The trailmon was supposed to arrive an hour ago. At least its tardiness was consistent, although that brought little to no comfort for the patrons waiting at the station. Some found escape in various distractions, and it was through offering such an outlet that Pandora graced the terminal with her presence this morning. On the prowl for allies and acquaintances alike she offered free tarot readings to anyone interested in her game. The readings themselves were esoteric of course, but it helped to point out those who might be worth catching up with later. No effort was made to hide her arcane practice. The tinkermon floated a good five feet in the air near the edge of the waiting area. She was clearly fishing for attention, but with little other stimulus around it was working fairly well for her. "Come take a peek at your digital destiny!" she shouted in a friendly tone. She stood on her deck of tarot cards using her magic to levitate it. In her hands she twirled her spear in front of herself before suddenly catching it and pointing its barbed tip at a random stranger with a playful smile. "What fortunes awaits you in Terminus City today?! Wealth? Opportunity? Romance?" As she listed a few keywords off several cards slid out from the deck beneath her to float up beside the tinkermon, revealing their relating pictures. "You never know, but you never have to step aboard that trailmon unprepared, either!"Pandora pointed at another stranger with her spear next. "Wouldn't you want to know if you bought a one-way ticket to disaster? I'm not asking for any bits, friend! Only your time, something we all seem to be flush with right now!" The tinkermon hopped back off of her deck as the free floating cards slipped back into the mass. Letting her spear float beside her Pandora's hands went through the motion of shuffling an imaginary deck, but as she did so her deck of tarot cards shuffled itself in the air. "If anything," offered the small digimon with a teasing grin to any onlookers, "..the one thing I'll leave you with is hope, and you can't really put a price on that, can you?"
((This is one of several tarot reading threads I'll be hosting with Pandora. If you would like one feel free to let me know and we can set something up! She's looking to expand on her list of contacts at the moment.))

It was rare that the Trailmon suffered a delay, but when it inevitably occurred, it hit hard. For some this meant they'd need to explain why they were an hour late places after they got the apology (assuming these worked like Japan's trains, which...Naoko didn't know if they did or not.) For others, like Naoko Toriya and Titania, it just meant they had an hour of free time to murder with prejudice.
Fortunately, it seemed like that was going to be easier than anticipated, as someone seemed to be peddling something--tarot readings. A digital destiny? Interesting! Naoko set out towards the source of the very friendly advertising and...found it was a Tinkermon armed with a deck of tarot cards. Titania, who was riding in her hoodie like usual, actually peered on curiously. Another Tinkermon. And before Naoko could pipe up herself?
"We're interested!" Titania stated. Very, very loudly.
What a way to start things off.

"That's the spirit!" called out Pandora as someone in the crowd volunteered, "come right on up and-?! Oh hi there!"
Seeing the other tinkermon put a wide smile on her face. If one thing, Pandora was very vain. So seeing a digimon of the same species stepping up to play her game naturally added to her buoyant showmanship. Holding a mostly neutral perspective on humans Pandora didn't shy away from the pair. In fact, she waved them forward.
"Nice to meet you two! I'm Pandora! Would you both like to play? It's always better with a friend, but you'll have to play one at a time!" Taking her spear and using it like a pointing stick the fairy swept it from one side to the other in a smooth arc. The floating tarot deck mimicked the motion, fanning itself out in the air with every card evenly spaced apart for easy selection. Pandora floated above the cards and then gestured down to them with her spear, grinning.
"I can't promise the cards will answer all your questions. It might even give you a few more than what you started with! That's part of the fun with tempting fate though, ain't it? Who wants to go first and draw six cards?"

Naoko stepped forward from the crowd, feeling..more than a little on the spot but at the same time this sort of thing did sort of...well, it at least interested her. So, both tamer and Digimon were very much in agreement. Plus.
Unlike the last time Titania got her into something? The fairy hadn't gone off to do whatever else. So this was a chance to get some amount of....Not vengeance, that's too strong a word. But if she was gonna do this? "Yeah, we'll both play." Titania, who had been beaming and waving at her fellow Tinkermon, quickly snapped her gaze towards Naoko before nodding. "Yep!"
She seemed to go along with it well. Anyways. Who went first? Naoko stepped forward as Titania hopped off of her partner and floated in the air, the human picked out and drew six cards. "Any order, right?" She was never sure about these sorts of things...
Anyways. Once Naoko had finished drawing her cards she held them out for Pandora. Was it bad to look at them before the teller got them...? The inexperience was obvious. Titania meanwhile continued to float about. "So, what's your name, sis?"

