Since entering the Digital World, Lissa has had many chances to prove her heroic attitude and spirit is not an act or a persona. It is an actual, faithful representation of Lissa’s personality. That was the very reason, she has already made so many friends like her partner, VeeVee. Not to mention all those Lissa has saved, helped or assisted whilst in the digital world. The Candlemon whom she saved from the trouble from the accidental digivolution into Meramon and the menace of the Gorillamon thief. All of that changed, suddenly. When another hero came to town.
It was calm, there was no problems to speak of. The weather seemed to agree with them too as beams of sunlight shot through the thin layer of cotton white clouds and down onto the metallic roofs of the familiar town. The town had quickly recovered from the problems caused by Meramon, all the damage was quickly repaired and the town became closer as a result. All the residents banded together to fix the roads, roofs and buildings that had collapsed or burned. Lissa had given all her assistance too but she could only do so much for the town. Most of the houses were built for creatures half her size which made it challenging to assist too much. Why did it always seem when it was the brightest, it always falls back into darkness just as quick.
It all happened later that night. The terrible echo of metal being torn up awakened the residents of the town. As expected, the Candlemon panicked and run from their homes and huddled in the courtyard. When Lissa managed to free herself from the tiny inn which she stayed in over night, she saw what they were all looking up at. It was at least ten foot tall, looking like an oversized dinosaur scaled with a darkened hardened skin complete long white claws. Long flecks of spit dangled from its even longer fangs. It roared and without any further hesitation, it slammed its claw down onto one of the metal roof and opened it as easily as a tuna can. “That’s enough! Ready VeeVee?”
VeeVee nodded and then ran forward; Lissa’s D3 lit up with a bright light which overcame Veemon’s body. “Digi-Armor Energize” When the light faded, Flamedramon stood in Veemon’s place. Plates of shimmering armour across his body. He jumped and his entire body lit up with a burning aura of fire. “Try this on for size. Knuckle Fire!” Several fire balls shot from the ends of the claws on the gauntlet and struck the DarkTyrannomon in the chest. It seemed to do little as it merely roared again and swiped blindly at VeeVee.
In the meantime, Lissa has set one of the older Candlemon up with the job of helping all of the residents away from the courtyard and to safety. This was more trouble than expected as they refused to move until the terrible dinosaur stepped so close to the group, it wasn’t even funny. “Everyone, away. Everyone to safety. Come on, come on!"
“Now, how about this then, ugly. How do you like your Tyrannomon, flame-broiled or grilled. Flame Shot!” Diving down, the aura returned so he appeared more like a meteor than a digimon. Again, he struck the Dinosaur in the chest which forced it back a little. At that very second, Lissa jumped down from the tallest building and with a fierce kick struck the dinosaur in the face. “Justice Kick, time for you!” Again, it seemed to do little to deter the massive dinosaur monster. It roared again and spit out a spray of fire which landed on the metallic rooftops so they sizzled nastily under the heat.
“Okay, plan B!” Lissa called to VeeVee. He turned to look at Lissa, “What is that, anyway?”
“I’ll let you know, when I come up with it!” Lissa ran from rooftop to rooftop as the dinosaur began to target her exclusively. It continued to sweep its massive claws against the rooftop and spinning so its tail slammed into the buildings. “Smoke, go!” A cloud of smoke shot from wicks of the Candlemon who remained, clouding the village in a thick blanket and blocking her from view. “Thanks,” she called to the Candlemon as she jumped down and hit behind one of the metal buildings. Quite suddenly, the sounds of roaring, clawing and slamming stopped abruptly. Lissa peered out to see Flamedramon sprawled in a crater that seemed to have been made by the DarkTyrannomon’s feet. Running over to him, she put her hand onto his shoulder and smiled, “You did it! As always. I knew you would!”
After a moment, he opened his eyes and said slowly, “Did what?” Lissa tilted her head in confusion and pointed to the place the DarkTyrannomon had been. “You beat it, right?” VeeVee shook his head as a light shot from his body back to her D-Terminal as he turned back into Veemon. “I didn’t do a thing, he was crushing me and I had no chance to move.”
Lissa turned to the Candlemon who was still pushing his fellow villagers around in his back of one of the huts.
“DarkTyrannomon aren’t known for their brains so I doubt it would have retreated so hastily. Especially as it was clearly most victorious.” Lissa nodded sadly at the Elder’s words and looked to VeeVee. “We were out mat–” She cut herself of suddenly. As someone walked close up to them. Someone very familiar. They had bright blue hair, a pair of goggles which hid her equally as bright blue eyes. A wide smirk was crossing her face, however. “It’s like a mirror. An exact copy. Woah,” The Candlemon Elder said in a rather confused manner. “Lissa? Is that you?” VeeVee looked from one to the other, trying to differentiate them from each other but they were mirror images of each other. “I – the real Lissa saved you from the menace of the DarkTyrannomon. I’m the Hero!”
Lissa looked on in complete confusion. With a gloved finger, the other Lissa pointed at her and said, “That is an imposter. She failed to defeat the threat unlike the real Lissa, would have done!”
All of the Candlemon turned to face her, their faces curled up in anger and distrust. A scatter of muttering crossed through the crowd. “I’m sorry but not Lissa. I must ask that you leave immediately.” VeeVee merely stood and didn’t move between the two. “Fine, I’ll go. Are you coming VeeVee?” Lissa said coldly. VeeVee didn’t look at Lissa but shook his head. Without another thought, she turned and left on her own; out into the dangers of the Digital World alone.
The other Lissa stayed in the inn with the Candlemon and threw a large party in honour of the victory against of the DarkTyrannomon. They partied all night, only stopping in the early hours of the morning. VeeVee sat watching Lissa, unsure. Again he went silent for a few minutes. In the meantime, VeeVee moved closer to the other Lissa and pulled on her leg to get her attention. “I was wondering, what was your catchphrase, again?”
The other Lissa who second before had been in a deep conversation with the Candlemon Elder, fell silent “I’m a hero...” she said slowly. “You are a fake, I knew it!” VeeVee jumped back from the not-Lissa. Suddenly, the strange interference began to fade and then disappeared fully. This left the form of the not-Lissa fully revealed. A green-armored warrior with a body made from mirrors. At least it had one in its chest plate and another two on its arms which served as large shields. “D-Drat. They saw though me. Damn you.” The Digimon moved backwards until his back faced the wall. VeeVee moved forward growling nastily. “You made me upset my best friend now I’m going to crush you into the floor.” His body seemed to be engulfed in flames even though he wasn’t even in his armor form. He leapt forward like a rocket. “Vee-Headbutt”
“I don’t think so, somehow,” the Digimon smirked and held up one of his shield-sized mirrors which instantly reflected the attack and sent VeeVee flying backwards. “Now, now. No need to be rash. I already defeated your friend now you’re to follow...”
“JUUUUUUSTICE KICK,” out of nowhere, the real Lissa appeared – leaping up and delivering a kick right between the shields and into the face of the digimon which made it recoil in horror. “You…you...” What they were was quickly dropped due to the fact that everyone in the room was glaring daggers at Mercurymon, “I-I’ll be back for the honour of Mad Regulus. I’ll harvest all your fears...girl.” Then a cloud of smoke appeared and Mercurymon was gone. “I’m sorry Lissa. I didn’t mean to...” VeeVee said slowly, looking up at Lissa. She smiled and shook her head, “I knew you wouldn’t really leave my side. I was waiting for you to realize.”
“Our friendship is eternal, okay?”
