The mood at the park was calm and serene, the quiet beauty enhanced by the tiny layers of frost coating most of the benches and grass. The sky had a dull gray tone to it, every now and then patches of clouds would lazily drift by. However, that sullen yet meditative mood would soon be broken by a crackle of energy materializing roughly 2 feet off of the ground. The sudden rush of energy created a small gust of wind, rustling the grass underneath and melting the frost off as a blue and black colored hole appeared. The hole continued to open itself up, the space it showed containing a series of 0s and 1s, a tinny sounding scream echoing from the other side.
After a minute or two passed, a red circular looking blob would fall from the small rip in space. The small little thing bounced in place, it's tiny black eyes blinking before it looked around in visible confusion, a frown on it's face. It looked up above at the portal which had spat it out from it's home in Primary Village. In vain the small red thing bounced in place, it's eyes becoming watery as it couldn't reach the vortex above it. After around 10 seconds of trying, the hole began to quickly seal itself, the space it occupied closing with a semi-loud 'boom'.
The small digimon recoiled at the sound, shivering in place as it began to notice the cold, biting air surrounding it. This didn't help make the thing feel any better, and the amount of tears surrounding it's eyes began to multiply. a moment later, the small digimon began to let out a mournful wail, emanating from a small hill not far from one of the many roads dotting the park.

Colin James just couldn't quite put his finger on why, but, he had to admit, since meeting his digimon partners, his life had definitely changed for the better.
Walking through the park on this frosty day, his holosuited digimon partners were at his side, cheerfully making smalltalk about their lives as disguised humans. In reality, the purple-haired kid, Bellamy, was an Impmon, while the little red-haired boy Luke was an Elecmon. Dressed in casual winter clothing, they were having a break from their adventures in the digital world, simply going about their lives as required for 13 year-old boys in Tokyo.
As they talked, Colin grew a little quiet. One day he would have to tell his family about Luke and Bellamy. So far, they had only been introduced to his parents as friends from school, and they had made a good impression so far. But to tell them that he was going on adventures with a thunder-rabbit and a devil-cat in another world, daily? Well... that would be difficult.
"Soo..." Bellamy said, giving a mischievous look at his brother. "You interested in anyone yet?"
"M... maybe..." Luke said, blushing, then suddenly glared back at him. "Will you stop asking me that? Geez, just because you've got a boyfriend now doesn't mean you've gotta play matchmaker for everyone"
"Heh heh, I'll get it outta you one day" Bellamy said in his casual brooklyn accent. "Besides it'll be healthy for ya. Just tell me who it is and I can hook you up"
Luke looked exasperated, then noticed Colin was silent. Was he zoning out on their talk as usual or was something bothering him? His face looked pensive. "Everything okay, Colin?" he asked.
"Hm? Oh, yeah" Colin said. Luke was about to ask what the matter was when they heard some kind of wailing noise in the distance. "Hm? What's that?"
Bellamy sniffed the air. "Huh. I smell a digimon" he remarked. "A baby one too, we should go check it out!"
Colin and Luke agreed. They rushed to the origin of the noise, and there, on a small frosty hill was a little red blob of a digimon.
"Aw, it's a Jyarimon" Luke said, the holosuited red-haired boy crouching down. "Heya. Everything okay?" he asked, gently. Colin and Bellamy kept back a few paces, not wanting to smother the baby digimon or scare it away. Of the three of them, Luke was probably the least imposing of them, with Colin being rather tall and Bellamy's holosuit looking kind of wild.

Jyarimon's crying continued to emit from atop the hill, only pausing momentarily as she stopped to breath. Luckily, she wouldn't be kept waiting by herself for too long. As Jyarimon cried out in confusion and fear, she didn't realize that some strangers were approaching her from behind, though the growing shadows around her clued her in. After noticing the sound coming from behind her, Jyarimon turned around, noticing Luke, the Elecmon disguised as a human. Although Luke blended in perfectly with other humans, Jyarimon even as a baby was able to detect his scent as a digimon, a recognizable thing from her own world.
Jyarimon sniffled as her crying began to abate somewhat, the presence of another digimon calming her down. Luke's friendly approach made her feel he was trustworthy enough in this alien world, and she bounced toward him with her fearful expression. Once she was close enough, Jyarimon would nuzzle up against Luke's leg in seek of comfort, her crying beginning to wane. After a moment of calming down, she'd gaze upward at the human looking digimon, her squiggly looking mouth looking as though it was trying to form words. "H-HOME!" the little digimon exclaimed, still shivering in place.
While Luke would be responding to her (if he did), she'd look behind her at Bellamy and Colin. Her small black eyes would be scanning the two for any sense of danger. While Bellamy's look did make her fearful, her afraid looking facial expression didn't seem to become any worse. After staring at Colin for a moment or two, she'd bury her face into Luke's leg once more.
"Home! Home!" she'd cry out, obviously still distraught by her apparent displacement.

