Kevin took his usual position at the base of his favorite tree. He needed a place to cool down and clear his thoughts. He had just stormed out of his house after yet another fight with his parents. "Why don't they understand they're wrong?" Kevin thought to himself. "Sometimes I wish I could just escape, just leave it all behind" The sun was setting as it twinkled in Kevin's eyes.
He started getting up to leave when something caught his eye. It was an old fashioned pocket watch. The engravings on it were beautiful. There was something familiar about it, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Kevin stuffed the watch into his pocket and started walking home.

Saturday. My favorite, no school, no parents, no rules. Just me, my thoughts and.... Kevin put his hands in his pockets and felt something metal against his hand. The pocket watch, he had completely forgotten about it.
Kevin made it hits mission to find out more about it. The question was where would he start? He examined the watch for some clues, there wasn't much there, but the engravings. Maybe someone at a museum would know.
He thought about what if this was just a waste of time, nothing special. Even so he liked this feeling of mystery and adventure, it's not like he had anything better to do. Time to head to the museum!

After a rather crazy time at the mall, Tasha made it over to Miyashita Park. Actually, it was more by accident. She was supposed to be going over to a museum to do research for her weekend homework. She grunted to herself a bit. Now she was regretting not taking her dad seriously about learning Japanese. She sighed a bit, thinking that at least she was in a nice park. From inside of her purse, her Tanemon, Pedra, could smell the fresh flowers scattered around the park. She poked her head out of the purse a bit, gazing at the entire natural flora of the park.
“Wow! This place is great, Tasha. Why didn’t we come here sooner? Look at all of the pretty flowers.”
Tasha noticed Pedra and quickly pushed her back in the purse. “Hey! I told you not be peeking from there. I don’t want anyone to see you.”
Pedra tried pushing up from Tasha’s hand. “Aw come on. I hate being in that purse. There’s so much sunshine and flowers over there. I wanna run around just a little.”
Tasha growled a bit. If she didn’t do something, her digimon would never shut up. After thinking for a bit, she smiled over at her.
“Okay okay. If you can be quiet and let me finish just one more errand, then I let you play in the park all you want,” said the young girl.
Pedra stopped struggling and gazed up at Tasha. “Reeally? You promise?”
“Yes yes. Will you just shut up and stay in the purse?”
Pedra giggled and ducked down into the purse. “Yay. Okay. I’ll just enjoy finding something to eat in here.”
Tasha glared and shook her purse. “You better not think about it, you little nasty.”
Tasha sighed with relief. She finally took care of one problem. Now she just has to find that museum to finish her homework. Of course, almost of the signs are in Japanese, making it much more difficult to find it. Her only choice (besides walking around randomly in Shibuya and sweating a lot) is to find someone in this park and ask for direction. After taking a look around, she didn’t really see anyone. Then she noticed a boy with blonde hair. It looks like he was about the same age as her. Best of all, it looks like he’s American. Finally, she doesn’t need to use her translation book to talk to someone for once. She couldn’t help smiling and giggling.
She approached the boy, smiling over to him. “Excuse me? Think you can help me find the museum around here? Uh…You can speak English, right?” she asked him.

Just when Kevin was about to head for the museum, he thought he heard someone. There was a girl walking towards him. She looked like she was about his age. Kevin was a bit startled when she spoke English and asked him where she could find the museum.
"Yes I do speak English, it's funny you should ask I was just about to head over there" he said cooly.
He pondered letting her tag along.
"Tell you what, I'll help you if you help me" Kevin said.
He pulled the pocket watch out of his pocket. He held it up for her to see.
"See this watch" he said. "I found it near that bench over there" he explained as he pointed to a nearby bench.
"I want to find out more about it, that's why I'm on my way to the museum" Kevin explained.
"If I take you with me to the museum, can you help me with the research?" Kevin asked.

