COCKADOODLEDOO!!! Trey's entire body flinched and his face scrunched up after hearing the sound of the rooster outside his window. Although it was the first time Trey had heard it today, it was probably the bird's third or fourth 'wake-up call'. "Stupid bird." He exclaimed as he extended his arms up and over his head into a full stretch, his bed covers falling off of him as he extended his full body. "Mum should have cooked you." He said relaxing his body, even though he knew the bird nor anyone else would be able to hear him. He laid there in bed for a moment, simply looking up at the ceiling and lowered one of his arms to his side while he used the other to comb his morning-bird-nest hair with his fingers. COCKADOODLEDOO!!! With a groan, Trey forced himself up into an upright position and looked around the room for a moment, rubbing the sleep out of his eye, one after the other. One thing he could always pride himself on was that he was a clean kid. His room was always tidy and if it did get dirty, it wouldn't stay that way for very long as he would normally clean his room once a week. His parents often said that he was a responsible young man but his brother would often say that it was obsessive and compulsive. Pulling himself out of the bed, Trey took a stride across the room in his grey tracksuit pants and walked out into the hallway. The house was almost dead quiet, the only sounds that could be heard were the ticking of the grandfather clock down the end of the hall and the creeks of the wooden floorboards beneath his feat. As he turned left down the hallway, he came to stop in a mid-step, opening his mouth as if to speak but stopping himself. He was about to call out for his mother and if he didn't get a reply, he would have called out to his father and then his brother Axel but he then remembered that they all had to go to work early this morning so Trey had the whole house to himself. A grin appeared on Trey's face as he quickly bent down and pulled off his tracksuit pants, throwing them over his shoulder and back into his bedroom. It was rare that he was ever home alone and what better way to spend his day than walking around the house completely naked? Trey continued down the hallway and into the kitchen where he approached the fridge to see a small sticky note attached reading: Mum and dad wont be home until 9pm, there are frozen meals defrosting on the bench. I will be home around 6pm - A. It was his brother's handwriting and after reading the note, he quickly scrunched it up and placed it in the small paper bin on the bench behind him, using this moment to check the time. "10:00am" There was a little bit of surprise in his voice as it was very rare for him to sleep anywhere beyond 8am. In saying that, the night before was a rather late one as it was his first gymnastics lesson and when on the way home on the train, forgot which station he had to get off at and had to walk two stations back to his house... He didn't get home until 11:45pm and his parents were deadly worried. It wasn't like Trey could call someone for help, he had only been in Tokyo for a little over two weeks, he didn't remember his families numbers yet and he didn't have a new phone either. The only thing he could remember was that his farm which he lived on backs up onto the Shibuki Forest. Trey turned back to the fridge and opened the door, taking note that the fridge light didn't turn on. Although the house wasn't awful, there were somethings that came with the house that needed... Replacing. Cockadoodledoo! The bird was one of those things that needed replacing. Sure, growing up on a farm he should be used to hearing a rooster in the morning, but back in Australia, they only had horses, cows, pigs and a cat. Animals that don't normally make all that much noise in the morning anyway. Looking in the fridge, Trey saw the frozen meals defrosting, although he couldn't tell exactly what they were, they looked like beef stroganoff from three nights ago. It wasn't bad, definitely better than what he could cook anyway. It was at this moment that Trey felt a breeze rise up... You know where and when he turned around, he found that one of the far windows in the lounge room was wide open. "Axel!" He exclaimed with distaste as he began to make a stride to the window, kicking his heel back to close the fridge door. Axel always slept with the window open in his bedroom but a couple of nights before, a leak broke out in his ceiling so Trey's older brother has been sleeping on the couch until the repair man comes later this afternoon.

