After a quick nod at Alexa, Mana decided to just divert her attention at what was happening in front of them.
The whole situation was taking a turn for the... weird? The Kabuterimon seemed to have a point, and it honestly described the boy that the duo had in front of them almost perfectly, but that was easy. Who'd have a hard time describing what was next to you? That, and honestly Edgar didn't look to be the type to rob anybody, or at least to rob anybody and be obvious enough to remain near the crime scene. That'd just be too sloppy.
Then again, this could be a complex scam of some sort, but that was probably too farfetched to even be a possibility. Especially since... neither Ayaka nor Mana had yet discerned what was exactly stolen from the bug. In fact, Data's queries had done a good job at taking this investigation in the right direction, and that prompted the fairy to speak.
"What was exactly stolen? So far, the only items this human kid has on him are some clothes and a digimon partner. Was it something of importance? I do not think the culprit would have remained in the city if he had something valuable and stolen on their person."
Mana more or less agreed with Ayaka's reasoning, even if this Kabuterimon seemed to be a little... dim to explain all the events that had transpired in a sensible way. Right now... they pretty much had to prod him for information.
This didn't rub her the right way. At all.

The Kabuterimon looked at Data turning his gaze from the kid. "It happened some time ago, at least longer than five minutes." He states looking at Edgar again. "No, Whoever it was. they were awake when they took it." Edgar simply shook his head, having no choice but to agree. "Yeah, from what my sister has told me, I sleep like a log. As for how long I slept, I don't know." While there was a hole there Edgar really didn't have anything to say about that.
"It's something easy to conceal not exactly valuable, just holds sentimental value. And I know they might have left but I want to at least hope." He seemed reluctant to tell them what it was exactly. Edgar then took this time to reach in his pockets before pulling out only two things, his Xros Loader and a large bag of assorted candies. "This is all I have on hand."
The Digimon looked at the items, eyeing the digivice for a second before shaking his head. "Could have sworn, I'm sorry to trouble you all I suppose, I have to get back to looking." He said sounding a bit reluctant to go, after all, he seemed to think Edgar was the one who took it. Eventually, he started going. "If you see someone else who looks like you please tell me." He said while going back the way he came.
"Someone, who looks like me stole something?" Edgar repeated confused at what was going on.

"Good questions," Data said to Ayaka. She could make a good detective. He kept that to himself for now - right now, they had to get to the bottom of this thieving case. Kabuterimon seemed an alright digimon - he was upset, naturally, but he seemed to listen to reason and backed down when he realized he got the wrong kid. Data also felt sorry the the digimon didn't seem to be willing to explain what he lost. Was it something embarrassing?
Edgar was trying to be helpful, showing everything he had in his pockets. Nothing there that was unexpected. Well, that wasn't too surprising - Edgar wasn't the type to go stealing. Especially from humongous bugs.
"Alright. I assume you'll be around the park? If we see anything suspicious we'll tell you," Data said. It was all they could do. It wasn't like they had any leads.
"Seems like that's the case, kid. Do you want to figure out what's going on? If so, I say we start talking to people in the area. See if anyone knows something," Data said.
"Is there a criminal underworld in the city? Like a black market?" Alexa asked, her only knowledge of such things being TV dramas.
Data shook his head. "Kabuterimon said it wasn't valuable. So it's unlikely they're trying to sell it." Data scratched his head with his wing. This was a strange case. But it wasn't going to best him.

Ayaka nodded at Data before shrugging somewhat nonchalantly. "I have heard of some digimons with doppelganger abilities. Least to say, their abilities are not... polished. Maybe the lack of lightning made the disguise go through. In any case, hope this issue can be solved successfully."
Case had a weird way of resolving itself, for sure! Just some talking and they had managed to send the Kabuterimon searching for whatever was stolen in... another direction."Talk about... confusing? Oh well, at least that case was solved. Somewhat"
It hadn't come to a violent conclusion, luckily. Otherwise, this could've gotten a bit rowdy. Sighing with relief, Mana went back to the previous topic; her two new friends! "Now that's done, though! Take you guys are new to the Digital World or something? Because you're askin' a lot of basic questions, I mean..." She hoped she wasn't sounding demeaning or something. Everyone began somewhere, after all! "Maybe you'd be fine with us showing you the sights? I'm sure Suzuran can handle just fine by herself, even if she'll probably yell at us from moving while she was away. What do you say?"
Honestly, the fairy was angry at all times for no reason, so this was pretty much the usual. And she'd love to show the sights to her new friends!

