The afternoon was unbearably tense for Toki after his return from the Digital World and the revelation that came from the journey. His normally gentle expression was instead replaced by a mix of confusion and anger. He still couldn't believe that his father was involved in the Digital World at some point in the past. How long ago was this and why didn't he ever say anything about it to him? So many questions swam through his mind as he impatiently tapped his foot. "Come on...hurry up." he muttered under his breath.
Antylamon spoke to him in his mind, clearly worried "Toki, you're upset and I understand, but please calm down before he arrives. You don't want to do something you will regret...if not for yourself, think of the people around us. There must be a reason behind all of this. I am still unsure why your relationship with him is so strained but I simply want to understand it."
Toki grit his teeth and ran a hand through his hair "Whatever reason it is, it's not good enough. If he knew...why would he move to Ishikawa? That world is just too...important to leave like that. And he never told me. Did he never trust me enough to tell me? Damn it...what did he do there? How did he know Aylin? This all just doesn't make any sense."
"Consider what you're saying. Would you have told him about the Digital World when given the chance? Why didn't you tell him before? You have to see things from his point of view before making rash judgments."
"I-I know, but...I didn't tell him because...I don't know I suppose I thought he would have thought Shibuya was a bad influence on me and would have forced me to come home."
"And you have a portal to the Digital World whenever you need it. Are you sure you were not just worried for his safety and didn't want to get him hurt? Did you not want him to worry about you? Regardless, the train is here. Please think about what I have said."
Toki watched the train stop at the station and looked over the different doors until he noticed his father, Yosuke. Yosuke walked out in a grey button-up shirt, white undershirt, and a pair of well-kept jeans. Understated color schemes, not unlike his son. He stood a little shorter than Toki, but not by much. As far as physical appearance went, he looked very similar to Toki, just older and with shorter hair. Yosuke spotted Toki and signaled him with a wave "Hey! Good to see you again. Has everything been treating you well over here?" he asked. He seemed jovial. Pleasant.
Yosuke approached Toki and frowned a bit seeing the expression on Toki's face "Hey now, what's that face for? Rough times at the university? Well there shouldn't be much of that left before a break right? I'm sure you're doing fine. If not, that's what a learning experience is for."
Toki looked away and sighed "No, don't worry. It's got nothing to do with university." he felt conflicted. This wasn't how he remembered him at all. The stern glares he remembered were no where to be seen on such a pleasant, supportive father. Was he just remembering things wrong? If so, why? He shook his head "I think I'm meeting a couple of my friends soon. If you want to meet them, let's wait over there." he pointed at the entrance to the closed, unused terminal.
Yosuke smiled softly "Ah, you've made friends! Good, good. I hoped the big city would help get you out of that shell. I'd love to meet them." he said as he followed Toki. He glanced up at the terminal. He looked like he was reminiscing about something fondly.

Haru wasn't the type to put off important stuff all willy-nilly; the guilt of doing so ate at the girl's psyche if she just ignored it for too long. Couple some anxiety towards her classes and a couple of term papers and one had a recipe for anxiety... Therefore it was an absolute breath of relief for Haru that she FINALLY had that stuff done now. Meant she could go goof off in the Digital World with her friends finally... it was nearing around the time that everyone in the Digital Field Club was planning to go out on their first mission.
HOWEVER, Haru did have one little thing at least planned today. As the girl stumbled somewhat blindly through the train station (her D-Arc clipped to her bag and VERY close to her side), the girl was scanning her surroundings for a young man with dark-brown hair (actually a pretty rare sight in Japan).
She had only met Toki once, but Haru felt like she had became fast friends with the Spirit Wielder... with her own personal work done, she finally had a bit of space to plan out a trip to the Digital World with him! As friends of course... nothing weird with that, right? She knew Tawna was eager to at least not be cramped up in her apartment all day... She felt sorry for the feline alot for not being able to have the open space to prowl that they deserved. In a way, a few digital days back in the Digital World she hoped would get some of that excess energy of Tawna's out of the Meicrackmon Vicious Mode's system.