Trey took hold of the doors to the window and pulled them closed while at the same time battling against the white curtains that kept fluttering around in his face and entangling him. He groaned a little before untangling himself and latched the lock on the window until it clicked, only to hear a slight thud from behind him. Within an instant, Trey turned around and braced himself, looking around the room for any signs of what made the thud sound. He was adamant that he wasn't imagining things, but the fact that he was home alone, in an old farm house, that made odd noises and the cliche opened window was not a good vibe to be given to a completely naked teenage boy home alone. "H-hello?" He called out softly, his voice a little raspy as if something was stuck in his throat. He paused for a moment, looking out to the rest of the house and then composed himself, shaking his head scoffing lightly. "Like anyone would answer me. I'm home alone, talking to myself... Which I should stop." He said adamantly before heading back across the lounge room and into the kitchen, only to open the fridge again. Peering inside the fridge, Trey reached inside and took out a large jug of what looked like orange juice and placed it on the counter behind him. He reached up and took out one of the glasses and like the jug, placed it down on the counter, using his free arm to close the cupboard. As soon as the cupboard closed, another thud could be heard. This time, Trey's entire body stiffened and he stood there frozen. He stood like this for what seemed like an entire minute and used this time to build up his courage to go investigate. Leaving the jug of orange juice and glass on the kitchen counter, Trey began to retrace his steps and when he had stepped back into the hallway, another thud could be heard and now Trey was absolutely certain that he wasn't hearing things and that the thud sound was coming from his bedroom. One foot after the other, Trey stepped carefully along the floorboards in order to make sure that none of them creaked too loudly in case they were to startle his intruder... Though it was an odd way of thinking about the situation since they were an intruder and that this was Trey's house. If anything, it was the intruder who should have been more silent. Trey crept up to his bedroom door and peered around the corner to see inside his room and at first pulled back hesitantly. He took a deep breath and poked his head around the corner again, but this time held himself there for a moment, only to see... Nothing. No one was in there, nothing. He stepped out from around the corner and then stepped into his room with an arched eyebrow and a confused expression. "I could have sworn..." He whispered to himself. Only for his eyes' attention to be drawn to two round objects, one on the end of his bed and the other on the floor beside it. "E-Eggs? I laid eggs!!!!?"

Trey turned around to look at his 'behind' in order to see an exit wound but couldn't find one, he had twirled around a few times while trying to do so, so when he finally went to turn his attention back to the situation, he found himself now facing out of his room into the hallway rather than at his bed. He quickly turned around to look at his room again and confirmed that there wasn't anyone else within the room, so it meant that the thud was likely the egg on the floor when it rolled off the bed. Trey took a few steps forward but managed to keep his distance, glancing over at the two eggs. The egg that was still on the bed was a light, blueish-white color with navy blue stripes while the egg on the floor was an orange color with the same navy blue stripes on it. The eggs themselves were quite large, a little bigger than a football or soccer ball. He took another step forward and just as his foot touched the ground, the orange egg on the floor bounced two centimeters off the ground which caused Trey to step back in surprise. "Well that explains why I heard more than just one thud." He said to himself. "Its alive..."Building up his confidence once again, Trey took another step forward, followed by another and then another until he was now practically standing over the two eggs. He noticed how the orange one was the one which moved around a lot while the blue egg remained still. "Maybe its a bad egg?" He said curiously as he poked it. Only to flinch back when he hears a mumbling coming from inside. "What the..." Trey looked at the two eggs for a moment longer, only to pick up the blue egg and hold it up in the air in front of him. He inspected it for a moment but moved on to pick up the orange egg as well, only as soon as he touched the orange egg while holding the blue one, the two eggs began to produce a rather bright, blinding light which forced Trey clench his eyes closed. Slowly opening his eyes so that they could adjust to the sudden bright shock, Trey could feel something squishy in his right hand and something wet, covering his left hand. As soon as his eyes adjusted, Trey found a little, pinkish-red thing sitting in the palm of his right and while in his left hand was completely engulfed in the mouth of the black one. "Hey! Let go!" He called out as he began to shake his left arm furiously in order to get the little black creature to let go... It didn't. It wasn't like it was painful or anything like that, it just felt gross. "Come on, let go!""Puni!" The little red one spoke which cause two things to happen. Trey to look at it in utter shock and the little black creature let go of his hand, dropping onto the bed and leaving Trey's left hand dripping wet with saliva. "Did-did you just talk?" He asked the little red creature that had three lumps on its head. "Puni." Trey whipped around and looked at the little black creature on his bed. "Can you talk too?" He asked, coming closer to it so that their faces were only a few inches apart. It was at this moment that the black creature opened its mouth a released several little pink bubbles into Trey's face. This shocked the boy and forced him to step back, waving his arms about in order to rid the bubbles from his face and not noticing that the little pinkish-red creature had already leaped out of his grasp and onto the bed beside the black one. Once the bubbles were gone, Trey looked at the two creatures on his bed which were now laughing uncontrollably and frowned. "What the hell did you just do?" He asked, though it was at this time that he realized that the two creatures were laughing at Trey's 'situation'. He looked down at himself, completely naked and reached for the nearest available object to cover himself which was the tracksuit pants he had taken off and thrown into the room before. He quickly threw his legs inside and pulled the pants on before turning his attention back to the two creatures. His face bright red and embarrassed. "What are you!?"

