If there was any blessing to this at all, the Raguelmon didn't seem to be one to dodge attacks. The fire, the Tri-Beam, and even Titania's direct efforts all struck home, his own attacks forcing K back while the remainder of the team whittled away at her frame. At this point, it wasn't a test of 'skill', but a demonstration of power:
Could they force K to submit before she overwhelmed the group? The Raguelmon seemed to understand this as well, tensing underneath that cloak as the storm crackled above. If they couldn't wrap it up in the next few moments, Mikemon feared that the fight was going to tilt heavily in her favor.
Titania was at point blank. Dio was at point-blank, and demanding a heal. Only Alice and Dorthy were keeping their distance, Mikemon himself sprinting up to a mid-range position. Dio's order, unfortunately, wasn't met with an answer: even if Mikemon wanted to, his hands still felt raw from that last heal. It wouldn't do either of them any good if he tried: rather, seeing K maintain her posture, the cat let forth his own attack:
"Crystal Storm!"
That red sphere was brought the maximum range in front of him, letting out a powerful 'shotgun' blast of red crystals - aiming to slam right into K's midsection. He grit his teeth, swearing under his breath. "Fall... fall down, already!"
Back in the library...
Flipping the breaker wasn't at all difficult: with Naoko's sprint over and with the effort of adrenaline in her veins, it was easy to flip it off, the Library coming to a halt as the lights above flickered out, replaced with paltry emergency lighting.
That much was fine - but the fact that Naoko's jeans had caught fire was far from ideal! As Naoko came back, the Stingmon would give a small blast of the fire extinguisher to, at least, remove the fire - the insect giving a nod. "From here, we should try and make our way out back - hm?"
Just as he said that, the Calumon's body gave a faint glow, the small red mark on its head giving a pulse. A moment later, that same golden light would briefly wrap around Naoko's frame - all trace of the smoke and fire damage vanishing in an instant! "Happy... thoughts..."
R-right, no time to focus on that! With a nod towards Naoko, the Stingmon would lean on, attempting to get to the back entrance!
Log:
Mikemon uses Crystal Storm against the apparently immobilized K!

This was foolish of them. They knew her rotation by now right? They knew what K was capable of, so why time after time did they decide it was good to convene on her at the summit of her power? She could feel the edge being taken off; the horrid wrenching sensation of power that spread throughout her body. The cloak itself was taking root quite nicely. The first strike was brought by the child playing warrior. Seeming to think the minuscule damage they were capable of with whatever claws she had would do much to her. She felt the touch of Titania's claws on her other arm; a brow quirked and she'd stare at the Fairy. "A child playing dress up. Do you really think that'd do anything."The cat started to pick through her cards again; she had an idea while she charged. Hearing Dio order out mikemon to heal him only made her look through the available cards faster. She had a few favorites; ones that would make her far stronger than what they could deal with. She grunted in pain as she felt each attack from Dio slam into her side; cutting against her time after time. It was painful; sure. It hurt sure. But she had outlived the pain before; she had become utterly broken before all of this. So what did the pain they inflict matter to her? The answer quickly came; but her glib tongue came first. "I recognize your strength Student. But your reach ends here."So imagine her surprise when not only did the last of this group didn't attack her but instead relied on a card once more to do their dirty work for them? With a snarl she'd activate a card of her own. The black ring like item wrapping itself snugly around her neck. She could feel the edge of the world fade away and slowly but certainly did she let out a marvelous cackle. "Dark Ring."Her eyes, blue normally flashed with a dangerous purple. She was far gone into the recess of her mind. But the ring itself gave her the power to fight even further. She felt her body able to move again; but rather than immediately take action she was gifted with another irritating problem. The shotgun of crystal from mikemon not only saved her the trouble of re-positioning but it also helped her avoid that slow moving cloud's initial gait. She'd gingerly shift as she was sliding backwards so that she'd land a good ten or so more feet away but rather than fully stand like she had she brought her hand down with a thunderous cry against the ground. "EL-THOR!"Unlike inside of the library this one certainly had fewer restrictions, fewer places it could