Fortunately, it didn't take too long for the gogglehead to spot her target in question, standing by the unused terminal that led to the hidden Trailmon Station. "Hey! Toki! Over here!" she waved to the Spirit Wielder as she began to run towards, though paused as she noticed the older man standing by them. Her walking slowed down briefly as she stared at the older man, noting some of their similarities to Toki. "...? Are you... A relative by chance?" the girl paused and asked the stranger, giving Toki a mildly-confused glance that was equivalent to "why is this guy here".

How long had it been since she visited the human world? A couple weeks in their time? A couple months perhaps? She couldn't really remember and she didn't really care ultimately. The state of the world still was fairly the same since she last left it and the news wasn't exactly the most comforting. How did the human world stay so.... normal? Things didn't change super fast like they did in the digital world it felt but that was part of the strength that the humans seem to have. Their amazing long lasted stubbornness as a species.
What amused her the most was all of this was thought over a hot dog she got from a simple stand. It wasn't exactly the filling of foods but it did curb her hunger a little bit. Today of all days she had been asked to meet Toki at the train station. A place that she knew well enough and lived fairly close by. Thankfully she didn't have to bother wearing something terribly fancy but she still did like the idea of wearing nicer clothing. A simple red button up long sleeve shirt and some jeans that were supplemented by a pair of boots that she had purchased from an AEGIS subsidiary.
It was maybe a good five or so minutes of her shifting through crowds; flashing smiles and bowing her head to those that greeted her. She was known somewhat by the staff in the station as she used it constantly to get around when not using her bike. It took her another five or so minutes to even get to the location that Toki had asked her to come to. She'd blink owlishly however when she didn't only see one individual she knew... but two! The disguised digimon blinked a bit when she noted there was a third human standing by toki that looked oddly similar to them. With a small shrug she'd make her way over to them flashing a small smile to Haru and Toki. Offering a bow to the man that stood by him.
"Good to see you two again, I don't believe we've met Sir?"

Yosuke watched as both of Toki's friends showed up and offered them both a warm smile before bowing "Good afternoon! I am Yosuke Akiyama, Toki's father. It's such a pleasure to meet friends of my son. To see that he has branched out to meet others is what I've always hoped for him." he said.
Toki sighed and scratched the back of my head "I'm sorry for calling you two out today of all days...a lot's been going on and it slipped my mind that today was when he was coming to visit for a while." he explained "But yes, this is my dad."
"Oh, I'm sorry if this is an inconvenience. We haven't seen each other in over a year, so when the opportunity came to visit I took it without thinking about what he might be up to. But since we're all here, I'd love to hear about how you all met. Maybe we can even go get something to eat, how about that?" Yosuke suggested. It seemed clear where Toki got his friendly nature from, but something was off about Toki right now.
Toki seemed unusually stressed out over something as he ran a hand through his hair. There was a bandage on his right index finger around the joint. "Y-yeah...yeah that sounds good." he looked around for a moment. People paid this particular terminal no mind since for most people it didn't even seem to be in service. As a result, it was currently just the group gathered in the immediate vicinity. He didn't know how to approach this, though.
This behavior didn't go unnoticed by Yosuke "Are you really okay? If there's something you want to talk about, by all means, go ahead. I'll listen."
"Dad, do you know about..." he hesitated to say it directly "...do you know about the secret behind this terminal?" he managed to say softly. He clenched his fists a bit as he waited for an answer.
Yosuke's eyes widened a little "Ah...so that's what this is about." he sighed a bit, but managed to keep his smile "Yes, it's true. I know all about that world and its inhabitants. So you've learned about it too? It seems this is a family legacy after all. If you were so comfortable saying it within earshot of these two, I've reason to guess that they are involved as well?"
"Why didn't you ever tell me about it? My time there has been some of the most important of my life. Did you intend on hiding it forever?"
"No. In fact if you didn't already know, I was going to show you while I was here. As for why I didn't tell you before...there's a lot of reasons. Your safety, mostly. I wanted you to be prepared." he placed a hand on Toki's shoulder "Come on, let's go get something to eat and we can talk about this more after. Alright?"
