"Jeez a real mess we've got today Frank, what's the deal with this guy?"
Rose raised her eyebrows and stared down at the individual in front of her. She was wearing a poncho to shield herself from the rain but to the individual that she was staring at the rain would be the least of their worries. Squatting down while putting on gloves the man she addressed not moments ago sighed and shook his head.
"Just can't figure it out Dee, The marks on the body don't register to any known variable of weapon or animal we can find. But the placement of the wounds are way too precise for an animal."
"Way too quick too by the looks of it; happened almost instantly. Don't think they even noticed with how relaxed their body is."
With a frown the woman took the time to set the individuals wallet and personal belongings to the side. Frowning further as she noticed that no money was taken, the cell phone was still there and it seemed that the only real thing that was missing was the identification for this person's work place judging by the uniform.
"Contact the company?"
"Dee C'mon I might be out of practice but I'm not stupid, They were supposed to be at work almost three hours ago. They left four hours ago and called in that they were gonna be a little late cause their train didn't stop at the station like it was supposed to."
"Who found them?"
"Jogging couple this mornin, bout two hours ago."
"At the station?"
"Yeah, woman's a little shook up and their husband still hasn't woken up."
"First time seeing something like this can't really blame them."
The pink haired woman sighed and ran her hands through the pockets one last time frowning as she pulled out what looked to be some kind of advanced cell phone. Giving it a customary look over she was fairly displeased when it seemed to refuse to turn on. It's cracked casing mixed with a few other variables made the woman grumble.
"Look at this thing, ever see something like it?"
"No but it's deterorating? What the hell..."
Rose frowned a little bit as the item in her hands slowly went from being a firm piece of technological equipment to sand running through her fingers. Quirking a brow she'd turn her head to look around. Looking up at the blue uniformed man who now was writing down notes.
"Blue device, turned to sand in my hands but not before both of us saw it. Must of been sitting in there for at least two hours. But it was solid? What the hell..."
"Dee I think we stumbled on something bigger than either of our paychecks."
"Buckle up Johnson, Justice doesn't have a paycheck..."
No but it did have clues littered around, just what else was missing here? The tracks that they couldn't explain? The bite wounds that they couldn't understand? The precise nature or just the calm and peaceful look that this pencil pusher had in death?

"All right Dee, I just called the station and this doesn't match any MO of any of the more recent murders. So either this is a new one or some guy trying something new."
"I don't think this is a local honestly, doesn't match what they'd do. So maybe someone out of town trying something new or something."
Rose frowned and squatted down again looked over the ID that the victim had. They weren't someone she had ever met and the goofy stupid smile they had spoke volumes of what had been lost. The woman gritted her teeth and looked back at Frank who once again was on the phone arguing with someone on the other end.
She'd place the ID down on the wallet and blink as she saw something duck into the nearest alley. It was big and had a wolf like head. The woman glanced back at frank who hadn't seen the individual.
"Frank I'm going to check the next alley over."
"All right Dee, I'll join you when I'm done..."
The woman sighed a little bit and stood up, going over to where she saw the wolfish man dip into the alley. She got maybe three or four steps before a large hand came over her mouth; a second one grabbed her arm and wrenched it behind her while picking her up in the same motion.
"Shut up and listen. That... guy you're investigating was part of a community that was lookin' to take over some of the lawless elements 'round here. Every time I put a call into your stinkin' station no one took me seriously."
The woman squirmed and struggled in the grip of this individual who just pull her arm up more. The same hand that was making it impossible for her to yell tightened around her throat instead.
"You need to re-examine their company, find their boss. He's got a device like that... kid had. I'm gonna let you go and if you scream I'll gut your partner like a fish."
Rose was dumped like a pile of unwanted clothing on the ground. She'd cough for a little bit before staring up at what turned out to be something very different than what she was expecting.
"Wh... what are..."
