Calm After The Storm (Carlos/Adrian/Miyu)

Post by Adrian Boriker on Apr 22, 2018 23:57:57 GMT
This was all super hard to take in for Adrian. Just knowing his friend was almost murdered by a vicious Digimon... really made him think long and hard about how dangerous Digimon could be in the real world. They could easily destroy civilization if they truly wanted to, and humans would be powerless to stop it.
Adrian and Shoutmon looked up at Haru when she suggested letting the data go. The conflict in their minds was apparent on both their faces. Yeah, it's not right to deny someone of their life, but if she hadn't Haru would be DEAD! A monster like that... they'd just continue to keep on killing!
"Sorry, Haru... I'm with Tawna on this one," Adrian says.
"Same here," Shoutmon admits.
The argument went on for a while longer, and the two feared that things would only get worse. And got worse it did. The fight reached a new height, and Tawna bolted out of the room. No one knew how to react... Adrian stared at the door, while Shoutmon ran over to help Haru lay back down.
"This is all fucked up..." Adrian mutters. He rarely curses...

The mood in the room was filled with different emotions mostly shock, horror and rage, Dio's words didn't help the mood and Bloom wanted to slap the little imp but she didn't do it deciding to speak again.
"She could've let the data go, there was no reason to kill him, the battle was over, why crossing that line?" She still didn't understand why, the digimon couldn't harm Haru anymore and it would take a lot of time to go back to that form and even then he could be a totally different digimon in the next cycle.
"And risk it to come back for revenge?" Miyu understood how Bloom felt, talking about murder wasn't an easy topic but sometimes there is no other option than take one step further and cross the lines of morality.
"It would be a Digitama, it'll take AGES to go back to Ultimate and even if he did it can be a completely different digimon, there have to be a reason as for why he did that, no one is "evil" just because, maybe the next cycle could've the live he didn't have in this one!" And now Miyu has join the argument and against her, if anything she would've expect her tamer to be on her side.
"Bloom... The world is not that black and white, not everyone is good deep down, don't be so nai─" Now Miyu was interrupted by her partner
"YES I'M NAIVE! She raise her voice, she wasn't going to stay silent and take it. "I'm naive because I believe that everyone is good and can't do evil without a reason, yes my enemies probably wont do the same for me, but I would rather give them a second chance than lower myself to their level!"
Miyu didn't say one word, she didn't expect for Bloom to react that way, worst of all Haru and Tawna were having a similar discussion that ended up with Tawna leaving the room, the chinese girl just sighed.
"Let's finish this argument in other moment, for now Haru needs to rest and this isn't helping... I'll look for Tawna Said still with her gloomy voice and leave the room.
"You... You're right..." Bloom Sighed and walked towards Haru. "It would be best for you to rest a little, don't push yourself or your wound wont heal... If you need anything just tell me"

