Kan was never quite the sort to like going out in the city during the twilight hours. He liked it when it was dark or when it was light out; that odd moment between the two always sat oddly with the human. But this is what he was stuck with upon coming back to the largest city in the whole digital world. Or at least one of the largest cities in the whole digital realm.
He wasn't alone either; he had of course made a new ally since his last trek out into the crazy world that was the digital realm. A insectoid digimon by the name of Shiki; she was certainly not something that the human had expected to encounter as far as personality and what not goes. Or even the lofty goal that she held deep in her chitin.
The city loomed over the two of them, the lofty spires that made up a majority of the city towered unrealistically above them. The practically mobbing of the digimon living out their lives; business booming and falling... It was a perfect reflection of some of the human cities. Though they were often smaller than what terminus had to offer. The human gestured forward as they passed through an entry point; the digimon on guard not blinking twice at the appearance of a human. They had seen practically everything come through here.
"Terminus city, one of the largest population centers in the digital world. Where you can find everything and anything; for a price or for a hand so to speak."

"And already I missed the scent of forest in this sea of concrete," the vespid lamented. "But I guess I can't always hope that everything will be in my hand." She got nowhere to complain anyway, not after she offered a companionship to this man! The vespid looked around for the hustle bustle of the city. Indeed, it looks quite interesting. However, now that she think of it, she perhaps looked as if she's the man's partner like this.
"I heard the gateway to human's world is here... just out of curiosity, where could it be?"
Not that she's interested of going to that side. She heard there are mean humans out there that would rain her with bullets and whatnots. She's merely curious, but not curious enough to kill herself obviously. Last she head, Digimon that killed in human world will never revive. How absurdly scary.
"Well, then, I don't think we're just here for nothing... do you have any business here, by the way?"

"You get used to the city smells after a bit; even if they are a bit wretched."
He had to agree with vespid; her forest smelled much better and there was that constant refreshment with all the trees. He shifted slightly and continued forward; eyes sweeping left and right. Keeping an eye on people that passed by them; or at least keeping an eye on their hands. He wasn't about to let someone slip their hands into his pockets without a quick response.
"It's in the train-station; most humans take it to the real. They can take digimon with them as well. Usually it's their partner or merc though."
He'd set his jaw and round another corner, getting to a better part of the city rather quickly. Where the bustle was more manageable and the digimon seemed a bit more cheerful. Even in the digital world there was a vast difference of sections in the city. He'd glance at her and chuckle softly.
"A mix of nothing and something mind you; hard to get proper news when you're in the middle of no where. So we're here more for information to our benefit. If there's anything you'd like to do or see don't hesitate to ask."

"You human call this wretched?" Shiki asked, disbelief apparent in her tone. "I call this offensively disgusting!"
She's not even sure that she can handle being in the big city for a long time. She really felt like she'll wither and dried somewhere... But that's probably because she's so used to having her trees shading her head. Oh well... The vespid seem to be curious as of why Kan seem to be restless.
"...Are you human always this restless?" she asked, almost as if this is entirely new to her. Well, to begin with, she doesn't have any articles in her body other than her herself... and probably her bits inside her own body. It's not something that they can steal without killing her.
"What I'd like to see? Very well. Then... lead me to the finest restaurant!"
...Already, she's making some strange demand.

