent addition of the team, but made no other blunder at how the girl acted. He decided that if the girl is the one who answered, the high case Mana would be... frozen. He nodded at her but kindly rejected her offer for once... or no, more like postponing getting in.
"Mana must be cold right? I'll get some thick coat first. Hope that would help her somewhat... what about you, Miya? Would you like some too?" he asked.
Should the girl wanted for it, he'd fetch two, but if she's not, well, he'd only fetch one. He climbed the stairs leading to Mana's room, and opened the door wider. How cute, she's struggling with her winter socks. He quickly draped some thick, yet fluffy coat on her, then put an earmuff on her.
"And so here comes the safe... actually, you should only wear that until the train. Why don't we board Ilbert? I'm going to check what's going on honestly."

Miya smiled, ever so slightly, at Ryo taking her suggestion into account. She had done it! She had... been convincing, even to the point of being also a target of Mana's significant other's kindness. That made her really happy.
"Th-thank you." She muttered almost as a whisper, pretty much only for her to hear. Well, unless you had super draconic senses, that is. "R-regrettably I can't f-feel cold, so..."
Then she felt bad again at rejecting it. Ghosts couldn't feel heat or cold unless it was the magical kind used to injure other digimons, so the temperature wasn't an issue for her, maybe that being the reason why Aya and Suzu had sent her to answer the door. As plant faeries, they didn't seem to like the cold all that much. Still, Miya waited patiently for Ryo to search another coat and to come in before closing the door.
The boy didn't lose time, though. He arrived right in time to do... Ryo stuff, pretty much.
"Eh? Oh, hi Ryo-kun? How're you? Isn't the day beautiful?" The girl seemed to be way chipper than usual. Seemingly, she liked the cold? "Don't worry, I'm fine! I don't need a coat that big, it's just that this thing... surprised me on my pajamas. Not the best situation, you know. I still, you should know that I don't mind the cold! After all, I was born in a place that was really cold all the year!"
From her place, she stood up, taking his hand but not minding to get into the coat at all.
"Whoever gets to Ilbert last losses!" She had a head start, and even though she wanted to see the snow in person, she could comply to her boyfriend's suggestions. A pity that neither Aya nor Suzu wanted to go out, but that only meant one thing!
As soon as she went near the door, she saw Miya being on the same position Ryo had left her in, so... she took her hand and dragged her on her race towards Ilbert's gates.
"E-eek!" She exclaimed in surprise, but didn't oppose that much of a resistance as the human leaded the way. "W-where are w-we going?"
"Surprise, surprise!"

"Ah is that so? Well, that's convenient and amazing ability. Will be depending on you to protect Mana whenever the rest of Mana's entourage would have problem with the climate then!" he told her, trying to cheer her up, but at the same time also half serious. Ayaka and Suzuran doesn't seem to come out, so it only leave either her or Penny, but where is the dragon? Or is she also having hard problem with the cold? Regardless, he goes upstairs and checked whether Mana needs his help or not...
...But turned not. He forgot that she was born in a place that's really cold. Not as cold as Hokkaido, he guessed, but still really cold. Of course she gave a typical Mana greeting, which made him smile wryly. He stroked his girlfriend's head. However, the mention of race made him thrilled so to say. Quickly, the boy bolted toward the door and parkoured, grinning and giggling at his girlfriend. Poor Miya though, she must be surprised when he bolted out of the door so fast and get inside Ilbert.
"First!" Ryouta said, raising an index finger and poses. Of course this made some of his mercenaries laughing at his antic. Now, Isana meanwhile wasn't in chipper mood. She just stared at him like he's crazy and muttered to Illum something about giving her something warm to drink.
"...This sucks," the plant lady muttered.

Aw man, she got beat. It was kind of a pity, but kinda expected; dragging Miya around wasn't the easiest thing ever, especially since she wasn't really able to read the mood.
"Shucks. alright, you won." She said with a smile, still holding into the digimon's hand. "Next time I'll get you, however!"
Her smile got even bigger at Isana's appearance. She approached the digimon and hugged her tightly.
"Isa-chan!" Even though the digimon could be on a sour mood every now and then, Mana still respected her as a good friend and as her partner's mom, something that probably generated her carefree attitude towards her. "How have you been? The cold's probably not good for you, so, why don't you go to the house with Aya-chan and Suzu-chan? They're probably around the fireplace with Penny right now! You know, being a plant or cold-blooded as its disadvantages here. But I digress; good to see y'all!"
As Mana greeted everyone else in there, her companion was left by herself, facing Isana directly. She seemed to wither under the digimons gaze, feeling the need to say something.
"U-Um!" Thinking seemed to be way easier than doing, at least for her. "I-I'm sure that Mana-san d-din't mean to offend y-you, Isana-san! D-don't get mad at her, p-please."
Meanwhile, once the teenager was done with the pleasantries, she just stared back at her boyfriend, bright smile still on her face.
"So, Ryo-kun. What plans do you have for today? I'm sure you didn't come and invited me here just to say hi. So, what's it?"