Carlos almost wanted to hit Dio in the head after he was done, even more so when his words almost seemingly started a chain reaction that made everyone else voice out their own opinions in the matter, for better or for worse. Neither the man nor the imp joined in on the discussion, mostly because Dio already had his mind set on what he thought was the right answer, but Carlos simply listened to the others, trying to figure out how exactly he felt.
Sure, if he hadn’t been absorbed Arkadimon would take time to come back and when he did there was a chance the creature would come back differently. Nicer, less murderous, perhaps he could be someone’s partner someday down the line... But would that be fair to the memories of those other 19 victims? Would it really be right to let something that killed so many to roam free? Even taking into account his recent death was a punishment, and even if he came back differently with no memory of his past actions, did that really erase what he had done?
In all honestly, the man just didn’t know what to think about it. It was a very grey area, and everyone had a valid point to feel the way they did about it. What he did know is he felt miserable seeing both Haru and Tawna so broken up about it, and the following argument between the two of them (echoed by a similar argument between Bloom and Miyu) only made Carlos let out a sad sigh as Tawna ran out of the room, tears streaming down her eyes. As if things couldn't get more awkward.
The imp just shook his head, shooting a small but perceivable glare at the plant, clearly annoyed by her naivety, but managed to get a hold of enough tact not to let her know. This wasn’t the time for more arguing. Not that it stopped him from thinking to himself, “Everyone is good? Nobody can be evil without a reason? Clearly you have never been on the Dark Area, Pothead.”
Though in all honestly, he was more annoyed at Haru’s reaction. This was her partner they were talking about, she had risked her life to protect her and that’s how she reacted? And worst of all, was Carlos siding with her? They were going to need a long talk later.
Was it really so much for those two to try to see things their way? Regardless of the Arkadimon’s reasons, he had killed before, and he would have killed again if left unchecked. Morality or not, killing it in self defense was completely justifiable, and cutting his regenerative cycle could only be seen as an extra precaution, a necessary “evil” (even if the imp didn’t found the act so reprehensible) for the safety of everyone else.
At any rate, that train of thought was stopped right on its tracks when Carlos got close to him.
“Dio, could you go and help Miyu out with Tawna?” The man asked, just as gloomily as everyone else. Dio shot him an almost incredulous look. He couldn’t be serious, the Dark Lord dealing with that?
“Why me? Do I look like some sort of-“ The outraged imp complained for a moment, before being cut off by Carlos suddenly rising his voice for what couldn’t be more than a second.
“Just…do this for me, will you?” He asked, one hand massaging his own temple, the constant shouting and general bad vibe were slowly but surely causing him a small headache. Truth be told, he would have done it himself, but he figured it was probably wiser to send his partner with the other two, seeing how they both mostly agreed in the matter, fearing if he let the impmon alone with Bloom and Haru there would only be more needless bickering.
“Fine, whatever.” The purple creature huffed, somewhat understanding the possible reason for sending him, not that it made him feel any better. “Hey China- I mean Miyu, wait. I’lll go with.” He called out to the Chinese girl, quickly walking after her and out of the room. That fur ball better not have ran too far...
“Fucked up is putting it mildly.” Carlos though upon hearing Adrian cursing, wondering to himself how had things gotten this bad. The man, finding himself alone with the remaining four approached Haru’s bed. “Haru, please stop pushing yourself like this. They will find Tawna, I promise you that.” He said, sounding reassuring despite the bleak situation. As if somehow, being the oldest in the group meant he had the responsabilty of staying calm for them.

Despite her best efforts getting up, it seemed her own body was screaming at for her to sit down... and at the worst possible time too. In the end, the girl dejectedly relented to her injuries along with the others' insistence on doing so. Her breathing slowed down as tears for a bit leaked from her eyes, though she managed to wipe them off with her hand, as she gritted her teeth.
She felt like absolute shit right now. She felt conflicted on what exactly to think even. She genuinely felt that in the end, her partner's actions were still morally wrong... but she at the same time felt reluctant to dismiss their actions completely. She had overheard some of the commentary of her friends, relating heavily with Bloom in the belief that anyone can be good if they just tried... however, there was an overwhelming majority that seemed to at least think Tawna did the right thing.
In a way, a part of Haru felt she could not blame the feline. Back in Old Terminus, it must have been an extremely stressful situation for Tawna, they unable to think straight. They... they did what they thought was right, even if it shouldn't have been. Still, this brought an unpleasant revelation to Haru that her friend was willing to kill to protect her.
That wasn't an easy thing for her to accept.
She supported her head with her hand as she shook it, her head pounding against her skull as she attempted to calm "... I-I was too harsh on her." she softly muttered, a tone of guilt in the girl's voice. "I... I just don't know. What she did... It's just wrong. She killed it for me."
In a way, she felt responsible for it as well.
Above the roof of the hospital, Tawna attempted to calm herself down and bottle her frustration... Unfortunately, her bottle not large to keep it from overfilling. While idly sitting down and panting by the rim of the building, her work was visible all-around the rooftop... claw gashes within the stone-floor several inches deep covered the roof, a sign of the feline's frustration.
Tawna just didn't know what to do... what to think right now. She felt so conflicted right now, the stinging feeling of betrayal returning to her. She felt... insulted. So many conflicting opinions, and yet for Tawna, the only one that mattered was disgusted with her actions. Tears still covered the cat Digimon's emerald green eyes, her sobbing a mere snivel now.
Who was in the wrong here? Haru, or her? She couldn't have imagined herself doing the situation any differently... yet, even that was the wrong way? She felt frustrated at herself, unable to shake off the feeling that she was a failure as Haru's partner.
Would having let that monster free been truly better...?