Trey looked at the two creatures on his bed but neither one answered his questions, instead the two of them seemed to be conversing with one another, the red one frowning and kind of disciplining the black one. "Puni-puni puni... Punimon!" The black one responded with a few words. "Bota, Bota, Bota!" Was all it said before finally poking its tongue out and bouncing over to the other side of the room onto the wardrobe, taking a look at its reflection within the Trey's various gymnastic trophies and medals displayed. Trey was obviously confused about the situation and looked back to the little red creature which seemed to be the more reasonable of the two. "At least you didn't swallow my hand." He stated, watching as the little creature dropped down from the bed and bounced lightly over to Trey's side, rubbing its little red cheeks against the boy's ankle. "Are you trying to tell me that you are kind?" Trey looked down and the little red thing looked up with a smile, an obvious 'yes'. Trey was just about to probe the little red creature for some form of information but before he could answer... One, two and three grumbling sounds came from three different stomachs at the same time. It was evident that the creatures were hungry, so was Trey. "Good thing I didn't hear my stomach grumble before you guys appeared, I might have tried to cook those eggs." He said, turning and walking out of the room. The two creatures had an utter look of shock on their faces where they heard this but followed Trey out of the room, bouncing behind him as he entered the kitchen and opened the fridge. The little red one followed into the kitchen and bounced up onto the counter while the little black one bounced out onto the dining room table between the kitchen and the lounge room. "Lets see, food..." Trey took another mental note of the frozen meals in the fridge but turned his attention to the fruit platter that had been made late last night. Trey didn't have enough time to make himself some dinner after missing his train stop and walking home so when he got home he simply cut up some fruit which he figured was still okay. He reached inside, taking the platter out and then walked out of the kitchen. The little red creature followed eagerly and joined the black one on the dining room table. "Here..." Trey said, placing the platter on the table. The two little bouncy balls looked at the fruit for a moment, sniffed it before each practically diving in. Trey was a little reluctant at first, worried that he might lose an arm but eventually reached into the food mess and pulled out a slice of kiwi fruit and a slice of apple. "Oh right!" He said, with the fruit in his mouth as he turned around and headed back into the kitchen, almost forgetting the glass and orange juice. Stepping into the kitchen, Trey reached up to the overhead cupboard again and took out another two glasses and two straws, then took the glass off the counter and stacked all three on top of each other to carry them and the jug of orange juice back out to the dining room with ease. Only when he returned, he almost dropped everything in shock.