"I'd call it a cluster of situations that all have escalated one another; like building blocks to a monument that lists agonizingly to the left."
Passing by a few digimon; a few giving the human odd looks. While others seemed to recognize the older spirit user; and made sure to avoid crossing paths with him. He had done things that he wasn't proud of in his youth; but he also corrected those things in later investments. But people were hard to forget; fears like their owners.. Simply didn't go away easily.
"People's hands find other's pockets in the worse parts of towns. I've had mine picked enough times to where I need to be on guard. If this was a human city I could say that I'd feel a little bit more confident in my ability to halt pickpockets. Here however? I find myself needing to shift my very form just to halt someones progress on my wallet."
Rubbing his head he'd continue forward; an amused expression crossing onto his features. They wanted to go to the finest restaurant? That was a bit of a hike away as it was; but the human didn't really mind the trek in the least bit.
"Finest restaurant; hah. Well the one that I know of is actually run by humans here. Made a killing in the digital currency. I know they have a lead human chef, but I'm pretty sure all the normal ones are cookmons. Or digimon with apt enough cooking skills."
A short hop, skip and jump away the two arrived on the precipice of a restaurant that looked distinctly american. It clashed so horribly with the buildings nearest it that there was no way in hell you could miss it. The big neon letters on the front of the building's drew attention rather easily and there was even a posted menu on the window as the passed inside.
"Big Joes, where the burgers are mean; the pizza larger than a rookie, the steak firmer than an ultimate; and any amount of pasta you could figure. A little pricey; but with the bustle they make a good killing."

"Funny how you humans never invented something more closely bonded to you when that... what do you call it? Digivice? That whatever thing, I thought that also could store your 'wall-eet' whatever that is. Money should not be something that you can separate from, I think... and nobody would even take this 'wall-eet' when they doesn't even know if it existed to begin with!" Shiki commented. "Unless they somehow can smell money, but that's another thing altogether. Oh well. Want me to bind your wallet closer to your pocket? I can use some threads."
Though the comment about the finest food being hearty meal, quantity instead of finer quality made Shiki wonder if he's joking, but then again, to the vespid, a grand luxurious restaurant would be the same as a cheap hot dog stall, not knowing the common sense what's 'the best' and what's 'just to fill stomach'.
"Hmmm, I'm in doubt, but I shall humor you. Very well, do teach me how the human eat these... thing called burgers. Pizza I have cooked myself. It's definitely delightful. However, I never once heard of these... burgers... nor pasta."

"There are things that would be able to bond closely with us for something like that, but they are expensive and I'm not exactly rolling in money either side. It's a guessing game Shiki, nothing more."
He'd shrug a bit, glancing back at the digimon with a curious gaze. She seemed to be picking at what he was saying but could he honestly blame her? No she was likely trying to learn more of him or of things in general through these questions. He'd move forward towards the restaurant, pushing open the doors in a really laid back fashion the smells of the place wafting out quickly.
"Innovation from the American is what burgers are, Innovation Of the chinnese mixed with culturing of the italians. Different types of humans if you are to understand. People make and are forgotten for the things they come with. It's not a surprise you haven't had either, both can require more prep than a pizza depending on the kind of either. They both certainly have different tastes and textures. Though noodles will require the use of utensils while burgers may be eaten with simply your hands. Or claws in this case."
He'd smirk a bit and take a seat in one of the many tables of the busy restaurant; declining the offer to have someone seat them of course. Humming softly he'd hold up the menu for both of them to use.
"Anything of either of these lists striking your fancy?"

"You should try to make anti thieving measure for your wall-eets. I'm sure that lot of you humans would appreciate that. Selling it would probably quickly cover the cost for the production," Shiki remarked. "Otherwise for now if you're not fine with it, we can make do with my thread. And if you said you're not rolling in money, all the more reason to keep it close with you, yes?"
The trip to the restaurant was uneventful, although she wondered why the human looking at her curiously? She's not exactly anything that hard to figure. She's just an insect... and currently a really hungry one. Still, the foul air completely overwhelmed her. At least in the restaurant it becomes more bearable. Is it because the air conditioning? However, being poikilothermic animal is a curse in itself. She's shivering from the unknown cold.
"Although it's cool and not enough for hibernation, I really wished I got money for buying some coat," the small vespid sighed. "Also I have no idea about these names you mentioned, although I'm to assume that it's some kind of city civilization? Still, if burger can be eaten just with claws," Shiki moved her appendages "then I'd have this so called burger. You said the burgers are 'mean'. Show me them, I will decide whether they are really truly mean or just heartily enough to sate my hunger."
