After Owen had used the healing technique, he watched Shoutmon with an expression of increasing fear. Had... he been too late? Was Shoutmon truly dead? Would instead of being healed he would have been shattered and disintegrated into data?
For a moment Owen had been horrified that it wouldn't work. Furthermore, it hadn't struck him to attempt mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, which would have been an alternative here, had he known that the reason that Shoutmon was unconscious was that his lungs were full of water.
But thankfully the potency of his healing technique had managed to cause the miracle to occur, allowing Shoutmon the strength to expel the water from his chest and return to the realm of the living. As Adrian tended to his partner, Owen watched closely, hoping that there were no lingering complications.
Eventually Shoutmon thanked him for saving him. Owen smiled and winked in response. "Any time, mate" the MachGaogamon replied. Even if they had been blighted by his clumsy acts in the first place, it was probably clear by now that if one of them truly needed help that Owen would pull out all the stops to keep them safe.
Following that, he turned to answer Solomon's question. "Perhaps, I really don't know why Sagomon was angry at us for doing that. Maybe he was just angry with outsiders coming here?"
Roy and Rex, who had been watching too with interest were also relieved that Shoutmon was saved. Roy, who had something of a fear of water was glad to see that a potent healing technique could be useful to make a digimon expel the water from their chest before they died of drowning. Rex, meanwhile, was simply glad that they could continue forth as a full party again.
Solomon then asked what was next. For this, Owen was able to answer. "Well, while I was up in the sky I got a clear picture of what lies ahead" he said. "We can continue to head West, there's not much hazards in the way, and in the distance I think I even saw the outskirts of Whitewater City".
Hopefully with that in mind they could finally exit the Bayou. Once that was done, Owen hoped to examine his digimental a little more.