"Well, the loser should do what the winner said, shouldn't she?" Ryouta teased Mana, kissing her cheek and strokes her head. The boy was rather surprised when the girl approached Isana and hugged her, though. He wondered if the plant lady would mind... but turned out, not really? She just stared up at Mana and muttered a precious jewel:
"My bark is too old to weather the cold like this. Even Dark area is better than this sort of temperature. Plus Ilbert could raise the temperature just fine anyway... please do so, Ilbert."
"Understand, madam."
Looks like the temperature is slowly raising to warm, and Isana seem to be content at the heat.. "Those three instead should come here, because it's much more bearable in here," she suggested. "By the way... who was your name, child? Miyako was it? I'm not offended, do not worry. I'm just someone who need right temperature to not act like some old woman waiting for heating service to fix the heater."
Ryouta meanwhile wondering at what should he do. Should he somehow ask whether she wanted to play santa claus for once, or she wanted to check the source? Whichever it was, he tell her...
"So I'm thinking to either ask you to play santa claus or come with me to check the source of this anomaly. Whichever works."

Mana looked at Ryouta, blowing a raspberry at him as he tried to take advantage of his position.
"Nope, no rewards for you!" She evaded his gestures with a quick movement. "In fact, none of those for the rest of day just because you're a meanie!"
As the GranLocomon's temperature rose due to Ilbert's doing, Mana pouted just a bit. She liked the cold, but could understand the hoW much Isana struggled against it, especially since her own partners were on the same predicament.
"I probably couldn't get them outta that house even if I tried, in all honesty. Well, maybe I could if my life were in danger or something, but I have Miya-chan with me, so I'm one-hundred percent safe!"
Of course, the holosuited digimon's cheeks immediately flared up like tomatoes at that show of confidence. She wanted to hide somewhere or to become invisible or something, but... that'd probably be more embarrassing.
But that wasn't important right now. The redhead just stared right towards her boyfriend, looking at him as if he had grown crazy or something. Anomaly?
"It's winter, dummy! Stuff like this happens every year." She remarked, not missing a beat. "Also, Santa Claus? Please I'm sure that most people in here have grown outta that. Like, I stopped believing at eight or so. Why don't we go to see the sights? I beat that the beach must be beautiful when covered by snow. Like, we don't even need Ilbert!"
Said and done, she bolted out of the GranLocomon, back into the open, running while giggling through the snowy expanse.
"Mana-san! P-please, wait!" Her first follower was already behind her.

Ryouta only chuckled now. "Who's the mean one now? You're such a tease, Mana." Of course he understood that she'd feel rather miffed with the sudden heater turned on, but what could he do? Her partner not coming out of the house is already within his prediction, so he merely nodded. Still, the moment when she looked as if he's crazy, he stared back at her with the same look.
"...Oi, this is tropics. If there is somewhere in tropics suddenly snowed, I'd 100% get worried. I dunno where you got the funny idea that it's even normal in Whitewater of all place. Granted, it's Digital World, but still, that was uncalled for, you cheeky girl. Also, you might stopped believing in Santa, but lot of babies here probably still believe on him. Don't go on crushing child's dream!" he said with a pouty face. "...Then again, it's not like we celebrated 'em either, so to begin with I don't believe in him."
Though, beach and snow in Japan is very common, so he thought. Regardless, Ryouta ran toward Mana, catching up with her easily. Poor Miyako, though. He sent her some apologizing glance.

Mana just waved off Ryo, pretty much dismissively as she shrugged right afterwards. Well, it was true that the heater being suddenly turned on made her slightly uncomfortable, but she hadn't said anything about it!
"So, I can't even make faces now? Definitely you are the meanie. Isana's way nicer than you. Or Ilbert, or Illum or Rosa, while we're at it!"
Even if she knew for sure that he'd pick up with her soon. But that was fine; well, as long as Miya picked up with them as well. After all, while she was quite fast when she wanted to, her natural shyness made her a little... indecisive.
Oh well.
"You said it! It's the Digital World, so anything can happen! Now, think less and enjoy this more!" She made a small pause. Seemingly, Ryo was in for real regarding playing santa. "I'm not sure digimons have santas anyway, so... do they have somebody who gives them gifts when digijesus was born? That'd be really interesting!"
The holosuited digimon seemed to struggle behind the two lovebirds, even though she didn't look to be all that tired. Still, she seemed to be terribly shy once she caught up with them.
"M-Mana-san, please..." Again, her tone could only betray an enormous amount of nervousness. "Ayaka-san and Suzuran-san w-wouldn't appreciate it if y-you got injured or s-something..."
She just got hugged as a response, making a bright red blush flare through her cheeks.
"Don't worry! Nothing will happen to me if I have you at my side. I'd be a little preoccupied if it were only Ryo-kun, buy luckily, that's not the case! Now, let's do some fun stuff."
She threw herself at the snow-covered sand, quickly making the figure of a snow angel on her spot.
"You should do it too! It's really fun!"
Miyako looked with doubt at Mana, then at Ryouta, then at Mana. She seemed to be waiting for something, but what was that?