Toki didn't really know how to respond. He felt like he was talking to a total stranger. Where was the stern scolding? The discipline? Confusion and doubt swirled through his mind as he nodded "Okay...yeah, let's go."
Yosuke offered a sympathetic smile "Alright. I hope you all like ramen. Around this time there's this great little ramen stand open near the station." he said as he motioned for the group to follow him. There was indeed a humble ramen stand a short walk from the terminals. Not very crowded, either.

Haru actually flinched slightly as another individual came up to them... greeting both her and Toki. The girl blinked awkwardly, gazing at their outlandish (but badass she did have to give credit though) outfit. A friend of Toki's perhaps? Actually, why were they acting like they knew her too? She didn't know this chick at all! Or... did she? Now she was just getting really freakin' confused now... Way too many questions here.
Okay... so this man here was Toki's father? Well, that at least made partial sense... actually heck, they both definitely had the same looks in a way... though Toki did look pretty stressed out just from the looks of things. It didn't sound like they meeting their dad here was what supposed to happen, so she couldn't blame him... still, she felt like there was something more to this.
Oh. Like they knowing about the Digital World. That made sense.
Wait what.
"Y-you know all about that world?" Haru asked in mild disbelief, actually surprised to see someone else like Mr. Akiyama aware of such a concept. Here she was thinking it was mainly just like young adults or kids who knew about Digimon, but here was Toki's father in the know?! What a small world... "A-apologies... I just am a lil' shocked to be meeting someone like you..." she swiftly apologized to the elder Akiyama, still mildly shocked to say the least.
Needless to say, even Toki seemed surprised too, though less so it seems than Haru. They REALLY did not look like they were having a fun time right now talking to their dad... she could only wonder why. She anxiously glanced over to the other person, still with a look of confusion on her face as she was trying to grasp the situation here. Meanwhile, her D-Arc clipped to her belt was buzzing as the 4-bit sprite of a Meicrackmon Vicious Mode bobbed on the LED-like screen.
Welp... Looks like their little trip was being postponed... for ramen of all things. Not that she hated ramen, but Haru definitely felt a bit like a fish out of water here. All she could hope was things didn't get too weird here soon.

"Good afternoon Mr. Akiyama. You shouldn't be too surprised, Toki is quite the friendly sort."
K would flash a small smile to Toki and then tilt her head a little bit as he seemed to be somewhat bothered by the fact that his dad was here. Perhaps scheduling for someone engrossed in school was more problematic than she had thought. She'd raise a small brow and give the two a small but somewhat accepting shrug.
"It's all right, the more the merrier right?"
She'd turn to look at the man that was Toki's father looking somewhat un-surprised to hear him mention the idea of getting food. She could go for a bite to eat, as the hot dog she had earlier hadn't really done much for her. However the response that toki had made her pause quickly; her eyes sliding from the pair of humans over to haru who seemed somewhat surprised to see her. The disguised digimon rubbed her neck and gave them a sheepish grin.
"...I suppose you've never seen me like this Haru. It's K. I thought I told you I worked around here? Maybe not... I think we were more focused on Tawna when we first met."
There was a moment where she was uncertain what to really follow up with and the Digimon was surprised to hear that Yosuke indeed knew about the digital world. But also knew about it's inhabitants. She'd look confused for a moment and looked between the two of them. There was a moment where she wasn't sure what to say but Yosuke seemed rather on the point of wanting to go and eat. Perhaps he just wanted to have a meal with his son? How long had they not seen one another. She'd glance at Haru and give a small shrug to the young woman.
"I suppose I could go for some Ramean, that's one of the things I wanted to try in Japan."

Yosuke nodded "I know it must be surprising, but the Digital World has been around for much longer than you might think." he said to Haru as he and Toki sat at the ramen stand. The two of them made their order when the cook asked them. He looked over at Haru "Hey now there's nothing to apologize for. It's understandable to be surprised when a surprise visitor shows up, especially if that visitor's your friend's dad." he chuckled softly.