"I'm a digimon, weregarurumon specifically. I need you to understand that you've come into something way over your head in both human and digital stuff. I'd like to explain but if we're interrupted I might be forced to off whoever..."
So it's one of those secrets huh...
Rose dipped her head in a nod and rubbed her neck; glaring up at the 'WereGarurumon' before speaking slowly.
"All.. right lets say I believe you. What now?"
"Got a place I can go to that isn't the station?"
"Yeah here, it's my old ID. It has my address but it's expired so you won't get any use out of it."
"Seriously? Your house?"
"Either that or the back of the police cruiser for assaulting an officer..."
"I'd break that car apart like tissue paper."
"Not before I'd-"
"They'd Do nothing, not even your tazers would help you. I'll see you tonight then."
The 'weregarurumon' snorted and took the ID that rose offered before trotting off. At the end of the other side of the alley away from where frank was he'd glance back and simply vanish leaving rose rubbing her neck... then her arm as she could feel them bruising. With a sigh she'd come back to frank who was sitting on a trashcan still bickering with the person over the phone.
"Frank I'm takin a walk."
"Huh? Oh. All right Dee, I'll wrap up here. Apperantly the boys are comin down to take a look at this so it's out of our hands now..."
Rose let out a soft sigh and shook her head, walking away from her partner. She was going to have a long night listening to whatever that bloody thing was wasn't she...?

Rose didn't like it, she didn't like how she was in the dark and that this thing whatever it was held all the cards she needed to get to even get this case wrapped up in any semblance. She wasn't sure how on earth this damn thing was even able to move around in the city. She would of heard about some wolf man traipsing around killing people on cameras right? The pink haired detective sighed and shook her head; leaning back against a wall outside of her pad. It was near midnight now and the streets were pretty empty past the occasional couple walking by.
She lived in a good part of town honestly in comparison to where she had been working at a little bit ago. Even if it was a better part of the town didn't mean it was anything like the more tame locations. There was still crime and there were still problems that she saw day to day.
But they all paled in comparison to the clawed hand that had wrapped around her neck back in the alley. A hushed growling and grating voice greeted her causing the detective to flinch a bit; turning her head to look at the wolfish man as he spoke wasn't much of a mistake considering.
"You told no one right?"
"Who am I gonna tell? Frank? This is way out of his depth."
The woman snorted and shook her head a little bit leaning back and putting a ciggerette in her mouth. It took two maybe three flicks of her old lighter to make her grumble in irritation. Much to her surprise however the weregarurumon's thumb produced a flame and he lit the end of the ciggerete. Not before helping himself to one of her's however; doing the same before leaning against the wall.
"Good stuff you humans have."
"They're not terribly expensive."
"Eatin's better than smokin'."
"Fair point. So you said you'd come here and talk."
"Nothin's changed. You need information I have, and I want the people that are causing trouble on this side removed. Their entire 'corperation' as it's called needs to get brought down. But they don't operate on this side as much as they do the other."
"Other side?"
"Right right, Digital world stuff. You don't know bout it cause you're not one of them yet; or won't be. Don't frankly care."
The weregarurumon inhaled a good chunk of the cig he took from Rose before eyeballing her.
"So Rose. What do you think we should do from here eh? Your jurisdiction on the human half is gonna help bring down this freakshow of a group. Cause doing what they're doing in the digital isn't legal. Ain't legal in the least."
"Well for starters you're right there, my Jurisdiction ends here. If there's a whole other world I can't cover that."
"Tch. That's unfortunate. Then you gotta catch them here."
"Which corp is it?"
"Same one as that fuckin guy I nixed."
"I don't think I can put away something that big."
"Not as you are maybe, but do some diggin. Find some friends, get some people that are willin to work for favors or money or whatever."
Another puff and the weregarurumon was out of his cigarette. Though without asking he took the entire pack from the human even going so far as to give her a small push on the shoulder.
"Sides. I think I know what we can do in the meantime."
"What's that?"
