'Progress often has its price, but those who are willing to put the well-being of others above themselves are those who enable the future to survive'
Februumon is among many an entity of legend that perpetually roams the digital world, or so witnesses and tale-tellers claim. Said to be the embodiment of purity and purification, she traverses the land, sea and air alike in search for whatever threatens the natural balance of this realm of existence. Assuring that flora and fauna can and will blossom in spite of civilization's meddling, those places she touches always become radiant gardens of life, while all signs of refuse and corruption vanish without a trace. Her motives are unclear, though if her actions are for the sake of nature, settled digimons or both is not important.
Those who hold the belief that they had encountered this sentinel of pureness describe her appearance differently based on the location. Aquatic denizens characterize her as a marble mermaid able to maneuver through the ocean with unfathomable speed and beautiful grace. Winged creatures depict her as an incandescent Valkyrie, feathered and ablaze like a phoenix. Those earthbound however declare her as a white forest nymph, sand wraith, fire demon or ice-automaton among other ideas.
The unknown truth is that all testimonies are true, yet also inaccurate. Since this avatar of purification needs to adapt to different types of pollution and vitiation in varying environments, she has the extremely rare ability to shape-shift and alter her attribute, field and type to whatever is necessary. Those transformations are finite in number, yet cover every conceivable biosphere and their sub-types. Her powers accommodate the elements she utilizes and is surrounded by, but of course she has a basic form from which the others originate.
Standing the height of a young girl, Februumon is an elysian fae covered in a thin yet sturdy armor of orchid-white digizoid. Her barely visible body is made out of an azure veil glittering like a cosmic nebula, begging the question if she is even corporeal. As for her armament, it takes the shape of an elegant dress, thin at the top and middle and broadening around her hip similar to a ball gown. Patterns of engraved flowers and symbols of the fundamental elements adorn her gorgeous looks. She prefers to carry herself gracefully and with slow steps, speaking seldom yet with a voice that could enchant even the most vile of polluters.
Only few claim to have seen her engage a hostile epitomization of foulness, but those portray a warrior capable of undoing everything her adversary's were. Cleansing them to depredate the source of their might, nullifying their efforts by revitalizing entire areas in mere seconds, elemental forces unleashed in massive surges, or outright consuming her enemies were but few feats supposedly witnessed. No matter the method, the impetus of assuring the continuation of healthy life is always the main goal. Protecting unessential entities from harm however appears to not be of concern to this protector of nature.
Recently, the amounts of reports have increased exponentially, approximately ever since the first news of some sort of crimson parasite infecting the lands of the dark area and its inhabitants - good and evil. Uncertain if the two events are bound to each other or not, it is simple to come to the conclusion that Februumon indeed tries to stop the red plague from spreading further, or perhaps vanquish it for good. Unfortunately, that is not a task easily accomplished, not even for a powerful guardian as her, for not only are digimons of high levels enslaved who need to be purged, but the dark will behind the impureness too is of great sway.
Simultaneously having to deal with the black taint that has wrought decay over many areas, such as forests, seas and plains, the futility of her solitude becomes clearer with each passing day. Although doing so silently, she hopes for the help of many heroic beings who are willing to save the planet they live on. In return, though having sworn to not interfere with fates of sentient creatures directly as to keep a safe distance from civilization, she accepts the necessity of breaking her oath in times of great crisis and comes to aid.
If several cataclysms can be avoided that way, then changing her way of thinking must be done. For as much as she fears that her presence being common knowledge might cause societies to recklessly abuse and expend this planet, what use was her scheme when nothing was left alive?
