Alright, it was official, he was beat. Practically dragging his feet along, the devimon was finally dragging himself home after running another 'errand' for Coela. So called errand being he was sent to look for some truffles in the Server Woods. Sounded easy enough, until a group of Boarmon came sniffing about when he had unearthed the truffles. To say the least he was lucky to have gotten out of that situation alive. "Hm, thank god for flight." Caligo grumbled to himself as he flexed his wings, wincing as pain shot through them, still sore from the long flight. "Grrr, ol fishy bastard, better be thankful I did this for him." He knew the old fish would be though, no doubt try to pay him in some form as well.
Cresting the slop of a hill, he finally had Whitewater within sight, bringing a smile to his face. Feeling a bit more energized now that home was so close, He began jogging towards the city. It took some time but he was finally there, the entrance to the city. Slowing down to a walk, he made his way towards and through the entrance, looking forward to dropping off the truffles then heading home to sleep a few decades.

K was more used to the calm of her small somewhat quiet town; if you could even call it that. It had been tiny, relaxing and quaint in comparison to the massive size of most of the major cities. It's likely why she was so tense, so wired in comparison to what you would expect.
The problem in the bigger cities is that she never knew what to do, where to go or who to talk to. She knew people had heard of her, seen her or the ilk. She wasn't exactly a normal renamon but that didn't stop her from going around and trying to figure out how things in such a city worked.
So she found herself people watching near one of the entries to the large coastal city. Scratching idly at her muzzle while people passed her by; new old and some that even greeted her from time to time. She'd of course return the greeting warily; she wasn't really sure how so many people even knew her much less knew her name.
It was awkward and she felt herself pushing away from the crowd further and further until she was sitting on a railing off to the side. Watching the people pass by; there were fewer waves or people moving to interact with her. The holy symbol of jesmon likely being the first thing that they would notice considering just how large that brooch was.
She found her eyes latching onto a particular individual that passed into the entry of the city. People were giving them a wider berth than normal as walking around in anything but rookie was sure to draw attention. Hell for the first couple weeks she had people almost in a panic as she walked around mostly in her shutmon form. She was strong enough to where thatt form was very easy to manage energy wise and even further than that if she wanted to. She'd lean just a little bit and tilt her head, inspecting this Devimon.
Did he live here? Was he just passing through? It was rare to see one of these digimon outside of the Dark area from what she was told. If the individual noticed her staring she wouldn't stop but she would give them a small but friendly wave.
She had a particular fondness for Virus types, they had a habit of being violent sure but at least they would stab you in the front rather than in the back unlike certain angels...

Glancing around at the digimon giving his a wide berth, he let out a quiet sigh of relief. When coming back into the city like he was now he usually made sure to leave his champion form before entering, in part for what was happening now. However, tired and doubting he'd have the patience to deal with people crowding around him, and if staying in this form meant he got space and people didn't try to look at or talk to him, he was all for it. While it wasn't the most pleasant thing to be ostracized, he could understand why. Most virus types that looked like him weren't exactly common in this area, specially, on top of that they weren't exactly the nicest digimon either, specially those that had 'Devi' in their name. Shaking his head, he began to pick up his pace, best to drop off Coela's Truffles and then head home.
...At least that was the plan, until he got the feeling someone was watching him. Coming to a stop he slowly looked around until he spotted the culprit. A....Renamon? At least he thought that's what the digimon was, though it was pretty damn different from most of the Renamon he'd seen. For one she, least he thought it was a she, was covered in white fur, which looked thicker then the fur on others, and some armor. In addition to that she had a cape and she had these symbols and a brooch that-. His train of thought paused as he put everything together, his eyes widening slightly in realization. This....this is that 'K' person I've heard about. While he had never seen any of her actions in person, he'd heard about them through other people's conversations he'd heard. To say the least she was a hell of a woman from what he'd heard.
Noticing her raise her hand he stiffened up, before relaxing as she waved her hand at him, still staring at his as she did so. Giving her a small smile and a wave in return. While he intended to turn and keep walking, he kept staring at her, admittedly feeling like a creep as he did so. He wasn't sure why, but part of him was insisting on going over to talk to her, that something seemed...off.