Edgar scratched the back of his head a little lost in thought, though he heard mention of some doppelganger abilities, he had assumed there might be abilities like that after all Digimon were really weird. Data did end up putting him on the spot asking if he wanted to go looking for them. But at the same time, Mana offered to show the sights. Was this really something he should ignore if it was true, last he knew he was the only one that looked like him and a twin going around stealing just seemed like it was asking for trouble.
"Maybe we should just see the sights Data. While it is concerning to think someone's running around with my face it's cleared up now, at least a bit so long as Artemis and you guys are around me. just keep an eye out for it." Edgar felt that was probably for the best around now, there was a high chance the thief wasn't even here anymore. Plus they could just look on and off while Mana showed them around.
"Yeah we're kinda new to this whole thing, this is my first time in the digital world. Though we got a lot of the really basic stuff out of the way." Edgar pointed out, Yuuki taught them mostly everything. Though twins was a bit of a left field thing, maybe it just wasn't relevant at the time. "We don't want you to get yelled at but if you think it's ok," Artemis added, if she got mad just because she bumped into Edgar, he didn't want to think how bad it could get with leaving an area entirely.

Data had considered a digimon using a disguise. In fact, it was quite likely, given the variety of different digimon and their different abilities. Alexa was surprised. Then again, at this point, she imagined digimon could do almost anything.
Alexa turned over to Mana. She seemed pretty nice. Well, most tamers she'd met so far were. She felt a bit embarrassed when Mana noted they were asking basic questions, and let out a nervous giggle.
"That obvious? Sorry if we're being a burden. But if you're up for it, we'd love to see the sights with you. I'll buy everyone dinner as thanks, if you're all okay with it." Alexa was almost more excited for the dinner than the sight-seeing - sure, she was a bit peckish, but she'd always wanted to have friends over for dinner. It wouldn't be exactly like having them at her house, but it would still be a good experience with... friends.
Data wasn't satisfied with the case being over. He didn't want to see the sights. There was still a thief out there - both of items and of appearances. That should be rectified. But majority rules and all that. Alright, he'd do the investigation after sight-seeing and food. Knowing the area would help out a lot.

It was good that everyone had agreed on doing something far more productive than a wild goose chase. In all honesty, even Ayaka was doubtful about it. "As much as I dislike to admit it, chances are that if we find a digimon capable of shapeshifting, we will find ourselves biting more than what we can chew. Even somebody as simple and tasteless as Betsumon is at perfect level; I cannot but feel uneasy at thinking the kind of power would wield any being with more control on them."
Luckily... "That doesn't matter at the moment, though. Let's get moving!" It'd be a fun, albeit somewhat short trip along Terminus' downtown. Not before Mana turned to face Alexa, though. "Don't be silly. You ain't being a burden! Nobody was born knowing everything, right? If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Aya and I will try to answer them to the best of our ability!"
A soft giggle ensued after hearing Artemis' comment, however. "When I said we, I referred to Aya n' me! Don't worry about getting yelled at! She'll probably be too busy with us to pay attention to you."
It'd be a mostly short trip, with the sights there to be seen; the main mall, the street where most of the stores were located, the street where most of the restaurants and bars were, the park and... probably that was all? "I think I didn't miss anything important. Maybe there's a place in particular you wanna see or that you're interested in??"

Edgar couldn't help but nod at Ayaka's comment, shapeshifting was something Edgar wasn't even sure could be a thing, there was a chance there just happened to be someone who looked like him but that was even less than the shapeshifting thing. "It is a scary thought," Edgar added, after all, he almost got in trouble for it, that kind of power was even more worrisome than just power.
Artemis wasn't exactly worried about himself in that statement, after all, he could fly. Any problems and he'd just wisk himself away. But she didn't seem to care so with a small shake of his head he dropped that. The walk itself seemed to be shorter then Edgar anticipated, he expected a vast and large fantasy world, while he wasn't disappointed given the residents of said world this place felt more like a normal town, park, restaurants. So While he didn't look disappointed he did feel a little underwhelmed.
"I can't think of anywhere, in particular, I'd want to see. Is this the only city in the digital world or are there more somewhere else?" He asked curious about that after all the entire digital world couldn't be one town, right? Artemis however also had a question. "Oh is there a central shop? We passed restaurants and bars but I don't know if I saw anything else."