bounce off of and collapse into. It wouldn't damage the library no; but it certainly would sear at the very ground and wrench through the air. The fine cloud that was still heading her way took a large brunt of the attack before the electricity passed through it. If they were unlucky or foolish enough the trio closest to her would take the brunt of the attack! Battle Log: -K has been hit by the Gilgamesh Slicer -K has been hit by Bloody Claw Barrage -Using mikemon's Crystal storm, She avoid's the cloud's intial placement and uses her own attack to neutralize the attack! -K Uses an Empowered El-Thor! [Weather + Cloak of Judgement] Passive: Charge: For each empowered basic attack or Lightning based move, this digimon builds up a stack of charge. Upon three charges this digimon may release an explosive bolt of lightning dealing high damage to a single target. While there is no cool down on this move it requires others to operate. A target must be within a hundred feet. This digimon doesn't lose charge but must hit a digimon to gain charge. Voltic Core: This digimon can absorb electricity that it hasn't produced to heal itself. Whether from environment or from moves; moves that would damage it heal it by half instead while the environment if given a constant surge heals it by a medium amount per turn until fully healed. Attack Used: El-Thor: This digimon slams it's fists into the ground sending out a super nova of lightning all around it. This lightning bounces and twists through metal objects; conducting through them rending their forms in twain. Metal wearing individuals will find their items super hot and burning at the touch. Robotic digimon, armor clad digimon or those with metallic weapons will find the damage to them is immense. This move can be negated through grounding oneself in some fashion or another. Three post cool down. Range of 50 feet. Active Effect: Cloak of JudgementThis digimon gathers a massive amount of energy within itself for a single post. This makes its body erratic and jittery as electrical energy arcs off of it. At the end of this charging period this digimon has a cloak of energy around it's entire form. This allows it to move faster, hit harder and any attacks that miss rebound back to the owner providing half of a charge. This ability lasts for three posts and has a cool down of three posts. Can only be used three times in a thread. Cooldowns: El-thor: [0/3] Charges: [0/3] Card used [2/3] WG-24 Card Name: Megabyte Thunderstorm Type: Environment Rank: Silver Duration: 3 Post [3/3] Effect:Lightning streaks across the sky, flashing brilliantly and making flying far more difficult. Thunder/Lightning type moves are boosted in power.
DA-21 Card Name: Dark Ring Type: Modify Rank: Bronze Duration: 3 Posts [1/3] Effect: The target Digimon is struck by a dark ring. Their combat prowess increases, but they also grow far more malicious and cruel.

"More than you'd think." Was all that Titania replied with. She knew the risk of coming up here, and she was more than ready to respond in kind. As the Raguelmon did yet another card-slash and readied an El-Thor, Titania did sort of realize something. Not only were the gloves coming off in earnest? But she was going to need to actually put her all into this next Protect Shade.
And so she did. Harsh winds surrounded the fey-like digimon as she extended her hand and the electricity arced across and through it, and the attack sent Titania skidding back once more.
That...
Really hurt.
More than usual. There were Lichtenberg scars lining the entirety of Titania's form by now, scars that were both recent and beginning to heal. All from the course of this fight. She couldn't quite do much else but attempt to gain some distance from K and see how the others would change up their plan, if any.
Meanwhile. Naoko only realized her jeans were on fire right when Stingmon doused her. Sooo...She was left patting that down. "...Maybe...Though I'm sort of worried about how the others are doing..." She stated as she began to follow Stingmon towards the back entrance. "...It's alright, we'll be alright. Promise..."
Right?
Passives: Grace of the Queen - Maniac: Every turn that passes by while a bleed effect is on an opponent allows Titania a passive regeneration.
Flying Fairy: Every three turns, Titania can toggle a piercing effect for whichever move she’s using.
Titania would avoid a good chunk of the damage from El-Thor using Protect Shade! She then attempts to make some distance between her and K.
Protect Shade: A barrier of wind similar to Tornado Gamba surrounds Titania’s front. But, it’s not an attack. This move is dedicated entirely to the barrier, as it extends outwards and is liable to cause harm to physical attackers as well as very literally dice ranged attacks to shreds. It only blocks one attack, though. Three turn cooldown.
