Did she really have that much going on? "Well, he's got a little bit of a point but I can't really put my finger on wheeere..." She tapped her chin as she listened to Otohime reveal...huh, she actually had a lotta hobbies. Couldn't say she wasn't expecting that. "Oh, you...like baseball? How's that working out? Uh...I've got no idea how it's actually played but it actually looks really neat."
...Somehow the mental image of Ryuko with a bat was simultaneously very apt and also very terrifying. Naoko also found it...odd that both she and Otohime seemed lacking when it came to hobbies... "...Maybe we could hang out some more? Find you some new hobbies? Friend stuff?" Oh god what was she doing this is a terrible idea isn't it?

"Eeeeeeeeeeeh!? Friend stuff??" Otohime had been thrown out of her thoughts by the offer. Friend stuff? Like, with an actual real friend? That was... She grinned at her. "You sure you wanna be friends with a bad egg like me? I'd be thrilled tho! Never had a proper friend! We could do so many things liker playing video games or going to the places my teach took me to until he decided I was old enough to go by myself! Oh, that'd be the the best!" Otohime was definitely very positively disposed toward the idea. Nay, positively thrilled!...she must've not had any friends before.

"Y-Yeah. Friend stuff." Naoko nodded, twirling one of the ears of her hoodie as she tilted her head at Otohime. "I don't think you're bad." She began. "...I mean...ah...sure, you might look and act like one but I don't think you are..." Oh wow, she didn't...really take Otohime to be the kind of person who didn't have a lot of friends...
Well, neither was she. But that didn't mean she couldn't change that for someone. "T-then yeah, let's be f-friends." As much as Naoko thought this wasn't a really good idea? She could see that Otohime was actually...excited? Thrilled? Point is she seemed happy. And that made Naoko smile. "...Hey, what video games do you like?" Of course she had to zero in on that. But it was a point of legitimate curiosity. Delinquents play video games? Whaaa?

Otohime was baffled for a second, then grinned and jumped, giving Naoko a bearhug. "Hell yeah, we're gonna be the bestest buddies the world has ever seen!" She kept up the hug for a while before she thought about the question. Eh? Video games? "Eeeeeh? Well, teach don't got a television and he says I gotta earn my own if I want one, but I often go to the arcade with my allowance! I'm really good at the shootin' games! And the car drivin' gams! And what's the name of that nerd game where ya gotta kick the ground to hit arrows while some weirdass music plays? That's cool too!"

Suffice to say, Naoko tensed the heck up at being bearhugged suddenly, before relaxing. Juuust a little. "Y-y-yeah. I think so too!" She snickered before awkwardly patting Otohime on the shoulder. "That...I think I can wrap my head around that." Naoko nodded a few times. "Well...uh...I kind of still live with my parents but we've got a TV so you can probably come over someday. I think." Oh, the arcade also...worked, actually.
Ryuko was good at...shooters, racing games and...RHYTHM GAMES? Naoko basically let out what was equatable to a squee the moment those were brought up. Oh no. "I love those! They're actually really fun once you're used to how they work and all and also the music's really nice!" It was clear that Naoko was...actually more than a little ecstatic over hearing this.

Otohime seemed rather surprised to see Naoko so cheerful all of the sudden! That's...kinda cool, actually! Good to see her friend actually having a passion! "Hah, ya really like 'em, eh? There's a really cool arcade near my teach's place over in Nerima, we could go there some day! Then I can show ya the moves!" She felt like she shouldn't tell her she had no idea it was a rhythm game. She just thought it was a weird fighting game where you kick in time with the music! Though by now the foreman still hadn't turned up! This is an outrage!

"Yeah! Uh...I like them lots." Naoko was beaming from ear to ear. "So...yeah let's go to that arcade and play someday!" Actually going somewhere with a friend was something that was more than a little rare for Naoko, so much so that it almost felt alien. Yet at the same time it was also something she felt like she could actually look forward to. "...Wait, the...Foreman isn't even here still...Shoot, should we just go look for him or something?"
Naoko was starting to wonder if she and Otohime had even shown up at the right time to do a shift...

"Yeah sis, time we find this foreman and give him what for!" With that, the Sukeban strode on ahead. She'll find this tardy foreman posthaste!
Looking among the house skeletons, Otohime looked around carefully. Eventually, she heard something: A -snore-! Someone was sleeping! There! Around the corner! A Hyogamon, wearing the yellow helmet with the green cross! That must be the foreman! "Ugh, look at that guy, asleep on the job! Are standards this lax in the Digital world? This is a fuckin' disgrace! How're we gonna wake him up? I'd just bash him with my bat, but I wanna see what you think, buddy!"