Luke was at least relieved to see the Jyarimon stop crying and didn't run away. He smiled and gently patted between her ears as she rubbed against his leg - knowing that that was where he enjoyed being petted in his Elecmon form.
"Home did you say?" Luke asked as Jyarimon looked at Colin and Bellamy. Both were trying to look as non-threatening as possible, although Bellamy's wild purple hair and a custom T-shirt reading a bragging statement in English made it kind of difficult in his case.
"You wanna go home, huh?" Bellamy asked. "Back to the digital world?" he tilted his head with confusion.
"I don't think so, Bellamy" Luke said, looking up at his brother. "I mean, she came to Earth without using the Trailmon. Usually when that happens, they're a partner digimon with a strong bond to their partner"
"Huh, I see, so you wanna go find your partner huh?" Bellamy asked, folding his arms as he realized the gravity of this request. "Colin, how many people live in Tokyo again? 13? 14 Million?"
"Well surely they're somewhere nearby" Colin said, realizing this digimon wouldn't have ended up in Northern Shibuya if her partner was elsewhere. He was the second to approach. "Don't worry, Jyarimon, we can help you find your partner. But you'll probably need to tell us where you think they might be, okay?".

Jyarimon's facial expression changed quite drastically as Luke tended to her, patting behind her ears. Her wail slowly died down until it became more of a 'purr', her fear and confusion having partially evaporated due to the kindness of the other digimon. She'd look up at the red haired holosuit digimon, her mouth twisted into a toothy smile, her mouth hanging open. All around her, the three individuals making up the group took turns speaking, asking questions to which she'd turn and look at each person asking them. Jyarimon blinked at Bellamy and Colin, a few of the words they spoke stuck with her but otherwise she'd cock her head to the side, not quite understanding what they were asking.
She'd tilt her gaze upward a little, sizing Colin up more than Bellamy as she was still getting used to seeing her first human. After being calmed down by Elecmon, she didn't necessarily feel the need to check whether or not he was hostile and bounced toward him. After stopping at his feet, Jyarimon would begin making sniffing like gestures with her tiny face. After doing this for a few moments, she backed off, a look of disappointment on her face. Her gaze quickly shifted to looking past Colin, where she could just make out a few individuals in the background hanging out.
"Partner!" she shouted, turning behind her to view Luke as she spoke, "Partner! Partner!". After more or less shouting as loudly as she was able, she'd turn around and begin hopping past Colin toward the other humans meandering about the park.
ooc: Thanks for joining up Spire! Go ahead and have Colin & Co. do whatever you'd like at this point, I'm mostly just trying to nail down some personality traits and get a bit of creative writing practice back in. : P

Luke chuckled as Jyarimon purred. Of the three of them, he tended to be most comfortable around babies. Probably his inner Elecmon shining through. Indeed, he felt a little nervous about speaking to digimon at a higher level than him.
Colin meanwhile reminisced about how he first met his partners, both of them greeting him at the Trailmon station in the digital world like they were long lost family. And... well... they did kinda feel like family these days. He smiled a little, hoping that he could be a part of someone else's digital world adventures in the same way that he was helped out by more experienced humans.
Then Jyarimon, seemingly easily distracted, bounced off past Colin toward some people in the park.
"Hey, wait, you can't just hop off by yourself!" Luke called after her.
"Evidently she can" said Bellamy.
"Not the time for loquacious wit, Bellamy" Luke chided his brother, standing up. "Come on, let's follow her"
And so Colin, Luke and Bellamy tried to keep up with the Jyarimon. She was surprisingly fast. Of course seeing three teenage boys chasing after a red ball wasn't that much of a spectacle so people didn't notice them that much.
"Huh, must be some new-fangled game the kids are playing these days" an old man muttered as they passed him sitting on a park bench. Colin, Luke and Bellamy didn't attempt to catch up with Jyarimon though, they hoped that she would be able to find her partner soon, and of course, they would be on hand to explain more to whoever it was, given that Jyarimon didn't seem to be able to talk much.