He looked over at K "New to Japan are you? Your Japanese is really good. Wait, you're..." he thought about how she worded things "Ah, I see." he nodded "Looks like technology for you has advanced quite a ways since I've been there, eh? I can't tell the difference." he said. "In any case, I'm sure you'll appreciate the food here."
Toki knew that the others noticed how uncomfortable he was, but he wasn't exactly sure how to say anything right now. He waited patiently for his food "How's the dojo?" he finally managed to ask. It has been a while, so he wondered how everything was going back home.
"Great, actually. Not long after you left for Shibuya, I got a surprise new student. Do you remember that boy from your high school you had that..." he hesitated for a bit before looking between Toki, his friends, then back at him "...disagreement with? Well he came by and applied for classes. He was a bit of a troublemaker at first, but I think it did him some good. He wanted me to tell you he's sorry about what happened." he explained. His and Toki's food arrived. Haru's and K's would arrive as well whenever they ordered.
Toki didn't really say much about that as he seasoned the broth a little before he began to eat. It's been a while since he's been to a ramen shop, and at the very least his dad had good taste in these places. "Is that so...? Well I actually ran into his cousin a while back...first time didn't end so well, but the second time he actually wanted to apologize. I guess I have him to thank for the change of heart. Oh, right..." he looked at Haru and K "So there was this time in high school where I was attacked by another student who ran with the local thugs...he uh...pulled a knife on me and I had to defend myself It's how I got this." he pointed at the scar on his lip.
Yosuke stopped eating for a moment "Toki I know you don't like to think about it but you did more than simply defend yourself...you even admitted that you went too far. You put him in the hospital."
Toki flinched a bit "That...that was because he wouldn't stop, dad."
Yosuke shook his head "I remember hearing from various sources that you pinned him to the ground and started kept hitting him. You told me that you did. You felt awful for weeks..."
"No that's...that's not what happened." he kept eating, this time faster. "After the first hit he fell and hit something. That's what happened." he said, though he seemed so unsure. He stood up "I'll be back in a minute..." he said before he walked away.
Yosuke watched him walk away and sighed heavily "He was heartbroken, you know..." he said to K and Haru "He was very prideful of his training in the dojo. He spent so much time pushing himself to the limit again and again to better himself. I was always worried about him because he was so focused. Too focused. It negatively impacted his social life. I wanted to encourage him to branch out and make friends and new hobbies...but he never took to it. After what happened that day I think he changed. The regret of hurting him made him slow down a little." he said. He managed to smile again "So...thank you. For being his friends. I...don't know what's going through his head right now, but promise you'll always be there for him, okay? I need to step up as a father, myself. I'm worried that he's repressing things that he really shouldn't."
Soon Toki would come back and sit back down to eat. "Sorry, I got a message...so uh..." he looked at K and Haru "How have you two been? I'm sorry about being so spacey." he scratched the back of his head nervously.
Yosuke smiled and took out his wallet to pay for the food as Toki spoke with his friends.

It actually took a moment for Haru to realize what the woman in front of her was saying... at least before realizing that singular letter they mentioned was their name! Holy crap, she almost forgot about K... They just looked so different now that it was hard to associate them with the kind fox-lady she and Tawna met prior. "Oh! Oh, sorry K! Didn't realize you were like, in a Holosuit." she apologized swiftly, glancing back at Mr. Akiyama and Toki as she followed them to the stand. At least Toki's father seemed to understand that it was a little bit of an awkward situation, though she could manage. All she hoped was Toki could too.
The girl personally ordered a pretty cheap chicken ramen mix with garlic seasoning, she paying close attention to Toki and his father's conversation. She couldn't help but wince slightly at the thought that someone would pull a knife of all things on Toki... he was too nice for that kinda stuff! All things considered, she was at least mildly happy to see that she wasn't the only former bully around. It in a way at least helped rekindle her views that humanity still wasn't all bad. "I'm glad at least they had a change of heart. I was a bully too once, and I think it's never too late to change." she ended up commenting... though then the conversation got dark.
