This would be the first time that she had been to a proper medical appointment practically in her entire life as a digimon. The last time that she had been here wasn't so much one as it was just a walk in with a good reason to skip over the usual formal hub bub.
The stingmon was pleasant enough; at least from what she could tell. Was it because he knew about the whole ordeal with the valintines blind date? Or was it perhaps he could read the situation? Or maybe she was just overthinking this...
But there was a lot to think about as she sat quietly on the clean 'bunk' that sat in this patient room. Rather than being in the general waiting area she had been quickly put in here. She'd gingerly place a hand over the spot that the holy symbol still floated and gently closed her eyes. A soft sigh escaping from her muzzle.
"Slowly getting closer I think. Hang in there Jesmon."
There was an odd twinge through her body and the shutmon felt her brow raise a little bit. It would be the first time that something like this had occured? Were the cores anxious for this to turn over? Were they going to be ultimately happy about this whole thing?
She had no idea honestly and all she could at the moment was twiddle her thumbs. Biting her lower lip with a soft but obviously pained sigh escaping again. She couldn't tell but the pressure of the room had changed, and a crack had started to appear on her back. Data of some kind wisping out of the crack.
Something was going to happen soon.

There was a definite, uneasy feeling in the air.
This one felt quite a bit different than the last few times Mikemon had seen K. Instead of the tensity of invading the prison, though, this one had a more 'uncertain' vibe to it, and honestly, the doctor was trying to shake it out of his head. Work on creating the artificial core out of Lucemon's totem had been proceeding smoothly enough, and right now it was just a matter of keeping tabs on the Shutmon's condition. Then again, the unknown time limit of K's own stability put quite a bit into question...
Right, no reason to look so concerned! Giving a deep breath outside the room, Dr. Mikemon pressed his way in, giving a nod to the Shutmon. "Alright, K, let's - K?" Oh, hell, something was wrong: seeing that pained expression on her face, the Mikemon was quick to move to her side, quickly climbing up on the table. Even without the orb, a quick scan of her frame already revealed that her data was in slight disarray. "Deep breath, K, deep breath." Just what was causing this? "Talk to me, have you recently been in a fight? You wake up feeling sick?"
There were several possible explanations - though, as the cat circled around, getting a look at her back, the doctor's eyes locked onto that crack. "... Lie on your front side, please." Carefully, the cat would look over the edges of that wound, and the trait of the data floating out of it.
Damn it... now?!

She could feel the pain easing in in such a fashion that made it hard to notice at first. It was gradual and it was only up until that it started to be throughout her body that she truly noticed it.
She jolted a little bit; looking up from her musings as she was addressed. Did something look wrong with her to the point of it being external. She'd manage a small pained breath that sounded more like a question than actually breathing.
Then Mikemon told her to take deep breaths, which of course she did but it just made the pain go from a dull sense to something more sharp. She'd wince a little bit and drawl out a breath. It felt light; and she was started to feel light headed ontop of that.
"Se-several fights... Nothing major, I didn't.. need to Digivolve or anything."
She'd put a hand onto her head, flinching visibly as she could feel the cat looking her over. Something deeper let out a little snarl and the shutmon shuddered but followed what the cat said.
"I've been waking up in other forms, th-the other day I... "Woke up in something I hadn't been in before. Something big but before I could get to a mirror I shunted down.... Do you think she's trying to g-get out?"
It was painfully obvious that the crack was widening. The data that was trailing out was thickening; soon there was going to be a crescendo and there was nothing they could do.
"Jesmon's been t-talking to me more too..."

