Whitewater's beach was a nice place to spend an afternoon, especially on one of those days when the sun wasn't super hot and the breeze did a good job at making the atmosphere enjoyable. Swimsuits, sunglasses, awesome hats, tanning, having fun... and relaxing, most of all.
Logically, the place was relatively crowded given the current conditions, but that was okay; it wasn't something overly bothersome. She didn't need more than the place her towel occupied at the moment to relax, and Kyo, currently on her Plotmon form, wasn't that big anyway, even if the castle she was currently building was quite big. Probably three times as big as she was. "Sure you don't wanna help me, Yuu?" But that didn't mean she was satisfied with it, it could be bigger and better! "This castle would be awesome if you gave me a hand!"
Pity that... the teenager probably wouldn't relinquish doing anything for anything in the world at the moment. Inclining her hat, she gazed for a moment at it before returning to her previous position. "[You're doing just fine, Kyo. I'll just watch from over here if you don't mind.]"
The doglike digimon pouted, but she could get behind her partner's reasoning. It didn't matter! She'd build the most awesome sand castle no matter what.

It had been a good long time since the pair had stepped into whitewater; in fact kan couldn't really remember what they had done here. It wasn't really that important to the shopkeep; he'd shrug and shift his gaze towards Gretal who was trotting towards the beach. It was for the most part their "day" off; they didn't really have anything that needed to be done immediately so his wife decided that they should do something that wasn't business related.
She wanted to relax somewhere warm, and he didn't really care where they went so there wasn't much arguing when she decided on the beach as their destination. Kan found himself brought back to reality when he felt sand slip into his sandals. Gretal was already setting up an umbrella and towel [the latter of which was frankly undersized for the massive digimon].
He glanced around noting that there were quite a few people; not a crazy amount mind you but certainly more than what he was expecting. Taking a seat pretty close to where gretal was getting set up he decided to mess around with the sand just a bit. He didn't really get the opportunity to go to the beach very often; so he still had to get used to feeling the sand against his skin.
"When was the last time you went to the beach anyways?
"Recreational? Never. Business related? Once or twice maybe. Always wearing shoes so I never really got to feel the sand."
"You really lived a sheltered life didn't yah Kan? Next thing you're gonna tell me is you don't know how to swim!"
"........"
"....Wait really?"
"Yeah; never really had a reason as to why I needed to learn."
"You know we're gonna have to try to swim later..."
"Oh jeez..."

Castle was looking good; for something that had been rushed a bit, Kyo was really happy with her handiwork. Still, she could add some details to make it better, right? Like... putting that seashell on the top of the leftmost tower; that'd be awesome! Now, she only had to get it...
The item itself was some distance away from her, she just had to go through a small group of people. "I'll be right back!" She said cheerfully, getting just a wave of recognition before she set off for that small quest; something that, predictably, didn't any mishaps at all. Well, at least if you don't count her accidentally not noticing a certain WereGarurumon X setting up an umbrella and tripping over her feet. Lucky thing that the sand was soft. "Ow..." It hurt, but not that much.
Getting up again, she looked at the owner of those feet, a cheerful expression on her face. "I'm sorry ma'am! I wasn't looking where I was walking! Just wanted to get that seashell over there." Pointing at the object in question, she noticed that it wasn't there anywhere. "Wait. Where did it go?" The sudden disappearance of that item made the digimon sadder than all the falls of her life. "Aw shucks. Somebody must've picked it up. Now I won't be able to complete my castle..."

Kan didn't really know what he should be doing at the beach; he never really had went and had only heard small tidbits from customers every now and again. He looked absolutely out of sorts; trying to at least make due with the stuff in his general area. Then again he was just messing around with sand; it was nothing serious all considering.
To say the least he wasn't paying attention when Gretal was tripped over; the latter of which let out a soft chuckle when the smaller digimon tripped over her feet. She'd shift just a bit; moving from a standing position to more of a kneeling one.
"That's all right; good thing we're at the beach eh? Might of been a nasty tumble otherwise.
She'd follow where the smaller digimon pointed; noting that indeed there was nothing there. Considering that they could of kicked it up or... Gretal looked about her immediate area with a soft hum. It was very possible that she had kicked it by accident or that her husband had moved it or was even using it at the moment; though the latter she doubted.
"Seashell eh? My husband there probably moved it or I might of kicked it by mistake. Kan dear; did you move anything before getting settled in?"
"No I pretty much sat right down, why?"
"This little one is looking for a seashell that was over by us."
The human would blink and turn just a little bit; eyes sliding to the other digimon.
"It might be under your towel. I don't really recall seeing a shell near us when I sat down. What color was it?"
Snorting softly the GarurumonX moved her towel out of the way; unsure if she actually had set the towel down on the shell or not...