Toki beating down on the guy...? That couldn't possibly happen, could it have? That just seemed so impossible, especially considering the person at hand. Toki was just... so nice. She found it hard to believe, though refused to say anything initially, gazing at Toki as he walked off briefly with a look of discomfort.
"I... I didn't know. I... I guess I didn't realize what exactly I was saying just now." she apologized to Mr. Akiyama, glancing behind her to try and spot where the young man went. She'd have never thought that Toki had went through emotional turmoil like that. Guess they've all done things they weren't proud of. "I feel bad for him now. It must be difficult to just try to walk away from something like that." she commented, though soon hushed as Toki soon came back.
"I'm fine. Tawna is too, though we're still working out little things. She's getting better though." she spoke, twiddling her thumbs a bit awkwardly. "We did decide to meet up with some other tamers about a Digital Field Club. Like try to learn about the Digital World and Digimon a bit more in-depthly... just a little hobby, ya know?"

The disguised digimon didn't really know the relationship toki had with his father. She didn't know what he had done or what he meant to the youth. She only knew the individual standing in front of her was his father and that information alone made her curious. Of course Haru seemed surprised that it was her of all things!
"I might of forgot to mention that I do have a job out in the human world... It's still good to see you Haru."
K took an easy seat next to the two of them, rubbing her neck a little bit as he addressed them. So Yosuke had just dropped in expectantly? That wasn't really a surprise.. there were many a time that Sebastian did the same thing back in the digital world when she still ran her inn.
"Newer I suppose. I'm part of an organization that deals with threats in Japan so having my Japanese be on par is important as most everyone here speaks it."
She'd stretch a little and crack her neck, letting out a soft sigh. These holosuits were certainly handy! If she hadn't followed the suggestions of Sophie she imagined she'd be experiencing a very different situation right now.
"Oh this? Well. I've been lead to believe this version was crafted by individuals in japan. Not sure exactly but it's certainly based from around some equipment back where I'm from."
She'd grin just a little bit at the mention of them enjoying the food here. The disguised digimon hadn't tried the ramean around this area or in japan at all. She wasn't really big into noodle dishes but she had to try new things right? She'd quietly listen as the two spoke.
The digimon placed a separate order and thanked the stall attendant once they received their order. K shifted slightly and while eating she'd tilt her head. She stared curiously at Toki as he addressed them; her eyebrows shot up at the mention of toki defending himself as well as how he got the scar on his lip.
K shifted and watched Toki for a few moments, noting the increase of the eating speed. Was this topic uncomfortable? yosuke seemed to remember the event differently and the two of them argued a little bit. Eventually the youth walked away. She'd turn her head to look at Yosuke and let out a soft sigh.
"He's a good person Mr. Akiyama. Like everyone they have trouble when dealing with certain things, stressful things. He's grown quite a bit since I met him the first time and you'd be surprised at what he's capable of."
The digimon quirked a brow at him asking them to promise to always be there for him. Followed quickly by the statement that he needed to step up as a father.
"I don't need to promise something like that. Being a friend of someones means you'll be there for when it gets rough for them. I've already done so before and I'll do so again in the future."
The digimon shifted a little bit and looked to toki as he addressed them once more. She'd give a small smile and chuckle.
"I've been fine, busy though. But it's a nice change from just the wandering I did before. Trust me, it's fine. Some days can be rough."
The digimon chuckled a little bit and grinned at Haru, it seemed as though she was the sort that would be a good friend for Toki. The sort of things she said and how she addressed both him and his father certainly made it easier for her to understand how these people grew. How tamers and spirit users interacted was certainly fascinating to her.
K felt her eyebrows raising just a bit at the mention that she was a part of a club that's whole purpose was trying to learn about the digital world and the Digimon that were in there. It was certainly a large hobby to have...
"That's quite an undertaking but certainly will be worth it in the end I beleive. If you ever need any help Haru please just let me know. I might be busy, but that doesn't mean I can't help friends."
The disguised digimon turned her head to Toki, this certainly went for him as well.