Yup: now. Right now, as a matter of fact: hearing K's explanation, and seeing her pained expression and a crack like a wound from a demented blade, the Mikemon had no doubt as to what was about to happen... and there was little he could do, but try and delay it! Gritting his fangs, he gave a tap to the emergency communication button, and spoke out:
"Stingmon. Bring that case over. Now."
Past that, though, the Mikemon had to do what he could: putting both of his hands on the sides of that crack, he started to let forth a strong amount of his healing energy, a green glow warmly pressing to the sides of that crack. His tone was careful, though the Mikemon kept himself honest: "It's earlier than I planned, K, but just remember. You're you, no matter what Jesmon or the rest say in your head." He gave a nod, the door to the room giving a click, the Stingmon and Mikemon giving a small nod to each-other.
For the moment, all the cat could do was plead: "If you can hear me, you 'blue' knight, she's doing this for you. Hold it together for ten more god damn minutes!"

All she could do was just lay there; the pain was starting to get to the point of being absolutely overwhelming. She'd shift underneath the ministrations of the Mikemon's healing energy. There was warmth in it; a level of desperation.
She'd let out a smooth sigh and put a hand to her head. She'd turn slightly and look back at the mikemon; if anything she was starting to look a little more sickly than when she had come in. Like just getting here had set off something in one of the cores....
"R-right... Niether of.. The ones that agreed to this whole thing have been doing..."
She'd visibly flinch and the steady stream of data turned wispy for a moment before continuing on un abated. The crack steadily widening but was thankfully being slowed by the healing energies that were being pushed into her body. At one point it halted all together but if the attention waned it'd just continue on.
There was even a small light starting to creep out from the crack, the color was close enough to be the usual light of digivolution that some would know to be K's... but obviously something was off. K ended up speaking after a few long moments but it wasn't her, it was something else entirely.
"I'm trying the hardest I can. But Gracenovamon is threatening to overwhelm the link that's been established for so long... I've placed 'K' to the side as the level of pain was threatening to overwhelm her completely. Whatever you're doing, do it quickly..."

There was no doubt what was happening at this point, and with the crack's widening barely halted by Mikemon's desperate healing, he was doing all he could to try and keep this together. It was difficult, of course: the data slow had stopped, but the moment Mikemon removed his hands, the built-up torrent would likely release all at once.
Unfortunately, Mikemon would have to move his hands to work on the core. As Jesmon's words echoed through the room, the Stingmon stepped inside, setting a black case right on the table next to the bed. "I'll do what I can, Jesmon," the cat started, "but I need you to do even more than your hardest. Once I move my hands..."
The knight knew what would happen. Regardless, the Mikemon whispered 'something' underneath his breath, as that warm, green glow faded away from his paws. He quickly moved over, clicking open the clasps on the case. Opening the box revealed something surreal: it looked like a ball of tightly bound fractal code, remnants of the totem's data intertwined with a few other sources. Right now, the Mikemon didn't have time to worry about 'perfecting' it: drawing his sphere, he placed one palm atop the ball, holding up the crystal with another, so he could peer deeply into that data.
The fractal code started to spin, tighter and tighter, Mikemon's eyes straining in focus...

There was practically nothing but pain for her to deal with; it was in every shred of her being and being taken to the side did nothing to save her from the sheer level of it that she was experiencing. Even the gentle ministrations that seemed to soothe the surface did nothing for the inner workings that threatened to rip apart.
There was quite a lot of this gentle blue light all over the place that she could see, some red but a distinct lack of the green that gracenovamon seemed to use. There was a muffled feeling of someone addressing her in some manner, likely on the outside.
She could feel jesmon somewhere, doing his best to help keep the data together. But even if he and examon worked together the sheer impact that the data was under from the age old links breaking was starting to have some really bad effects...
On the outside; it was obvious things were worsening. The pigment on the shutmon's fur was bleeding out. Slowly getting to the point of it being stark white. Even the metal of the shutmon's armor seemed to lose color for a moment; but before it could lose too much....
Well the mikemon took his hands off at the wrong moment. It was as if he was only managing to hold back the inevitble by a few moments at best. While he was dealing with the core there was a loud almost overbearing snapping sound.
It almost sounded like a choarus of voices all yelling at once before the crack on the back of the shutmon shattered open. A deathly pale orb of green floated out after a few long painful moments.
"FREE AND THEY YET REMAIN TRAPPED. THIS COULD ONLY BE THE OUTCOME BECAUSE OF YOUR FOOLISH MEDDLING."
The core didn't stay around to gloat however, as fast as it appeared the orb vanished into a small portal.
The moment the core was gone, there was another loud sound, one of many voices sighing in relief as the crack snapped shut. Though there was quite obviously an beyond ugly scar going from the top of the shutmon's head all the way down to even her tail's tip. The crack had almost split her in half....
"N-not a second too soon.... Is it.. Too late?"

