Please Stop Assuming You're Alone

Miyashta Park on a sunny weekend afternoon is a fantastic place to relax and let one's brain cool down after a long week of school. Lots of kids come here to hang out and gossip, enjoying simple socialization after day after day of boring classes. Louis Kelborn is not one of those kids.
"Okay, we're near the edge... no one can see through trees... okay! I think we're good." Pushing back his light brown hair, Louis plops down behind a tree and gently swings his backpack around to his lap. "Alrighty Haze, sorry I kept you in there for so long."
"Was this absolutely necessary?" Haze growls, pushing his round body out of the bag.
"Do you want another group of kids mobbing you?" Louis retorts, raising an eyebrow as he pulls his grouchy little furball of a digimon out onto the grass in front of him. Haze simply grumbles, shaking himself to get rid of backpack fluff. Louis smiles to himself, pleased to have actually scored a point against his argumentative partner.
"Okay, so... tell me about this... digivice thing that absorbed my phone. " he says, pulling some sort of toy out of his pocket, confident that they were alone.
Like most of Louis's confident assumptions, this turned out to be incorrect.

The sun filtered a soft warmth through the tree as Viktor was relaxing, resting his eyes as Genesis kept an eye out, standing in a nearby tree. She was confident that she could back up her Tamer in the event something went wrong, and with their luck lately, there would be something. She was almost certain.
To some, it looks as if the Russian was sound asleep, but he was well aware, and his eyes shot open as sounds of voices from the behind the tree interrupted the few times he got to relax, he spoke as he folded his hands behind his head and crossed his feet:
"I would love to hear more about your adventures with your Digimon. But I am trying to relax, so take your conversation elsewhere."
Sure the kid never said Digimon, but Viktor knew. Hiding something in a bag that speaks and having a device usually spelt a new tamer. He kind of regretted the Digimon for the kid, with the rumors spreading around, having a Digimon was soon to spell mass disorder.
Then again, some disorder made life more interesting.

Whatever Haze was about to say is cut off by a voice from behind them. Louis's eyes go wide and his mouth snaps shut, thousands of excuses and explanations coursing through his brain before he even comprehends what's been said.
"Wait, digimon?" he says, all embarrassment vanishing. "You know about the digimon?" He leans around the tree, trying to see who he was talking to, but only succeeds in getting off-balance and falling on his side.
"Louis. He's asked us to leave, so let's go." Haze hisses, his fur standing on edge. Nothing about this human sits well with him at all, and he swears he can feel eyes on them. They're at a huge disadvantage, with Louis being... well, Louis, and himself still stuck in his weak in-training form. Louis pouts, about to speak, but Haze rolls his eyes and cuts him off.
"Let the cat take his nap, Louis. Probably nothing worth waking up, anyways."

Viktor gave a nonchalant response as he blindly waved a had:
"No, it is not. Now, kindly shut up."
Viktor sighed, he really didn't like the company of others. , even when he was attempting to relax, and sure this was a public place, but it was generally considered rude, especially in Japan, to carry a "loud" conversation.
Viktor really didn't care for culture, he just wanted silence, at least as much as the artificially crafted nature could offer. He was supposed to meet some ambassador later about issues with the Embassy, things he wished wasn't his problem. But as the "Attack dog" of UN, it was all too often his problem.
Genesis leapt in front of the tamer and his Digimon, Holo-suit turned off as she showed her full form. Genesis stood a bit shorter than Viktor, but only by a few inches but she easily towered over these two;
"Quiet now, children. Old men need their sleep."
"I heard that."
"Are you sure, pops? Your hearing might be going. she snickered.
"That is what I thought."
Genesis rolled her eyes as she gestured for the two to follow her. She could carry a polite conversation with them, where Viktor wouldn't. Mostly due to his intolerance of people. He continued to relax as he sighed yet again.
By all standards he was still young, but he was, infact, getting too old for this.

Louis jolted as a large bipedal fox dropped from seemingly nowhere, landing gracefully in front of him. Haze's fur puffed up even more, recognizing the higher level of the Renamon.
So this was who had been watching them. Haze eyed the Renamon warily, even as Louis jumped right up to follow when she gestured. "Yes, let's blindly trust every tamer and digimon who deigns us with their presence," Haze grumbled as Louis scooped him into his arms. "Not like we can't even work the digivice or anything."
"Oh hush, you. If they wanted to hurt us we'd be hurt by now. Louis said, forcefully flattening Haze's fur.
"He says, as we're led further away from anyone who could see or hear us..." Haze growled, fluffing his fur back up defiantly. "I'll let my fur down when we're safe."
"Gonna be all puffed up for a while then, aren't ya?" Louis muttered.
