Shibuya Station, 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon. A myriad of people are crowding between the trains. Some are arriving, wishing to indulge themselves in the culture and evening life of the Shibuya district. Some are leaving, using Tokyo's busiest train station as a mere pivot on their way from the centres of labour in the big city back home in the outskirts.
Miss Yukiko Armstong was one of the latter type.
After a long, tough day selling CDs and records to all sorts of people, her inner batteries were drained, and she was looking forward to a nice rest at home. A bath and a novel, maybe a movie on her laptop. The sky was the limit. However, her train of thought was derailed on its way to relaxation when she ran into a police barrier in between train lines. Sabotage, the crowd whispered among themselves. Someone had severed an electric cable and shut down part of the station. The station maintenance crew was on it as they spoke. Yukiko sighed. There goes the evening. If this went any way like it did the last time it happened, she would not be home until 8 in the evening. She turned around, intending to head to the nearest store to grab something to read, when something caught the corner of her eye. Someone was watching her. Or...rather, it was something. While her rational mind tried to tell her this was just a child being silly, a voice standing right behind it screamed that children usually do not look cubic, or had horns. When her gaze wandered to meet the person, it ducked into a small side path of the station.
"What are you doing?", she asked herself as she walked to follow the person. "This is neither rational, nor polite". And yet, she could not stop her feet. Something was drawing her closer. The scent of mystery. As much as she shied away from danger, a part of her could not resist it. Especially when mystery was involved. She kept walking at a brisk pace, following the person, not noticing that she had left the public parts of the station behind...

The train had a problem and that was fairly normal; so there was no real call for alarm or the like. Up until it was found what had caused the issue; one of the electrical wires had been cut in such a fashion that would leave humans out of the equation. So of course whom did they call? Or rather whom did they ask to do a check over of a location?
AEGIS. AEGIS is who they would call normally; or at least inform them of the issue. Wether or not they'd have the man power to respond would be beside the point. However this time around they had the man power. In the form of one of their digimon members.
Or rather their only digimon member. K had nothing really better to do so why not send her out for once?
It didn't take her very long to get to the station, nor did it take her long to push past the mob of people waiting for the maintenance crews to finish. In reality they were waiting for her to solve this problem and then send in the crews. Or rather they were waiting for AEGIS' member to inform them that it had been taken care of or something.
She'd grumble softly and move off to the side, noting that there were a few people away from the 'mob' proper. Most of them likely loners but she couldn't help but notice someone briskly walking somewhere. Like they had somewhere to be or...
She'd trot quickly after them, checking her watch to keep track of the time. The next train would get here soon.. So she didn't exactly have much in the way of time. She'd huff out and through her helmet a soft voice would cut out. Seemingly played by nonexistent speakers, directed to the human that had their back turned.
"Where do you think you're going?"

The young woman jumped the very moment she heard the voice. The combination of her forward movement and her instinctive desire to turn around and apologise meant that she ended up stumbling over her own feet. She remained on the ground for approximately three seconds before she scrambled back to her feet and bent over, into an approximation of a nintey degree angle, as much as gravity would permit it.
"I am ever so sorry madam! I was just following someone and got lost! I swear this was not intentional!"
After ten more seconds passed she dared to get back up... ..only to hesitate when she saw the helmeted figure before her.
"...uuuh..."

The young woman in front of her was certainly the nervous sort, ranging from jumping from the digimon's voice. The tripping over herself from what looked like an attempted at both running away as well as trying to turn around quickly...
Then there was that awkward three seconds of K standing there baffled at what she was seeing; she'd reach up and rub her neck softly. It would be hard for people to tell her expression with this thing but that was the entire point of the choice of this helmeted look. Make it harder for people to play off of her emotions as she was still new to this world.
"That's fine, whom were you following?"
She hoped that it wasn't a digimon this young woman was following; that'd make it a bit more complicated. As if the digimon in question was theirs... or perhaps a friend of theirs? She'd need to know in both regards. Though when they paused and seemed to hesitate upon seeing her lack of definitive features the Renamon could only shake her head.
"And where did they go? Who are you?"
There was a brief pause as the Renamon briefly reminded herself that humans carried identifications and asking for that might make it a little easier to deal with one. Making it seem like it was just.. normal business might make them more privy to deal with her in return.
"Do you have some Identification I could see?"

Yukiko blinked. Those were three questions. That's three more than she felt comfortable answering to a stranger. She shifted uncomfortably in place, ringing for words.
"I...was following someone...s-s-someone...really small. They...uuuuuh....d-d-didn't look...right, s-s-s-o I..."
She stopped, face flushed red in embarrassment and nervousness. She coughed nervously, and tried to find even more words to form into an answer.
"They...uuuh...w-w-went down this hallway...m-m-m-my name is Yukiko Armstrong, I w-w-work in Akihabara...h-h-h-here, I got my passport and my old school ID..."
She fumbled around in her jeans pocket, pulling out a wallet made from blue-dyed leather with a vague wave pattern on it, in addition to the symbol of the Hiroshima prefecture printed on it in white. A part of her mind wondered why she was identifying herself to a stranger, but it was silenced by the vast majority which was too embarrassed to question what could be a police woman. Soon, she showed both her passport and her old school ID to the woman.

The young woman's first answer made the digimon pause. Someone that didn't look right? From a human that could mean a lot of different things; they did after all heavily focus on apperance and the like didn't they? The renamon tutted softly noting the slight bit of discomfort.
"Like were they sickly looking or...? Could you elaborate?"
She'd lean to look past Yukiko, could this lead into the locale where the damages were done or perhaps it was just hiding down there? She'd quickly look over the school ID and the passport. Both having information that meant very little to her but the way that it was presented certainly made the digimon relax just a tich. Any digimon would likely panic when being asked for identification or come up with some really stupid Lie.
"Well everything seems to be in order. If you don't mind coming along with me so you can confirm who the other person is?"
A simple request if anything, a gloved hand came to rest on her hip and she'd stare at the young woman. If they didn't want to that would be fine, but it'd make it all that much harder if it turned out to be another human that.. well.. She wouldn't recognize.
"It's quite possible whomever you saw could be the vandal responsible for the train's delay.. and you know how people are when they're late somewhere."

