Apparently, the Village had a problem with rogue digimon attempting to prevent the rise of glorious civilization. It never ended with this type of thing, unless someone put a stop to it. And that someone, it seemed, would have to be him. Having heard the news of a pair of digimon taking the time out of their day to ruin things for the rest, he had gone to the job board and applied for the task of getting rid of these little pests. The worksheet told him to go to the forest, and that someone would be waiting with further instructions.
He made his way there, the forest building up on the horizon until it was looming over him. An elecmon was sitting on a stump, tapping his foot impatiently. "What took so long! We need to get these idiots dealt with!" He tapped his foot on the roots of the stump, his arms folded, an impatient look on his face. Jeremiah, looked around, confused. "Are you going to tell me where I need to-" A slightly shocked expression overtook his face as the Elecmon loudly interrupted him. "No! We're waiting for one more, hold yer horses human." Jeremiah sighed, and went to lean against a tree, waiting for the last person.

Waking with a stretch, Iachi clawed at his elbows idly for a moment, taking another good look at himself in a puddle. It still wasn't a dream. He was stuck as this... this... Wait? What time was it?
He sniffed at the air and peered around his makeshift tent, knowing there was somewhere he had to be. He would have to skip out on breakfast, but he was used to that. The Monodramon yawned and shook his head, making his way up the path that lead to Rosewood from the little clearing he had decided to rest at.
"We're waiting for one more, hold y'er horses human." The Elecmon organizing the job at hand jumped up and down impatiently, not noticing the little purple dinosaur making his way toward the designated meeting spot in the job listing.
If there was one way to find out what was going on and get back home, learning as much as he could about this place and its rules with a little hard work was probably it.
"Apologies, I'm not late am I?" The Monodramon smiled and looked around, eyes suddenly widening as they came upon the oth... the human. "My name is Iachi," his smile widened, "Iachi Tanaka. I hope it to be a pleasure working together."

The little purple dragon wandered over, and a bemused expression crossed Jeremiahs face. That was interesting, he assumed he'd be partnered with another human. Though it made sense it would be a digimon, seeing as how he was in the digital world and all. Another small quirk he would have to work on, assuming he'd be met with humans. He wasn't on earth anymore.
He gave the digimon another appraising look. While it didn't seem like he was strong, that kind of thing could often be misleading here. He did see a small old man with a staff take down a dinosaur earlier. That was a shock. He'd reserve his judgement after seeing it in action.
"Yes, but it is of no matter now that you are here." A stern but fair tone, it was unfair of Jeremiah to expect perfection of those that were not capable of it. "So, where do we go?" The Elecmon pointed to the forest. "In there. They'll find you" He cackled to himself, before wandering away.
"That was... unneeded, don't you think?" He mentioned to his new companion, a dour look on his face. "I'm sure whoever this is must be ecstatic to see us, shall we?" He wandered into the forest, a slight rustling heard as he wandered in.

The Monodramon huffed, his inspiration snuffed. He had hoped maybe the older teen would have thought it odd he had such an obviously human name and known what was wrong. Perhaps his assumption had been off the mark. No matter, the work would be done faster this way. The more numbers they had, the better. The snarky personality didn't help either, but he'd see it as an excuse to have some fun himself for the time being.
"Yes, but I suppose it will be no matter should they arrive, hm?" Iachi scoffed to himself and pushed further into the mass of foliage and canopy-shaded ground. "By the by, you neglected to share your name. It's only proper." He raised a brow and looked back at the blonde jokingly, "If I didn't know any better, I'd say I kept more of my human side after the trip here. How long have you been in this... Digital World anyway?"

