Toki seemed happy to hear of the village again "That was one of the first places I found when I first went there. It was peaceful and I met some very nice people." he happily reminisced about his time there and the young Digimon were adorable to him. The fact that Kotemon and Duffer planned to seek out the history of the Digital World and its locales intrigued him. That could help him get a grasp on where he would have to look for any future totems. "Hearing more about that world sounds amazing. From the days I was there I couldn't find the words to describe how much I wanted to see, so I would love to understand it more, if you would have me go with you next time."
Silvermon's attempt at making him feel better seemed to work as his posture relaxed somewhat, though worried at the idea of the Village being attacked "Why would anything attack a place like that?" the mere thought of such a thing angered him. His fists were clenched tight around his knees as he thought about this. "I want to learn what I can do to help. At some point...if you want to, Kan, I want your advice. You know more about this than I do and I can barely remember how I even used it the first time. I need the help. Please."

"That is because Primary Village is a place of rebirth. Most digimon do not die, they are reincarnated and end up there. In a war, this could mean that whomever has primary village in their land has a theoretically endless army if they work on their training properly. As a result, many, many armies tend to strike this location as one of the first areas." Kotemon explained. "We can get more into these wars when we get there." "That's a bit morbid." Duffer admits.
"Again, digimon don't die, even baby ones. Ethics are a lot more complicated when you remove death from the equation. I could kill myself and be back at your house in the morning." "Please don't..." "As for "next time" I was hoping to do it today but DUFFER kept wanting to go back to the human world instead of staying home." "Home? We live in some guy's train?!" He said, shocked.

"It's one of the best places to go if you're starting out; definitely one of the more gentle locations of the digital realm."
"Some Humans spend their entire digital experience without going there. It puts things into perspective, you find what you need there. With or without the intention to."
Kan's experience with the village was pretty straightforward; he had gone there when he started out but there wasn't much he could really say about it other than it was a good place to start. The digimon there were naturally friendly and the few caretakers at the time were used to dealing with humans too.
The morbidity of the statements from Kotemon were however.. rather accurate. The spirit bristled in irritation but the sound of it's voice went from sounding a little reverent to outright grumpy.
"A bit morbid yes, but true none the less."
Kan would snort at the mention of Kotemon being able to return to the house in the morning after 'killing' itself. That wouldn't serve any purpose but it certainly put things into perspective.
Then of course there was the inquiry about advice... well more akin to a plead for help about things. Kan shrugged his shoulders; he could certainly give out some advice it wouldn't hurt.
"Sure. But this isn't really the place to help you out with it. Being a spirit user is a hands on experience, explaining it without examples would be difficult."
"Every spirit experience is different, hopefully you find yours to be a bit more gentle than others."

Toki didn't seem exactly thrilled with how Kotemon explained it. "I disagree with ethics being more complicated. Hurting people is still hurting people even if death is taken away." he said, eyes narrowing in a glare "I would still like to know about the past conflicts...if only to know how to help avoid them in the future...at least avoid as many as possible." he wasn't so naive as to believe all conflicts can be avoided, but would still rather there be as few as possible. Maybe even that was wishful thinking...but that wasn't going to keep him from trying his best.
He seemed relieved that Kan was willing to help him out, nodding at his reasoning that here isn't really the best place for it "Of course...I understand. We'll have to keep in touch so we can meet up there sometime soon. As for my spirit...they're really quiet. They appeared to me when I was helping someone find their lost partner and we got attacked by a couple of digimon. The spirit seemed...kind, wanting me to find balance within myself using its power. Since then I haven't heard anything from it. I just hope I haven't done anything to offend it in some way."
There were many things going through his mind right now. He had a tendency to overthink and overwork himself to the point it became a tad unhealthy. Did he really have a right to this kind of power? Would he be able to use it effectively? Would it change him for the worse? He desperately just wanted to help but maybe he would end up doing more harm than good in the long run. He took a deep breath and thought that he still has to try no matter what happens from here on.

"We need to step back a few seconds, Kotemon. These are things that need to be talked about. We live in the digital world now? What about my parents or my brother?" He asked, worried. "I'll explain later, Duffer, when we're not out in the open where literally anyone can hear us." Duffer opened his mouth, then shut it again, unhappy with this turn of events and turning to Toki. "Yeah, I'm with him, killing babies just seems... cruel."
"Oh they don't usually go after fresh or digitamas, if anything they'd try to take as many of those as they can before they trash the place. Why lose perfectly good soldiers when you can just take them for yourself?" Kotemon reassured. "I'm fairly sure the only time any harm purposely came to babies of primary village was..." It paused for a while. "A fire. There was a fire during the War of the Angels and Demons that wiped out Primary Village, and neither party was aware of it until partway through the battle for Avalon Fields since neither group had claimed that territory yet. The source of the fire was unknown but it sparked another series of conflicts amongst the then prevalent Metal Empire and the Nature's Spirits." "Do digimon do nothing but have wars?" Duffer asked. "Oh yeah, like humans have any place to judge after the italian bucket battle." The masked digimon responded, annoyed.