After all the shit that had just happened, Shoutmon was left emotionally unstable. Of course, Shoutmon was doing his damn best to not show it. Sure, he didn't look HAPPY right now, but it wasn't like he looked completely miserable, either.
Although, those thoughts just kept getting into his head. The thoughts that told him to kill... to burn... things he just didn't want to do. It was scaring him a little bit. And this situation in the hospital wasn't helping those thoughts, either.
He had to tell someone.
"Adrian..." Shoutmon says solemnly. "I... I have to tell you something."
"Sure..." Adrian replied, not really sure what was going on. "What's up, Shoutmon?"
"It's about the first time I digivolved... at first, it was cool and all. But lately... I've been hearing voices and having thoughts. Thoughts about... killing, and... and burning what I see. Those thoughts only get worse and worse when I digivolve." He faced Adrian with sad eyes. "I'm scared, Adrian. Scared that these thoughts will only get worse when I reach the ultimate level. Scared that one day, I... I won't be myself..."
After he was done talking, Adrian was at a loss for words. What could he say to that?

The man simply stood there quietly, glancing at Haru being on the verge of tears. Carlos sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose again. He wasn’t sure what he could possibly say to improve things, but he felt the need to say something. His friend was suffering, and he couldn’t simply sit idly being an expectator.
“Haru…” He said, sitting on a side of the bed, a warm and kind look in his eyes, “Listen…I know I can’t say much to change your mind, and frankly it’s not important what any of us thinks about this. Worst case scenario, we call all agree to disagree...” he said with a shrug, somewhat nonchalantly for a moment before he put a serious yet kind expression again. ”…but what does matter is that at the end of the day, you two are still alive.”
“I’m not saying any of you two is right or wrong. Honestly I don’t think anyone can give a good answer to that. But…maybe try to see things her way? We don’t know the full picture, for all we know she could have been badly hurt and maybe needed to do that to heal and get you to safety?” He offered, trying to think of a plausible explanation, if only to try and give Haru some solace.
It didn’t took long for the imp and the girl to find the downtrodden feline, all they had to do was follow the scratch markings along the floor. Clearly, Tawna wasn’t taking this well, not that he could blame her.
“H-hey, furball…” He imp waved somewhat sheepishly, approaching the Meicoomon. For some reason, seeing the usually impervious and indifferent cat so distraught made Dio feel…sad. And he wasn’t entirely sure why, but he found himself sympathizing a lot with her. Perhaps, in a different way, he had been through what she was going through now. Dealing with rejection, questioning his way of looking at the world, all very familiar feelings and concepts for the imp, so at least at surface level he knew what Tawna was going through.
Despite this he still wondered…just what was he supposed to do about this? He was the least socially savvy person in the club, even he knew that.
Why in hell did Carlos think he was any good at pep talks? The imp could barely handle seeing others crying, much less be of any use to help stop said crying. But he couldn’t just drag the cat back to the room like that.
He reached out somewhat hesitantly with his hand, lightly patting the cat’s fuzzy shoulder. “For what is worth, the Dark Lord completely sides with you on this.” He said, trying to sound reassuring, though considering he wasn’t really used to this sort of tone it was hard to say if he had helped out any. Regardless of Tawna’s reaction, he couldn’t help but sigh at his own attempt.
God, why was this so hard to do? Maybe he needed a different approach? Taking a deep breath, he stood in front of Tawna, and looked her in the eyes, a…surprisingly soft and understanding expression on his face as he did so. “Tch…don’t beat yourself over it so much, will you? You had a tough choice to make, and you chose what you thought was best. In the end, you kept your human safe, that’s what matters.” He softly mused, trying very hard to use the right words, not exactly sure if he was doing well or not.
He shot a glance in the Miyu’s direction, his eyes silently begging her for help. He really wasn’t good at this.

