Name: And Now for Something Completely Different
MPC Scenario: It seems as an April Fool's joke, Bone has changed the genre of the forum from Digimon to something else. Your characters' personalities remain the same, but now they are part of a whole new franchise that's entirely up to you. For instance, will your Tamer become a Pokemon Trainer? Will your Spirit Wielder pilot Gundams? Will your Solo Digimon become woodland critters in a disney setting? That's up to you!
Requirements: As always, all Monthly Roleplay Challenges require 1000 words to be graded. You may do this alone, or with friends, as long as the thread contains at least 1000 words by all participants. That is to say, if you have multiple participants in a thread, everyone has to make at least 1000 words in total.

Basile’s first sensation was that he was falling, as he opened his eyes he could a patch of yellow in the distance. As he fell he noticed a ghostly image of Cinder falling alongside him, unconscious apparently. Basile managed to flip himself over and was nearly immediately blinded by a small patch of sun and the lip of what could only be a ledge he’d fallen/been knocked over/ thrown off. As he braced himself for the near crippling impact of going terminal velocity into what is presumably yellow rocks. His any regrets he has you may ask? That’s a big secret.
There was an incredibly meaty thud as his back, skull, torso and limbs slammed into the ground…there was no pain? No mind rending agony? This was new… As he got up, he noted that the ‘yellow rocks’ were in actuality a small patch of yellow buttercup flowers, Huh. Small World. He was pleasantly surprised to find that Cinder seemed to be awake and was seeming just as confused as he did. He saw a single carved pathway to another dark room, He started walking forwards to the door way and was pleasantly surprised to see Cinder panic as she was dragged with him.
Entering the room, they saw a dark room with a single bit of colour a small yellow flower with a face, who greeted them happily ‘Hi! I’m FLOWEY the Flower!’ Although the tamer and Digimon pair missed the intentions of this small monster, the flower itself missed Cinders sarcastic eye roll at its name. ‘You’re new to the underground aint’cha?’ The flower asked, still containing that happy tone and smile. Cinder was immediately suspicious but Basile nodded in answer to the question and decided to be polite. ‘I’m Basile Alexandre, It’s nice to meet you Flowey’ Basile replied in a polite curt tone.
‘Well, Nice to meet you Basile! Let me teach you how things work down here!’ Flowey said before continuing to ramble on a little bit ‘See, That’s your SOUL’ Flowey Said pointing his head towards a small red heart that had appeared in an 8-bit style on his chest. ‘Your SOUL starts off weak, but can be made stronger by gaining LOVE, Here let me share some with you! You wanna grow big and strong right?’ Flowey Finished by winking and some small white pellets appeared above him and slowly drifted towards Basile.
‘Jump around, get as many as you can!’ Flowey encouraged, cheering happily. Cinder shrugging and gave him a look that said, get on with it. Basile obliged jumping into the 4 small pellet objects, almost immediately regretting the decision as the pure blinding agony ripped him to shreds and a small counter that appeared over the heart emptied from ‘20/20’ to ‘1/20’ and the formerly smiling flowers face warped malicious writhing and cackling evilly. ‘DIE FOR ME HUMAN’ Flowey roared and a circle of pellets encompassed the room, shrinking and getting smaller, about to smother the human and kill Basile.
Then they disappeared as a fireball roared into existence and burned the patch of grass the flower was formerly into ashes. As Basile looked to his saviour and found an anthromorphic Goat Woman with small horns, big floppy ears and a kind face. ‘What a terrible creature! Harming a nice child like you! Don’t worry I will heal you, my child.’ Said his Saviour, and a small white aura emanated from Basile, closing his wounds and making him feel all warm and fuzzy.
‘Thank you, Miss. My name is Basile Alexandre! But who are you?’ Basile asked curious about the identity of his saviour. As he looked her over he noticed she had a fairly religious looking robe with a strange insignia on the chest, a purple colouration covering the torso and legs and white colouration on the sleeves, it looked like a fairly high-quality robe too. ‘Greetings, My Child! My name is TORIEL, caretaker of the ruins’ So she was a caretaker… was this some sort of holy site? He idly noted that Cinder was going crazy over this new person, apparently because she had fire powers she was cool. ‘You’re the first human to fall down in a very long time, come with me and I’ll guide you through the catacombs’
Basile, not having many options in this situation, followed Toriel out of the dark room and into the next room beyond. Past a darkened archway with the same insignia from Toriels robe above the Arch. Curiouser and Curiouser. The next room, in stark contrast to the prior room was very well lit and a small field of red leaves were trailed throughout the room. What caught Basiles attention however, more than anything else was a small blinking light at the end of the hallway just before two sets of stairs that looped around to the next doorway. As Toriel walked ahead, Basile touched the light and was nearly blinded by the radiance as it shone brightly, and he heard Cinder say ‘The Shadows of the Ruin looms above, filling you with DETERMINATION’
And then he felt it, a sudden influx of energy into his body and he felt larger than life for a brief moment, power flooding his every pore. Then he took a breath and the power faded, unable to interact with the nearly blinding light he advanced forward up the set of stairs to the next room. As he entered the next room, he noted 6 stones built into the floor of the room in a strange formation forming two V shapes though they were perfectly positioned to as to be perpendicular. He was cut off from his immediate thoughts by Toriel piping up.
‘Welcome to your new home, innocent one. Allow me to educate you in the operation of the RUINS.’ As Toriel finished speaking she walked over 4 of the stones, leaving the centers or the lowest point in the ‘V’ shapes alone. She then pressed a small unseen button on the wall, which opened the massive double doors and allowed progress forward. Inwardly Basile groaned, an entire temple filled with Puzzles…that’s going to get real lame real fast… but he also didn’t want to seem ungrateful to the nice goat lady who’d saved him.
‘The RUINS are full of puzzles. Ancient fusions between diversions and door key’s. One must solve them to move from room to room. Please adjust yourself to the sight of them.’ Toriel said before moving on to the next room! Basile looked at the 6 stones on the floor and the lever and thought to himself ‘Yup, this is a puzzle’ and then proceeded to the next room hoping for something slightly more interesting than this!