What was the little dragon mumbling about? Jeremiah couldn't quite hear over the rustling of trees as they moved through the forest. No matter, if it was of importance, he was sure he would have spoken up. The next part however, he was glad he did not miss. It was, indeed, quite the oversight, one that he instantly berated himself for making. He shouldn't get into that habit, lest he accidentally alienate residents of this new world.
"You are quite right, Iachi. My sincerest apologies, I beg your forgiveness. You may call me Jeremiah." He glanced down, a small look of consternation on his face. When you met someone, you shook their hand. However, he was a lot shorter than Jeremiah. Was it considered rude to squat down to shake his hand, do they see that as demeaning? He wasn't sure. Better to play it safe. "A pleasure to make your acquaintance."
His eyes were scanning through the foliage, though he had yet to see any suspicious movement. He pressed a button on his Loader, and a pair of what seemed to be shadows appeared, and quickly disappeared into the foliage. "Your human side? Oh, I see, that explains the name. I've been here for about three weeks, give or take. Yourself?"

"One or two days? I'm not exactly sure how long I was out for." Iachi's eyes snapped to attention as he noticed the shadows moving behind the trees and bushes. Whoever it was they were after had definitely expected someone to stumble into their territory. They were trying to find an appropriate vantage point to strike from, it seemed.
The two boys would just have to be ready for when it happened.
"I kind of just woke up like this, been letting my new instincts guide me for the most part... among other things." He wasn't exactly about to say anything about the nagging voice in his head that appeared at times. Appearing like a schizophrenic to others was definitely not on his bucket list, nor would it be any time soon. He'd keep that to himself for now.
"So, are you able to turn into one of these Digimon too? Don't want you holding me back." He smirked and planted his feet firmly, pupils slitting as a newfound nature took hold of him. The Monodramon could sense the sinister intent building within this forest and it enraged him. If he still had hair, it would be on its ends; adrenaline coursed through him in waves.
They would have to fight soon. And he would have to relish it.

He saw the subtle shifts in his body, his eyes focusing on what flitted through the trees. "Those two are mine, though I'm sure the real threat will come soon." A bit jumpy, but good senses. His opinion of the digi- er, Spirit User, raised, slightly. The forest was already dark, and though he had only been around for possibly a few days, those were good instincts.
"No. I do not fight, I lead others. A General. Though, my army may be a bit smaller than you would hope." A wry chuckle, a small grin. He may not have the army that he needed yet, but that would change eventually. Though inexperienced, depending on how the little dragon acted in battle, Jeremiah may have found himself a new recruit.
There was a small beep in his pocket, and he pulled out is Xros loader. "Prepare yourself, it seems it was not just mine out there after all."

For most, the recent work on developing the homely village of Rosewood was a monument to peace and progress, not to mention an oppurtunity for hardworking Digimon to find a new home amid the wilderness of the Eastern Timberlands. It was an exciting prospect for many individuals, opening up countless new job oppurtunities... but for two particular Mushmon, it was a blight onto their peaceful woodlands that had to be stopped.
The two plant Digimon had taken notice of the human and Monodramon's presence relatively quickly, hopping from treetop to treetop in pursuit of the pair, revealing themselves as soon as they caught eyesight of the would-be defenders of the work-in-progress village. "Rosewood funfair! Rosewood funfair!" one of the two mushroom Digimon angrily yelled, tossing a tiny red mushroom with small legs and a smarmy grin onto the ground somewhat nearby Iachi, the inconspicious creature chortling to itself as it briefly hopped around in place.
"It's Rosewood unfair you tiny brain fungus!" the second Mushmon scolded their sibling, briefly shaking their fist angrily at their comrade before turning their attention back down at Jeremiah and Iachi. "Ehhh whatevah, YOU! You two slimemolds! How about you just beat it and tell those Rosewood weirdoes to scram, else we'll fumigate ya punks! This forest is our turf, and you best beat it!" the Rookie threatened as they pointed a finger at the pair down below.
The two Mushmon were fairly confident in their abilities, even if a bit naive...
Two Mushmon have appeared, one tossing down a Mush-Bomber by Iachi (albeit not directly onto)!
Sporeday (Passive): When Mushmon is attacked by a Digimon of the same species, it regains a small amount of health.
Mush-Bomber: Mushmon throws a small red mushroom that will latch onto its target with sharp teeth for two turns. At the beginning of the third turn, the mushroom will explode into a cloud of spores, dealing damage equal to the amount of poison damage taken over the two turn period. 2 turn cooldown.
Cooldowns:
Mushmon 1/ Mush-Bomber: Waiting