Cooldowns: Flying Fairy: 2/3 Noble Fairy Dance: 2/2 Blood Frenzy: 1/3

Carlos meanwhile still kept himself busy by keeping the fire enveloping the place at bay, his mouth and nose now covered by the jacket he had just tied around his face to protect himself from the smoke, though taking great care it didn't catch fire. While the other three had gone down to take care of the faulty generator, he had been doing a...mostly good job keeping the fire from consuming the library. Mostly. Sure, the fire wasn't advancing, but it wasn't stopping either. Carlos had reached an almost perfect stand still with the flames, though it was only a matter of time before his extinguisher finally ran out. The sudden change in lightning that ensued as the lights went out admitedly took him by surprise, but even so he did not move from his spot, too focused on spraying the flickering wild fire. At least he could have some solace knowing Naoko and Stingmon had managed to solve that problem. Either that or they were all about to blow. Hard to say really, all he could do is hope they had succeeded in taking care of the generator, and that they would get back soon.
Dio gritted his teeth in frustration as his attack slowly wind down. As usual, not even their combined efforts were enough to stop K's ensuing counterattack. He braced himself for the impact, standing his ground firmly as he raised his arms in a vain effort to defend himself. Once again he felt the electrical current running through his body, his being screaming in agony as flesh was burned and metal was bended deeper into him. It didn't matter how numbed from reality he was, how many times he was shocked again and again. It always hurt...except... This time it felt different somehow, and not just because her attack had gotten stronger. Indeed, in his rage the demon had completely forgotten about how he wasn't fighting in the Library anymore. He wasn't surrounded by highly conductive metal anymore, just his feet firmly planted on the charred grass below. For once, not being airbone had probably been the best choice. How ironic, his wings being fried had played out mostly in his favor. In the end, it mattered little however, he was still on his last legs after that discharge. At most luck had given him a couple more minutes to fight. His body felt heavy, his breathing was weak, but he couldn't stop. Not yet. "K...." His voice was devoid of any emotions. No trace of that rage from just a second ago, nothing. Just a dead, completely unwavering monotone as his body practically tumbled forward, barely able to keep himself straight as he reached forward, claws clumsily trying to dig into the feline's body. Regardless of it that was succesful or not, he'd still end up closer to the black cat, his head barely rising to see her to her face. There she was, just inches away from him. His teacher and his torturer. His friend and his enemy. His only lo- "I...hate you so much..." Were the last things he muttered, before all his remaining energy exploded in a red beam shooting out of his eyes, aimed to pierce that wretched creature's foul body. Even now however he could feel his body failing, his form fading away. If he didn't get any support, this might just be his last contribution to the fight... After taking the powered El-Thor Dio attempts to stab into K's side, before shooting a Red Ray at point blank range. Passives
Shadow Talisman: At the start of combat, your attacks gain 'Ethereal'. The first shield, per thread, that your attack comes into contact with is ignored, OR The first instance of your opponent's teleportation or intangibility is cancelled.
A dull gray stone on a metal string, said to originate from the Core of Darkness. Actives
Crimson Curse: Staying true to his barely suppressed virus nature, once his health is reduced by 50% this digimon can "toggle" a berserk like trance, allowing his lust for fighting to take control of him during a fight, forcing him to attack every turn if possible, but also buffing him to deal 40% increased damage while also taking 10% more damage from all sources. Additionally, his bloodlust is so great he has trouble differentiating friend from foe in the heat of combat, so he will not hesitate on attacking those that get in his way. He can however, with enough exertion of will power, stop himself from attacking for the turn. Doing this repeatedly has a slowly increasing risk of Neodevimon harming himself, however. Lasts until the end of the fight, can only be used once per thread.

