Name: Sleeves (previously Fangs, but he hates that name)
Default Form: Gazimon
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Skills/Talents:
Iron Stomach – Sleeves can eat most anything and be okay. He’s a nervous eater and more times than not will find himself gnawing on whatever he has on hand, at times swallowing the most seemingly inedible things whole before being able to stop himself. Years of this habit have caused his guts to grow pretty strong.
Artsy – Sleeves fidgets… a lot. When you’ve got claws as big as his that can be problematic unless you have some way to channel it. So after years of accidentally squashing or shredding whatever small items he had on hand, the jittery Gazimon learned to control these impulses and became quite talented at arts and crafts. Nothing too fancy, but high speed wood carving is a nice party trick…
Inventory:
1x White Collared Shirt
1x Black and White Polka-Dot Tie
Personality:
To the outside world, Sleeves appears somewhat aloof and socially awkward. For the most part that’s exactly what he is. He’s undergone a great change in his life and now actively fights against his nature.
He was raised to believe that as a virus type, it was his purpose as a virus type. Upon realizing his purpose was whatever he wanted it to be, he became rather confused. He now strives to be good and just, but due to his upbringing knows little of the social norms and subtleties that exist outside the small and secluded village where he was raised. He also possesses a faint blood-lust, a craving for the thrill of battle and taste of victory that can lead him into a frenzy under the right circumstances. This terrifies him and sometimes can leave him a bit of a mess should he ever have to fight. Due to this internal conflict, he can be highly sensitive if not timid.
His sense of morality is slightly skewed, but he is trying to learn how to be ‘one of the good guys’. He hates blind conflict, prejudice based type or attribute. and any situation where all angles are not considered. Along with this and his childlike nativity, he can be drawn into bad crowds or even do terrible things of his own accord without realizing how far from his personal mantra he is straying.
He really does want to make the world a better place (he’s sentimental like that), he just doesn’t know how he’s going to do that yet. At the end of the day, all he really wants is to feel comfortable in his own skin and to find a place to call home where he can be accepted and loved.
Personal History:
Sleeves was not always sleeves. He once went by the name of Fangs (for his love of biting anything and everything, especially when it caused pain). He doesn’t like to talk about those days. This Gazimon was raised in a village on in the wasteland of the Dark Area. More of kraal than village, despite what it's denizens may have called it. It was really little more than a few mud-stained tents around a fire pit and a rickety shack made of scrap that acted as their 'town hall'. It was insignificant, and far enough from pretty much everything that few even knew the place existed.
This tribe of mostly Pagumon were more malicious than usual. They were led by a Devimon who went by ‘The Count’. Kind of a play on the fact that he was a vampire looking Digimon and kind of a play on his obsession with numbers. Their leader had ensured that any who joined him drank of a 'sacred potion' as an oath to stick together. What none of them new was that this was a blend of alcohol, water of the blood ocean and a few components that would stop said water from killing those who drank it. This was supposed to make them more powerful and bloodthirsty, things they would need to survive the dark area (or so The Count said). Sleeves was never sure if the concoction had made him stronger for more than his first week of joining, but it had certainly left him a blood-lust and a feeling that his very soul was tainted; this being something he never could quite get rid of.
The Count had been scheming a way to claim more territory and leave the Dark Area for years. He had felt that as virus types, he and his brethren were given the short end of the stick too often, the crust to the rest of the world's pizza. He declared it was only fair that if they were hated so much that they could strike back at the digital world for treating them like outcasts when they had done nothing wrong. This was the counter argument used to stamp out any semblance of traditional morality his 'children' might have had. Of course, there was more to that story...
What he never told his followers was that he wasn’t hated for being a virus type. Many a virus type had done good things for the world and such prejudice was not nearly as common as he would have them believe. No. He was hated for being a genuine menace, leading raids on innocent Digimon for no reason other than to steal their wealth and kill any who resisted for their data. Eventually he was found out and banished to the Dark Area by a bunch of do-gooders. This village was simply his attempt to build an army of followers he could brainwash into serving him by making them think he was the only one who cared about them. The whole tribe was very much a psychopathic, twisted and dysfunctional family. But to many of it's members they had never known any other sense of belonging and so they stuck together despite the hardships of living in a wasteland in the most twisted part of the Digital World.