OOC: Sorry for the late reply! Had some trouble coming up with a response for Jyarimon. : P. Also if you wanna handle the old man's response go for it!
The small spherically shaped digimon bounced forward, the cold seemingly a none issue now that she'd had some attention paid to her. While the trio behind her would find it easy to keep up with her, she continued to make her way toward a duo standing near some playground equipment. A smaller boy around the age of seven was swinging, while a slightly older girl who looked maybe ten or so hung out on the opposite side, viewing something on her cell phone. Jyarimon would somehow happen to move to the side view of them, tilting her view at the two as she called out loudly.
"Partner! Partner?" the baby digimon announced, a questioning tone accompanying a sniffing of the air around her.
At this point the boy on the swing stopped, looking down at the small creature that looked alien to him. Curious, he walked over toward Jyarimon, who returned his gaze with a look of excitement. As the boy stooped down, merely a foot or two away from her, Jyarimon took a second sniff, her eyes closed to get a better sense of the humans around her. After a moment, her eyes opened again, her interest shifting to the girl who'd taken notice at this point. She was looking at Jyarimon with a quizzical look, as if she didn't know wether to scream or kick the small thing away.
"Is this a dinosaur?! Did we find a dinosaur?!" the little boy exclaimed, looking up at the older girl in amazement.
Jyarimon eyed the older of the two up and down for a few moments, a neutral look on her face. After what appeared to be a few seconds, she'd yawn, then turn around and begin bouncing toward an older man who'd taken a seat on a nearby bench. The boy and the girl stood there for a few moments, apparently unsure how to process their short yet unusual encounter.

Colin, Luke and Bellamy watched as Jyarimon approached a couple of children. Perhaps these were her partners? They watched as the little digimon sniffed up at them, but it seemed that they weren't the ones she was looking for. Luke meanwhile walked up to the kids.
"Er, sorry about that, it's just our new toy" he said. "It's a robot thing that acts like a baby pet. We're just testing it out in the park" he chuckled, hoping that was a suitable excuse.
Meanwhile Jyarimon bounced over to the old man that they passed earlier on the park bench. Colin cringed. Surely he couldn't be Jyarimon's partner? Even though Colin supposed there technically shouldn't be a reason why an old man can't have a digimon, he had never seen anyone over 20 in the digital world.
"Hm? What's this?" the old man asked as the red blob approached. He looked up at Colin, Luke and Bellamy. "Is this your toy?" he asked.
"Er, yes sir" said Colin, a little shyly. "It doesn't mean any harm"
"Hm. Amazing what they invent these days" the old man muttered. He didn't particularly pay much attention to Jyarimon. Colin hoped that she'd move on, this old man didn't seem interested in being a partner even if he was the right match.

Jyarimon's eyes would be glued to this old timer's face for a few moments before abruptly turning 180 degrees. Jyarimon's face took on a bold look as she began hopping away, toward the main walking path of the park. Every now and then she'd turn her face to see if the tamer and Digimon trio were still following her, but otherwise it seemed like she was making a beeline for the direct center of the road. Upon reaching the end of the grass, Jyarimon would come to an abrupt halt, turning around to face the three of them.
Loudly, the baby digimon shouted, "What partner?" in an innocent, yet inquisitive tone. At this point Jyarimon would be waiting for them to make a response, blinking as she'd shuffle around in the grass. After a few seconds, the baby digimon would hop around the small group, letting out small chuckles as she seemingly enjoyed herself.
OOC: So uhhh, sorry for the long wait Spire, twas busy doing quite a few things lately xP. I don't have a -ton- of ideas as to what Jyarimon would do at this point yet, so for now she's just meandering a bit. Feel free to introduce random npcs if you want though.