One last push is all the group needs, and all they're going to get from the spellcaster duo. The moment Alice spots the crackling of electricity once more, she realizes how it works, and in her desperate, foolish desire to both save her partner from further damage, she attempts to leap onto and tackle down the Wisemon. With no time to explain what she's doing, she doesn't say a word as she does this, the urge to protect her partner at all costs overriding all sense of self preservation. Crashing to the ground with Dorothy, the two are shaken, but unaffected, the green haired woman pouring all her hatred into one final attack, kneeling instead of standing up. Every part of her body hurts, telling her to stop using power that she should never have used or been able to use in the first place, screaming at her to stop. And yet, Alice continues. One last contribution to this living nightmare as the world begins to go dark around her, a ring shaped pattern from her hand followed by a blue circle, hoping to at least deal some damage. Just as Dorothy gets up and is about to berate her Tamer for such reckless actions, Alice finishes the spell, a jet of water shooting out at K before the emerald haired woman begins to collapse, her eyes slowly closing as she falls to the ground in exhaustion. "...Run." To push herself this far in the first place is enough, she thinks to herself before finally losing consciousness. "...Urgh... You really are a dork sometimes..." Immediately, Dorothy can feel that she doesn't have much time, lifting Alice up off the dirt and attempting to carry her away from the battle. Power drains away from Dorothy every second her Tamer lay unconscious, an infuriating, horrible feeling that makes her dizzy, her focus faltering and having to actually take a few steps every now and then instead of float around. All she needs to do is get Alice somewhere safe, anywhere but here. With the Library in shambles and already unable to think straight, she simply heads in any direction away from the fight. Perhaps to Terminus, then even further if needed. It doesn't matter where she goes, what matters is that it is as far away from this abomination as possible, having already failed to protect her own Tamer, not just from the electric feline, but from herself, the events leading up to this both unbelievable and frustrating. Digimon always rely on their Tamers, but not to that extent. Having to rely on a human more or less stealing her strength... It makes her feel sick.
One last instance of Spell Charge and Aquary Pressure are used by Alice in a last ditch attempt to deal some damage before she collapses. With her own Tamer down, Dorothy attempts to flee with her instead of attack. One can pursue the pair if desired.
Spell Charge (RAM UPGRADE 1): Having improved her skills, Dorothy can now create a white magic circle with a hollow interior, like a ring, that acts as an amplifier for all of her spells, allowing much more devastating and powerful effects.
Provides a passive effect that enhances her next attack in a different way depending on what attack is used: Poison Storm blinds for two turns. Baluluna Gale does greatly increased damage (and impact). Aquary Pressure requires no time to charge, and can be used immediately after Spell Charge if needed. Shardallion Lens protects up to three targets from projectiles. Armagus Flare ignites for two turns. Mark Of Golachab's effects last for 4 turns.
Can only be used three times per thread. Aquary Pressure: A blue magic circle gradually forms at Dorothy's the attacker's hands as she focuses, and when sufficiently charged, it glows brightly before focusing into a pinprick-sized beam of ultra-high pressure water capable of cutting through objects, piercing holes in walls, and shredding flesh apart.
Ignores most defensive buffs, shields, armor, hiding in cover, and so on. Takes one post to charge up.

Damn it... damn it!
Damn it all! Mikemon grit his teeth as K somehow endured through that last onslaught - and with little remorse, cracked forth one more 'El-Thor', enhanced by both the weather, her personal strength, and that of even a Dark Ring! It was impressive enough for one to very easily lose hope, and to feel completely outmatched - just how much longer could the group endure?
... No, he couldn't complain. In fact, if that was the case, Mikemon had only one option: rather than back away from the storm, the feline sprinted right for it, wincing as that powerful electricity crackled off his fur. It hurt - it really hurt, the energy spiking through him before diffusing off into the ground - but he couldn't back off. As Dio prepared his own Red Ray, Mikemon directed his own, right in line with Alice's Aquary Pressure.
His arms stretched out, those three points of light once more lining up:
"TRI-BEAM!
His voice bellowed, Mikemon putting pretty much all he had into that last blast - intent on tearing right through that Raguelmon with everything he had left. With how the fight was, well, it was all he could do!
"They'll be fine." Stingmon's encouragement to Naoko was short. Just as they reached the back door, he held it open, ushering for the girl to step out: "But right now, they need all the focus they can. That won't happen if we're worried about the Library falling on top of us... speaking of."
With that, he turned and called over his shoulder:
"Carlos! We've got it handled on this side - hang on just a bit longer!"
Fortunately, the fire hadn't spread much further than the main Foyer!
Log:
Mikemon cuts the distance and suffers an El-Thor, before returning a Tri-Beam!

They were simply children playing in a warriors game. She wouldn't had any hate towards them, any malice or contempt if it had not been for wisemon's orders. Simple orders that were even simpler if you spent time thinking about it. So seeing the child throw up that defensive barrier like it meant anything made the raugelmon snort softly.