One day a human tamer and his partner, a Liollmon, came through. They were lost and looking for help, even a way to get out of the Dark Area. Seeing the vaccine type partner set the Pagumon in a particularly foul mood and they were awful to this human. They attacked without mercy to ‘teach him a lesson’ for ‘thinking you're better than us’. The Liollmon fought them off easily enough but the pair quickly had to flee or risk being overwhelmed. Sleeves or, Fangs as he was then known, met this human on the way out. He had not seen the exchange and had no idea what had just happened. He hadn't met the Liollmon either, as the small holy beast had gone off to set up a campsite away from the village. A place where he and his partner could recover. He made a passing comment that he liked the human’s outfit. A collared shirt and tie over a t-shirt. It intrigued the (then) Pagumon. It was a comment that slipped out, he had not meant to interact with this ‘outsider’ but it was in his nature to think aloud at the time (another trait of The Count's upbringing, hoping to expose any would be deserters early and nip them off at the bud). Expecting a nasty retort as The Count had taught him to, he readied to pounce and bite the human. Then his life was changed.
The human smiled, even laughed. He was not laughing at the Pagumon but at some concept that was beyond him Regardless, it was clear that it brought him genuine joy. He introduced himself as Joseph and said he was pleased to know that he was right; that there was some good spirit everywhere, even when things looked dark. The boy asked Fangs to never become like his tribesmen, blinded by hatred and fear. Fangs was taken aback, could The Count have been wrong? He admitted he was ready to attack the boy, but now saw that would have been foolish and wished him good luck on his way.
Around the corner, his tribesmen were listening. Outraged that Fangs could befriend a human, one partnered with a vaccine Digimon no less, they jumped to attack him. That was when Joseph threw himself in front of the Pagumon horde and took their blows to save Fangs the pain. Fangs could not believe what he was seeing, how the very thing they feared and fought against they were guilty of themselves. A mixture of his own blood-lust, his desire to repay the human's kindness and ironically the very hatred of blind prejudice The Count had taught him made something awaken inside Fangs. He digivolved to Gazimon and with that element of surprise on his side fought off his brethren soon enough to save the boy. But things were not over.
The Count showed up and struck Fangs down with one blow. He expressed he had no desire to harm either of them further, should they vow never to return to this village. Shocked and betrayed, the newly evolved Gazimon tuned his back without another word and helped the boy back to the camp where his blissfully unaware partner Liollmon was waiting. Using his flawed but mildly useful knowledge of the Dark Area's geography they were eventually able to leave meeting up with some slightly more friendly folk in the Fragment Village.
For a short time, the three traveled together becoming close friends. Fangs began to see how wrong his sheltered view of the world was and something began to change. Before he could fully understand it however, Joseph came to decide he wished to leave the digital world, possibly forever. As a parting gift, Joseph gave Fangs his shirt and tie saying they were not really fit to be worn as they were shredded. But he recalled that Fangs had liked the outfit, and wanted him to have it as a token to remember the day they met, apologizing that he had nothing else to give. That was the day he donned the shirt that got him the name Sleeves. That was the day he took a vow to learn all he could about the world and try to undo the false learning he had been raised upon while striving to be a better being.