"What the... You changed! You're different!" Trey stated in surprise, unable to close his mouth as he stood there staring at them while juggling the glasses, straws and jug of orange juice. "Actually..." The fury creature with the horn was the one who responded. "The correct term is Digivolve. We Digivolved." CLINK, CRASH AND SHATTER!!! Trey accidentally dropped the glass and jug of orange juice to the floor which shattered into hundreds of broken little pieces, orange juice spilled everywhere and began to seep through the cracks of the floorboards while Trey just stared at the horned creature, mouth open wide, bug-eyed and in shock. "Y-you just talked! You talked language." Looks like Trey's own language wasn't actually connected to his mouth and wasn't forming proper sentences. "Right." The pink long-eared one spoke this time which caused Trey to repeatedly keep blinking in order to gain control of his body and actually move. "What is going on here?" Trey rubbed his eyes a bit as if he was trying to make sure he wasn't dreaming. The first two creatures were hard enough for him to believe but now they where different and it wasn't like they had a sudden growth spurt. They literally took a whole new form. "I need to sit down." Trey stated, reaching out and taking the nearest available chair and slumping himself into it. The pink creature proceeded to stuff his face full of fruit but the one with the horn and fur turned its attention to Trey and spoke with a relatively calming voice. "Breath... Allow me to explain." He stated, making a slight bounce forward so that he was now closer to Trey and didn't have to talk across the table. "First of all, allow me to introduce myself." Trey put his face into his palms and rubbed his face a little before separating his fingers so that he could look at the fury guy through them. "As you might have guessed, I am not exactly a normal creature you would find in your world and neither is my brother. To be more specific, we are in full called 'Digital Monsters' or 'Digimon' for short. However, you may refer to me specifically by 'Tsunomon' or perhaps you would like to give me a name?" Indicating with his horn to the pink creature, he continued. "That guy over there, incapable of actual intellect is known as Koromon but again, you may give him another name if you wish." There was a glaring look between the two self proclaimed brother for a moment there but then the two of them turned their attention back to what they were doing. "Digital Monsters... Digimon for short... Are you following?" Tsunomon asked, looking up at the human who still had his face in his hands but all Trey did was nod within his hands. "Good! I can't explain the exact reason as to why we are here. We don't even have the answer to that ourselves but what I can tell you is that we have been waiting for you." Those words sounded strange within Trey's ears and the result had Trey lower his hands from his face. "Waiting for me?" Both Digimon nodded but it was Koromon with half a piece of watermelon in his mouth that spoke now. "Ah-huh. We don't know how long for or why but all we know is that a boy named Trey will be our partner." Trey raised an eyebrow at both of the Digimon in front of him, some of the information they had spoke of made sense such as not being of this world, or being called Digital Monsters. Sure it wasn't exactly believable but it was plausible. Even Trey didn't know what was really out the in the universe. "I don't get how we are meant to be partners though... Why me? Why are you asking me to give you names?" Tsunomon looked at the human and understood where he was coming from, it was a lot of information to be taking in but also it wasn't like they were given a manual on how to deal with this situation. Then it suddenly hit him. "Wait..." Tsunomon exclaimed, looking around before continuing. "The device."Trey raised an eyebrow but before he could ask anything, both Koromon and Tsunomon bounced off the table and up the hall and back into Trey's bedroom. " H-hey, wait up!" He called, getting up out of his seat to follow them. When he caught up and stepped inside, he found the two Digimon sitting on his bed and in between them was a strange looking device that reminded him a little of the old tamagotchi devices that used to be popular when he was a kid. " What in the world is that?" He asked as he approached to take a closer look. The device was a light blueish-grey color, the buttons on it were an orange color and navy blue tiger stripes covered it in separated clusters. These were the same colors and markings of the eggs the two Digimon came from. "Its called a Digivice." Koromon stated. "And it is proof that you are our partner." Tsunomon explained. Trey looked from the device to the two Digimon and then back to the Digivice again. "Partner?" Both Digimon nodded. "With you by our side, we will grow stronger and can protect you and those you care about from the coming evil." Although it was a talking point, Trey chose to ignore the comment of the 'coming evil' as he subconsciously didn't think he would be able to cope with too much information. "It also means, they we will be your best friends for life."Trey reached forward and lightly touched the device, but before he could pick it up, a bright light shot up and out of the screen that was almost blinding, but at the same time, warm. "See... Its yours, so take it and lets be friends." Trey wanted to resist, this was all a lot to take in but the thought of actually having friends was too powerful. It was something that he had been longing for, since his brother stopped being nice to him. He held back his tears and took hold of the Digivice within his hand, the light diminishing almost instantly. "Well if we are going to be friends, I guess I better give you names." The two Digimon looked up in anticipation as they watched their partner place the Digivice into the pocket of his tracksuit pants... This all would have looked very epic if he wasn't just wearing a pair of tracksuit pants, barefooted and shirtless. "Pink guy... You are Bulk... Fury guy, you are Skull." The two Digimon smiled and nodded as Trey looked down at them and smiled. "And I am Trey!"
