(OOC: This is a serious RP thread involving MAJOR plots and the Hakainushi. I understand that some people may try to invade and that my character may be killed. However, upon entering you also have to realize your character has a chance of dying as well. You are fighting terrorists and we will try to kill you. Thank you.)
"Location?" Network plains. If a word could describe this area it would be ravaged. "Check." The plains still had visible scaring from their old owner. Two years of peace were not enough for the code to recover from the extend of damage the Digimon known as Giygas had inflicted on it. "Schematics?" The emperor, or tyrant as many have come to call him, of the metal empire used to rule the entire area around Terminus through an underground base, one he promptly destroyed when the Hakainushi had it's first fall to conceal his own, and to an extend the group's, machinations. The explosion had killed most Digimon living there, but it would seem that a few of them repopulated the area, probably not realizing that the one they feared the most had returned. The Vandermon stretched a grin across his face, his thin, needle like teeth showing "Check."
With the Cliffs of Chaos and the Valley of Dragons claimed by the Hakainushi, Network Plains remained. Well, that and that other place th mechanized chimera was unsure of. Giygas wasn't exactly focused on anything than this operation for the past month or so, so naturally some things escaped him. Much like a child rushing to open it's gifts on Christmas morning, the Vandermon could barely contain himself as he visualized his Utopia suspended in the air, casting the shadow of progress to those below and showing them the glory of the metal empire and more importantly it's king. "Materials?" Some choose to glorify themselves by means of a statue, others liked to give speeches and some simply laid back and enjoyed the praise they received. The mechanized chimera was fairly subtle so he decided to build a massive, floating city and include all three plus more. "Check."
The plan was anything but simple, but it was the most effective the most effective the scientist could come up with. The first phase was to collecting the material and the first few lucky residents. Then of course they would have to secure the area and finally deploy the city. Afterwards Giygas assumed he would share a couple of pamphlets in Terminus and let the night sky and the lights of his city do the rest. Of course that would imply that no one would interrupt his little project, which by this point and three areas down was a given. No one had the guts to mess with Hakainushi and starting now would simply serve as a grim reminder of who used to, runs and will run the Digital World. The chimera had made sure that all higher ups were available to assist him immediately had someone tried to attack him.
"Building permit?" Giygas mused to himself, the list of checks he had nearly over. At that moment his tail split apart, revealing a futuristic artillery canon muzzle as well as two sharp blades, several gun ports opened on top of his wrists as with a thundering boom hidden, electrified blades extended him both his wrists and elbows. Finally, his royal scope, serving as his left eye, took a bright, red glow. "I don't need a building permit, but check anyvay." Now all he had to do was wait.

"You left me all alone on the Cliffs, Giygas. I am disappointed."
Arriving somewhat prematurely, Iscarimon slithered from a crevasse in the ground. The traitor's head rose from the soil like a snake, taking an initial look at Giygas before plunging back beneath the surface. He reemerged a moment later, taking his usual shape and fashioning a dirt-clad seat next to his fellow lieutenant. Would Giygas recognize him? In this form, few recognized him as a Biomerge Digimon. He looked nothing like Zeromon or Akari, taking only slightly after Nemesismon. Scanners were not effective, for his name was his most closely guarded secret. Of course, Giygas would be allowed to know. In fact, Iscarimon hope that he knew already, having made the deduction on his own. This was a club of openness, even when one possessed an alternate identity deep inside of them. Zeromon wouldn't tell.
Glancing around, the corrupt paladin made note of his surroundings. It was terribly boring. Plain plains. Easy to survey, however. He could see why Giygas had such big plans for this area: it was dull and poorly travelled as of late. At this point Iscarimon began thinking about his own plans. What could he do to improve the Cliffs? Besides his impaling spikes, he didn't really have a plan. That was a damn shame. Borderline frustrating for him, actually. Giygas' complicated schematics made him realize he would have to go much simpler. After all, he was guest to the Dark Area; the surroundings spoke for themselves. Perhaps a spire or a monolith would serve him well. A plank on the cliff's edge would amuse him: the prospect of pushing an unsuspecting victim into the pit of spikes below gave him a feeling of utter joy. Then again, he was sitting next to a mechanic. Maybe he could help.
"I see you are somewhat of an architect" he said casually. Iscarimon playfully raised his right leg and crossed it over his ankle. He placed his hands upon his lap, giving the position of his body a demure quality. There was nothing demure about his dead eyes, though. Despite any expression, they remained serious, glowing with malevolent intent.