"Perhaps when we have a bit of privacy Toki, you could tell him about your partner? Your father might enjoy them quite a bit."

Yosuke was fascinated by the concepts of holosuits. It was a way for Digimon to casually interact with humans without them seeming too imposing or different for a first impression. Sure he would have preferred them not having to hide at all, but there was no doubt in his mind that this helped. He would have responded to what Haru said, but that was when Toki had sat back down. He didn't want to upset him with bringing up the past too much.
Toki managed a little smile at what Haru said about the Digital Field Club "Sounds like that can really develop into something special if you all keep at it. I'd actually be interested in that when and if you have room for more members...that sounds fun." he said, going back to his meal for a moment. Maybe he had to find something to focus on instead of wander aimlessly. He had enjoyed the times he helped others. He helped someone meet their Digimon partner and saved someone's life in Shibuya's forest. He had done a lot for others recently. Did he really have to feel so bitter about the past, especially if he seemed a bit confused on the details?
Talk of an organization that defends Japan from threats...there wasn't any shortage of those, though it peaked Yosuke's interest "Well I thank you for your help keeping the country safe from harm, whatever threats rear their heads." he said. He smiled warmly when K assured him that Toki is a good person "I'm glad he has friends like you who trust in him so." he was curious to see how Toki handled himself in the Digital World. He reflected back on his own times there when he first started. Knowing that they had his back because the genuinely viewed Toki as a friend made him feel much better.
Toki looked up from his ramen to speak to K "Good to hear you're keeping busy and that things seem to be going alright for you. I know how it feels to have rough days..." he said. He nodded in agreement when K offered to help Haru with the Field Club "Even if I'm not part of it, I'd love to offer my help when you all need it."
It seemed like Toki began to calm down a bit around his father "I'm...sorry. I don't really have my head on straight. Not sure if I ever really did to be honest." his animosity seemed to degrade into guilt. He finished his ramen "So...if you want to know more about my partner, how about we head over to the terminal? That should be a good place to talk about all of this, right?"
Yosuke looked happy that Toki calmed down a little bit, though deep down he was still worried about him. "Yes, yes. I'd love to hear about what you've been up to. I'd like to meet your partner as well." he finished his own bowl and stood up. The two of them would wait until K and Haru were ready to go before making their way back to the terminal.

"I think we could always get more help... Its definitely like a hobby for us all. Who knows if it'll expand into something bigger later though." Haru smiled at both Toki and K's offers. Yukiko probably would have not minded they getting extra help, though poor girl was always so shy all the time anyway. Still, she was glad to see that the others had a good opinion of the club! "Th-thanks! Its not going to be easy, but we'll get there... We even have a guy with a medical license on-board!"
Of course said member was also a very short cat... but hey, her best friend half the time was one too!
At the same time, Haru could not help but feel even more able to relate to Toki. He was a good person that had some kinda stupid crap happen to him, and she couldn't blame him for that. "It's alright Toki... I mean, gonna be honest with you, I never quite have mine on completely screwed!" she joked, giving Toki a strong pat on the back and a reassuring smile. "So how about we all stop being so glum and get on the move? I am sure Antylamon would like to meet your father..."

The disguised digimon shifted slightly but continued to eat as she listened to toki, haru and toki's father speak to one another. What did she really have to add to all this? She was just a bystander it felt but that wasn't really a bad thing. She'd give the human elder a small smile at the thank you.
"I suppose you're welcome, It's the right thing to do and I wouldn't be surprised if others that toki knows or toki himself would do the same thing."
K would rub her chin and finish off the food that she had before turning to get a second helping to go. She had a feeling that she wouldn't be coming back here for a long time anyways. After all her breaks on her patrols weren't getting shorter but she just had more ground to cover.
"I'm glad that he's around, he's making a differnce in the lives he interacts with regardless of how he does without really realizing it."
The renamon shifted to look at toki giving the human a big grin. It didn't look odd thankfully since this holosuit was much higher quality than she had initially expected. The full range of facial expressions made it a treat to interact with humans.