GraceNovamon's escape was inevitable.
Mikemon knew this - the moment he took his paws off of the Renamon's back, one or more of those cores was going to break free - and the feline wasn't entirely sure if K would survive the ordeal! That loud, sickening crack filled the room, and GraceNovamon's voice and appearance radiated out with a sickly green light. Though the Stingmon looked on in shock, the doctor simply clenched his fangs tight, putting all of his focus on the incomplete core! Damn it... damn it, K, you'd better still be there!
Aside from Jesmon's voice, it almost looked like the Shutmon was a husk - like the past shell of an insect who had long flown off in the desert air. "Don't touch her." The Mikemon's words came as a stern warning to the Stingmon, the insect giving a nod as he slowly stepped away.
For a full minute, the room would be in silence. Mikemon kept his full focus, even through the tragedy of GraceNovamon's escape, knowing he couldn't even spare a second for grief. After what seemed like an eternity, however, the core was finished: a clear, shining ball of light, with a light-blue tinge throughout. This was the doctor's best effort, and K's only hope.
Carefully holding that core, Mikemon moved right over to the table. The 'ball' was rested carefully over K's cracked back, the doctor letting out a careful, tired sigh.
"Can you hear me, K? Even if its just a little, focus all you can. You need to load it."

The shutmon wasn't moving, there was an awful amount of stillness from the now white furred individual. It was several long, painful moment before anything stirred from the digimon. A finger twitch and gentle but painful exhalation; which was followed by the steady rasp of breathing.
An ear flicked at the sound of a voice and the shutmon shifted a little bit, almost as though it was going to try to push itself up.. But it ended up struggling for a few moments before limply flopping against the 'bed'.
During that long silent minute the shutmon didn't move; there was so much going on internally it was hard to really tell what was actually going on on the outside. However when the doctor came over eventually there was a noticeable reaction to when he placed the orb over the shutmon's cracked back.
It was something some digimon didn't do in their entire existence, some of them managed to do this particular action so many times that it became second nature to them. But here and now? It was a bad sign. Or at least it would feel like a bad sign.
The gentle light of digivolution took hold of K's broken form but something was clearly wrong, like the data was muddled up or there was just a missing piece. But the form didn't stay still like it was usually supposed to during this transition. Instead a third hand shot up and roughly grabbed the 'ball' that rested on their back.
Like a drowning man it held onto this ball for a few long minutes. The light of digivolution not fading even if the form shifted and warped. Eventually the light would vanish and rather than laying down on the bed... She was upright and sitting; tail slowly swishing from side to side.
Her form still lacked the usual pigmentation that Renamon's had, her fur was stark white from head to toe and her eyes were an unusually sharp blue color. the few bits of cloth that she normally wore were deep red and the symbol of jesmon was emblazoned on either of her gloves rather than the usual symbol.
The largest change was the cloak that was now draped over her shoulder, the hood of course was laid back; allowing the digimon unrestricted view of the room.
K would be sitting there blankly; her hands calmly on her lap for a few long moments. The digimon flinched visibly after a little while and looked down at her hands. Her voice was soft, still undeniably K's but there was a firm presence of power that wasn't there before.
"......He had to make a few adjustments the d-data is still being pulled in but he's got a majority of the core."