In the few weeks since then, Sleeves has been wandering the digital world aimlessly. Having the odd adventure here or there but mostly feeling unfulfilled (and rather lost). He decided he needed something new in his life and began searching for a more specific purpose. That was when he came across a flier advertising jobs in the city of Terminus. He had no idea what a job was but the flier said it could get him money and The Count had always said money was a useful resource. Reluctant to listen to the words of his former mentor, but noting that was all he had to go on at the time, he set off to find the city. He hoped, that he could find out for himself if it might serve him well and if he might acquire some new resource to aid him in his quest, even though he had no idea what his ‘quest’ was…
Notable Figures, Friends, Rivals, Enemies, Etc:
The Count
Devimon, leader of a small tribal village at the edge of the Dark Area. Highly charismatic and manipulative, he has bred a hate group of misguided virus type Digimon into a small army he uses to secure various footholds around the digital world. After his banishment he went a little batty. He was outnumbered and overwhelmed leading to his defeat and ever since he’s been obsessed with numbers. Totaling the numbers behind his resources, his village population, the number of able bodied digimon in the surrounding areas, the probability of a successful raid, etc. It is also what created his interest in the sciences leading him to develop the formula he fed to all who joined his tribe. Finally, this is what earned him his name. He’s not too much of a threat, even when his more trusted allies gang up. Digivolving to ultimate or even champion, would scare off all the underlings and a 1 on 1 fight is nothing a skilled tamer/Digimon duo couldn’t handle. Hardly a major villain in any sense. To Sleeves, a solo rookie Digimon, he’s a bit much to handle, especially if his goons are around given that they hate Sleeves for his disgraceful dismissal and the fact that he has now gone against everything their beloved leader has taught them. Sleeves has very much become an icon of everything The Count's children should not be. Their twisted equivalent of the fallen angel concept.
Munch
A Black Agumon who was a close friend back when Fangs was the preferred name. Back then he was also merely a Pagumon and one of the more open minded individuals in the group. Now, unbeknownst to Sleeves, Munch has become just a little too power hungry. He sees right through the lies The Count weaves but plays along happily as his second in command. One could say Munch has replaced Sleeves as the 'favorite child' and as he was always jealous of the extra attention The Count gave to Sleeves, it is likely the reason he elected to stay rather than follow his former friend into the big wide world.
FRESH: ZURUMON
Attribute: Data
Family/ies: ??
Type: Slime
Childlike, absent minded and very squishy. In this form Sleeves is barely anything at all. He is playful, a little mischievous and capable of squishing himself into tight spaces for no reason other than 'well why not?'
Abilities: [1 Ability]
Poison Bubbles – Deceptively playful and pretty, these bubbles are laced with a deadly poison that will sting, burn and leave a nasty rash if it touches your skin.
Digivolves To:
IN TRAINING: PAGUMON
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare Soldiers
Type: Lesser
Small, naive, relatively powerless. In this form Sleeves feels slightly more comfortable using his old name of Fangs but it still leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. He has no trouble controlling himself in this form anymore and can be considered to be the most sane form in his arsenal.
Combat Abilities: [2 Abilities]
Poison Spit – Lobs a glob of spit toward his enemy. From the same glands as his fresh poison bubbles, this glob has a more concentrated form of the poison that can burn through clothes and do far worse than just make you feel icky
Dark Fang – A nip from the fangs, harmless enough, unless you consider the fact that it channels the dark energy of any malice this Digimon may harbor toward you.
Digivolves To:
ROOKIE: GAZIMON
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare Soldiers, Nature Spirits
Type: Beast
The standard, preferred form of Sleeves. In this form he is almost always able to control his emotions and impulses and can be seen wearing a shredded collar shirt and black and white polka dot tie.
Non-Combat Abilities: [1 Ability]
[Passive] Nightmare Vision – Gazimon can see perfectly in the dark and 75% as well in poor visibility conditions such as fog or rain.
Combat Abilities: [4 Abilities]
Pitfall – Sending a surge of energy to his claws and then slashing at the earth, a shock-wave travels outward in a straight line for about 3 meters shifting the earth and causing anything caught in its path to sink into the ground. If enough time is taken to focus, he can alter the shape, size and path of this shock-wave giving it one or two interesting non-combat uses as well. This later note is mostly not applicable in combat as his focus would ideally be on the opponent.