Bloom didn't say anything and nodded to what Carlos just said, it was a hard topic and probably there wasn't a correct answer, it would be best to just drop the topic for now and be glad that Haru and Tawna are OK, she catch something about the conversation of Adrian and Shoutmon but didn't pay much attention to understand what they were talking.
"By the way... I'm sorry for the scene I make... I couldn't keep it to myself..." She apologize to Haru, after everything that happen the least she needed was a useless fight...
Miyu went out of the room looking for Tawna, couple of seconds later Dio join her, the chinese girl didn't mind the little imps presence and hopefully Tawna wouldn't either, it didn't take much time for them to find her, poor digimon was still sobbing, Miyu wasn't good at conforting people, she just expected her happy attitude make all the sadness go away, but this case was a little different...
Dio gave the first try and... Well it was clear that he wasn't good either, the little imp was looking at her almost begging for help, the chinese girl sighed, it shouldn't be that difficult "just do what Liang always did in this situations" she thought.
Miyu sit next to Tawna, she didn't say one word just stood there giving the Meicoomon her space, to make her feel a little confortable with her presence instead of just invading the digimon with more words, after a couple of minutes of silence it was time for step one of Liang Feng's conforting people tactic.
"Man, you suck at this!" She look at Dio, she would as for an apology later but the first step was cracking a joke to break the tension of the situation and Dio was the perfect victim there, now onto the second step. "I'll be honest... I can't say that I know how you feel, but I do know how Haru feels, it may be a little difficult to understand why, but we humans respect and appreciate life more than anything, so it's hard for us to swallow that our best friend kill someone even if it was to protect us." Second step the harsh truth, the worst step of all because you don't know how the person would react, but sometimes we need to hear what we don't want. "I can't say if what you did was the right or the wrong thing to do, it's not an easy topic... But you'll have to live with that decision and learn from this experience, and Haru would do it too, can't promise that things are going to be the same as they where before this event, but I can promise that sooner or later things will be OK again."
Miyu didn't say one word after that, the third step was letting that person process everything you just said, give them space to think, don't touch them nor keep talking, they need to feel confortable and not pressured.
After a couple of minutes of silence it was time for the last step, if that person still needs to still needs to release frustration, give the shoulder and until they feel better.
"If you need to let out something, if you need to scream or punch something, I'm here, take all your stress and frustrations with me if you need it, I will understand" She gave a warm smile to Tawna, hopefully this would've help, at least when her brother did it she always felt better.

