Kit woke from the repeated siren sounds of his alarm, effortlessly rolling to his side as his arm slammed down against the alarm effectively turning it off. He sat up and dangled his legs over the wooden frame of his bed, slipping his feet into his slippers and stretched his arms up toward the ceiling as he exhaled a yawn. "Ahhhh! Ugh.. that time again huh?.." he muttered to himself enthusiastically. As he stood a black rabbit mask which sat on his desk caught his eye, sluggishly he waddled over to it "Oh yeah! today is the day of the fair!" he reminded himself with a sudden jolt as if a light switch had been switched on inside his mind. Looking to his clock as the big hand just hit the 6 (7:30am) "Oh crap! It's half past already!?" quickly dressing into his uniform while pushing the bread down into the toaster, as the he ran down the stairs the toast jolted up, Kit catching it and immediately ramming what he could into his mouth as he packed his back and ran out the apartment. Making sure to close and lock up, Kit made a quick dash to his bike chained up. Unlocking the chain and jumping onto the seat and began to peddle rapidly toward his school.
Kit eventually arrived at school and made his way to his class which had already began the prep for the fair, as he slid the doors aside he is immediately stopped by a female. "Hah late again I see Kit! You know you should really work on that.. it could get you in trouble one day." the girl spoke with an enthusiastic tone, Kit scratching the back of his head awkwardly "Heh.. yeah my bad Ari." Kit joined his group of friends and together with his class decorated the classroom, moving tables aside, putting up signs and decorations, displaying the drinks and treats and lastly setting up a pen in the corner of the room for the rabbits. "All done me thinks, what about you guys? what do you think?" questioned Ari as another of Kit's group stepped up "I think we did a bang up job on this one, I'd be surprised if we don't get class activity of the year." the young boy said with such confidence. "I agree with Archie on this one." nodded Kit as he unzipped his backpack and took out the rabbit mask that sat on his desk, using the back of his hand to wipe any dust that had gathered of the year. "Let's do this." said Kit as he slipped the mask over his face and nodded, extending his thumb up.
As the day went by many students of all year groups visited what was dubbed the 'Rabbit Cafe'. Bells echoed throughout the hallways of the school signalling the end of the day. "Phew!..." Ari exclaimed as she swiped the back of her hand across her forehead ".. I think that went pretty well!" she spoke loud enough for her class to hear as she flipped the open/closed sign on the door and slid it shut. "Yeah! We even sold out of all the drinks and snacks too." said one of the students behind the tables. "Even the rabbits are sleepy." Archie yelled as he pointed toward the hutch, "Not so loud.. you'll wake them." whispered Kit, sliding his mask to the side of his head. The rest of the school hours were dedicated to cleaning up what had transpired. "Hey want to come to the arcades with Ari and I?" Archie asked Kit, tilting his head slightly to the side from curiosity. Kit shook his head "No can do today, it's Friday so I got go visit my mother." the boy explained. "Ahh right, I got so caught up in the event today I forget it was Friday. Well.. see you next week Kit." Archie nodded as he began to walk off, waving his hand as Ari began to follow "Yeah, see you Monday Kit, say hi to your mom for me." added Ari as the two walk off.
Kit threw his arms up into the air and stretched "Ahh.." as he walked to his bike, putting his headphones on he hopping onto the bike and made his way down to the Shibuya train station. Once there he pulled out of his bag a chain and padlock, wrapping the chain around the bar of his bike and a nearby railing, locking his bike outside of the station. Kit walked into the station and purchased his ticket, looking up the train times 'half hour wait? what a drag..' Kit thought to himself as he took a seat, leaning his head back and resting it against the wall behind him, as he eyes closed, lost in thought as he slowly dozed off. 'H..l...p... he...p.. u.....he...lp... us...... HELP US!' Kit jumped to his feet, awoken by what sounded like a cry for help. He frantically looked around for the source of the cry but nothing seemed out of the ordinary as he continued to look around he noticed a train stationed on the platform he waiting at. "What.. was that?" he muttered to himself as he shook his head in disbelief "must of been my imagination or something.." Kit continued to mutter as he boarded the train and took a seat. Shortly after the doors shut and the train began to move, at first things seemed normal but something felt off as Kit's eyes widened as he noticed there was no one else on board the train. He knew this off since usually the trains to Kyoto are usually busy. He explored each carriage with no luck. 'Surely there must be someone driving.' he thought venturing to the front of the train. To his surprise and dismay, the conductors carriage was also empty. He quickly opened his back and pulled out his smartphone which had no signal though buried within his bag he noticed a strange glow. As reached his hand in and uncovered the strange item, he found a strange black and white device with a small screen and circular control panel below. "What the.." before Kit could finish his sentences the train raced into a dark tunnel and shortly after strange bright lights flickered and flashed and with one quick poof! The train existed the tunnel, Kit looked through the window, the landscapes, the sky, everything seemed different suddenly. He contemplated if he was even in Japan at all. The train eventually pulled into a station.
Kit cautiously existed the train, his eyes wandering as he tried to find any clue in where he was when suddenly his eyes found a rather large yellow creature carrying an even smaller rodent looking thing. "Ahhh, what the!.." he fell back with a sudden jolt of panic. "Wh..where am I?" he yelled. The creature turned with a confused look "What, what, WHAT?! Where are ye'? Well the Digital World of course!" the slim-like creature responded. "Psh.. humans these days, what they teach em' up there?" the smaller creature muttered to the larger as they hopped away. Kit sat in awe as he examined his surroundings once more, muttering "Digital... world?"