The researcher narrowed his eyes at the new arrival, ears raising slightly as he remained still, expressionless. His left eye made a soft, clicking noise as the lens twisted and took on a bright red glow. That was odd. Usually the Royal Scope would calculate the data of the chimera's opponents in a split second but for some reason it wasn't giving him any information. Giygas gritted his teeth for a moment, trying to mask his frustration. Letting his uninvited guest know he was annoyed was the fist step towards defeat after all. Instead, the Vandermon simply put on a sly grin, stretching it across his face to reveal his thin, needle like teeth as he crossed his arms behind his back.
"Ze cliffs you say?" The would be owner of the Plains paused for a moment, his single eye looking up as he pondered. The Cliffs of Chaos were Hakainushi property as of late, specifically Akari's area. "Hmm... oh. Looking sharp zer, Nullmon." Giygas would eventually bark, chuckling to himself, hopping he had made the right guess. After all, only Daichi and Akari were on the Cliffs during that time and given the fact that no one tried to fight him yet the new Digimon was Zeromon. The mechanized Chimera couldn't see Akari, but he wasn't worried. At the time the thought of a Biomerge didn't cross his mind. "And yet you came here to help me. Excited for the future are vi?" In all honesty Giygas expected to have some competition during his take over due to being so close to Terminus, so any help was more than welcome.
"Vell, not to brag, but I've had zis in the vorks fer a bit." The city had taken years to plan and Giygas still had to several calculations on the go to keep something so massive suspended and find ways to combat motion sickness and the temperatures and gusts the city would be subjected too. Luckily the scientist had already found away around all of this. "It vill be glorious. A true Utopia." The mechanized chimera bragged, eying the strange Digimon ahead of him. "But, enough about me. How is your area coming along? Is everything under control, or vould you like me to assist you after I am done?" The Vandermon would be more than happy to put his scrapped area ideas to good use.

"So you have some awareness. Good" Iscarimon replied. The ivory menace stood up and gave his 'chair' a light nudge, causing it to melt back into the earth from whence it came. He circled for a bit, giving himself some time to add to the conversation. Help? He didn't like that word. Help was for the weak. Iscarimon liked to think of it more as...insurance. Two exceptionally powerful Super Mega Digimon didn't exactly need each other. If anything, they had a symbiotic relationship to maintain. On Giygas' end, Iscarimon hoped that he could maintain a bit of anonymity. The world wasn't ready for the real him. Not just yet. For now, he would let Zeromon and Akari have a bit of freedom before he took it all away.
"I have no plans as of yet. My machine is still under construction" he went on, grinning. If this wasn't an invitation to a super villain sleepover, Iscarimon didn't know what it was. Truth be told, his abode was non-existent. Well, in the traditional sense, anyway. He was building a massive Digimon - one that could house all of them. It was probably smaller in scale compared to Giygas' project - perhaps a little understated - but it would be completely mobile, meaning Iscarimon could tow his army anywhere he wanted. Maybe Giygas wanted one too? Of course, it was still very much in the midst of building. Iscarimon had to 'revive' it. He suspected he would require guidance in that regard.

Giygas shot his ally an unamused look before cracking him a rather mocking grin. "No no, don't zink of me as much. I have a short attention span ven it comes to organics." He simply spat out, redirecting his attention towards his wrist mounted canons to emphasize his point. The scientist had also been the organizations top strategist amongst other things. Years of correcting his flaws and learned from others have served to culture him into a master tactician. Zeromon was no exception. Even a fool could see that he was no longer the whimpering coward he once was. The creature eyed his ally for a moment. He had grown, but it was nowhere near the evolution the Vandermon had achieved.
"You?! You vill build it?!" Apparently the Hakainushi had more than one engineer now. "Don't take my job now. Tell you vat; if you are obedient enough I vill take time off my busy schedule and fine tune it for you. Nyehehe!" Giygas mocked. He was perhaps the brightest mind when it came to machines. Hopefully Zeromon realized this. "Ze city... vill be glorious. It vill be master piece... vat I worked at for so long. Of course, you are invited to see it happen." The Vandermon paused, taking a moment to enjoy the image of his master piece before shifting the conversation entirely.
"I figured zer vould be more people opposing me." Indeed, why was Terminus not taking action against this? Were they mocking him? Giygas wasn't mad, in all honesty he was glad things turned out this way. He could only imagine how the leaders of Terminus would feel when they discovered that by not stopping him while he could still be stopped they doomed the entire area of the Digital Core. Well, it wouldn't matter anyway. Even if they came the Mechanized Chimera was ready to crush them. Still, it was a bummer he wouldn't get to spill blood for the city. "Mmm... vere is Akari?" He asked, unaware of the biomerge.