A set of clawed talons tapped rhythmically at the wooden bench, producing a rhythmic, yet somewhat annoying sound. The avian Digimon stood up eventually, a series of cluttering noises. It had been a solid an hour before anyone approached his crudely made stand despite the sign that read "Miracle cures done dirt cheap". His basket of apples next to a series of poison vials went unnoticed for too long. It was time for action.
The Digimon pulled out the sign, inspecting it briefly. Everything was fine, no spelling mistakes, no chipped wood. Perhaps it was time for free samples, or maybe a demonstration of sorts. He'd take a few steps forward, scanning the surrounding area as he made his way through the woods, the cluttering of vials betraying his every step. It wasn't until he edged out from a bush that he took notice of the two Mushmon seemingly about to engage in combat with a pair of humans along with 2 Sealsdramon.
His eyes lit up for a split second as he dashed forward at an almost unnatural speed for his body type, positioning himself at a somewhat equal distance between both parties. He would drive the sign into the ground again, a feathered hand resting on top as he'd hold out his staff towards the distance.
"So, who's interested in some combat aid? For cheap of course. I see you're in a bind, it would be unfair for me increment prices right now."

"It seems I was too quick to judge, you-"
He stopped and a light breeze blew past the two. Something was wrong here. Yes, he still saw the two shadows from before and was able to follow them, but there was more to the air... He smelled at least three others, and soon enough the lot of them had entered the scene.
Iachi's eyes darted to each new face as they arrived. Who the real trouble was, that was something he was sure of. However, he didn't quite know how to react to the crow-like Digimon that had appeared. A profiteer? Sidestepping and positioning himself away from the small red mushroom that had been thrown his way, the Monodramon growled.
"This forest doesn't belong to you, cowards! Get down here and fight!" Making a kicking motion, a small tornado materialized from his clawed foot, aimed for the first of the two Mushmon above them, "Gale Sweep!"

This was getting... strange. These two mushroom headed idiots were the ones that had been seemingly causing the trouble. That explains that at least, and the fact one of them attacked the little dragon. Which was quite rude, really. They were screaming something about Rosewood, and Funfairs? Maybe they were unhappy with what was being built. A shame, they should have communicated better.
He eyed the two, held up two fingers on one hand, and twisted his hand, making a slicing motion with his fingers. His two Sealsdramon, in the trees, used their invisibility at the exact same time. Silently leaping through the forest, one of them would prepare to attack the Mushmon that had thrown the little mushroom at Iachi, while the other scurried up the tree, and target the other brother.
Jeremiah, meanwhile, decided to check on their other... new visitor. Though he had a worrying facade, he had been trying not to judge these digimon by their appearances. It would be helpful to at least have him on the side that wasn't his enemies right now. "You are a mercenary then? What payment do you take, I may be interested in your services."
Alpha and Zeta are stealthed for two turns, dealing 1.5 damage next attack.