"Any order, any card~" chimed in Pandora when asked for instructions. When the girl's pick was held out for Pandora the tinkermon smiled graciously and bowed with an exaggerated flourish of her hand. She didn't want her volunteer to feel awkward, so she went along with her inexperience and tried to fit it into the flow of things. The cards floated face down towards Pandora to form their own thin deck.
"My name's Pandora!" she piped up as she straightened her posture. "You're a lucky one, fam! Finding our own petermon is hard enough! Finding a good traveling buddy with stylish tastes, though? You're doing well for yourself!" Her aural emphasis was further pointed out as Pandora moved her hands up to her head, mimicking the bunny ears of Naoko's hoodie with a grin to the human. "Cute look, that!" After putting her hands down she floated a little closer to the pair.
"Ah! Look at me, getting ahead of myself! What are your names, friends? Who do I have to thank for playing with me today?"

Naoko nodded at the Tinkermon. It was apparent that the magician--Pandora, and the duo were going to get along well. Curious name, but...she seems nice. Titania gave a grin and stood as straight as she could in the air. "Well, I never thought of it that way. But...you do have a point, lotta Tinkermon don't seem to have their Petermon with them. Which is a darn shame. Thank you for the kind words, Pandora. My name's Titania, it's great to meet you!" Naoko meanwhile gave a little smile at the complimenting of her favorite hoodie. It always seemed to brighten the girl's day up a little to hear stuff like that. "Thank you. Uh...My name's Naoko. Naoko Toriya if you wanna be formal with last names and stuff...I'm gonna be really honest and say that Titania didn't find me at all but she just crashed into me while I was talking to a friend of my sister's."
"...It was definitely on purpose, though."

The significance of Titania's name wasn't lost on Pandora. Her brows raised up, impressed by what she heard. Hey eyes then eagerly turned to the human as she introduced herself. Naoko seemed like a soft spoken, but nice person. The story of how the pair met each other drew forth a cheerful giggle from Pandora.
"The Queen does work in mysterious ways," offered Pandora in support of her fellow tinkermon. She was quick to not leave out Naoko's own merits, though. "So clearly there must be something very special about you, Lady Toriya! Maybe we'll catch a hint of that something from the cards you drew?"
The cards that had been left fanned out and unpicked shuffled back into one deck which Pandora used as a platform to stand on. The cards Naoko had picked moved in front of Pandora, remaining as their own separate deck as the tinkermon's spear floated back to her grasp.
"Let's see what the first card is! This pick represents what you think and feel about yourself. And you picked-?!" Pandora tapped Naoko's deck lightly with her spear, and the first card floated up above and behind her to reveal itself. The picture depicted a holy looking digimon seated on a throne between two pillars. Atop its head was a fancy golden crown with three layers or tiers to its height. At the digimon's feet a key sat on the floor.
"The hierophant! A card known for tradition and tutelage! In this instance, it might symbolize a personal desire for some kind of outside direction? Advice from a moral, or even a pragmatic standpoint? Or, it could represent the ambition of wanting to be such a person for other people?"
Turning back to Naoko, Pandora tried to study the human's reactions beneath that long-eared hoodie. She still wore a friendly smile, though.
"On the idea of tradition, perhaps there's been something new in your life recently? A method or path that seems unconventional to you? If you're feeling overwhelmed or unsure, it might not be a bad idea to default to any established practices?"