This was really the moment of truth: if K, or at least some semblance of her, was still there, then the core would likely be drawn to her body. Even if she didn't initialize the absorption herself, systems craved stability, and this core would provide that. Well... if the core was complete, anyway.
Each agonizing second that the core rested against the Shutmon's back without a response, though, the Mikemon grew more and more tense. Did he mess up? Was his theory wrong from the start? Would it take hours? Theories on top of theories filled his head, but as her form started to shift, like it was about to rend apart, the cat called out:
"K!"
Those words were met with a snap, a particular hand gripping right around that ball. With a blink, the core finally started to fade inside, the light of her transformation starting to normalize...
... And the result was stunning. The white color might have been attributed to a blanching of her data, but the rest of her form spoke of an astounding transformation. That holy mark remained, but both her gloves and her cloak were reminiscent of Hackmon's coloring. But as she stayed quiet, both the doctor and the assistant looked on. When her voice finally called out?
"Oh, thank Sovereign." Mikemon sighed in relief, dark circles of fatigue already formed under his eyes, as he stepped forward. "Sorry to be so sudden, but..." the Mikemon grabbed a stethoscope, and a flashlight, meant for checking ears. "I have to make sure everything's in line."
And should K allow it, well, the Mikemon would go through the steps: pulse, ear, eye, temperature, reflex. Just to make sure the body was settling in just right.

K rubbed her muzzle a little bit and eyed her stark white fur after a few long moments. She could tell that what had happened had stressed out Mikemon; understandably so considering their relation and just the desire of figuring out if this would work or not.
"Indeed... either they had a hand in it or my luck has started to turn around a bit..."
There was a soft but somewhat loose chuckle that resonated oddly. She'd raise her brows a little bit and nodded when the other 'suddenly' wanted to check things over. Why wouldn't he want to make sure it worked? This was a first wasn't it? using an external core, the entire physical core to correct something like this.
"It's all right, I sort of expect you to continue doing your job after implanting the core in the first place..."
The mikemon would of course go through the steps as expected.. But rather than the standard results. He'd get three separate readings for the pulse, temperature and anything else that wasn't immediately represented by a physical body. Her reflex was fine and her eyes acted as though they should of. Though there was a noticeable change in them as well as time passed.
"It feels rather strange having this much... available to me. I can feel the distinction between my form and the next, rather than it being muddled."

Things might have been out of the ordinary, but that didn't mean they were unexpected. Of course, K still had three cores - but the difference now, was that she had one all to her own. Jesmon might have had more of a say in her appearance, but as time went on, the Mikemon seemed more and more relaxed, less 'curious' and more 'going through the motions'.
As the Stingmon excused himself, going back to the front desk, the Mikemon's ear twitched at K's statement. She could now tell what her next form would be, clearer than before? "Don't worry, that's the sign of a healthy form, K." The cat gave a nod, and soon enough, he stepped back, resting the stethoscope around his neck. "I wouldn't say your form is entirely normal. You still have three cores, and with that, a handful of the vitals I check for show up three times. And I wouldn't say you're ready to start running laps, but..."
Considering it for a moment, the cat gave a nod. "I was worried with how you looked when you came in, but the core seems to be working. You should stay overnight, just so we can keep an eye on you, but you'll be fine."
With that, he took a step back... and tilted his head towards the sink. "Though, go take a look at yourself in the mirror. The core did a little more than just stabilize you."