Of course Ryouta only chuckled at Mana. "There's no Digijesus although there's Jesmon, but Jesmon isn't exactly a messiah to begin with, otherwise there will be lot of people that worships the ground where Kenji walks just because his partner Gin the Huckmon would evolve to Jesmon, right? Well, then again, there could be data that seeped to this world, telling this world about what christmas is. You can't be too sure about Digital World I guess."
He rose an eyebrow at Mana, wondering why would she got preoccupied when he's wearing full thick coat at it, but regardless decided to strokes her head. "Just don't make the poor girl lose her head now. Rather than you, I'm worried more about her flustering too much because of your antics, girl."
Of course he purposely teases her for it. He laughed when Mana decided to make snow angel of all thing, but Ryouta followed suit this time around, making one too. To his surprise, the snow is thick!
"It's OK to be childish at times!"

Welp.
"Then? What would a digimon celebrate in Christmas? You're just being silly, Ryo, but your mind games won't affect me, you know! I'm way ahead of them!"
Still, Miyako seemed to be rather doubtful of the mere idea of having fun. She wanted to, but it was fine for her to do it? Ryouta and Mana seemed to be so happy about it...
"Come on, Miya-chan! Come here!" Taking some impulse, the girl dragged the digimon into the snow, making her fall with rather soundly.
"E-Eeeek!" Kinda obvious that she was surprised, but still... while she didn't feel anything due to the snow, she felt strangely at ease, almost as if the white ground cooled her nerves. Static as she was... she felt in peace. Well, momentarily before the girl who had dragged her down decided to glomp her from behind.
"O-oof!" Well, of course she was surprised. But right now, at least she didn't feel as nervous as she had been before.
"See? This is lots of fun! You should relax every now and then too, you know? Otherwise you'll grow old really fast!"
The digimon was probably older than Mana and all her partners together, but she just decide to shyly nod at her request and just enjoy the hug. In all honesty, it felt nice.
"Th-thank you."
Maybe it was just the weather or whatever, but she felt strangely at piece. Or maybe it was the girl on top of her. No way for her to know.

"What would Japanese celebrate in Christmas, then?" he asked back. "Most Japanese isn't Christian, yet they still celebrate Christmas. To begin with, I think there are too many atheist Japanese, or maybe agnostic. Whichever it was, trading presents, being there with family and such is still a tradition in Christmas. It was popularized after they seem to be interested on doing whatever the Americans are doing, so all in all, it's probably not that different here either. 'Because it was popular' will be the excuse."
...though he find it incredibly ironic that she said mind game when he's actually as stupidly frank as he could come... why somehow his words to Mana lately sounds like some mind games? He thought he's being clear enough.
He only looked at the two girls that played about, and then hugged on the snow, but... oi, it's the snow. He can't help but to suddenly feeling a bit mischievous. He suddenly tossed a snowball lightly to Mana's back. although that should be enough of a poke.
"Well, if you said to have fun, then you should play with some snowballs too~"

Ryouta's reasoning was somewhat sound. That much Mana had to admit. Still, it wasn't as if she was too interested on discussing this kind of stuff.
"That's probably a pretty good reason." She shrugged nonchalantly at that. "Still, you know that something like that has to transmit from human to digimon and they have to find it significant enough for it to be a holiday. I mean, It's probably not the same to export a holiday from one country to its fanboy country than to do so from two totally different worlds, don't you think?"
She was having a lot of fun, but that suddenly changed when... the Ryouta nation attacked. The snowball collided harmlessly against her back. A war declaration, if she had seen them.
"You're totally on!" Quickly standing up, she made a snowball as quickly as she could and threw it directly at the teenager's face.
Right afterwards, she began to run towards the most nearby thing that she could use to block the incoming projectiles, smiling just as she found one of those weird rental tents. Well, good enough at least.
"Surrender now, Ryo-kun! It won't be as embarrassing that way, you know!"
Miya, had just been taken by surprise by the whole situation, and frankly... didn't know how to react to it. What was she supposed to do about it?
She had to admit that it looked like it was fun, however...