Shadow Crunch – Biting into a foe might appear deceptively ineffective until a split-second later, when a powerful surge of dark power is transmitted through the teeth into the foe. This attack inflicts more damage the more hurt Gazimon is. 1.5x effective vs Data types and 0.5x effective vs Vaccine types
Nemesis Claw – If an enemy blocks or otherwise evades one of Gazimon’s other attacks, he may activate Nemesis Claw for one post. His claws ripple with dark red energy enabling him to strike once per claw dealing double the amount of usual damage. [1 Post Cool-down]
Nightmare Eye – While maintaining eye contact, Gazimon can tap into a target’s nightmares (or just... regular dreams. It's a basic temporary telepathic link) and see through any illusions they may cast or [non-simultaneously] bring their nightmares into the waking world, creating an illusion that lasts for; 1 post against a champion foe, 2 posts against a rookie, 4 against an in training opponent. This ability is also useful outside of combat. [2 Post Cool-down]
Digivolves To:
ARMOUR CHAMPION: SEASARMON
(Egg Hunt not yet performed)
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Nature Spirits
Type: Holy Beast
Sleeves fear of causing unnecessary harm and his faint blood-lust are things he deals with all the time. In some situations however there is simply no time to debate the necessity of combat or digivolution. A fight/flight reaction is needed. In these times, if Sleeves is able to resist succumbing to frenzied panic or destructive rage without holding back his abilities, he is gains access to a new power. This excessive control of his emotional and mental state activates the digitama of moderation allowing him to transform into the Holy Sun Beast: Seasarmon. With his mind is at peace, his inner turmoil is completely removed; turned into a bank of raw holy power. Praise The Sun.
Non-Combat Abilities: [2 Abilities]
[Noncombat Passive] Levitation/Flight
[Noncombat Passive] Glow of the Sun – Seasarmon can glow at will, enough to illuminate unlit areas dimly.
Combat Abilities: [6 Abilities]
[Passive] Sekkantou (Vanquish Evil) – Seasarmon emits a radiant aura that reduces the power of by evil or dark type Digimon in his presence.
Sun’s Courage – Fires a barrage of holy arrows of sunlight
Roar of the Sun – Unleashes a deafening roar whilst spewing holy fire from his maw
Soul Purge – Looking into the eyes of the holy beast will burn your very soul dealing an increasing amount of damage unless you submit, and loose the will to fight for every post you continue to meet its gaze. Those of a strong will can simply look away breaking the effect after 1 post if they fall meet the gaze. Those who are otherwise emotionally unstable, weak, or caught off guard can feel compelled to hold the stare for up to 3 posts. [2 post cool-down]
Divine Radiance – For 2 posts Seasarmon burns with the light of divinity. His body is replaced with pure holy sunlight making him extremely difficult to look at and immune to to attacks that rely on physical contact. (How can you throw a stone at sunlight? Silly...). Attacks of a non-physical nature can still affect him (See now a magic stone...) Following this he has to recharge his divine power, losing his passive abilities including the protection of Sekkantou for 2 posts
Divine Retribution – Upon being struck, Seasarmon may take retribution upon his foe striking them back with twice the force of the blow he suffered but taking a quarter of the damage again as penance for using holy power in wrath, should the attack succeed. [2 post cooldown]
Digivolves To:
CHAMPION: DEVIDRAMON
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Nightmare Soldiers
Type: Dark, Dragon
A representation of the bloodlust lurking beneath his timid demenour. All of his repressed emotion takes over completely upon being given the power of champion form, free from the way the Gazimon had been repressing it. In this form Sleeves is barely himself. Struggling to retain control over himself in this form, he avoids using it as often as he can.
Non Combat Abilities: [2 Abilities]
[Passive] Wings – Devidramon has wings, watch him fly like a G6
[Passive] Dragonsense - As a powerful predator, he has very powerful sense of smell as well as four eyes allowing him to find his way in most situations where others might have dulled senses such as fog, rain, dark, etc
Combat Abilities: [6 Abilities]
[Passive/Toggle] Bloodlust – Devidramon places a lot of focus on controlling himself and not giving in to his blood-lust. As such his attacks are very controlled, thus making them slightly more precise. In truth however, speed is Devidramon’s true strength and should he choose to let go of that control he can sacrifice this precision for a significant boost in movement and attack speed.