The WereGarurumon X was so nice! And helpful; Kyo immediately smiled at her, despite how sad she felt about the missing seashell. "I know right. I should really look where I'm going, but the shell was just so shiny!" It wasn't a guess, she was one-hundred percent sure that the shell would make her castle perfect. Now, if she only could find it...
Once again, her newest acquaintance had an awesome idea! Maybe the shell was lost somewhere as the couple set up, that was a very valid theory! With any luck, they'd be able to find it. She only had to trust. "Its color? Uhm... it was orange, I think! At least it seemed to be at a distance." That answer would prove to be unneeded, given that the object in question was just under the towel, becoming visible as soon as the Perfect level moved it. Sneaking in quickly, she grabbed her prize, a radiant smile taking over the Plotmon's features. "Yay! Thank you so much!"
Not being shy on the slightest, Kyo went and tried to hug the kind digimon in the best way she could; which probably would probably result on an awkward pose, but it wasn't like she cared all that much about it.
As the sweet gesture unfolded, Yuu made her presence known there. Worrying a bit about her partner not coming back, the blonde had finally located her partner in this place, and was a little worried at the events that were currently unfolding. Making sure of bringing her notepad, she scribbled a quick note and passed it to the WereGarurumon X.
Hope my partner hasn't bothered you too much; she can be a bit handful at times. It's a pleasure to meet you two; name's Tsumura Yuu, hers' Kyo.

"No harm done really!"
she'd chuckle softly shifting just a little bit so the towel was out of the way completely so they could easily grab the shell. It was always a little odd meeting people in the digital world. They were either really friendly or kind of recluses in her experience. She was grateful for the fact she was dealing with the former.
"That was pretty simple."
"Oh hush you. You're welcome."
The WereGarurumon X looked a bit surprised from the attempted hug, considering their sizes the best the larger digimon could manage was a simple back pat with one of her hands. She certainly had to be fairly careful considering the claws she was working with. Not even a moment sooner and she was greeted with the appearance of what was no doubt the digimon's partner. Though rather speak as she was expecting; she instead was passed a note.
Today was a bunch of firsts it seemed.
She'd read over the note; thankful that there wasn't a language barrier preventing her from reading. Some digimon didn't bother educating themselves but they honestly never got as far as those that did. She'd give a brief smile and hand the note back.
"Not too much no, we hadn't quite gotten settled in. My name is Gretal, Surname of Hannibal. This is my husband Uric Kan."
She'd gesture over at kan who gave a polite nod. He certainly looked out of place with how pale the man was. Like he hadn't gotten much sun in the least bit.
"A pleasure."
Kan wasn't really sure what he should say; he kind of felt a little on the side of things but that was to be expected seeing as how sociable Gretal could be when not on the job.
"Certainly a good day to come to the beach No?"
She'd inquire setting her towel down; she was certainly more into this day off than her husband was who was struggling to enjoy himself.

Mission accomplished! Now that she had what she looked for, Kyo could go back and finish her castle. Well, at least that was the plan before Yuu showed up. Even if she looked to be mostly annoyed, the Plotmon could see a small measure of concern on her face. Good enough for her.
Going back to the pleasantries, Yuu definitely was in for a first timer. Even if the concept wasn't really foreign for her, this was the first time she saw a human-digimon marriage, or at least one that looked like one. Kan could very well be a digimon in a holosuit, even if that was pretty unlikely. After giving them a slight bow then smiling back at Gretal, the blonde began to write another note, passing it down as soon as she was finished.
Thanks for helping her. I really appreciate it. It's certainly a pretty good day to come to the beach, too! The day's pretty tranquil and the beach isn't even that crowded. What about you? Enjoying the day too?
The beach was a good place for a date as any. Who'd say Yuu was going to end up chatting with two strangers on her free day.
Not like she minded, though.

The Shopkeeper certainly felt like he was the odd man out; he certainly knew this youth was probably just here to relax. That's what people came to beaches for in the first place after all. They didn't need to make small worries from something like this; so likely this would be a quick conversation wouldn't it?
He was more surprised that they weren't talking; taking time to write out something instead. Was there a restriction on their vocal abilities? Or perhaps was it just something out of comfort? Curiosity certainly seemed to be in bundles as Gretal continued to chat with them.
"Oh it's no problem, Didn't require me to do all too much. I wasn't even settled in yet hah!"
A hearty chuckle and the shopkeeper cam over with a brief shake of the head. Gretal flashing him the note briefly so he wasn't left out of the loop.
"She saw it ideal to drag me out here."
"well lounging around in a shop that isn't doing any business currently isn't exactly relaxing. So. I'd like to think we'll enjoy the day as it passes, so far it's just been a bit of travel! What about yourself?"
"Considering that the beach is popular with the younger generation wouldn't be surprised if she had been here all day."
"We would of been here all day too if someone didn't drag their feet..."