"You show such dismay for anything that is not a machine, yet you have married the living and the dead, have you not?" he inquired. By 'dead', he of course meant the natural state of machinery: that it was not born. Machines were programmed. They did not have hearts or souls. They were perfect, yet totally flawed. A beast guided by instinct had more power but it was the machine that knew how to use it and to greatest effect. Having something in the middle really was best. Based on Giygas' appearance, Iscarimon wondered if his comrade was trying to upgrade himself out of an organic body. It was plausible in the Digital World. The virus that had infected the pale knight was somewhat on its way to doing that, as well.
Iscarimon smiled. Though no expression was visible beneath the surface of his helmet, the glee in his eyes was apparent. He really was looking forward to this project. Giygas' undertaking certainly interested him as well. A floating city? This would be far larger than what he had planned. Then again, his little plan went back to that discussion about machine hybrids. This Digimon he was in the midst of designing fell under that category. "I am from another time. My skills are not well adapted. I have learned from the human world. The many wars they have endured. Glorious. I will fashion my beast after that. Perhaps he will guard your city...for a price." His comment was made in jest. He chuckled quietly. He went on, "Your guidance may be required. Though my project is small, it is not understated. As recompense, I will use my talents to see the rise of your city and guard your empire when needed."
For such a malevolent Digimon, he was beginning to sound like a nice guy. The politeness. The grandiose vocabulary. But Iscarimon was more complicated than he appeared. He certainly had no intention of betraying Giygas, yet maintaining tabs - even on one's closest allies - was still a priority. The Great Traitor had himself been betrayed on a number of occasions. Then again, fi there was one thing he could remain loyal to, it was evil. Giygas certainly leaned towards that end of the spectrum.
"She is here." 'Imprisoned.'

Giygas narrowed his single eye at Zeromon. Akari was there yet he couldn't sense her? Ah, but of course; biomerge. The mechanized chimera chuckled to himslef, clapping in a slow, rather mocking tone for a while as a wide grin stretched across his face. She was there, yet Zeromon had managed to supress her somehow. The whim had managed to gain some control over his master. The Vandermon was rather amused by this. Perhaps his ally was not as useless as he had originally though. Then again, as the emperor would say, even the most spineless of Digimon could achieve greatness if they were pushed towards it. He was no exception himself. The once weak Blackgatomon had achieved power beyond the one he had dreamed of.
"Zeromon." The Digmon barked, arms crossing behind his back once more, giving him a rather proud posture. "I've noticed you have... changed. For ze better." Despite what he through, Giygas knew better than to start boosting Zeromon's vanity right away. He would merely hint his apporoval for now, but keep it vague enough in hopes of his old underling working harder. "Keep it up and you might just earn my respect. I mean, sure, you aren't the shuddering vermin you were when we first met, but you are still a vermin non ze less when compared to me." Harsh words, but the Vandermon wasn't running a counselling service. "I never quite understood Biomerge. I understand it in zeory, but I could never stimulate the feeling I'm afraid. Do your minds merge? How does it feel? Can Akari hear me?" The scientist rumbled, completely drifting from his previous topic.
"Oh and as for protecting the city?" A rather sly smile flashed across Giygas's face for a moment. "I wouldn't vorry about zat. Ze city is... impermeable you see." The chimera paused to nod at his words for a bit and to possibly savour a reaction Zeromon before resuming. "You can ask ze details later. I'd rather show you, but know that it cannot be destroyed from the outside, and sadly for anyone vu opposes me; inside the city my word will be ze law." The Vandermon couldn't help it anymore. He didn't exactly brief Zeromon in on his plans for the city, but he knew them full well, and that thought alone was enough to drive him into a fit of hysteric laughter as a device in his arm made a soft, beeping noise. "Zehahahaha! About fucking time. I've managed to calculate ze code for zis shithole! Area secure!" Finally, the building could begin.