Haru felt so weak... In the end, it wasn't even her who could go after Tawna, she had to leave that to Dio and Miyu. At her friend's greatest time of need, she wasn't even there to help them... she felt so helpless. While the others attempted to at least cheer her up, the girl just couldn't help but feel tremendous guilt... both with how she acted, but how she couldn't relate at all to what Tawna did. "I just don't know what to think... This is different from like, her killing some mice or birds." she for a moment spoke, for a brief moment shivering back in her covers while shaking her head. "It's just... It's like you said Bloom. What Arkadimon did was despicable, but they could have changed... If Tawna had just let its data survive, they could have become someone different... a better person." she softly spoke to the Palmon, her eyes looking very tired.
"It is not an easy pill to swallow... The fact that she was willing to go that far..." she mused, shaking her head as she attempted to shake off the funk in her mind. Maybe she was just being too hard on herself... and Tawna. "... Bloom, Shoutmon? I want to know... would you two be willing to do the same for Miyu and Adrian? I... I want to know." she softly spoke towards the two Digimon, a genuine look of interest on her face.
The girl did overhear Adrian's conversation with their own partner, mildly worried to hear something like that from a Digimon as sweet as Shoutmon. Was it just... destiny for Digimon to be drawn to violence? What would have happened if Adrian had been thrown into the same, awful situation?
Tawna's wallowing within her sadness had seemed to dull her senses, she actually failing to notice Dio and Miyu's sudden arrival on the scene. She flinched slightly, actually taken aback that someone actually came. A mild feeling of embarassment washed over her. "... Is Haru mad at me? For killing..." she meekly asked the pair, unsure of what to say herself. She had thought her actions were just... but now she wasn't so sure anymore. "I-I did what I thought was right. Maybe some see it as cruel, but this world was found on the foundations of survival of the fittest. Sometimes the only way to survive is to be cruel." she calmly spoke, her headache disappearing... replaced by self-loathing.
Would it have been better she had just left the data alone? Would it have been better to have just fled...? She didn't know, and that thought scared her. "I... I don't want Haru to be angry with me... because truth be said, I'm not sure I could hold back like that if we were to fight against something like Arkadimon again. Its... its just not who I am." she spoke as she soon got up, for a moment glancing at her paws. Small as she was... she did have blood on her hands. Not just Arkadimon's, no... her history itself was wrought with bloodshed. It was a core facet of the person she was today, and not even Haru could probably change that.
"... I-I'm fine. I just... I just needed a moment." she hesitantly spoke, though it was a false truth at best.

After everything that has happened so far, Shoutmon had almost missed Haru's question. However, he then realized that Haru indeed was talking to him. After she asked, Shoutmon took no time to think of an answer: he already had one.
"If it meant keeping not only Adrian safe but the rest of my friends..." Shoutmon says, staring right into Haru's eyes with a passion, "I'd kill in a heartbeat."
Adrian was both happy and surprised to hear Shoutmon say something like that. Sure, it meant that he cared for his friends... but that also meant Shoutmon seemingly had no problems with killing anymore, at least killing other Digimon. It kind of disturbed Adrian a little bit...
"Haru, I think Tawna was just doing what she thought was best for your safety," Adrian tells Haru. "You may not agree with it, but she did it to keep YOU safe. You do realize that, do you?"

Bloom didn't know how to answer at Haru's question, sure she was going to do anything to protect Miyu, but going as far as to kill someone? She wasn't sure, she tried to remember something of her past cycle, maybe there she'll have some answers, yet nothing, still blurry images and nothing concrete, all this make her wonder who she was in that past life, was she a murder that someone had mercy and hoped to be better in this cycle... UGH to many things to think...
Shoutmon's answer didn't help either nor Adrians last comment, why they were so fast to take that decisión? Haru would be safe regardless if Arkadimon's data was absorbed or not, then again he already had kill 19 tamers before... Probably their partners too should he be forgiven and had a second chance after all that? Bloom wasn't sure she just sighed and gave her most honest answer
"No... I wouldn't go that far, I'll give my life to protect Miyu and everyone else I care and love, but I won't kill, I will never get on the same level as them" She said in a very serious tone and a determined expression on her face. "I will stand firm on what I believe and give a second, third, fourth how many chances they need, because I know that deep down there is a glimpse of good on everyone. Call me naive and a fool all you guys want but that's my decision!"
Was she right on that? Who knows but that was her resolution as long as she is aware of what shes doing she'll never take another digimon life.
Welp it didn't seem that Dio's nor her efforts did something for Tawna, if only her brother was here she wasn't good with this conforting thing, she just sighed listen to Tawna and answer
"No, she's not mad... She's just confused, as I said it's no something easy we humans can swallow, we for the most part live peaceful life we don't face life or death situations everyday so we don't know how to react... Just give her a little time, I'm sure she'll understand, to be completely honest I do blieve you did the right thing but if it really was I can't say it, there is no easy answer" She took a deep breath before keep talking. "But don't let this bring you down or ruin your relationship with Haru, if life hit you with a horrible event you don't stay on the floor and do nothing, you stand up and keep going stronger than ever" That sounded a little corny... "What I'm trying to say is you guys will have to talk about it sooner or later, and you'll have to be ready when the time comes, don't let this hurt you more than what already did, life keep going and you should too"