Alexa shivered. Ayaka was right - whatever could shapeshift probably was a pretty high level. Data had told her he could shapeshift, but only at a very high level indeed. No, they were not prepared to deal with that. She shook off those thoughts and smiled at Mana. The other girls was so nice. She still felt silly that she knew so little, but Mana was right - knowledge came with time and experience.
Alexa was also relieved that she would be spared wrath of Mana's other digimon. One angry digimon was enough for today. Anyway, Alexa wondered what she had yet to see. Oh. There was the obvious. Alexa remembered some of the shops they saw from her own shopping trip earlier - she was even carrying some of their bags. But it did feel a bit underwhelming, especially compared to Tokyo which had so many different districts and things to see. She let Edgar ask his questions first, then added a few of hers.
"Well I mean we can see it, but do you know what the deal is with the big wall surrounding the city? And are there any monuments or anything?"
Data was able to answer Edgars question. "Yeah, each of the main regions has a city, though this is still the biggest of them."
Alexa was next. She held up her shopping. "I've done a bit of shopping here Artemis. What exactly are you looking for? Maybe I'll know where it is."

Seemingly, the duo's companions had a fair share of questions, and even some answers on their own! Namely, both Alexa and Data were able to help Edgar and Artemis with their doubts before the teenager added some of their own. "The wall, huh? Well, that one is easy!"
In all honesty, the function walls served was obvious. "The Digital World can get unsafe at times, so a measure of protection against whatever wants to eat the city's inhabitants is good to have! I kinda stifles the city's growth, I guess. But that's to be expected."
Talking about monuments got her thinking. She didn't know any? But maybe Ayaka. "Actually, there is a variety of them." She interjected. "Some for the founders of the city, another to... honor the deceased after the last time the city was in peril. I can actually guide you there if you wan-"
"You." Yup, cut off by an angry, pretty much duplicate of her being. Cept her colors were warm instead of cold. And her temper was a lot less patient. "Do you know how much time I wasted searching for the two of you? I cannot believe you are this irresponsible." Suzuran wasn't being nice this time, that much was showing. Her features were contorted into a scowl as she stared at Mana and Ayaka, pretty much not noticing everyone else's existence.
"We need to get back. Remember the exam the human has to take? If we do not hurry, she might miss it. And I think I do not need to explain the consequences."
Realization lit both beings' faces. Right! They had totally forgotten about it. "Whoops." Mana's awkward smile didn't make much to put Suzuran at ease. If anything, it seemed it had aggravated her. She quickly turned to face her friends, same smile on her face. "I guess I gotta go! Sorry I can't show you the places! See ya!"
And just like that, the teenager began to run into in the train station's general direction, closely followed by her partners. I had a lot of fun, but I'm traveling in a couple of days and I won't be able to post for a pretty long bit. Have fun!

Edgar noticed Alexa talking about the wall than actually gave the city a quick look around, he hadn't noticed it due to the time of day but it did seem this place was surrounded by a mightly large wall, and the explanation of said wall made sense to Edgar, at least in the context of danger. "E-eat?" Edgar muttered out a bit afraid of that, while it might of been a joke he was at least afraid enough to actually stammer. "Don't worry General, I don't think you're tasty."
"I hope you never find out if I am or not," Edgar said with a sigh, why did his partner have to say such weird things. "And what I'm looking for is a Car, something big with a lot of space," Artemis said with nearly stars in his eyes at the aspect of driving around. "Well, I suppose that'd be something, after all, if seven of us are going to be around it might be for the best." Edgar agreed before shaking his head. "But I doubt either of us could you know, drive Artemis."
"We'll find a tall ally." Don't worry I'm sure you can recruit anyone General. He said as if it was already set in stone it'd happen. Then came the time when the angry partner came back, Edgar looked over at her, noticing the difference between the two of them, she seemed mad but didn't even seem to see them. "It's fine, I'm sure we can figure it out, thanks for helping out.
With her gone through what was there for them to do really, with a scratch of his head Edgar stared off for a moment before looking over at Data and Alexa. "We can split off here if you want, I think me and Artemis are gonna look around for that look alike, I don't feel like going home right now." There seemed to be some distance in his voice when he mentioned that but overall he seemed rather determind to find the sucker wearing his face.