Letting out a sigh and praying he wasn't making a mistake doing this, he turned towards her and started walking, people clearing a path for him as they noticed him. After working his way through, and giving a few apologies to some rather terrified digimon he'd bumped into, he made it to the railing. Resting a hand on his hip, he gave her a look of amusement. "Ya know, most people find it rude when you stare at them." He said in a teasing tone, a smirk on his face. Returning to a neutral expression, he raised a hand and pointed at the empty spot on the railing next to her. "Do you mind if I take a seat? I'd be fine with standing, but I'm kinda in need of something to rest on."

K continued to watch this particular individual for a few long moments, she didn't understand why people had such poor reaction to virus types honestly. They were so much more trustworthy than some of the data types and vaccines that she had met. With a soft sigh scratch her muzzle; flicking her eyes one way or the other. Though she kept finding them locking onto the Devimon. He stood out plain and simple, most mons around here were just either water or some kind of aerial type of digimon with sprinkles of robotic ones doing maintenance or something like that.
He turned and found her staring, it wasn't a surprise. It wasn't a surprise either when his eyes widened a little bit. So she was starting to get some kind of reputation or something? Or at the very least maybe the Devimon recognized the symbol she carried and the weight that it would have when dealing with angels or the like.
She wasn't surprised at him stiffening either; it could of easily been a way to conceal an attack or some kind of violent motion against him. But rather than that it was just a simple wave; his response was rather pleasing after his wave and smile well... He just kept staring; it just ended up making her head tilt a bit. She didn't care if people stared; but it seemed like he had something to say? Maybe? She didn't know.
When the Devimon turned and walked towards her she felt a little bit of uncertainty. She wasn't really aiming for a fight and hoped that this one wouldn't want something like Kerrick did. Fighting at super mega was rough on her for now and she wasn't about to go around slugging everyone when they wanted it.
K would grin slightly however when a few digimon moved out of the way, or were bumped into by this Virus type. People around here were fairly stiff about them weren't they? Raising her brows she'd chuckle and give a half bemused shrug.
"Most people I've run into don't stand out in a crowd, Not meaning to be rude but you're the first Devimon I've seen in a very long time. Something of a rarity I suppose."
She'd tilt her head and gaze at the railing before shaking her head at his question. Her tone was light, somewhat playful and friendly. She was more relaxed than she usually was but indeed something was off. She was nervous about being around so many people, nervous about all the threats that could be around. Constantly being on guard was... stressful.
"I don't mind. No one's sitting there as far as I'm aware. Just finished something rather strenuous I presume?"

Well, she was talking to him, that was good. And judging from her tone she wasn't bothered by him approaching her, also good. Meant he wouldn't have to worry about a fight over a misunderstanding.
Giving a chuckle and waving a hand dismissively at the apology. "Don't worry about it. In this form? It would be hard NOT to stick out." He explained as he took a seat on the railing next to her. "Aside from myself, I don't think I've ever seen a devimon. Least that I can remember." He gave a nod of confirmation as she questioned him. "Yeah just getting back from the Server Woods, went out there to get these" He pulled a bag from over his shoulder and shook it about. "A certain old fish I know intended to go out that way and get them himself. Course, him being a good friend, I didn't have the heart to let the old guy go out there and look himself, so I did it. Good thing I did too, a large group of Boarmon were sniffin about for these things as well. Good thing I had wings to get out of there." He flexed said wings as he said that, pain shooting through them as he did so, causing him to bend forward slightly and letting out a hiss of pain, his face scrunched up and lips pulled back. After a few seconds he relaxed and gave her an apologetic look. "Sorry, practically flew all the way here, wings hurt to move now."
As he had been talking he had also noticed something about K. She seemed....tense, uneasy. He wasn't entirely certain, but something in his gut told him the look in her eyes and the way she held herself were of a person who didn't like crowds too much.
Glancing around, he lowered his voice so that only she could hear. "I don't mean to make assumptions, but you don't seem like you are too comfortable with so many people around." He paused for a moment to let out a sigh, standing back up even though his legs weren't too happy about it. "If you want I know a place with far fewer people you can relax, it's the same place I have to drop the truffles off at. Course, if you don't want to I understand. Some guy you just randomly met offering to lead you somewhere is pretty suspicious, specially one that looks like me." He then held out a hand, an offering to help her up. "I probably should of said it earlier, but might as well say it now. The name is Caligo."