It seems like it was finally Tasha’s lucky day. This boy was already on his way over to the museum. All she has to do is follow him over there, finish her homework, and get on with her weekend. Of course, there is that promise she made to Pedra to play in the park for as long as she wants. She figured that she could duck out and leave her there. It does sound so tempting. Then the boy was asking her for a favor. She sort of didn’t expect to have to do a favor for someone she was only asking for directions. She might as well hear him out.
He pulled out a pocket watch and asked if she can help him find out more about it. She took a closer look at the watch. It looks like one of the watches that her dad occasionally collects, but she thought it was weird that a watch like that would be in a park and wonder who it belongs to. She thought a bit about helping. Maybe as long as it doesn’t take too long, she might as well try to help him out.
Meanwhile from inside the purse, Pedra was starting to get hungry again. She looked everywhere inside this purse, but couldn’t find the crackers that Tasha said that were there. She took another look at the translation book that she took a few nibbles on earlier. She was sure that her tamer wouldn’t notice her taking a few more bites. Soon, Tasha was hearing some soft chewing sounds coming from her purse. She knew exactly what that annoying digimon was doing. To get back at her, the young girl shook the purse, rattling Pedra inside and stopping her from eating the pages of the book. She looked back at the boy again.
“Sure. I got some time to kill,” she said to him. “The name’s Natasha, but everyone calls me Tasha. By the way, why do you think you would find out more about a pocket watch in a museum anyway?”

The girl, who introduced herself as Tasha, agreed to help Kevin. Tags asked him why he thought I could find out more about it at a museum.
"I figured it might have some history to it, it looks pretty beat up and worn, maybe it was a generals!" Kevin said excitedly.
Kevin saw Tasha shake her bag a bit. What did she do that for he wondered. He let it go, he decided it was best not to ask.
"My name is Kevin" Kevin informed Tasha.
"Alright, the museum is this way" Kevin said pointing.

The young girl was relieved to finally be able to go to this museum and finish her homework. It stinks that she now has to make two promises. Why does she have to be such a nice person? Still, she thought Kevin’s favor was a little weird. Why would a kid care so much about an old pocket watch? Maybe he was crazy watch enthusiast or something. If he wanted to find out who the watch belong to, he could have just left it in the lost and found. She supposed that she can ask them about those things later. She just wanted to get her research done as soon as possible. She turned to the direction that Kevin is pointing and walked over to the museum.
“Alright then. Let’s go then, Kevin. We got no time to waste.” She told him, eager to get this over with.
Pedra growled a bit, not appreciating being shaken inside the purse like that. All she wanted to do was get something to eat. All this time, she could have sworn that she heard another voice outside. Tasha must be talking with a boy. She wanted to peek her head out of the purse and see what they were talking about, but Tasha was keeping the bag closed. It wasn’t fair. How come Pedra can’t talk with the nice boy too? She tried to squirm around the bag, hoping to get her tamer’s attention.

After Kevin pointed in the direction towards the museum, Tasha was already walking, she seemed eager to get there.
"Yeah let's" said Kevin a little surprised by Tasha's enthusiasm.
"So what did you want to go to the museum for?"

As Tasha was walking over to the direction of the museum, she heard Kevin asked why she wanted to go as well. She looked over at him.
“Oh, I’m just doing research for a homework assignment at school. Something about learning the history of Japan…at least that was as much as I can make out anyway.” She told him. At least she had a more normal reason for going than he does.
Eventually, she made it over to the museum at long last. It was a very large building with lots of people flooding inside. She was wondering if she was at the right place. She can see that part of the sign does say museum in English. She was so relieved that she finally found the place. She couldn’t believe that she missed something so obvious, but she doesn’t matter now.
As she stepped inside the museum, Tasha went over to the front desk and the receptionist gave her a pamphlet with all of the exhibits. Thankfully, it was in English, so finishing her homework wasn’t going to be so bad. Just then, her purse was shaking even more. Most likely Pedra wanted something. This kept annoying Tasha,so she would have to deal with it. She looked over at Kevin. “Hey, Kevin. I have to take care of something. Be right back.” She quickly walked away from him, hiding behind one the nearby pillars.
Tasha opened her purse, letting the Tanemon peek her head out a bit.
“WHAT do you want?” She angrily whispered to her digimon.
“I’m hungry…and I couldn’t find the crackers.” Pedra said to her.
“Just stop moving around in there, girl.” Said Tasha.
“Then feed me already. Your book is looking pretty tasty right now.” Said Pedra.
Tasha growled a bit. “…Alright alright. Fine. Just stop moving already.”
Tasha pushed Pedra back into the purse and looked at the pamphlet. She can see that there was a gift shop close by from here. They should have some snacks to keep that pest quiet. She moved away from the pillar and went over to Kevin again.
“Say, Kevin. Why don’t we stop at the gift shop first? I’m kinda hungry and could use a snack.” She asked the boy.