Then they started to back away from the mega; like a fool if they thought that would do anything. She'd shake her head slightly and grin somewhat as she considered the next step here. Her student, this fairy creature, the doctor, the other wisemon and their human. Which would make the best target?
Obviously it'd have to be the human right?
If she struck then it'd be easy, it'd be plain, it'd be simple. Spreading her wings just a bit she was gifted with the sight of her student struggling to deal with her last El-thor. Though the fact that he was still standing made the mega level consider quietly.
He would make a great soldier for him wouldn't he?
However her student spoke; a single letter and yet a single word. It fell on her deaf ears only simply making the raguelmon's brow shoot up a bit. Just what did he want anyways? He clumsily made a move to dig into her which she backed away from thinking him foolish she'd move to swipe him away from her figuring him delirious.
The red ray caught her by surprise. Completely. A startled yelp lept out of her throat as the red ray not only did what Dio was hoping. But far far much more.
It punched through her armor, through her body underneath and out the back. It took a few moments but the raguelmon slowly brought up it's hand to the hole in her chest. The sparking blue of her core could be seen easily. The lightning energy dancing off of it like a circus show. She'd look to speak; look to say something but all she could manage was spewing a slough of icy blue data on the ground. Next came the coughing fit as she not only realized that she had been hit far too much; but that this form was now compromised. One hand to her-... One.. Hand to her...
The raguelmon's eyes went hazy for a few moments, the world went blank but her legs still moved on their own. The ring was still pushing her, trying to push her further. Trying to make her do what she needed to. But it like it's owner snapped under the duress of the attacks she had endured. Had weathered like a stone in a river.
She fell to her knees, her sole hand trying to keep more of that icy data from splattering out but failed badly. She'd let out a barely controlled and strangled bubbling cry.
Her eyes flickered and shimmered; selecting through her cards sporadically as her body tried to keep itself going.. Tried to keep herself from falling over.
She felt another attack punch through her chest, on the other side of her core. Leaving two large gaping holes in her chest. The gentle thrumming of her core and the electricity that danced around it only brought another gout of that icy blue data that she had coughed up not a few moments earlier.
It was strange wasn't it? For the rustiest axe, for the numbers, for the might oak itself stood tall. But against a thousand cuts, a thousand inches of steel sliding slowly across bark that had weathered ages untold. Did there yield a single absolute truth.
A truth that was re-enforced by yet another attack. A strong one that not only blasted the Raguelmon away from the NeoDevimon, but it punched straight through her stomach much like the earlier attacks had punched through her chest. A severe gout of blue data erupted from her mouth and the raguelmon landed heavily on her back a good twenty feet away from Dio.
"Fooli...ish... w-wretches..."
The Raguelmon's form sputtered, stitched and shattered apart. The light of de-divolution made itself known without a doubt; without an inch of a doubt that the group did not only succeed in their endevour to protect the library. They had done what had been unthinkable by the individual bearing wisemon's mark.
That they had won.
Battle Log: -thinking that the neodevimon was down and out from her attack K was caught off guard. Being struck by Red Ray point blank creating a large hole in her chest. -During her attempt to find a healing card for herself she was struck by Aquary Pressure, punching through the other side of her chest near her core. -K has been struck by Tri-beam! Knocking her away from Dio and pushing her down to rookie.

Well.
Titania considered getting distance from K to be the smartest move in the book thus far, especially after she threw up her barrier to avoid the El-Thor. No, it may not have meant something good immediately. But it meant she could keep fighting. Though, that had no longer been necessary. Why? Because Dio and Mikemon seemed to have won this impossible-seeming slog of a fight in the span of three? Yes, three strokes.
There were about a hundred snide, crude, and honestly unspeakable words that Titania could arrange into a sentence for what just transpired. Yet, one has to be dignified.
"That's what I thought it'd lead to....Mikemon? Grab your spouse." Was all she said, the Shutumon keeling over before she sat up. Exhaustion set in -fast- for her. But as far as she knew and saw...? It was over.
"I don't doubt that, Stingmon. I really don't. But it's...That thing's...nothing like anything I've watched Titania fight. You'll have to forgive me for at least worrying a little for a friend." With the door open, Naoko quickly stepped out before she coughed some more. At least she herself was safe...?