K let out an eased breath at the dismissal of her initial apology; after all she had been in the wrong for staring so dramatically at an individual when all she desired for those around her were.. Well. Peaceful interactions in some vein or another.
"I suppose so yes, I'm surprised the guards didn't make a mention of it honestly. Been... a very long time since I saw a proper Devimon, probably much longer than I'd care to admit."
The renamon paused and looked the Devimon over as he took a seat, as for a champion level digimon he was a magnificent specimen. Powerful in his own right and had come onto the power for his own, of his own. Would he use that power for others? Only time would tell on that; she appreciated it when digimon were self made but also understood the need of a partner such as a human.
The renamon tilted her head a little bit as the Devimon explained what he was out doing; some kind of gathering mission for another individual? An older gentlemen that the Devimon didn't want to get hurt. Something nice to think about another digimon risking their own limbs for someone else. Even if they were just a friend. She'd flinch a bit however when he seemed to negatively react to the stretching of his wings.
"Sore on the muscle level, I get you there. I don't have any forms other than... well. A particular dragon type with them, so I can understand it in some regard. Do you want me to give your muscles a small bit of healing?"
The renamon held up one of her hands, the palm glowing softly. If he took her offer she'd of course apply the small bit of healing energy to the area that would no doubt be the most painful. Muscle damage wasn't something to laugh at.
K would pause however when he addressed the idea that she wasn't comfortable with as many people around as there were. She'd sigh and just dip her head in a brief somewhat exasperated nod.
"Live in a small town for as long as I did and you'd have problems adjusting too."
She'd frown just a bit however when he stood up with that sigh; he seemed sore all over! Not just on the wings. She'd shake her head a little bit and rub her muzzle; some people worked themselves raw, she understood that much... The renamon smiled a little bit and shook her head again.
"A pleasure to meet you Caligo, My name is K. A devimon offering a renamon a place to get out of the crowd as it were? Most people would laugh you off or get aggressive but.. I think I'll take you up on that."
The words left unsaid by the renamon were pretty obvious; were the Devimon actually to try anything or have allies try anything it was likely it wouldn't get to far. She'd of course take that hand with an equally cheerful smile using the hand to pull herself up.
"A strange question but... You seemed somewhat surprised when I waved at you. Why?"
The renamon seemed ready to move and would follow the Devimon if he started moving, but if he decided to chat some more she wouldn't mind that either...

"K, huh, got it." As he helped her off the railing he glanced towards where the guards were at the gate. "When I originally started livin here and digivolved into a devimon the first time there was a bit of a ruckus. However I've been here for a few months now, so the sight of my may leave them on edge, but nothin aside from that. I mean, what're they gonna do? Arrest me fer bein a Devimon? At that point they'd be dealin with a shitstorm over racism, even if it was against a Devimon." He considered her earlier off to heal his muscles, before giving her a nod and small smile. "Think I'll take you up on that offer, once we reach that place I was talkin about. Nut now though... He then hefted the bag back over his shoulder, turned away from K, and waved for her to follow. "C'mon, it's this way."
When she asked him about his reaction when she waved at him he paused for a brief moment before glancing around, he sighed and gave her an apologetic look. "I'll tell ya once we get to the restraunt, don't wanna cause too much of a stir by sayin your name." He remained silent for several minutes as they kept walking, the crowds gradually thinning out until they were walking along a much emptier street, at which point he began talking again. "So, you come from a small town huh? Well, I don't exactly have much of a memory, I just remember waking up in the Network Plains one days with no idea about anything other then my name. For the first 6 months I kinda wandered around, goin from Terminus to eventually Whitewater, which I liked enough to settle down in." As he explained this the restaurant came into view, a smaller building similar to most of the other ones in WhiteWater aside from a plaque above the doorway that said 'Coela's Shack'. A smile spread across Caligo's face, his eyes brightening ever so slightly at the sight. "Ah we're here."