So far, Yukiko had just listened and witnessed the events. Her social anxiety prevented her from doing as much as move a muscle. Mizu even had to hold her arm as she had started to shiver. The topic had gotten quite dark, as well. Killing a Digimon to save your partner? That was...
Mizu broke the silence, reminding the room that the two still existed. "If someone tries to kill Yukiko, and is clearly acting on their own free will, then I will strike them down. No one harms Yukiko on my watch. Maybe they could have become a better person in a different life, but in -this- life they clearly were a bad person." Yukiko was a bit taken aback by Mizu's serious demeanor. She didn't know Mizu could even -be- serious. And this expression of loyalty was...heartwarming, if strange.

Carlos shook his head a bit at the rather disparity of opinions the digimon had. Two in favor of self defense induced murder, one against it. As if poor Haru couldn’t get more conflicted than she already was.
“Well, I don’t think I have to repeat how Dio feels about this whole thing.” He shrugged. After all, he had been the first one, and easily one of the more vocal about his support for Tawna’s choice. Carlos had no doubt that, if the situation called for it that the small imp would stop at nothing to keep his human safe, even if it meant completely erasing the enemy.
“But I think we should stop worrying so much about hypothetical outcomes, about what could have or should have happened. There’s no point dwelling on past events and thinking what you could have done differently, you have to set your mind on the present."
"And as…cheesy as this will sound, you don’t have to go through this alone Haru, we’re all here for you.” He said with a smile. At the very least, even if their words weren't enough to cheer her up, they could all at least be there to support her until the end.
Dio knew he was bad at this, but so much as sucking? Geez, Miyu certainly did not care about pulling any punches, so her brutal honesty caught the small megalomaniac completely off guard.
“D-did you really need to be so honest just now?” The imp asked, his blank expression doing a good job at hiding his utter feeling of defeat and shattered pride. There was something inherently spirit crushing about having someone as nice as Miyu be so openly critical of him. Granted, not that she was wrong this once.
Regardless, this wasn’t the time to let that get to him, so the imp did his better to just suck it up and focus on what was important: helping out Tawna out of a difficult time. Frankly, there wasn’t much he felt he could add to what Miyu said, the Chinese girl brought up some valid arguments in his opinion. If anything, he was glad the three of them mostly agreed on the subject at hand.
“Hey, come on, if Haru stays angry over you saving her life, then she’s a lousy partner.” He said, patting the cat in the back with a reassuring tone…before thinking that his choice of words were probably far from ideal, so he quickly corrected himself.
“-I mean…if she’s as great of a partner as you think, then I doubt this will keep you two apart for long. Disagreements happen all the time, but you two will pull through, I’m sure of it. And even if she were angry, I doubt she’ll stay that way for long. Humans are weird and volatile like that.”