But what of the others? Their fate was kind of uncertain even with Stingmon's call. Was everything going to be alright?

To be bluntly honest, Dio was not expecting his last attack to even hit his mark, let alone do any kind of substantial damage. He certainly was not expecting his attack to punch through K's armor and leave a gaping hole in its wake. Then another attack landed on her, and another one.
Soon she would fall backwards a good distance away from him and down to the ground, three newly made holes in her body. Unconscious. Injured. Defeated.
The demon stood there, frozen, almost taken as offguard as K had been just a second ago. Somehow they had won the battle of attrition. Dio really could only laugh. A sad, tired, somewhat deliruous sounding laugh, but a laugh in the end. He didn't get to savor his victory for long however. The demon's body collapsed forward, landing limp on the cold ground, his form slowly fading away with a dull glow and shrinking in size, leaving a battered and bruised Impmon in its place.
He could barely feel his body anymore. His head was spinning, his ears ringing. He felt nauseous.
But he was still alive. Everyone was still alive.
Despite the exhaustion and pain his body was suffering, a content expression appeared on Dio's face, a weak chuckle escaping his mouth as his eyelids slowly closed. He wanted to celebrate with the rest but...he was just so tired to even think anymore. Maybe after a quick nap he'd feel in better shape.
Just before he fell unconscious however, he'd still have barely enough energy left to mutter out something completely inaudible for anyone but himself.
"...are you...proud of me...K..."
Carlos was, as per usual, completely unaware of what had just ocurred outside, too busy playing keepaway with the fire while trying desperately to keep it under control. Really there was only a short time left until the extinguisher would run out at last, but it wasn't like he had anywhere else to run to.
Stingmon's voice came as a relief to the man, knowing the other three were not only still alive and kicking, but had managed to fix their problem. At least he hoped that was the case.
"Great! Could you guys hurry up a bit? I don't know how much juice does this thing have left!" He replied, glancing behind him for a moment before turning back to face the inferno, too focused on spraying it with whatever was left on the extinguisher to pay attention to much else.

The silence is enough to make Dorothy realize that things have calmed down, the currently Rookie Digimon trying to get Alice to wake up, the purple gerbil's ears on end as she listens to the faint sounds of commotion, the kind that doesn't seem to be that of a battle raging on. She sighs in relief, exhausted from the events of the fight herself and having been forced to drag her human partner out of harm's way.
At least Alice isn't dead, she thinks to herself, sitting atop her Tamer with a tired but angry expression, ready to lunge at anything that dares come close, defensive and expecting the worst at any moment, trying to keep her mind off of what she believes to be the truth.
She was too weak. As always. Never able to catch up, and the gross paradox of an Ultimate she was given by her own Tamer makes her feel even worse, it having felt stronger yet less powerful at the same time.
Eventually, the green haired woman stirs. Everything hurts, a slow, throbbing pain as if her entire body was chopped up then reassembled. A long, drawn out groan comes from her, limbs too weak to lift her up. And guilt that everything that happened is more or less her fault. After all, she's the one who brought Calumon here. "...What happened? Did we survive?" It takes a good moment for her to move at all, struggling to even get on her knees, a dizziness prevalent in all of her actions. Whatever she did back then, her body most certainly didn't agree with it now.
Hopefully the others would find her and Dorothy, the pair not being that far from the Library or the scene of the battle, but for now, Alice is too weak to stand.

Grab your spouse?
Oh, it was a little more complicated than that, but Mikemon wasn't about to argue with the results. In fact, there was a tinge of concern in his expression as that white fox practically bounced across the battlefield, battered by both the Tri-Beam and the Aquary Pressure. But he couldn't let up. Sprinting forward as best as he could manage at this point, the cat reached into his glove, and pulled out a syringe, a formula that - thankfully - had survived thus far through the battle.
First things first: reaching the Renamon, the doctor would plunge that syringe right into the thick of K's leg, its data solution quickly spreading through her frame. It wouldn't free her from the mark, not yet - but with that small addition, K would find it nigh-impossible to Digivolve, at least for the next several hours. Holding his hand there for a few moments, the cat let out a relieved sigh.