After Kevin asked Tasha why she wanted to go to the museum, she replied.
"Oh, I’m just doing research for a homework assignment at school. Something about learning the history of Japan…at least that was as much as I can make out anyway.”
Kevin thought that seemed very boring, but homework is homework he guessed.
They had finally made it to the museum. I guess talking makes time go by faster. The building was bigger than he had thought. The truth is he never actually went in. A boring place to add to the list of boring things he does in his boring life, no thanks.
"Well we're here, welcome to the museum of Northern Shibuya!" Kevin said somewhat excitedly. He never thought he'd be saying that. Especially with that much enthusiasm.
Kevin stepped in following Tasha. He couldn't help, but gawk at how big it was. Where do I start? Kevin thought to himself.
Kevin grabbed a pamphlet of the front desk. He opened it and started determining where to go first.
Kevin was snapped back into reality when he heard a noise like a bag shaking, then suddenly Tasha said she had to take are of something. Tasha's acting really strange Kevin thought to himself. He decided he would pay closer attention to the purse from now on. He wondered if there was something inside it. He decided that if it shook again, he would ask about it. I don't want to seem rude, especially since we just met. Still the thought made him curious.
After a few minutes, Tasha came back.
“Say, Kevin. Why don’t we stop at the gift shop first? I’m kinda hungry and could use a snack.” Tasha asked Kevin.
At first Kevin was gonna say that's a waste of time, but then he heard another noise... his stomach growling.
A bit embarrassed, he agreed.
"Yeah that's a good idea, who wants to research on an empty stomach" Kevin laughed.
I... actually... laughed? Kevin thought to himself. I haven't laughed like that in a long time.
Although no research had been done yet, Kevin already achieved his goal... to escape reality at least for a day.

Tasha couldn’t help but giggle to herself a bit. It seems that Kevin and his stomach agrees with the plan to get some snacks at the gift shop. It was nice to see Kevin laughing like that. She only just met him today, but she wouldn’t mind hanging out with him more in the future.
“I know right? Come on, boy let’s go.” She grabbed his arm and started to make her way for the gift shop.
According to the pamphlet, the gift shop wasn’t too far from the entrance to the museum. When she got there, there were plenty of souvenirs, calendars, and other merchandise that one can buy. At one corner of the shop, there were snacks and drinks, mostly stuff that can be found in a convenience store. Tasha let go of Kevin’s arm and went over to the snack area. As she was looking over her selections, she wondered what kind of food Pedra, or any digimon for that matter, would eat. She looked more like a living plant creature thing, so maybe she eats plant food? She basically gave up and grabbed two chocolate granola bars. She took them and paid for them at the counter (thankfully without any trouble).
Meanwhile, Pedra was getting bored and hungry, mostly hungry. She wondered how long this errand was going to take. She just wanted to go over to that nice, sunny park and play with the flowers there. She can feel her stomach growl a bit. When is Tasha going to give her something to eat anyway? There was no way the Tanemon was ever going to forget everything her tamer done to her. Soon, Tasha opened and put one of the chocolate granola bars in her purse, giving it to Pedra. The In-Training digimon looked at it curiously for a bit, sniffing it before she took a few bites. This tasted really good to her and she started munching on it. Tasha opened up her bar and starting eating it. She went over to Kevin as he was getting his snack.
“Hey, so Kev, what brings you to Japan?” she asked him. It wasn’t every day that she can actually talk to someone she doesn’t have to bring out a book and translate every word for.

Kevin was a bit surprised when Tasha grabbed his arm, but he didn't mind. The truth is that he liked Tasha's company.
When they got to the gift shop, there were all kinds of nick knacks and such. When they spotted the snacks, Tasha let go of his arm and walked over there.
Kevin was somewhat fascinated by all the little things in the gift shop.
After a few minutes, Tasha picked two chocolate granola bars. Kevin noticed her open one and dropped it in her purse. Curious. Just then, Tasha came over.
"You know your granola bar would last longer if you didn't put it in your purse open, it might melt all over your stuff" Kevin said curious as to her explanation.
He was smart enough to know just how to get an answer out of someone, by playing word games. Like instead of just bluntly asking what's in her purse, better to get her to slip or say something.
He picked out his chocolate bar and went over to the counter and paid.
"Hey, so Kev, what brings you to Japan?" Tasha asked Kevin. Was this a tactic of deflection? To avoid answering the question.
"I was about 10 when me and my family moved here after my mom had gotten a job offer" Kevin explained. "She is now the head doctor of the Hospital near here".
"What about you, you're obviously not native" Kevin said jokingly. "Is it customary where you come from to feed your purse?"
Kevin giggled at his joke.