As he led the woman inside he continued to smile. It was a relatively small place, with about a dozen booths and two dozen tables spread throughout the area, as well as a small bar counter with a few stools off to the far right. Wooden planks covered the wall, floor, and ceiling, feeling in a way almost like they were inside an old pirate ship. Several large trophy fish could be seen hanging from the ceiling or strapped to the walls. Pictures and an assortment of various items depicting sailing and fishing were also strewn across the wall. "Well, welcome to the shack."
"CALIGO! AHOY THERE!" A Coelamon shouted as he made his way through the kitchen's door. "I see ye made it back in one piece lad, tis a relief." The fish said as he approached Caligo, patting the much taller digimon on the leg. He then took notice of the bag hanging over the Devimon's shoulder. "Why, would that be the truffles I asked ye to get lad?"
"Indeed they are, you salty old sea dog." He then lifted the bag up from over his shoulder and handed it over to the Coelamon, who took it with surprising ease.
"Thank ye, I'll be back in a moment, and remind me that we need to discuss a reward for ye going out and doing this." As he said this he turned back toward's the kitchen doors and went through them.
Caligo then leaned over towards K and whispered to her. "We won't talk about it, cause I'll "forget" that he needs to reward me for my hard work. Best not to bring it up with him, don't need a payment other then knowing that ol fish is alright."
While he was whispering to K, Coela came back through the door, and the look in his eyes when he saw Caligo whispering to K caused a feeling of dread to form in his stomach. "Why, Caligo, ye didn't tell me ye had a lass in yer life now!" The old fish said with joy, while Caligo's face quickly turned to a look of...dread? Horror? Fear? Perhaps all of them together.
"W-what, no Coela! She's just a friend who needed some place quiet to stay for a little bit since she doesn't like crowds!" The tone of his voice screamed panic and embarrassment. "Look, can we just sit at the bar?"
The old fish simply waved him off "Heh, sure lad, just friends. But yes, ye two can sit at the bar and can serve yerselves, I trust ye enough for that ye little imp." He then turned and returned to the kitchen, leaving Caligo to stand there pinching the bridge of his nose, the faintest hint of a blush visible under his mask.
"I'm really sorry about that, I didn't expect him to say something like that. Let's just sit at the bar and pretend that didn't happen." He then turned towards the bar and made his way over, taking a seat on a stool. "So, anything you'd prefer? Scotch? Whiskey? Vodka?" As he waited for her answer, he remembered her earlier question on why he reacted the way he did when she waved at him. Should probably answer that question now, huh?
He then looked over at her, a neutral expression on his face."Right, so now that we're here I should answer that question on why I reacted how I did. So, when I saw you and your appearance I was kinda certain of who you were, which was the Renamon known as K, one who has gone about helpin and savin people as well as many other stuff. I had heard about your exploits for a number of conversations I'd listened in on. I reacted the way I had since I recognized who you were, then when you lifted your hand I wasn't sure what you were about to do so I tensed up." He then gave an apologetic smile. "I didn't want to say anything earlier since, you know, I didn't think you'd want someone runnin up to you and going 'oh my god it's K!' or something, which, by the way, I wouldn't have done. But yeah, I figured you would have preferred being treated like a normal person and not having a group of people mob you because someone yelled your name."

K tilted her head a little bit and rubbed the back of her neck, her eyes flicking to follow where his gaze went. The guards at the gate that were dealing with their own problems and desires. Likely wanting to protect the citizens from all sorts of threats. His story made sense and the renamon gave a small dip of a nod to his explanation. He wasn't wrong there, they'd have a handful for just trying to arrest a virus type for being a virus type.
"Tch, yeah though that certainly sounds like they had a few rookies on the group... well not so much rookies in form as experience if you get what I mean."
The renamon dipped her head in a nod to his answer to her offer. She'd pad after him glancing back towards the crowded street before following quickly after him. She'd blink a few times however when he told her that he'd explain once they got to the restaurant as he didn't want to cause a stir by saying her name.
"I'm afraid I don't follow. Saying my name will cause a stir?"
The renamon's brow rose up and she'd rub along her neck feeling somewhat awkwardly. She wasn't that big of a deal, after all she just did some pretty minor things thus far.
"Yeah, it's not there anymore because of some digital bandits but.. It was a nice quaint place. But it's good that you found a place to settle down in."