She was down. She wasn't going to hurt anyone here any further.
Holding a hand out to his right, a portal opened up, one registered from the Terminus Shop. Hoisting the fox over his shoulder, he stepped partway through - and murmured something to those just out of sight. At some point, the Renamon would be picked up by someone, Mikemon looking relieved as he stepped back on the 'Library' side of the portal.
It was done. That Wisemon's book remained on the ground for now... and as Mikemon turned to the group, he gave a nod...
... And promptly gave a blink at that burning Library. "Oh, hell, Carlos!" Snapping right back into it, he started to stagger over in that direction... Yes. Carlos was right to be worried. The fire continued to creep around, smoke starting to fill the room as it began to overwhelm the extinguisher. Once Naoko was safe, the Stingmon swore under his breath, hearing that call from inside. Damn it, just how bad did it get? The insect started to sprint right back inside...
... Entirely forgetting the bunny that rested on his shoulder.
"NO!"
The Calumon, giving that one, desperate shout, found the red mark on its head give a powerful pulse, its light expanding out to encompass the entire Library. At once, all the flames would flicker and die out, and even the smoke would seem to vanish on the spot. Left behind were singes of burnt furniture and walls... but the very flame that Carlos fought was gone.
At that, the Calumon sprung from the insect's shoulder, and hugged right around Carlos' ankle, eyes clenched shut. From Mikemon's perspective? Seeing the fire die out like that was nothing short of a miracle. Pausing right there - hearing both Stingmon and Calumon out in the background a few moments later - he knew Carlos was safe. Well. He could still see him through the open front door, anyway.
"... Dear fucking lord..." The cat shook his head. "The shit I've put you all through today. Don't know if I could ever thank you enough... but I'm sorry."

Titania lay on her back, staring at the cloudy sky. Exhaustion had hit the fairy hard, evidenced by her prompt dedigivolution into Tinkermon. "...Think I just ran...three whole marathons. Never again." The fairy grumbled to herself, wiping some sweat off of her brow. Then it hit her that she had left the humans in the library, and Titania pulled herself to her feet to stagger in with Mikemon.
Meanwhile. Naoko watched as Stingmon sprinted back in, and when the pulse had come? She ran in after him. Can't blame her, really. She thought there was more, but there was actually far, far less. Namely no fire. She stopped her sprinting and glanced around, panting. "...Hey...Where'd...Dorothy and Alice go...?"
Titania glanced towards Mikemon. "...N-No biggie, I swear. Just...don't make me fight any more cats please."

To say Carlos was starting to panic would be a rather big understatement. After all, the smoke from the fire was starting to get through his jacket, making his eyes water, the man coughing in pain as he could feel his throat burning with all of the breathed smoke and ash. And to add insult to injury, the extinguisher was finally running out of liquid, small and sporadic bursts of white foam barely sputtering out of the hose, barely enough to even slow down the flames by this point.
The white haired man cursed under his breath, throwing the metallic cylinder to a side in frustration. Could this really be the end? Trapped on a burning metallic base on another world? A rather depressing, if bizarre way for things to end, frankly, but no less tragic.
Or at least that's what he thought, until he felt...something.
A powerful pressure in the ambient, a sudden wave that vibrated through his whole body, the whole Library. Just like that, the flames would suddenly die out, dissipating into thin air as if a huge gust of cold wind got rid of them. Carlos blinked once. Twice. Completely at a loss for words for just what could have made this happen.
Then he felt...something grabbing at his ankle, startling him a bit until he looked down and realized it was Calumon. What was he doing here? Had he looking for the man for looking for safety, or to save him? Many questions of that nature spiraled around the man's head, though the red glow on the white creature's forehead made him wonder something else entirely.
Had Calumon just got rid of all the fire?
That wouldn't be too much of a stretch really, the doctor had mentioned something about the little creature having the energy signature of a Mega, so such a feat was probably child's play for him.
Didn't make it any less impressive, however.
"...holy shit..." Was all the flabbergasted man could really muster. And even on the rare case he hadn't been responsible for saving him from the fire, he and Stingmon had been the first ones to get to him. Whatever the case, he really had only thing he could say, as he looked down to Calumon with a relieved expression. "...thanks little guy."