"Yeah, see? She gets how I work!" Little did anybody know that Titania just wings it half the time and the other half of the time is when she does things more than intentionally. Naoko grew a little flustered. "L-Lady, huh? Well...Maybe we will." She took a breath before exhaling.
First card equated to the image of the self. Naoko felt like she could guess what it was but she...really couldn't with how little she knew of tarot card readings. The card she picked was the Hierophant. "...I mean...I did only become a tamer only recently." She admitted. That was kind of...apt. Recently. She had zero clue what she was doing half of the time even if Titania insisted that it was the 'right' way to do things. "Mmm..." She looked more than a little thoughtful, if not a little surprised at how on point the card had been. Titania folded her arms and just watched.

The contemplative expression on Naoko's face pulled Pandora's patient smile a little wider. The deck was not under her manipulation or influence, so it was always fun to see what people chose for themselves, and what they chose to make of her readings.
"Only recently you say? And yet you look so comfortable in our world, Lady Toriya," said Pandora encouragingly. "Your second pick will give a little insight into what your greatest desire might be at the moment." Again Pandora would tap the top card of Naoko's deck with her spear. The card would then float up next to the first, portraying an old-looking digimon holding a staff in one hand, and a lantern in the other.
"The Hermit?" The fairy blinked up at the card for a moment before casting an earnestly inquisitive look towards Naoko, as if trying to discern a hidden meaning in the human's current expression. "Don't be disappointed by the card's name. In fact, the isolation that the Hermit represents isn't what you want itself, but rather a solution to that loneliness? It isn't fame or fortune that you truly desire, but emotional and social wealth? Lady Toriya is an admirable person."
Glancing towards Titania, Pandora's smile returned.
"Fortunately, she's not alone, is she? No one is ever ready to be a tamer, but with Her Majesty's companionship I believe Lady Toriya will become an exceptional tamer!"
Again she would look back to Naoko, holding up an index finger with a mischievous wink.
"Alternatively," she began "It could also mean that while you might already have close friends at hand, you might also be searching for something with a deeper connection? Someone to lean against emotionally. Perhaps someone to love?"

Comfortable? It was true that Naoko had the company of many to help her get used to the Digital World. It...was odd. Meeting so many others that shared a similar fate or destiny to her. The contemplative expression remained on her face as she waited for Pandora to continue her reading. Next up was desire.
Sure, the Hermit sounded -really- strange as a second card--Heck, Naoko immediately jumped to the conclusion that the desire was just to be left alone UNTIL Pandora actually explained what the card meant. A solution to...loneliness.
Again.
Tarot readings could be scarily accurate sometimes.
"No, I don't think I'm actually alone nowadays..." Naoko responded, putting a finger to her chin. "I mean...I've made way more friends thanks to this world now...Friends that I feel like I can actually rely on, too." Titania just grinned in the back and folded her arms behind her head. "Leave it to the Queen, sister!" She snickered! Naoko meanwhile tilted her head at the other meaning of the Hermit...Before a -huge- blush just crept across her face!
"W-W-Wait seriously? T-That's nuts, uh...I...I don't think I need that...D-Do I?" Well, to put it simply she was stuttering a bunch and couldn't even make sentences right! At least that's how she felt. Titania very unsubtly stated, "...Pandora, uh...you maay have broke her."

Naoko's initial assessment of Pandora's second reading put a smile on the fairy's face. She liked it when her cards behaved themselves, it kept everyone happy. For the most part, anyways. When the human overreacted to the notion of finding a lover, however? Pandora couldn't help but try to stifle a giggle with a hand covering her mouth.
"Sorry if that was embarrassing, but that's not really anything to be ashamed of for wanting, is it?" offered the tinkermon in a reassuring tone. "You may not need that in the here and now, but to desire it is perfectly normal. We should all be so fortunate to find love eventually."
To try and help put Naoko at ease Pandora tapped on the next face down card with her spear. As she did so a realization hit her as she watched the card flip over and join the other revealed cards.
"The next card will tell us what you fear. The World card."
Pandora squinted up at the card, wondering about its relation to Naoko. Depicted on its surface was a woman floating in the sky, with a short staff in each of her hands. Surrounding her was a wreath, where several beast-like digimon watched from.
"You are afraid," began the fairy softly before turning back to Naoko with a sympathetic expression, "..not of the dangers that you will encounter, but of yourself? Uncertainty weighs heavily upon your shoulders, as does self doubt? The threat of making the wrong decisions has you paralyzed."
Pandora would shake her head with a sigh before encouraging the tamer with a smile.
"You're in a new world with new experiences all around you. It's natural to have such feelings if that really is the case. I know I would be terrified if I were to be thrown into your world with no lifeline of any sorts. Be aggressive with your success, and avoid stagnation. Inaction is often worse than the wrong action, and you do have Her Highness and your friends to lean on."