Kyo found these two to be really kind people, even if... Kan seemed to not to be a man of many words, and a little grumpy to boot. Maybe he didn't like beaches all that much? That could be a possibility! "Still, it was really nice on your part!" She said, raptly gazing at the seashell currently within her paws.
However, Yuu found the following conversation between the two to be really... interesting. Seemed like these two were owned some kind of business? It was their free day, but talking about such endeavors derived in some entertainment for the blonde. A small grin forming on her face, she began to write.
We didn't arrive too long ago, to be honest; today's our day off. May I ask what kind of business are you two running? I own a growing organization, and I'm always looking for potential business associates. Well, if it's fine to ask, that is.
She could definitely understand the two of them not wanting to talk about business ventures on what seemed to be a trip of relaxation. Still, the blonde's curiosity was piqued.
Her partner looked at her with a bit of a concerned expression; she had thought that one of the rules of their day off was not talking about business!

The digimon tutted and gave a small grin to the smaller digimon. She could of been mean about it; but what purpose would that really serve were she to? A soft shrug and she turned her attention to the note that was no doubt forthcoming. Her eyebrows shot up and she snorted before passing it to kan.
"I suppose so, well I'm glad we found it; imagine if I had sat down?"
Kan read over the note with at first what seemed to be mild curiosity; it shifted to surprise when it mentioned the potential business associates. He'd rub the back of his neck; unsure if he should bring up the illegal aspects at first. But a firm look from Gretal made him fairly certain that he would leave that out for the time being.
"I run the majority of the business, it's a small repair shop that focuses primarily on cars or computers... or anything really associated with either of them. I also sell some minor tidbits of technology/
He'd shift slightly and frown just a little bit.
"Though I can also build things, make repairs to things outside of those two areas. All I really need is the blueprints of the object in question.Which makes people stop by more often than not."
Kan didn't seem to mind talking about business even if was their day off either.
"Could be bigger if you weren't a stickler about details..."
"Oh hush...."

It was funny how the roles had reversed at the mere mention of business, and curious how both digimon seemed to be slightly apprehensive of the topic, while the humans seemed to take keen interest on it.
As Kyo shuddered at the mere mention of anybody sitting on her new prize, just as Yuu made sure to pay attention to Kan's business. One one side, repairing machinery and electronics could be useful, but it was a rather boring field of work; on the other hand, creating and constructing was something she found way more interesting! And that she could definitely make good use of.
Yuu gave the pair a gentle smile before writing a quick note; if anything, she seemed to be even more curious than before. Some questions remained, however; for example, why Kan seemed to be somewhat uncomfortable about it, and especially...
May I see a sample of your work at some point? I'm interested in you might've created. Not now, of course, but maybe at some point in the future. Maybe it's too soon to speak, but I think that an association could be beneficial to both parties.
Of course, that was if these two were as proficient on their line of work as Yuu believed them to be. For now, they were on the beach, and while a day intended for them to relax, the teenager couldn't but begin to think about the specifics of the deal.

The two shared another look; she didn't care for doing business on off hours. But at the same time she understood that in order to get anywhere you had to be open. Giving what amounted to an "I'm sorry" the shopkeep rubbed his head and considered something. It didn't hurt to be honest about ventures. He didn't really have the resources to do much and had been out of practice as far as creation went for a while. But that sort of thing for him? Was like riding a bike.
Gretal was the one to take the note again; acting as a middle man. She didn't want to get left out of the conversation; especially if she could answer certain things. That and of course she didn't want to have to bother him later about what the notes had said. She'd hand it over to him after a brief scan; her curiosity abated for the meantime.
Kan looked mildly pleased and gave a firm nod.
"All I got is year old stuff that's been gathering dust in my upstairs. It wouldn't be fair to either of us if I used that. So it'd of course have to be something new."
Gretal got what looked like to be a rather predatory grin before settling down; tugging on the brim of her hat.
"This man can move mountains if you give him some time and a wrench. Though I spose a date would be needed no?"
The shopkeep chuckled and shook his head.
"That and I suppose; a general show of talent isn't what you're looking for. An example is all and good.. but being specific will help the both of us."
"...what happened to relaxing Kan?
"Well we're at the beach, I'm sitting in the sand and reading what She's passing me. It's a nice day and I'd like to think we're enjoying ourselves. So Ms. Yuu, what are you looking for?"