Tasha leaned against the wall as she was listening to Kevin’s story about him living in Japan as she finished off the last of her chocolate granola bar. It seems like he lived here longer than she had. His mother is even a head doctor at a hospital. The young girl had to admit that it was pretty cool.
“Oh really? That’s cool, Kev. I guess I know who to talk to if I ever get sick.” She told him after he was done with his story.
She noticed that Kevin was asking questions about her purse. This made a touch nervous. How was she going to explain that she had a weird plant monster thing in her purse currently eating the other granola bar? He would think that she was a freak and wouldn’t want to hang with her anymore. Well, as long as Pedra keeps quiet and not move around so much, maybe he wouldn’t notice anything. Still, she would need to tell Kevin something, She couldn’t help but laugh a bit at him joking around with her. She had no idea he would be such a funny guy.
“Heh, well the place that come from is California. We just moved here about a week ago because of my dad’s new job. He’s some big shot at company firm or whatever.”
As Tasha told her this, she wished that she asked her dad more about his job. “Oh…and I wasn’t feeding my purse. It’s not like I have any creatures inside of it or something.” She rubbed the back of her neck, giggling nervously.
And to make matters worse, after Pedra finished her bar, she gave off a satisfying belch. This can be heard from outside the purse. Once Tasha caught wind of that sound, she thought quick and pretended to belch and hope that Kevin would believe that the belch was coming from her. “Heheh. Oh excuse me. That was one good granola bar.” She said, patting her stomach a bit.
She grabbed his arm again. “Ookay. That’s enough for a break. Let’s get on to our research, shall we.”
Suddenly, the Tanemon’s head popped out of her purse, forgetting that her tamer was talking with someone. “Hey, Tasha. That bar thingy was good. Can I have ano--” Tasha quickly pushed Pedra’s head back into the purse. She just hoped beyond hope that Kevin didn’t see or hear any of that.

After Kevin explained about his family moving to japan, Tasha shared that her family is from California, she told him they had just moved there a week ago and that her dad was a big shot at a company firm.
Did that mean she was rich? Kevin wasn't a greedy person, he was onlyy greedy with curiosity. It was a blessing and a curse.
“Oh…and I wasn’t feeding my purse. It’s not like I have any creatures inside of it or something.”
Kevin knew it! It had to be a pet, but I thought cats and dogs get sick from chocolate? He thought to himself.
All the sudden there was a belch coming from the purse. I don't know any cats or dogs that belch like that!
Tasha tried to pretend it was her, too bad for her Kevin was very observant.
Just as Kevin was about to ask, he saw what looked like a... talking plant?
Now Kevin was even more intrigued. Most people would have gotten scared and run away at that point, but Kevin wasn't most people.
"Okay... so you have a talking plant... that eats chocolate granola bars... in your purse?!" That's.... AWESOME!"
"Can I meet it?" "Does it have a name?" Is it male or female?"
Kevin wanted to know everything about the plant creature.
He was so glad he met Tasha. Just one more thing to turn an ordinary day... extraordinary!

Things really weren’t going so well with Tasha, at least that was what she thought. Pedra had been causing so much mischief, she was sure that Kevin would have noticed something. If she can manage to get through this, she swears that she was going to kill that little pest. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do to her, but she was going make sure that it was painful. She then looked back at Kevin and saw that incredibly shocked look on his face as he stared into her purse. Could he have saw Pedra peeking out of the purse? Things couldn’t have possible get any worse.
What happened next surprised Tasha even more. Kevin seems to be excited about Pedra, asking her all sorts of questions at once. Pedra heard all of that and popped her head out of the purse a bit more so that she visible to him. Maybe she can finally get out of that stuffy bag. She looked over at Kevin curiously. It was a bit strange to see another human besides Tasha up close. She thought that he looks really nice and smiled over at him widely. Then she looked over at Tasha.
“Heh. See, Tasha. I knew someone would think that I’m awesome.” Pedra said happily and proudly.
All of this was still a bit overwhelming to Tasha. She was glad that Kevin was more accepting of Pedra, although she wasn’t sure why. She always thought he was a strange kid. She wasn’t sure how she should feel about this. She hoped that he wasn’t going to go around and start telling people about her digimon. She was already feeling out of place in this country. If word got out that she has a strange plant creature, she would be even more of an outcast. She gave off a deep sigh and pushed Pedra deep into her purse so that no one else would see her.
“Look, Kevin. Maybe we can talk about this more outside? I kinda don’t want anyone else to see Pedra.” She told him, pointing over to the Tanemon in her purse.