Haru slightly shook her head trying to shake off the head-splitting pain within her head. Everyone had good reason towards their beliefs, and none she could openly argue against. Shoutmon and Mizu both had all the right to protect their partners by any means possible, but Bloom's points were also valid and reached out personally to Haru's heart. She had the exact same views as the plant Digimon, and frankly hearing them sound so dejected about said views broke Haru's soul. "You aren't naive Bloom... Anything but. I... I want to believe that too. That anyone can be a better person, even if they don't believe they can." she quickly responded, making her opinion of the Palmon's view quite clear. She didn't know if Arkadimon even really deserved mercy... If what Tawna had said about nineteen humans being victims of that monster... She shook her head as she attempted to shake off that horrid funk within her head, letting out a sigh at Carlos's statement. "Your right Carlos... I need to stop looking back and focus on the present... Ugh, my freakin' head." she spoke, briefly clutching her head as she sat it back down on her pillow.
Why did everything need to be so difficult?
"I'm... I'm just thankful Tawna's okay... Becauce of me being careless, Tawna almost got seriously hurt." she softly spoke, a sense of guilt coming over her. If she had just been less careless, maybe she'd have not been in this state now... she just hoped Tawna didn't take this too hard. She let out a soft sigh as she let out a gentle, reassuring smile to everyone still around her. "I'm sorry if I'm being mopey guys... I-I need to apologize to Tawna as soon as I can. None of this was her fault..." she spoke, silently cursing her poor condition right now.
In a way, Tawna could understand what both Miyu and Dio were saying (though the feline Digimon's vision squinted slightly towards Dio briefly at his first little comment directed to Haru, though softened as he expanded upon said statement). Human life was far different from anything she had personally ever experienced... as someone whose had to live in a dog eat dog-esque world like the Digital World all her life, she could understand the difficulty for humans like Haru may face here. "Humans and Digimon... we're certainly a different bunch to each other, aren't we? I've had difficulty adjusting to Haru's way of life... I suppose its only fair she struggles with my own." she slightly huffed, a faint smile cracking on her face before fading quickly.
... She couldn't allow this to ruin their friendship. Haru was her light... The one person who guided her from the confusion of the darkness out to the warm rays of the sun. Just as she refused to give up on her, she couldn't give up on Haru.
Tears briefly sprouted from the feline's eyes, she lowering her face slightly before wiping it with one of her paws. "... I'm better now. I... Thank you Miyu, Dio." she softly spoke, a warm-genuiness to the Meicoomon's voice as she gazed at the girl and Impmon. She briefly glanced at the rooftop's various claw-marks... left over from her temper-tantrum up her moments prior... before shaking her head. "I'm... I'm ready to head back."

Adrian wasn't sure what to make of all of this. In his opinion, he thought Arkadhimon got what he deserved in the end. But Bloom and Haru... they were bringing up good points too. But he's lived in the harsh human world for far too long to agree with them. In his heart, he knew that some people just could not change, no matter how much you try.
However, another thought swirled around his brain... what if that Arkadhimon had gotten into the human world? Who would he have harmed then? Tawna took him out, yes, but landed herself and Haru in the hospital in the process.
He felt like he had to do something.
Meanwhile, Shoutmon walked up to Haru to make sure she didn't get up. "You should be resting. You can apologize when Tawna gets back, I promise you." He was still not his usual self, instead opting for this more stoic, serious personality. He clearly knew there was a time for fun, and this wasn't that time.
"Shoutmon's right, you're still pretty hurt," Adrian says. "Do you need anything?"

Bloom had to give some credit to Carlos of everyone here he wasn't the number 1 candidate for voice of reason, but she was glad that he took that role and try to stop this topic since Haru didn't need it, it would be best to let her rest although the Palmon was happy to know that Haru shared her point of view.
"Carlos and Shoutmon are right, you need to rest, I'm pretty sure Miyu and Dio are taking care of Tawna and are going to came back in any minute now" She reasure the tamer
Miyu was glad that Tawna finally decided to go back that meant that her and Dio's efforts worked, the Meicoomon did say something true and yes Digimon and humans have differente lifestyles and as much as we want for nothing to change, both of us should try to adapt to the other lifestyle, after all that's what a true partnership means.
"Glad you're ready Tawna, everyone will be there to support both of you, just remember that no matter what you two are not alone and never will be" She gave a warm smile to the cat
But before going back there was one more thing to do, as both digimon were leaving Miyu grab Dio by one of his arms, lift him up and give the Demon Lord a hug.
"I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings, I didn't mean to" hopefully this wouldn't make the little imp mad. "You're softer than I thought, mind if I hold you until we go back?" She ask with giving the demon lord a sweet smile