Kyo plopped into the ground, making sure she was getting comfortable; negotiations could get really long, after all. This situation wasn't one she enjoyed. Still, this opportunity could be what Yuu was looking for. Kan seemed to be a very talented individual, at least judging by what Gretal was saying about him. Then again, she was his wife, but the Plotmon had to give her some credit, right? Who knows.
Yuu, on the other hand, wasn't wasting time on setting this deal up. This had the potential of being really, really interesting. Smiling, she wrote yet another note. This time, the letters seemed to be more formal than before, pretty much expressing the tone the blonde wished to convey.
Well, in all honesty, I wanna know what kind of complexity are you comfortable working with. There are no deadlines at the moment, but that's mostly because I think this small project is complex enough to let it take its time, should you accept. It's about... a bit of reverse-engineering something I own already. You see; I've stumbled into a pretty strange machine on my travels; it's damaged seemingly beyond repair at the moment, but I don't want to restore it or anything of the sort. I just want to understand what's the underlying design behind it; what makes it tick, if you catch my drift. Thus far, all the supposed experts in machinery have claimed that the task is too daunting for them, so... if you're up to it, be my guest.
Anything else you might want to ask about this?
In all honesty, that particular use of that piece of technology wasn't something she was interested in replicating, not in the slightest. Still, if Yuu could understand the underlying principles that made it work, she knew for sure that she could repurpose it for something more safe... and profitable, while at it.

Kan tilted his head just a little bit; watching the youth take her time writing something. It certainly was going to be longer than what she had written before; he'd find it rude to try to see what she was writing so he simply just waited. Gretal was now making herself comfortable on her towel, taking great care to avoid having her fur touch the sand. After all if it got in her fur; it'd take forever to get out of there too.
He'd of course accept the note as it was handed to him; reading it over a few times. He'd grow thoughtful; his hand rubbing the back of his head yet again. Shifting in the sand he'd get a little more comfortable; seeming fairly eager for so little information given.
"it can range from simple to vastly complex, the latter of course would take longer."
He looked a little concerned that there wasn't a deadline, if that was the case he could take forever and not get anywhere.
"Something small, a reverse engineering... I can assume that it's a digitally based machine of some form. Is it here in the digital or did you take it back to the real?"
Yet another pause and the shopkeeper rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"It'll take some time that much can be certain; but I think I might have a few ideas as to how to start. If experts in machinery have said that the task is too daunting; I'd assume that they didn't make much headway?"
His tone would take a more serious one.
"I'm up for it; however I will assume that any research and any schematics I gleam from this will be at your organization's behest.
"You'll still need to give them an example you know."
"That comes later, if anything the customer has priority over personal affairs."
"I'll make sure you sleep; you're not pulling a couple of all nighters on a hunch again."
"......I'll just put a bed in the workshop."
"Ohoho, you think that'll pacify me again you're dead wrong dear."
Kan would let out a sigh and shake his head; a almost happy look on his face.
"I suppose the next question I should ask; is when should I get started and where?"

Kan had reacted with far more seriousness that Yuu had expected in first place; that was a good sign. Taking this as a good sign, she made herself comfortable in the sand in front of the couple. She could definitely wait for an answer as the man thought about her proposal.
Maintaining an even face to all the comments made on her way, and preferring to ignore the small discussion that ensued between the WereGarurumon X and her partner, she began to write as the final question was uttered, a small smile beginning to show on her face.
I think the task at hand is complex. I'm no tech wiz, but if none of the eggheads over here could explain to me how this machine works, then I guess this will take at least a fair amount of time.
The machine's in this world; it's fully related to digimons, so bringing it to the human world would be a waste of time. You can come and see it at any time you want to if you're interested in giving it a look.
Regarding what to do with the outcome of your research, yeah. I'd prefer for the knowledge about how this machine work to be held under wraps. And I guess that's going to cost. but I'm pretty much sure that won't be an issue. We'll come to an agreement over it.
Concerning the day when you can begin to work, any day beginning from tomorrow's fine. Today's my day off, but we can discuss the details of this small project if you want to. I'm fine with that.
Lest to say, she was looking forward to this. Who knows how big a breakthrough in this field would be, and most importantly, the knowledge on how those processes worked. This would be really interesting.