The pale knight tilted his head in curiosity. Giygas didn't sound too enthusiastic about humans. Iscarimon could see why, though. Having probed his hosts' minds before, he understood Zeromon's pain. He wondered if Giygas had experienced something similar. So much pain and suffering would drive any Digimon away from its partner. Humans were the weaker species. They couldn't evolve, they didn't have any special powers and, most importantly, they couldn't be reconfigured. The only advantage humans possessed over Digimon was their composition: they weren't data, they were real in the truest sense of the word. If the online world, or the technological world, or whatever you wanted to call it, was destroyed, Digimon would no longer exist. Not unless they transcended their digital forms. Their immortality would be forfeited upon that decision, though, putting them back at square one. Iscarimon would make damn sure he kept his world alive, if only to preserve himself. It didn't mean, however, that he wouldn't consider invading the human world. Amassing power meant he could do the unthinkable or the unimaginable. Maybe, just maybe, he could achieve a perfect existence.
"My hosts allow me to flourish, though I am a latent virus within my Digimon's data stream. Do you want to see?" he inquired. Iscarimon extended one of his arms and offered Giygas his hand. The sheen on his armour seemed to fade a little as his defences dropped, allowing his ally to make contact without being burned. The virus' antibodies normally attacked anyone who came in contact with him, unless he bade them not to. An interesting side effect to his poisonous skin, though, was that each antibody contained a memory, allowing those he touched to get a sneak peak into his mind. If Giygas really wanted to get a good idea of how he worked, this would be the way to go.
Should Giygas have come forward, he would find himself forced directly into Iscarimon's mind. There, he would see Zeromon and Akari's spirits, both bound by the shackles of the corruptive force taking over them. This wouldn't be recognized as a normal Biomerge, it would be seen as a takeover. The two of them were forced together by Iscarimon's will and he manipulated them effortlessly like a puppet master toying with a marionette. Zeromon would seem at ease with the situation, allowing his body to relax despite the difficult situation. On the other hand, Akari would be seen struggling violently in a bid to defeat the invading force, only to find herself subdued by its power. "Hi, Giygas. I suppose you'll look down on me again for this, won't you? It's cool. At least I'm having fun" Zeromon would say, managing a weak smile. In the following moments, Akari's scream would fill Giyga's head, sending him away.
The human wail was a horrible thing (even worse than chameleon GIF's). Iscarimon heard it all the time. He relished it. He drew power from it. He was made of fear and loathing and those sentiments only made him stronger. He wondered how Giygas felt, knowing he'd given him the opportunity to see what was going on. Would he find it repulsive? Impressive? Pathetic? Disgusting? Most adjectives that came to the paladin's mind were negative. It didn't bother him in the slightest. "In control." Yes, this place was more than secure. Just like the maximum security prison inside his head.

"Sure, vi not?" Giygas didn't see much harm in taking up on the offer to peer inside the Digimon's mind. It was no secret that something like that was very intriguing for the Vandermon. Although some would be quick to judge his boldness as foolishness, the scientist didn't take the offer blindly. He trusted his ability to retaliate against a possible trap. With that thought a grin stretched across his face, the chimera placed a hand against the Biomerge's.
What followed was rather disorientating at first, but the Vandermon kept his cool. He observed solemnly, his expressions frozen, almost like he was wearing a mask. Even when he saw Akari and Zeromon struggle he remained expressionless. Could he help them? Should help help them? Several thoughts raced through his mind as he looked down on Zeromon, assuming that was possible with a mental image, before an ear piercing screech shattered it. Giygas took a step back, dusting himself casually as if he had taken a fall. His eyes were fixed on the ground, mechanical eye zooming in for a moment.
"Mmm, I see how it is." The scientist mumbled hastily, raising his head. "You are made up from Zeromon and Akari, yet you are neither. Zat vould explain a couple of zings." At that point a single hand, his more mechanized one went behind his back, fingers folding to imitate a pistol. "Zat was an amusing sight you've shovn me." His single eye narrowed into a glare. "But! Can I trust you if you aren't my ally?" He would suddenly bark, lashing his concealed arm at the Digimon before him, a bright, incredibly fast moving laser shooting out of his finger tips, hand still folded like a make shift pistol. "Accelerated Microwave Laser!"