Crimson Howl – An ear splitting howl with which Devidramon fires a blast of dark red energy from his maw. Rumor has it, this blast can melt steel beams.
Dragon’s Gale – A solid thrust of his wings sends a powerful shockwave through the air in all directions. This can be sustained for a bit longer if Devidramon is in flight.
Butcher Barrage – A volley of harsh slashes delivered at an uncanny speed. Deadly, and hard to escape from if you are caught by the first blow.
Crimson Nightmare – Making eye contact with a foes, Devidramon can see into their minds revealing their worst nightmares. This attack can be performed to varying effect, seeing into just one of his eyes will disorientate the foe (and with four eyes, more than one foe can be hit with this minor effect) but should one being catch the gaze of all four it will send them into a bout of paralyzing madness for 1 post. Seeing the darkest fears of others has an effect on Sleeves as well and he needs 2 post to calm down before using this again so he doesn't get driven mad as well. (1 post if not used to full effect, eg. not all eyes focused on one target)
Dark Harvest – While holding onto any foe, Devidramon can draw a small amount of that foe’s life force into himself to recover minor wounds. [2 post cool-down.]
Digivolves To:
Ultimate: Cyberdramon
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Wind Guardians, Metal Empire, Nature Spirits, Virus Busters
Type: Cyborg
Still monstrous and vicious, but now bound by mechanical implants. The raging dragon of Cyberdramon is entwined with the machinery that is Sleeves trying to exercise control of his power. The change to vaccine type goes to show how far Sleeves has come and he is relatively capable of using this form without fearing he will loose control.
Non Combat Abilities: [2 Abilities]
[Passive] Jet Propulsion – Provided he is not on a cool down from his overdrive ability, Cyberdramon can use his jet thrusters to fly or stabilize his movement.
[Passive] Cyber-vision - Cyberdramon's eyes are mechanical, wired directly into his brain. He views life through a HUD allowing him to essentially have night and heat vision (unless of course recovering form his Overdrive ability, in which case he is limited to basic image processing) as well as a telescopic zoom. The images are still routed to his biological brain and so illusions and other combat focused abilities still affect him by default.
Attacks: [7 Abilities]
[Passive] Cyborg Body – Much of Cyberdramon’s body is mechanical thus he can rotate certain joints 360 degrees for increased mobility and evasiveness. He also finds electricity based attacks to do significantly less damage as they are absorbed by the mechanical parts of his body.
Fragmentation Wave – Cyberdramon produces a super-oscillatory wave from both of it’s arms that fragments and scrambles all data caught in it’s path. A Digimon hit by the wave will be stunned as their data is scrambled and they have to piece themselves back together for 1 post. (2 post cooldown)
Overdrive – Using the non-machine part of his brain, Cyberdramon can force his circuits to go into overdrive. This gives him a significant boost in speed and power for 3 posts putting him far above your average ultimate digimon in terms of fighting potentional. However, it leaves him vulnerable for 3 posts as his overcharged circuits need time to cool down (no special attacks until after the cooldown) (Think Tony Stark in a low battery Iron Man suite)
Jet Force Punch/Kick – Activating jets in the appropriate part of his body, Cyberdramon can accelerate the speed of a punch or kick to the point his whole body is thrown with the attack for increased damage.
Sky Cutter – Extending the blades on his arms and activating his rear thrusters, Cyberdramon flies toward his foes slashing them viciously as he moves past.
Gattling Pulse – Cyberdramon fires of a barrage of electric bolts from the palms of his hands. It takes a moment to build up the charge but then can fire until he runs out of energy. However, while firing he cannot dodge or block/parry an attack effectively if he hopes to keep his aim.