The renamon rubbed her head and gazed around, noting the stingmon leaving the room with a small but somewhat uncertain smile creasing onto her face. She'd blink however when he told her that was a sign of a healthy form. She brought her hand to rub her chin, mulling over the idea of being able to slide between the forms more naturally. As before it felt like something needed to be done with each and everyone of them, such a massive exertion on her part...
"It is? I suppose that's good to know."
She'd watch the mikemon carefully, blinking a few times as he told her a few things. That her form wasn't entirely normal, that she still had three cores and the handful of vitals ended up showing up three times. As well as his theory she wasn't ready to 'run laps'. She didn't feel like she should be doing too much, maybe lazing around a little and getting back up to speed.
"I could tell, it was bleeding off of you. It's pretty much what made me notice you immediately. I don't think I would want to go anywhere... I don't think traveling will be an option for me till Jesmon figures out how to align the data."
She'd look towards the sink and find herself frowning when he suggested that she take a look at herself. After a few long moments she'd stand, her legs wobbling after first but allowed her to make her way over to it. She'd stare at the mirror blankly for a few moments before surprise etched on her face.
"I'd say the white is a good color for me. But the cloak? It seems out of place but.. Very right. Do you think it's because Jesmon has made more of an impact on me as a whole?"
There was a brief pause and she'd snort.
"....I wonder how I would be looking now if Examon had been my choice instead"

Well, unfortunately, it didn't seem like the core had set perfectly. As K explained that Jesmon still had to figure out how to align the data, the doctor gave a nod. "Well, I had to do what would have taken four or five hours in the span of four or five minutes, so Jesmon does have his work cut out for him. And that was after working to compile and shape the fractal code..."
The tired cat gave a yawn, taking a moment or two to shake out his head, as K would stumble over to the sink. For the first time, the Renamon got a good look of her new form - the white fur, the cloak, and the red gloves adorning her hands. "Unsurprisingly, those are Hackmon's colors. If I had to guess, I'd say that Jesmon himself picked that design himself... and honestly, it wears rather well." As for Examon, Mikemon shrugged! "Probably red fur and metal gauntlets in place of your gloves? It's hard to say!"
He'd add his own chuckle to that joke, before helping K along - not back to the observation table, but to a proper bed, just across the hall. She'd finally be able to get off her feet, and not have to lie against a sheet of paper. "Let me know if anything comes up - the call button's right here. I'd say try and stay off of your feet as much as you can, for now." Giving a smile, his tail gave a small flick behind him. A moment later, his expression grew a bit more neutral, the cat scratching the back of his head.
"... That was close, but... I'm glad you're alright, K."

The renamon looked somewhat still out of sorts. She was unused to this calm feeling and this general sense of knowing her place. It was sort of odd considering the last time she felt like this; was back in her inn. But being like this; being shaped like this and the gentle sensations that went along with it.. Was enough to make her somewhat happy. Not completely content as she still had things she wanted to address out and about. Her ears would flick and she'd frown slowly.
"He's chugging along at it by the sheer amount of grumbling I'm hearing in there. Should I be surprised that Examon seems to be lending a little bit of a hand?"
She'd turn her attention from the mirror and stared at the mikemon for a long few moments. She had never seen an hackmon outside of her mind and had figured that the form had been twisted somehow due to the lack of an actual physical one. But if this was somewhat like what one was supposed to look like [past the form proper] she couldn't really argue with the results.
"Thank you. I wasn't sure what would occur upon picking him. I figured maybe minor changes honestly but..."
K's face would twitch and spread into a smile after a few long moments of mulling over the idea of her having red fur and metal gauntlets.
"Nothing like this. But you're not wrong, it certainly does wear well... Might take a bit to get used to though..."
She was grateful for being led to a proper bed. The white furred renamon taking a seat on the side of the bed for a few moments gingerly running her hand along it before nodding to herself.
"The less activity I have the more Jesmon can concentrate on dealing with the data rather than keeping me up and active."
She'd return the smile and tilt her head when it grew a little more neutral. With a small chuckle she'd lean down and gingerly cupping one cheek of the mikemon.
"I am too. Any later and I fear we wouldn't be having this conversation. Or looking forward to other things."
She'd pause and consider something briefly before giving him a soft but somewhat firm hug. Gingerly patting his back for a few moments before ending the hug and sitting up properly, rubbing her muzzle somewhat awkwardly.
"Tomorrow I think I need to take a little bit of time and go through each form available to me, not to do anything strenuous mind you but simply see where each are at. If that's all right?"