Having said that however, it was clear the small digimon was not having the best of days. Considering someone send out a digimon as powerful as K to capture him though, who could blame him? Without a second's hesitation, Carlos would reach down for the small creature and, if Calumon allowed it, would gently pick him up and give him an equally gentle hug, carefully petting the digimon's head.
"There there, don't worry. It's alright, we're fine." He tried to reassure him, trying his best to calm himself down as well, still shaken up. It was then when he heard it, however.
Silence. Outside the Library it was a complete silence, at least compared to the pandemonium from just a few moments ago. Such a sheer lack of sound could really only mean two things: either they had somehow succeeded against K...or he had to run out of there with Calumon while he still could. Considering Stingmon was also there however, and not trying to get him into a portal to a safer place or something, he wanted to assume the best case scenario. He turned to face at the insect digimon, asking a simple question.
"Is everyone alright?"

Alice slowly gets to her feet, staggering around almost blindly before she gains a good footing, her head aching and her ears ringing with an abnormal, almost electric hum. When she finally stands upright, her words to Dorothy are a bit unexpected, perhaps even a little bit irrational. "Well, let's keep going." She closes her eyes and inhales, the stern frown across her face similar to but completely unlike her usual expression. Guilt for what happened to everyone, all because she was curious about a strange little creature.
"Why? Aren't people worried about ya or somethin'?" Dorothy responds, not sure what to think, still feeling weak and vulnerable as she floats by her Tamer's side. As much as she's right about this, Alice isn't having any of it, the green haired woman seemingly not caring about the fact that the group succeeded in their goal, but more focused on the fact that she believes it is her fault. "Heck, I saved you..."
"Yes, but... I don't feel ready to confront them about this. Besides, I'm sure they'd understand that we need a break from fighting..." The emerald haired woman almost seems disheartened, her tone not quite one of defeat, but one of discomfort. "Listen. the last thing we need right now is someone with a severed arm angry at us for exactly that. Well, and people probably already blame me for starting this. I brought Calumon here with you." She states this with a stubborn look, her opinion unable to be changed.
"Can't change your mind or head anywhere else, guess I'm just stuck with ya..." Already grumpy from her powered down state and unable to reason with her own Tamer, she sighs, mumbling to herself a few faint insults under her breath before she finally speaks her mind. "You can hardly even walk, y'know."
Alice snaps at her own Digimon before staggering once again, almost falling into the grass once more."Quiet!" As much as she wants to deny it, Dorothy is right, and instead of continuing in her own direction, she decides to head back towards the Library, the building somehow no longer a flaming, scorched mess, though at a glance it most definitely was worse for wear. "...Sorry. I've been thr-"
"We. You mean we, dork. We've been through a whole lotta garbage." The slight twinge of anger evident in Dorothy's response isn't noticed by her Tamer, the Tsukaimon soon picked up by Alice and carried along.
And despite Alice's smile as she tries to head back to the others, it seems forced. "Hey! Can someone help us!?"

They were fine.
They were all fine. At the end of it all - with how close it came time and time again - Mikemon almost couldn't believe that the worst had passed them. His word of thanks was responded to by Titania, the cat giving an idle nod towards the fairy type. Dio and Alice were more-or-less down for the count, whereas the rest, well, they could at least stand on their own two feet.
Alice's question brought the Mikemon back to attention. Right, everyone here was hurt, some more badly than others! "Er, right. Everyone, pull in around here!" Stepping near the fallen Dio, Mikemon waited for the rest of the injured to be dragged on in. He gave his red crystal a short toss into the air, at which it would float in place, a radiant emerald energy surrounding the group a moment later. Wounds would mend, fatigue would lighten, and aches would slowly slip away.
It wouldn't be perfect, but it would be enough to at least bring the crew back on their feet.
"Least I can do... considering all that's happened."
As for the Calumon? He'd be plucked right up in Carlos' arms, returning his hug around his shirt as best as he could manage. Despite everything, the 'little guy' couldn't help but cry out: the storm was over, and he could finally just let all of those emotions run free.
Stingmon, meanwhile, gave a nod towards the tamer. "Somehow or another, it is. Um... good to see you safe, Carlos."
[End]