Naoko stood up and finished her mochi as she followed Otohime along. Truth be told, it was dead silent among the skeletal houses, the houses waiting to be done and finished, until the Hyogamon's snore carried through the air. "Think that's our guy." Probably was. Once the two rounded the corner, they found the foreman himself sleeping on the job.
In his defense, he looked a little tired. More than a little tired, in fact. "...No bat bashing." Naoko began, staring at the ninja foreman. "It's true that you shouldn't be sleeping on the job, but...look. Guy's probably pulled an all nighter or two here. If anything I say we just...wake him up and tell him to clock out and go sleep at home and not on the job. This is still...really difficult but I don't think we should jump to conclusions..."

Otohime gave Naoko a look, then she grinned and gently poked her with the lower end of her bat. "Hehehehe, a softie, arntcha? Immediately thinkin' the guy's just tired an' not just lazy! I like that! Alright, let's be gentle!" So, she approached the icy ogre Digimon and gently poked him with her foot. "Oi, boss, wake up!" The Hyougamon jolted awake with a snort. "What? Who? Where!?" He then scratched his head, and looked at the two humans. "Eh? You workin' 'ere? Where's yer helmets? That's irresponsible!" Otohime poked him again, which surprised the ogre. "Oi, you provided none, an' yer asleep on the job!" "Am I? I kinda forgot. I just took a break an' then things get hazy..." He scratched his head again. Seems that tiredness surprised him.

"No, no, it's...not that I'm a softie or anything..." Okay, maybe it was. A little bit. "But...We try batting his face in, he'll probably be able to kick our asses six ways to Sunday..." The ice ogre was way bigger than the two of them and neither of them had their partners to help them.
Naoko held her breath as Otohime poked the Foreman and awoke him from his hibernation, before exhaling. WHEW! "Uh...Nobody's around here and we kind of...got concerned because we were otherwise working completely unsupervised, no offense meant to you or the other workers...wherever they are..." Naoko clasped her hands together as she spoke. "...If you're going to take breaks or naps on the workplace...I think it's better to go do it at home."

The Hyougamon blinked at Naoko. "What?! No one else is there!? What day is it!?" "Uuuuh, Saturday?" "Aw fiddlesticks, I was asleep for two days! I knew I shouldn't have pulled all those 24 hour shifts!" He bowed at the two. "Apologies, you two! I am really sorry! We're kinda understaffed at all ends over here so I pull multiple day shifts just to get the stuff done!" Otohime shook her head, and put a hand on the ogre's arm. "That's really irresponsible, ya know. If ya make a mistake due to tiredness, shit can go wrong!" "Huh? Are you in the construction business?" "Uh, yeah, I'm a carpenter's apprentice." "Oh that's brilliant! That means I can finally split up work! Please, get your boss, then I can finally take a proper time off!" "Eh? Oh, uh, I can try." "Great!" He shook Naoko's and Otohime's hands. "Thanks for understanding! And thanks for the tips, tall white Miss! I better lay down!" With that, he left. Otohime blinked. "...guess...I gotta call my teach."

How do...Wha...
Naoko actually looked more befuddled than anything. "...How do you end up...You know what? Um...Nevermind. It's kind of a shame that there's a staff issue...Um...It's fine, though. Nobody got hurt and I don't think either of us knew about this."
And then she watched Otohime seemingly get her old man/teach some work over...here? Hm. She also noted that the Hyogamon actually got her gender right before he left, leaving the two alone with a house skeleton. "...Wow, he actually...didn't mistake me for a boy. That's rare..." Naoko mumbled to herself, before glancing to Otohime. "To let him know he's got a ice ogre fan? Or...uh...I dunno. I'm not really sure what else is there to do, I might go and find my partner from here."
...But the thought of leaving a friend alone didn't...sit well with Naoko. Nope. "...Hey, is your partner around here? Could try finding him before I head off..."

Eh? Jiro? Oh, he stayed home, wanted to help my Teach with the gardening. He said with him and Masaki working on the garden, the azalea should get all pretty." In a once in a lifetime moment of awareness, Otohime realised that Naoko wouldnt know who Masaki is. "Uh, Masaki lives in our garden. He's a short green guy with a blue flower on his head. I think he's a Digimon but my Teach insists he's a youkai." She scratched her head. "Guess that's all for today, then? Without a foreman we can't do a thing, and getting Teach would take a while..."

Naoko appeared to be -very- correct when she stated that Otohime's teacher seemed to be a very worldly sort of person. However, she got taken for a spin when she mentioned that her partner...stayed home with her teacher.
So he knew about Digimon? Naoko's parents didn't even know Titania existed, she made extra sure to clean the dust off of things, as well as store her in the v-pet app...Furthermore, she just looked shocked. Masaki's description matched up with an Alraumon--Titania told her that her family lived near a gardener one.
"...So...A-A Digimon in...Oh, wow..." Naoko took a moment to collect herself. That was shocking to her. More than a little shocking. "Yeah. There's not much else we can do, so I think that's all for today. But...Well, we did a lot, right?"