Intimidation tactics had been somewhat successful towards scaring off like the workers of Rosewood, but the surprised looks on both Mushmons' faces as Iachi kicked a powerful gust of wind towards them showed that neither had been expecting an actual fight. The pre-emptive strike did wonders too, knocking the Mushmon that had earlier thrown the mushroom painfully off the branches of the tree they were on, he landing on the ground with a tough thud. "Yo! That's my bro you just whacked!" The second Mushmon angrily yelled, motioning another of the red mushroom bombs into his hand. "Bombs away! Mush-Bomber!" they proceeded to yell, hurling their weapon at the Monodramon... further complicating that the prior thrown Mush-Bomber was attempting to hop closer to the purple dragon.
The Mushmon that had been knocked down was struggling to try and pick himself back up, letting an annoyed growl as he shot a dirty look at his attacker. Looked like someone was begging for a knuckle-sandwich or something! "Man, that really hurt! How about I add some blue to all that purple you got there punk!" they yelled, hopping back onto their feet as they began to rush headlong at Iachi, not seemingly bothered by the live bombs nearby set up by himself and his brother. "Eat this! Toadstool!"
Of course, neither Mushmon seemed to have noticed the Sealsdramon twins closing in on them... Can you blame them though? Thats some serious tech the cyborg dragon Digimon were packing!
Mushmon Number One was hit by Iachi's Gale Sweep, knocked to the ground from the tree. Mushmon Number Two has thrown yet another Mush-Bomber at Iachi, the prior Mush-Bomber attempting to try and hop onto and gnaw at Iachi (next turn exploding). Mushmon Number One is attacking Iachi with Toadstool.
Toadstool: For two turns, getting punched by this Mushmon poisons the target, dealing small amounts of damage over two posts. CD 3 posts
Cooldowns:
Mushmon 1/ Mush-Bomber: Waiting Toadstool: Waiting
Mushmon 2/ Mush-Bomber: Waiting

The Doctor shrugged, completely ignoring the fighting happening right in front of him as he'd place both talons atop the sign, leaning forward. One of the humans took notice of him. "Ah, Panteleimon the all giving, does not concern himself with upfront payment. See, you accepting my aid is part of the payment.". Explained the avian, pulling out an apple from his robe, seemingly out of nowhere. He'd inspect it for a moment. By all purposes that apple was the textbook definition of what an apple should look like, bright red, perfectly round and almost glistering as the sun hit it.
"Your friend over there? He's not looking too healthy."Panteleimon would note, gently tossing the apple upwards and re-grabbing it a number of times, the motion causing an awful lot of noise of glassware swinging at each other from within his robes. "Being attacked by Mushrooms? Merely the deception of a rotting mind. As is defending yourself, really." At this point any rational bystander would commonly distance themselves from the Digimon, yet Panteleimon would carry on unhindered.
"However... In order for winning to feel good, there must be a loser. In this particular case, there's already one. Or two in fact." The Digimon pointed his staff at Iachi, waiting to see if either of those attacks would connect, readying an ability that would extract any valuable poison.

Iachi took the full force of the punch head on, grabbing his foe by the shoulders and grinning madly. Flipping him upward, the Sprite could already feel the poisonous effects of the attack taking hold. It was almost as if he could feel it in his blood. His human mind couldn't stand the feeling, but with the adrenaline pumping through his body he couldn't let go of two most basic urges.
"Fight... Survive!"
The voice was louder now; commanding. The boy had never heard it this clearly before, it was almost as if the thoughts were his own. It was unnerving, yet he felt so much more connected to this body in a way he couldn't quite explain.
"Another one! Gale Sweep!" With a sweep of his leg, another tornado flew forth and knocked away the red mushroom-like creatures that had continued to creep toward him. Definitely wasn't anything safe to have around.
"The stage is yours, Jeremiah... Finish him."

As the battle raged around him, Jeremiah stood in what seemed to be an area of tranquillity. Panteleimon the All-Giving? This was... an interesting digimon. He had never come across one such as this. Though it seemed like he wouldn't need payment. Suspicious, to say the least, but if that's the case, Jeremiah felt like he really had no reason not to accept the assistance.
His eyes followed the apple as it rose into the air, seemingly floating for the briefest of moments as it hit the apex of the toss. It glistened in the air, an apple far too perfect. As the apple landed in the crows hand, and the glass in his coat clinked together, it brought Jeremiah back to what he was saying. Something about defending yourself?
"Luckily there are already three on my side, so the maths doesn't work out for us to lose." One of the invisible Sealsdramon leapt from the tree aiming to finish drop punch the downed mushroom. The second one, having succesfully snuck behind the other Mushmon brother, would grab the Mushmon, dropping out of the tree, and sky high elbow dropping it facedown into the dirt.
"The stage is always mine, these foolish mushrooms just wandered onto it mistakenly."
