Team Name: Moonstone Travelers
Team Ideal: Hope
The Digital World is vast and incredible, though it has its share of conflicts that burden those who live there, especially those outside of the major cities. A world where one constantly must look over their shoulder is a world that needs someone to inspire and bring peace of mind to those who need a helping hand. To hope, to dream, to rise up despite the hardships are ideals that some find difficult to accomplish. The goal of the Moonstone Travelers is to give the Digital World a reason to hope for the future and to become stronger united and individually. There is an inherent power to hope, a power that gives humans and Digimon alike to better themselves and the world around them. It is all a matter of tapping into it and inspiring others to do the same. To do so, one must train their body and mind, travel the world, and extend a hand to those who struggle to stand on their own…and give them the courage to.
Team Ability: Beyond the Impossible.
Unyielding determination burns within the hearts of the Travelers, giving them the chance to accomplish amazing things. Through this ability, a team member in a crisis can gain a second wind, recovering some health and refreshing three cooldowns of choice aside from Once Per Thread abilities. Through this, a team member can potentially turn a losing situation into a comeback victory. This ability can only be activated once per thread.
Use Conditions: Low health, watched an ally be taken out of combat, enemy gets reinforcements.
Base Location: Moonblossom Monastery
Base Thread / Base Subboard
Recruitment: To join the Moonstone Travelers, one must believe that there is a place in the Digital World for kindness and altruism. If a situation seems like it can be solved through peaceful means, one must do everything they can to do so, but also understand that it is sometimes not possible.
Aside from that, they must be on friendly terms with Toki or have threaded with other members of the team in a way that they could be referred to positively.
Leadership: Toki does not consider himself a leader, more of a teacher. He values the voices of all those around him, his teammates especially. Strength and rank are completely irrelevant to him. Integrity, kindness, and an open mind are what he wishes to see in others. As a result, he wants those around him to be honest and open with their thoughts and opinions so that he may improve what it is the Travelers are capable of.
Rules:
1. If a peaceful means exist that is fair for all involved, take it.
2. Inspire others to become better people through your actions.
3. Graciously accept compensation, but never demand it.
4. Live life to its fullest.
History and Details: The Moonstone Travelers came into being after Toki considered forming a sort of martial arts dojo in the Digital World to follow in his father’s footsteps. However, the more he thought about it, and with encouragement from his father, he wanted to make this his own venture. Throughout his adventures, Toki had seen Digimon suffer at the hands of other Digimon or through outside forces such as the Dark Towers. These hardships have made it difficult for some to believe that a peaceful future is possible, and that’s when Toki knew what he had to do.
When he first arrived in the Digital World, Toki found that the support and altruism of others truly made the world an easier place to live in and navigate. This also positively influenced him as a person and he changed in a way he wouldn’t have if it weren’t for those acts of kindness. With this knowledge, he assumed a gathering of like-minded humans and Digimon could help spread this message and foster an ideal of camaraderie, personal growth, and lending a hand to those in need. Toki understands that this won’t be an easy task and knows that not everything will end in success, but to accept that and persevere regardless is something he believes will have a major influence on the rest of the Digital World.
How they succeed will vary from situation to situation, whether it be simple acts of kindness to less fortunate Digimon, combating invading forces, or simply spending an afternoon teaching others. While they have a place to call home, the Travelers have no preferred areas to operate in, believing the Digital World as a whole needs to be helped. The aim isn’t to amass fame and fortune, but to show the world what hope can truly do.