Yukiko twirled one lock of hair around her index finger. She was slowly reaching her limits of human interaction.
"E-e-e-eh, the person l-l-looked small, and...uh, shiny? l-l-like, their skin was metallic...a-a-and they h-h-had h-h-horns? Ah, i-i-i-it c-c-could have been a c-c-c-ostume or something..."
She gulped, pulling on her collar as the nervousness drove the heat into her head.
"I w-w-w-would definitely come with you, o-o-o-officer!"

K frowned underneath her mask; it seemed like this human was getting rather nervous with the amount of questions K was putting out. Then there was the description of what the other 'person' looked like. K sighed softly and shook her head slowly.
That most certainly was a digimon. It likely was responsible for the train's delay if it was a mechanized digimon. Likely using the cable for a small power up or something. Or trying to feed itself and finding that the electricity was too much for it to handle.
"Don't worry you're not in trouble."
She'd chuckle softly and move past the youth gesturing for them to follow after her. She'd have to sit down and explain after this that the other couldn't tell anyone what they saw. If people learned that a digimon was responsible for this little incident it'd just add more fuel to that already growing fire.
"And technically I'm not an officer, just a Representative. Else I'd be flashing a badge everywhere I go."

Yukiko hesitated a bit, then followed her. She -could- have excused herself, using the very real excuse of having to go home soon. But, as so often with her, curiousity got the better of her.
"I-i-i-i am not? Th-th-th-that's a relief."
"..."
"...but, w-w-w-where are we going?"

"Well of course, you were not the one to do anything to the train cabling so why would you be? If anything you were a help to figure this out.."
She'd pause and look back at Yukiko, scratching at the back of her neck for a moment. She couldn't exactly scratch her head with the helmet on; for that would ruin the illusion of the holosuit in it's entirity.
"Going to go find this other person you were talking about; since they went this way why wouldn't we go?"
There was a small shrug and the digimon continued forward, if the human was okay with following still that would be good. But if they were still rather nerovus what else could the digimon really do? Force them to come with them? No. That would not do at all.
"Wouldn't be the first time something like this happened either..."

"O-o-oh, it's not? This kind of thing happens more often here...?"
Underneath her nervousness, Yukiko was intrigued. Why, if this is a common happenstance, then there must be a deeper mystery to this. She did enjoy reading mystery novels at home. Something about the unknown just drew her in, drew her attention...
...whatever this mystery is, she shall find it, as much as her brain was telling her that this was a -terrible- idea.

"Well I wouldn't say specifically here, but this wouldn't be the first time something similar to this happened."
K gave a shrug of her shoulders and paused as they came to the end of the hallway and were greeted with the immediate view of a more empty part of the station. There were certainly more wires sticking out of places than there should be and some of the lights were flickering because of it.
The digimon tutted softly and scanned the area carefully; if the other digimon was around. Which she had no reason to believe that it wasn't; they would likely still be trying to hide. After a few moments of scanning she spotted the wayward digimon that Yukiko had no doubt seen earlier.
"Ah yes. You there!"
She'd gesture with one of her hands and move forward obviously not aware of any apparent danger. Or at least that's what it seemed like; she had no real reason to believe it would attack her.
"You're going to have to stop and come with me if you don't want to get in trouble..."

Yukiko blinked in surprise. There was, indeed, the something she had seen. A small, cubical thing, looking like a robotic insect. While she did not know this now, one day she would know that this was a Kokuwamon, a Digimon. The Kokuwamon turned around to look at the two newcomers, and seized them up.
"LIFEFORMS SPOTTED. PROCEEDING WITH THREAT ANALYSIS."
The beetle-like robot's eyes lit up green, then its head rotated.
"THREAT LEVEL DEEMED AS LOW. PROCEED TO LOAD TRASHTALK.EXE ... ... COME AT ME, MEATBAGS"
The insect promptly struck a fighting pose and gave a "come at me" gesture.

K glanced back at Yukiko; they seemed to recognize the individual that was on the other side of the room. Though the reaction that the Kokuwamon had when renamon had addressed them was far from what she was hoping.
A threat analysis mixed with some trash talking; the digimon almost face-palmed from the sheer fact that this rookie likely had no idea what it was dealing with . She'd take a few more steps and put her hands on her hips staring down at the insect.
"I don't think you want to do that. The more trouble you cause the worse it'll be for everyone."
She'd huff in irritation eyeing the Kokuwamon; what was she supposed to say other than that? She wasn't about to trade insults with this thing as it likely was just some baby digimon that found it's way here with the way it was acting. Did it have any interactions with humans? She doubted that really.
"You might as well power down bud. You're not going to get any kind of fight here."

Yukiko was baffled. Just...what is this? A robot? Why was it trash talking? Who programmed it? There are too many questions and too little answers! And why was the policewoman acting like this was a minor inconvenience? Just...what is going on?
The Kokuwamon's head spinned. It hopped, and struck another pose.
"NEGATIVE. THIS UNIT WAS DESIGNED TO RE-ARRANGE YOUR FACE IF YOU TRY TO FIGHT IT. THIS UNIT GIVES YOU ONE MORE CHANCE TO ATTACK ON YOUR OWN TERMS, OTHERWISE THIS UNIT WILL KICK YOUR KEISTER FROM HERE TO OSAKA."