After Naoko had calmed down from the very...uh. PERSONAL sort of question, she just let out a whine and refocused on Pandora. "Er...No, I don't think so....I do think you're right to some amount, though." The other Tinkermon's words did do their part to reassure her. Something that elicited a sigh of relief from Titania. Oh, good, her tamer wasn't kaput. Nice!
The next card was something that both tamer and digimon found themselves paying more attention to than most. Fears were important. Fears were something to keep careful note of, honestly. What that fear was symbolized in was revealed to be the World.
So what did that mean? As Pandora explained that the World in this part of the reading symbolized a fear of oneself, Titania peered towards her tamer. Sure, Naoko was pretty reserved, but did she really fear herself as the card said? "Mmmm..." The fairy mused. Naoko wasn't saying much in response to the World... "She's right. She has a good point. If you ever need any help, just...ask me, you know?"
Naoko's response was a silent nod.

Naoko's muted response was enough to confirm the World card's presence. Even Titania seemed a little concerned given her comment. Not wanting to linger on the awkward topic any longer Pandora nodded as well before moving on. She tapped on the next card and it floated up to line up next to the other revealed cards.
"Your next card will tell us what might be working in your favor. The Tower card. A herald of sudden change."
The card in question depicted a tall structure being struck by lighting and cracking. Fire could be seen in several windows. The fortuneteller didn't seem at all bothered by the image, though.
"Sometimes in life, abrupt change is inevitable. It's not always a bad thing, however; you do have someone new in your life that you can count on?" Pandora gestured to her fellow tinkermon with a warm smile to emphasize her point
"The path of a tamer was probably an unexpected one, but once the dust settles from this transition the next steps towards progress should reveal themselves. One of those very steps might have been Her Highness finding you, even. It makes me wonder what your next steps could be, and what other successes await you two."

"...Sorry about that." Titania nodded, before both she and Naoko looked to the next card. The Tower card seemed a bit less...foreboding in nature alone, something that elicited a sigh of relief from the human. "There's been a lot of sudden changes in my life recently...So, the card's got a point..."
Wow, did that card look freaky, though. Titania tilted her head at the imagery. "Well, I will admit...This girl had very little in the way of friends or allies when I met her. I don't think she expected any of what happened from then on." The fairy confessed, leaning forward in the air.
"So what you're saying is that the steps forward were manyfold, Pandora? Or is it just one big leap? Um....I'm sorry for my silence, by the way..." Naoko piped up suddenly.

At Titania's comments Pandora could only shrug with a knowing smile.
"It really is the surprises that we don't anticipate that leave the biggest impact on us, isn't it? Fate and destiny have a funny way of going about that, rewarding the trust it takes to venture forth through the unknown."
She looked to Naoko next as the girl found her voice. Still keeping her smile Pandora waved a hand dismissively at the human's apology.
"You don't need to apologize, Lady Toriya! Sometimes the cards tell us things we don't want to hear. I'm still happy that you decided to play all the same, and I hope that I can at least put some of your worries to rest! As for your question, it might have been a little bit of both? As you said yourself, there has been a lot of changes in your life lately. There could have been many leaps of faith instead of many small steps or one big jump. Fate doesn't like to be measured, but that's only my interpretation of things."
The fairy moved on tapping the next card. The card then floated up to reveal a woman wearing a blue gown and a horned crown with a globe in the middle, seated with her hands in her lap. A lunar crescent was also in the picture.
"Your fifth card will tell us what might be working against you right now, and you drew the High Priestess! It signifies the need to take a step back from things and reflect, especially when insecurities try to take over. She represents both knowledge and mystery, and her presence helps to introduce clarity into one's perspective. Trust your instincts, and don't be afraid to trust yourself. This is a good omen when looking back to the World card you drew earlier."