(OOC: That's okay, I'm having a lot of difficulty too. Do you plan on having Jyarimon meet her partner in this thread or in another one?)
So, it seemed the old guy wasn't Jyarimon's partner either. And so once again she bounced through the park, making passers-by look with curiosity and interest. In the end, however, Jyarimon simply bounced around them, asking 'what partner'? Colin and Bellamy didn't know how to respond.
"...what do we do now?" Bellamy asked. "I mean... if we can't find her partner here? We can't just leave her in the park"
"Well... we could take her home to our apartment" Colin said. "Give her a place to stay and make sure she's well fed, I mean"
"That might probably be for the best if that's the case" Luke said. However, he crouched down again, looking at the baby digimon. "Okay, Jyarimon, we're gonna need you to concentrate really hard, okay? Somewhere in this city is a human that'll mean something very, very special to you. We don't know who it is though, only you do. So with that in mind, do you know if there's anyone in this park that you feel a special bond with?" the Elecmon-turned-boy asked, smiling.

Jyarimon kept her gaze locked on the three, her small face adorning a naive smile. She didn't understand anything that they were talking about in their hushed tone, but at her age she couldn't have cared. Moving over toward Luke, Jyarimon would start to nuzzle his leg, seeing him as a "big brother" type figure due to his earlier kindness toward her. After a moment, she'd notice that the three of them had finished talking; backing up just a little to observe them. She blinked her eyes as Luke knelt down toward her.
As he spoke, Jyarimon's smile faded and was replaced with an inquisitive open mouthed expression. She didn't really comprehend all of what he was saying, but there were a few words that she rolled over in her head more than others. "S...spe....speci.....spicy.....special!" she exclaimed, a goofy looking smile on her face. However, that word seemed to resonate with the young digimon. She pursed her lips and looked at the blades of grass in front of her, trying to think of this 'someone' Luke had mentioned.
Her eyes lit up as an image seemed to come into view, to her she wasn't sure what to make of this human. He had a gray, almost white tinge to his hair, and he appeared weak and sickly, too thin for someone of his height. Jyarimon shivered in place as she thought more of this human, but she didn't feel as though he was anywhere close by. Jyarimon let out a sigh and looked back up at Luke. Her expression took on it's familiar juvenile like smile, "No here!" Jyarimon exclaimed, jumping in place.
OOC: I planned on having Jyarimon meet up with her tamer Drake later on, in maybe two more threads or so? If you want to she can tag along with Luke and the gang for a bit longer, whatever you prefer is fine with me. : P

Luke smiled and patted Jyarimon's head again as she nuzzled against his leg. He'd always go out of his way to be kind to baby digimon after all.
"Yep, Special" Luke said, nodding, hoping that if she concentrated hard, she'd be able to find the person she was looking for. Most unfortunately, however, her moment of concentration had led her to come to the conclusion that whoever her partner was, they weren't here.
"Aw. Well, that's okay" Luke said. He stood back up and nodded toward Colin, who approached, crouching down.
"Hey, Jyarimon, would you like to stay at my place for a little while?" he asked. "Until you can find your partner that is. You can keep warm, we'll give you food and look after you".
"...Will that be okay though?" Bellamy asked, a little concerned. "Your parents don't know about digimon yet do they?"
"Well, no... but my sister does" Colin said. "We can look after her together, then go on walks each day until we can find her partner".
The twins seemed content with this, so they awaited Jyarimon's consent. If so, then they'd take her back to Colin's apartment and get her acquainted with what would hopefully be a temporary home. Jyarimons eventually evolve into Guilmons after all, and they'd have a very hard time hiding her then.
(OOC:Sure. We can do another thread where they enter Colin's apartment if you like).

Jyarimon blinked in response to Colin, not quite understanding his offer. However, upon hearing the word food, her bodily senses seemed to kick in, a growl emanating from her small stomach. Her stature reflected this in an almost sunken state, her naive yet happy expression changing to a saddened look as her slimy like body sunk lower to the ground. She'd mumble for a few moments before trying to regain her composure, her recognition of hunger being a challenge to get over. "Food! Food food food!" she'd say excitedly, hopping up and down with a goofy smile returning to her face.
Aside from her mind being preoccupied by the promise of yummy treats, she was able to make out a few words spoken by Colin when he was addressing Bellamy. She took on a questioning look, mouthing the words out as she looked from Bellamy to Colin. "Sis....Sees...ter?" She spoke, tilting her head to the side, as if she wanted clarification. Her pointy ears would twitch a little as she waited for Luke to pick her up, indicating this by jumping upwards toward him. At this point, Jyarimon would yawn, her earlier activities in the digital world and her small time exploring in the human world making her very tired.
From here she'd nuzzle into Luke's arm, falling into a peaceful sleep.
[Exit]
OOC: Sounds good man. Would you prefer to make the thread, or should I start first?