"I'm fully expecting the summer to be busy and rough; lots of people having tons of free time so... more people likely to see what they shouldn't you know?"
The digimon shfited to gaze quietly at the ramean stand before her order was quickly brought to her. She'd hop off of the place she was sitting and stretch. Say what you want but her meditation even long term had some effects on her sitting in one place for too long!
"A medical licence eh? How long has he been practicing? I've been told human practitioners are pretty reliable!"
She'd give haru a small but somewhat cheerful smile before going to join the two standing and waiting for the both of them. She wasn't exactly worried to say the least about how this would go but honestly...
K was looking forward to see what sort of things would come from interacting with the three here. Well five if you counted the spirit and tawna wherever that particular mon was. She was more surprised that haru didn't have tawna in a holosuit or something and attached to their arm somehow...

Yosuke nodded at K "I'm glad to hear it. It sounds to me like he's doing what he can because he feels it's the right thing to do. It looks like it's had a positive impact on him." he said with a warm smile. He listened to K's worries about the upcoming summer "I suppose you're right about that. While I love that world, I'm not sure if people are ready for widespread knowledge of it. It could lead to more harm than good if it's just revealed to them out of no where, especially if it's in the form of a battle or an attack of some sort. I trust you all to keep both worlds safe. Uh...no pressure." he laughed.
Toki smiled softly as he listened to Haru talk about the club and her endless optimism about moving forward. Maybe she was right about all of this. Was being so negative about all of this the right way to deal with it? "Maybe you're right...yeah, I think dad would like to meet Antylamon..." he admitted. He wondered what the two of them would talk about. If he was really projecting his own frustrations, maybe his father and Antylamon were more alike than he realized. They would soon step inside the terminal, away from the crowds who avoided the abandoned area.
Yosuke's was certainly interested to hear of this development "Antylamon? Well you always liked rabbits, so it's quite fitting that you have one as a partner. We're in the terminal now, so may I meet them?" he asked.
The mention that he liked rabbits made Toki blush a little bit, but it was true. He never owned one as a pet, but he loved them all the same. Animals in general, really. He snapped out of it for the time being and nodded "Well, alright. Antylamon, we're clear. You can come out now."
Antylamon appeared behind Toki, its form see-through and ghost like. He bowed politely to Yosuke "It's a pleasure to meet you. Toki has been a great friend through our journeys together and it is my privilege to meet the one who raised him."
Antylamon's appearance came as quite a shock to Yosuke "What is...?" he paused for a moment, realizing what this actually meant "You use spirits? Toki...are you okay? You haven't been pushing yourself too hard, have you?" he asked, knowing that spirit users, especially those who were new, tended to get hurt far more often just due to the nature of how they fought.
Toki frowned a bit "I'm fine. You don't have to worry so much." he said. Suddenly he heard a noise from his coat pocket. He pulled out a device from his pocket. The D-Terminal he had purchased during his last trip to the Digital World. It was a message from Aylin saying she had found the location of the next part of the spirit. Sure enough, Toki's digivice began to respond to a faint signal. "...It looks like it's time for me to go get the next totem. A friend of mine says it's somewhere in a place called the Shining Sea."
Yosuke nodded "Well in that case we'll come with you. We're all here, so I'm hoping we would be able to back you up on this."
For a moment Toki considered it, but something seemed wrong "...No. I can handle this on my own. I...I don't want to bother you all with this. Last time all I did was talk after being defeated by the one guarding the Human Spirit totem. I'm tired of being so weak compared to everyone else." he took out his digivice and opened a portal to the Digital World "I'm going on my own this time. I'll prove I'm better than this." he said before he stepped through.
"Toki wait!" Yosuke called out before the portal closed "This isn't good...the Shining Sea, he said? K, Haru, please, go after him. I need to find an old friend...I'll be with you all shortly. Just...stop him from doing anything reckless. I had hoped he had stopped being so critical of himself, but he despite what he said he needs us now more than ever." Yosuke brought out his own digivice and formed a portal for himself "It's a shame we have to travel like this. I would have liked to take Trailmon for old time's sake, but we unfortunately don't have that luxury right now. Find him, and I'll be along as soon as I can." he said before he disappeared from sight, leaving Haru and K at the terminal.