Point blank shot.
Iscarimon took the brunt of the laser through his shoulder. The move ripped through his flesh like a knife, causing his skin to part dramatically. A blueish fluid spilled out, trickling down the length of his body. If this was blood, it wasn't the regular sort. Knowing it was just the contents of his contaminated form, the paladin shrugged off the pain, not having once taken a glimpse at the damage dealt. His expression didn't change, nor did his stance. He simply allowed himself to get blown apart without any reaction at all. He wasn't omnipotent, yet he held no fear of death. "I am known as the Traitor. Trust my rage" the knight replied.
If Giygas was still listening, he would hear the lingering voices of his former allies. "Take it at face value" Zeromon insisted. Akari screamed again, filling her invader's ears with a noise he enjoyed.
Without further delay, Iscarimon repaired his affliction with a gentle touch of his finger. The wound seemed to practically jump to life as his broken skin was forcibly sewn back together, removing any trace of damage. He could only use Zero Hour a few times per battle, so going through the motions of actually bothering to heal himself was showing Giygas that he had his respect. He no longer had to test his ally's resolve or his power. It was there. The pain was horrendous. Well, at least for Akari. She would feel the brunt of it.

The emperor paused for a moment to enjoy his work. It didn't bother him that the paladin had not been phased despite the attack doing a number on him. Giygas possessed several weapons to leave an impression if he wanted to, but it would seem like the gesture was understood. This new form that Zeromon had assumed, complete with the virus holding the duo down was powerful and sadly for it there was only one way to keep someone powerful in check; establishment of dominance. The Vandermon had been the top shark of the plains for as long as he could remember. That wasn't about to change any time soon. "Wunderbar." Came a cold, dry form of praise as the mechanized chimera crossed his arms. "I vould be a shame if you didn't get my message, but it seems like we're communicating very vell." Giygas didn't exactly wish to fight. Not at the moment at least. "Zis is my area. I vould share, but zis is ze byproduct of me wanting to make something better. With hookers and blackjack at zat." He cracked a cold joke at last moment. "Right. I need to get to get ze building started. Be a dear and fetch me a new pack of smokes." It would seem that Daichi's habit had rubbed off on the Vandermon, something odd considering he was immune to addiction. The Network Plains had fallen to Giygas. Just like that, with no opposition what so ever. The Digimon residents of the Plains and Terminus City would go to bed that night thinking that nothing had changed, but come the morning they would realize that their lives would be forever altered. The freedom they once knew would be replaced and their new king would be waiting for them to kneel. One way or another. [AREA CLAIMED]

"I would be an ungracious guest to assume otherwise" Iscarimon replied, content. 'Your arrogance will be your undoing' his mind added. He wasn't thinking about killing Giygas, merely that if the King of the Metal Empire did fall, it would be because he underestimated an opponent. If there was one thing Iscarimon was good at besides betrayal, it was acknowledging power. He knew he had some, and yet others did as well. He could be the most physically intimidating Digimon in the universe. It didn't matter. He could still die. By some chance of fate, or assembly, he could have to start over again. Just because he acknowledged his fallibility, however, didn't mean that he was afraid of it. He knew all about bending the truth, making things seem like something they're not. When it came to the unbridled truth, though, Iscarimon understood it better than anything. Giygas would have to realize that despite his claims, he could not be perfect, and there was no one who could educate him on that subject except his conscience.
'You sound like a philosopher' Zeromon quipped. 'I have lived for a long time.' 'If pure evil knows it can die, then why doesn't it retire?' 'Because a life without purpose is meaningless.'
Clapping his hands together, Iscarimon realized that his work here was done. Much to his displeasure, he had been the only guest to arrive, making his comrade's conquest as easy as his own. With two areas conquered and multiple bases of operation, the Hakainushi was well on its way to accomplishing its goals. Was it not the time to start building on their bases? There were things to be done. So many things. Horrible things.
As it stood now, the Super Mega had some...well, matters to attend to. Without further delay, he vanished mysteriously, leaving Giygas to his construction project.