The wall part did make sense. Why didn't Alexa think of that? Oops. The monuments would be look at, though. Each large city has it's details that made it special. Alexa liked to take selfies in front of the monuments to help remember the journey.
And then the scary fairy came back. Alexa took a step back. She didn't want to get in the way. And now, Mana and Ayaka were heading out. Essays seemed to be the main reasons humans didn't stay in the digital world. First Yuuki, now Mana. Good thing Alexa did all her homework already. Well, she'd have to get Mana dinner another time.
"Bye! good luck on your essay," Alexa said.
Now they were left with Edgar and Artemis. It wasn't as awkward as things usually were with other people, so that was nice. A car, eh? Okay, she saw some dealers in the city, though there weren't many. She wondered who would drive. It didn't seem like digimon has licenses.
Seven? Oh yeah. Alexa was grateful for a moment she wasn't a general - she had no idea how she'd hide seven digimon in her room.
Alexa noticed that something seemed off about Edgar and going home. She'd had times like that when she was younger. She decided not to push it - he could talk about it if he wanted, no need to get it out of him.
"I want to get to the bottom of this mystery, even if it's dangerous," Data said. "We should make sure this guy doesn't cause more trouble in your name. We just need some leads. We could ask around the park if anyone else saw this 'other you'."

Edgar put his hands in his pockets giving a small nod to Data's suggestion. "Yeah, I don't want my name sullied in the digital world, especially since I haven't spent more than a few hours in this place." After all, he shouldn't have to deal with someone who just wanted to take some stuff, whatever that stuff was the large bug wasn't that clear on it.
Artemis though spun around for a moment before floating up in the air for a little bit, at least above Edgar as his wings glowed with a golden light. "I'll get a few from the sky, with my telepathy if I see the guy I can just yell at him in his head, you guys head to the park I'll catch up." Edgar gave a small nod to this idea after all Data was a detective while he could fly also he'd probably be better off actually asking them instead of just looking.
"Just be safe Artemis." Artemis gave a nod before flying off into the air, wings glowing as his cloak moved in the wind. Edgar then started walking back over to the park, assuming Data and Alexa would follow, when he got there though there weren't that many people, you could faintly see the large bug digimon that bothered them before Kabuterimon, there was also a Kyubimon and a Flamon.
"I'm not the detective so, who should we talk to first?" While he felt maybe Kabuterimon he didn't seem like he made any progress, Edgar could almost feel an air of sadness coming from him about that but maybe it'd help?

Alexa wondered what it would be like to have a doppelganger in her place, doing bad things. Well, there were plenty of legends about such things. Few had happy endings. Right, it would be best to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.
Data watched Artemis fly away. Okay, that was cool. For a moment Data wanted his wings to flash gold, but thought better of it. Too flashy, especially if he wanted to be in hiding. It was still cool, though. "Good luck," he told the fellow digimon.
Data and Alexa did follow. Each mon they passed for a suspicious look from Data. Then they saw Kabuterimon again. And some other digimon. Well finding the object would be hard if they couldn't identify it, so maybe it was best to talk to Kabuterimon again.
"Hey there. Mind if I ask some questions?" Data wasted no time before asking those questions. "Did you find your lost item, firstly? If you didn't, could you please tell us more about it? We want to find out what's going on and help you out, if you don't mind."

Edgar followed Data to talk to Kabuterimon again, after all, they still had no idea what the item they were looking for in the first place was While the digimon did hear Data and turn around he looked at Edgar again before recognizing the two he was with and instantly calming down. "Oh, it's you all again." He said but looked surprised at the offer to help.
"I don't mind questions, I can take all the help I can get." He admitted before hearing Data out about the questions. "No, and I don't think I've gotten any closer to finding it, I did find out that no one looking like your friend there has left the city, nor anyone else really since it's pretty late." He pointed out, so at least he was still probably in this area.
"As for what it is, it's a handheld device, something you'd normally find in the human world." He still seemed reluctant to say what it was exactly but he at least gave a description of what it was. "What about where it was? I doubt it was the park." From what Edgar knew about criminals, which basically was all the crime dramas he watched sometimes with his sister criminals don't visit the scene of the crime.
"It was near a shop, one with a lotta gadgets for you humans. I was just walking past it." That's probably why he got Edgar confused, after all only a human would really go to a place with stuff for them