There were a lot at stake in regards to how the human world and Digital World could interact with one another. Despite everything that was wonderful about the Digital World, humans really were not ready for everything that Digimon entailed to... "We'll try our best to keep both worlds safe... in our own little ways." she affirmed that statement.
Reaching the terminal, Toki's Spirit finally materialized in front of them all. While Haru was used to the spirit lapine Digimon's existence, she did notice that Toki's father seemed hesitant. In all honesty, Haru actually couldn't blame him... Spirit Wielders had an especially dangerous role channeling their spirits, and it was something that certainly took more dedication it seemed... even more than Tamers.
On the plus side, seemed that Toki's path as a Spirit Wielder was on track... He was trying to also help Antylamon in that regard, right? Any piece they can found counted, so she was happy to hear the good news. "Thats good to hear! We'd love to help!" she happily added onto the conversation, even Mr. Yosuke offering to help... however, Toki's attitude seemed very off. Weak...? No, that wasn't the case, was it? Haru's expression shifted to that of confusion and concern, blinking twice at Toki... though her eyes widened when the young man summoned a portal. "W-wait... Toki!" she attempted to ask, though it was too late for perhaps her words to reach the young spirit wielder... they already have entered the portal. Already, Haru's face shifted to that of a look of worry.
Materializing out of Haru's Digivice by her belt, a Meicoomon appeared by the girl's side... a mild look of concern on the feline's face. She understood the feeling of wanting to prove one's self compared to others... but it was foolish to not want to accept help when offered. "You humans... You all are a reckless bunch, aren't you Haru?" Tawna softly spoke, shaking her head.
Haru would have tried to retort the Champion level's statement, but there was no time to be wasted... She gave a nod to Yosuke before turning to K. "K, is there a way we can get to the Shining Sea? We need to get there... fast."

"That's all that we can really do right? He's a good person already and I'm pretty sure meeting people is just going to help cement that."
The disguised digimon gave a small smile and furrowed her brow just a little bit when the older human seemed to make a small joke about keeping both worlds safe. She'd chuckle dryly and give him a small nod.
"I'll try the best I can but it won't just be me out there."
The digimon turned her head to look at toki raising her brows just a little bit however when toki agreed to show his digimon to his father. Upon hearing that he had always been a fan of rabbits however made the renamon chuckle softly. If she had known that she likely would of introduced the young man to some friends of hers that she met during helping transport stuff around in whitewater. Most of them would of enjoyed meeting the young man anyways.
She'd turn her head to look between Antylamon and Yosuke who seemed shocked to see that his son was a spirit user of all things. She'd rub her muzzle thoughtfully and find herself frowning deeper when Toki didn't seem to take it terribly well with the reaction his father had.
The renamon perked up a bit however when the human seemed to desire to go to the shining sea to go get his totem. Though before she could say anything Toki's farther stepped in with the suggestion that they should come with them. Which haru agreed with. She'd dip her head in a nod; agreeing that they indeed go go with them in order to maybe help smooth things along. After all last time they went to hunt for spirits there was that one digimon that had caused a fuss about taking the spirit totem.. Which who knew; it possibly could be along the same lines. She didn't want to have to worry about toki but...
He didn't seem to like the idea of them coming along; he didn't want to bother them and then he even seemed to think he was 'weak' compared to everyone else. She'd step forward opening her mouth to say something but before she could the human stepped through that portal and vanished quickly. She'd turn her head to look at Yosuke a frown quite plain on her lips.
"All right."
The renamon quirked a brow and rubbed the back of her head when the human asked if there was a way they could get to the shining sea quickly. There were a couple ways they could...
"I've got a few strings I can pull in terminus; old supplier probably has a mon or two that we can borrow for quick transport..."
The renamon sighed and got herself ready for a quick talk to a particular shopkeep that had taken over for Sebastian after that whole dark area incident...