Remote Access – Cyberdramon can fire a chip into the body of any digital being. This will give him remote access to the visual data of the target (provided the chip implants successfully) via this chip Cyberdramon can see through his targets eyes until the chip burns out (5 posts). Alternatively, burning out the chip in 3 posts, Cyberdramon can hack their visual centers making them hallucinate. Once fired his body immediately begins manufacturing a new chip, but this takes 6 posts until it is ready to be used again.
Digivolves To:
Mega: Justimon
(Pictured in the Titan Phase)
Attribute: Vaccine
Family/ies: Virus Busters, Wind Guardians, Metal Empire
Type: Cyborg
Justimon is the manifestation of Sleeve’s desire for justice and righteous action. He is the final milestone in Sleeves battle for control of his evil nature where his inner turmoil is converted to raw power once again, the power to deliver great justice. The full body machine that is Justimon’s cyborg form is the representation of the perfect control Sleeves now has over his power as well as a total if not comical exaggeration of his desire to do good. Very much the stereotypical D&D Paladin, now 20% more digimon.
Non-Combat Abilities: [1 Ability]
[Passive] Wings of Justice – Justimon has jet thrusters all around his body allowing for extremely agile movement and flight. It is fueled by his burning desire for justice and so can be used indefinitely.
[Passive] Justice Vision - Justimon has robotic eyes allowing him to see through all visual impairments such as darkness, sandstorms, fog, etc. and utilize a zoom function. He also views the world through a HUD, but as an improvement from that of Cyberdramon; Justimon's is customizable. He is able to change the tint of the screen, adjust the brightness and apply a variety of Snapchat filters old and new to all that he sees. After a long day of maintaining justice, such subtleties provide the amusement needed to keep his spirits high.
[Passive] Trinity Cycle - Justimon can alter the function of his robotic body at will switching between three phases. Each phase gives him access to slightly different abilities and are all based around the design of his right arm.
Combat Abilities: [9 Abilities]
Justice Kick – Execute a kick powered by justice, known put forth a force of up to 50 tonnes.
Quick Draw – It's high-noon. Justimon makes a finger gun in his left hand and fires a bolt of pure energy at his target. Capable of rapid fire.
[Passive] Titan Phase - Right arm becomes the 'Titan Arm', the length of his body and much larger in size. In this phase his circuits are set to prioritize defense giving a passive boost to damage reduction.
- Thunderclap: Justimon slams the titan arm to the ground generating a shock-wave damaging and knocking down all around him.
- Titan Shield: The Titan Arm can be placed in front of Justimon to open up into a riot shield of sorts. This shield can fully absorb 2 mega attacks, 4 ultimate, 6 champion, etc before the arm becomes too damaged to use further. Justimon will have to switch to a different phase so that the arm can be repaired for 3 posts
[Passive] Blitz Phase - Right arm becomes an electrically supercharged gauntlet, the 'Blitz Arm'. While in this phase Justimon’s circuits are set to prioritize attack power, significantly boosting damage output.
- Justice Canon: Orbs of lighting can be fired from the Blitz arm rapidly for low damage or by charging for increased damage (charge can be held for up to a 3 posts for a truly devastating attack).
[Passive] Striker Phase - Right arm becomes the base of a retractable plasma blade which stems from the wrists outward, the 'Striker Arm'. Justimon’s circuits are set to prioritize both movement and attack speed. Combined with his agility, if he is on top form this makes him pretty difficult to hit or evade. This is a 'dodge and strike' form and the plasma blade cannot be used as a shield like the titan arm.
[Finisher] Final Justice – Shifts the trinity arm into its secret form: a projectile combination of all three phases. The entire arm is then fired as a javelin like missile using Justimon’s targeting software to guide it. The impact is a devastating attack more powerful than all of Justimon’s attacks combined (WAN PUUUUUUNCH) but the Trinity arm is destroyed in the process leaving him unable to use any of his Trinity Cycle abilities or bonuses until that data is re-configured the next time he is able to digivolve to mega level.

DIGIMON'S INITIAL EVOLUTION LINE