"Get you a device maybe, black market has a few probably. This side or our side. Ussually they don't work for other humans but that's not what we need em for."
"And what do we need them for?"
"A catalyst probably, I don't think it'd react too well if I attacked yah in reality. That and you still wouldn't stand a chance with that big ol gap."
"Lower power scale I get it."
"Tch. Fine Fine. no need to be so mopey."
"So what are you going to do in the meantime."
"Me? Oh. I'm going to stay at your place, better here than anywhere else."
"seriously?"
"You got a problem with that?"
"well you did commit murder."
"Oh no, I killed a serial killer and now I'm a murderer. What ever shall I do... Look. I'm not bout to kill an officer in cold blood like that freak."
The weregarurumon flicked the butt of the cigarette into the trash nearby with a small sigh. He'd pocket the pack that he took from Rose before staring up at the sky.
"Look I used to be a lot more cheerful, a lot less grim n shit. But these freaks took everything from me, my family and some more. Hell half of us are dead, the other half won't be comin back and the few that are left in the middle somewhere are just tickin time bombs. I'm the only one out of the entire bunch that isn't absolutely bonkers or on their second cycle."
"Okay Okay... Well then for now what do I call you?"
"Aries."
"Like the zodiac?"
"Yeah there's like... thirteen of us or something I think. Or was. I'm not really sure doesn't really matter."
"All right then Aries, you can stay at my place then. We'll try to get shit sorted out but.. Don't.. do what you did in the alley again."
"If you double cross me I'll make sure that it's much worse than that."
Rose shook her head and turned to put her key into the door, though she was faster than you'd expect still didn't stop the Weregarurumon to grab her neck again with one hand and pin her against the door with the other.
"That's a 'yes Aries I understand'. I ain't playing with this shit. Hundreds, thousands or even hundreds of thousands of fuckin people could die because of this and you need to be on board or I'm going to have to find another human after I gut your partner. Clear?"
"F-fuckin! Fine!"
The woman snarled and elbowed the weregarurumon in the chest, much to the irritation of the latter who just dropped her onto the ground.
"Tch. And I'll try to keep shit from gettin to you too. Don't expect me to do much more than that."
"Right right whatever. Fuckin. Stop doing that."
"be more punctual next time then and I won't have to."
Rose let out a soft snarl before opening the door to let the weregarurumon in. After a few moments he'd let out a soft whistle and go to take a seat on the couch. Rose quickly dropped the blinds in the room and started going room to room to do the same. She couldn't let others see this guy; else they'd have some serious problems.
It was maybe fifteen minutes before the officer took a seat in the kitchen, hearing the wolfman going through the channels. She'd pull out the stuff in her pockets going over her phone her l... Li...
The woman blinked a few times as the object she was starting at wasn't her lighter at all. Instead it was this black device, with blue buttons and some kind of pad. Marvelously designed and embroidered with something akin to her lighter. Rubbing her neck she'd look it over; quirking a brow wondering when she got it. A sharp inhale brought her attention to the wolf man who had gotten up after finding that there was nothing to really watch.
"...So you got one 'tween the time we talked in the alley and now eh? Did it happen before our last chat out front?"
"No I think it must of happened during the..."
She'd rub her neck a bit and wince. Though Aries came over and with a surprisingly gentle touch she could feel her neck heal from the bruising he was responsible for. With a soft growl he'd take the device, looking it over. A frown creasing on his lips.
"Spirit user it looks like, got a totem in there and everything. Hurts to fuckin touch too."
He'd wince a bit and hand it back to Rose who was rubbing her neck a bit. She'd stare up at the wolfman who just shrugged.
"Give it a swipe."
"Give... this?"
"Don't think about it just do it."
Rose shrugged and without putting too much thought into it ran her hand over the scanner portion of the digivice. There was a split second and she was covered head to toe in digital light. Her form shifted, twisted, shrank and seemed to tighten...