The renamon shifted and looked over the restaurant as it came into view. She hadn't heard of this place before but with Caligo's reaction to it it must of meant a lot to him. She sighed softly and followed him in; looking around curiously for a few moments before flicking her ears at the sudden shouting of the Coelamon.
She'd look between the two of them as they spoke to one another. Standing off to one side she'd simply wait, rubbing her muzzle softly as the truffles were deposited into the 'hands' of the Coelamon. She'd shift a little bit so that the devimon didn't have to lean so far. She didn't really have much of a personal bubble honestly. However upon the arrival of Coela K blinked a few times and felt her cheeks go red; she'd cough awkwardly and shake her head.
She didn't need to say much on that regard and she'd shoot a sideways glance at the Devimon before taking a seat at the bar. She'd dip her head in a nod when he suggested they pretended that never happened. It would be easy to do that of course.
"Erm... I don't really drink all too much.. is there any tea or...?"
The renamon looked a little exasperated before sighing gently. She didn't really drink, she was worried about losing control honestly. The renamon shifted a little bit in her seat as the Devimon started to explain what she had asked about earlier. As he explained the renamon's face turned a light shade of red and she looked somewhat exasperated.
"...Well.. most of the stuff that I've done aren't really that big of a deal. I really didn't expect that to be the reason for your surprise, figured it was cause of this-"
She'd gesture at her holy symbol floating just a little bit above her upper arm. "I'm... not really used to people reacting like that, most people leave me alone or don't crowd me but is that really how people have started seeing me? I'm not... I'm not really that big of a deal."
The renamon sighed and leaned on the bar scoffing quietly.
"About a year ago I would of scoffed at all the things I have done. Sort of weird to think about; what sort of things have you heard? Exploits I mean? Like. It sounds like people are making them out to be bigger than they are..."

Hearing her ask about there possibly being any tea, he looked about at the drinks on the shelves behind the counter. "Hmmm, ah, there." Lifting a hand his arm stretched out, grabbing a bottle labeled 'green tea' from the lowest shell, retracting his arm once he had a good hold of it. Placing the bottle on the counter he then leaned forward and grabbed a pair of glasses resting on the other side and placed one in front of her and one in front of himself. "I'm personally not the biggest tea fan. But I'd rather not run the risk of getting sloshed, and I'd rather drink tea then tap water." He explained as he poured himself a cup, sliding the bottle to her. "Here." He then took a sip, sweeter then he had expected, but still a small hint of bitterness.
He then listened as she said her exploits weren't too impressive, how she had assumed the symbols on her were the cause of his concern, as well as her question on what exploits he had heard about. Of the three, he chose to approach the topic of her symbols first. "Eh, not really. I mean, a small part of me may have been uneasy due to instinct, ya know, not trusting a holy symbol due to the digimon I am or some nonsense. Really, the symbols were just one of a few pieces that helped me recognize who you were, after all, you don't often hear about a Renamon with the symbols of Jesmon on her body."
He then leaned back in his stool, rubbing his chin in thought. "As for the Exploits that I have heard about? Well, heard a few about situations involving you in the Dark Area, stuff about you going out and helping to destroy dark towers, and of course a fight with some Super Mega." He then sighed, taking a long drink from the cup of tea before continuing. "I'm guessing you don't think you deserve any sort of recognition for your deeds, huh? Well, I would say all those Digimon you've helped in the past would disagree. And don't tell me that those actions don't deserve recognition, cause if they didn't then those stories wouldn't have spread as much as they have. Your actions deserve recognition because what you have been doing isn't exactly common place. You've put your body and even your life on the line to help people, most of them that you don't even know. Sure, we'd all like to think we can do that, until we are actually put in a position where we need to. And yeah, perhaps some people do exaggerate some stories about you, but that doesn't change the fact that there is truth in those stories still. To the people that tell these stories and those that listen, you are a hero, and sometimes we need those in our lives. So stop sellin yourself so short, Hero." Once he finished he downed the rest of his drink, letting out an 'ahhh' as he swallowed.
"That's enough of my blabbering though, Most of it probably didn't even make much sense. You mention your hometown earlier and something involving bandits, what happened?"
