"How sad... hm?"
Oh, couldn't have that conversation gone on a little longer? Rough as he was, Viktor was being quite the help in this little stint into human social studies. Well, it couldn't be helped if the tamer was interfering with Siris' check-up. And, as Genesis let out her outburst, Mikemon's eye gave a twitch:
"And you've got it completely wrong! Siris' ears and fang structure come from a descendant of the cold north, whereas Viktor's are clearly from holy descent! Shape aside, Siris is also long-furred!" There was, yes, quite a few differences between them... and even as Genesis pulled Viktor's sleeve away, Mikemon could only bring his palm up to his face, in frustration.
So they were going to bring that up? What did that even prove? Seeing Siris look over in his direction, the cat relented. "Go ahead, ask what you want to ask. But he's a Kajunemon - and his memories have recently switched around with his partner's. I doubt he'll be able to answer much."

Viktor wasn't aware there were... shapes of Renamon. When he was human, they all looked the same. He had to agree with Mikemon, sure Viktor's eyes and face shape were similar to that of the younger fox, but anyone with black hair and blue eyes was often mistaken for Viktor's relative when he was human. He pulled Genesis aside to let Mikemon continue his checkup, Viktor had places to be aferall- Hmm?
With a sigh and a nod, Viktor looked to the younger fox, "He's right, kid. My memories of anything as Kajunemon are shoddy at best. History and such, I recall somethings but it's like a fever dream more than anything."
Siris didn't mind, he just wanted to see a Kajunemon in person, so the obvious follow up question was asked; "Can you... become him? I don't mean to pry or push!" Siris held his hands out, watching with anticipation. Viktor only shook his head and pulled Genesis further back, getting to the door;
"Can't. Even if I could right now, it takes up too much power and energy."
Siris nodded and leaned forward, trying to think of something... anything to keep a Kajunemon here so he could ask more questions. But what? Come on Siris, think! Dad said he swapped with his partner... wait!
"Dad? Shouldn't you do a checkup on him? He did switch with his partner right? Got to make sure everything is in place!"
Yes, that's perfect!
Viktor held up his paws in protest, "That's no necessary, I understand this fully!" he began to turn and Genesis, who was now leaving too shoved Viktor, agreeing with Siris.
"I agreed to go to the human doctor. This is your payment. Mikemon? We'll pay normal fees for it."

"Siris, c'mon, don't badger the 'mon!"
That was just like her brother! Chuckling from a distance, Syre gave a few steps closer. The 'show' that was happening here was a fair bit more interesting than her Social Studies project - and Mikemon was far too distracted to tell her daughter off right now.
"Siris, they're here because their data is switched around. It'll be a while before he's even able to get up to champion, much less something as grand as Super Mega - and even if I were to analyze their data, Kajunemon's consciousness is something that's locked to their biomerged form."
Everything he said was true. However. Siris did say something right. Even as Viktor protested, as Siris spoke of a check-up, Mikemon gave it a small bit of consideration... and nodded. "On the house. Just take a seat - five minutes, I'll get everything sorted, and you can take your chart and be on your way. And by that, I mean 'after I do this, take your human and leave."

With a somewhat defeated sigh, Siris accepted his father's statement. He didn't understand how data got swapped around, but it wasn't his place to question it, more so if his father of all people understood it. Even still, being around someone who could take the form he read so much about was cool! He wanted to understand more about it! But, laid off at his sister's chiding, only turning back and sitting next to her, whispering a bit;
"These two are weird. They swapped their data around? What does that even mean?" the fox wondered, scratching his chin!
Genesis gave a smile to Viktor then gestured for him to go have a seat, who still protested until Genesis brought up how she'd go get a checkup. Then sighed and did as suggested, taking a seat where Siris was and crossing his arms,
"Trust me, I wish I could just make her leave. But because she's the tamer now, she thinks she has control."
Genesis chuckled, exiting the room and waiting outside, "Oh, I do, foxy-boy~"
Viktor sighed, then looked over at Mikemon, "Alright, let's just get this over with, then." he sighed, looking over to the young fox and narrowing his cold eyes. Siris flinched a little,
"I-I think he's mad at me."

"Trust me, I don't want this to take any longer than it needs."
At the very least, Viktor and Dr. Mikemon were in agreement on that much - and, as Viktor had probably gone through at least more than a few times as a human, the feline would go through the steps. Reflexes. Pulse. Breathing tests for his lungs, a careful light shined in to inspect each eye and ear. Box after box was checked, everything 'more or less' normal ("You had a smoker's lung before all this - but it actually looks like that's cleaned up. Not gonna say 'stay off it', but something to consider.")
It would eventually, of course, come down to the part that Genesis was actually waiting for, Mikemon tiredly rubbing the back of his eye as he would move onto the last step - scanning Viktor's data. At Siris' comment, the cat gave a shrug: "I'm going to be honest, Siris. Most people only go through life knowing about ten people they share everything with. But even if someone's not your 'friend', it doesn't mean they 'hate' you. Just give 'em space, alright?"
That little life lesson aside, Mikemon's eyes focused, piercing intently into the freshly-created Renamon's core. He had, of course, swapped with Genesis by some stroke of fate, so he didn't exactly feel the same as the Kajunemon on the island. "... As should be expected, your core's 'spin' is out of pace. Not many go counter-clockwise - not that its harmful in any way, but its likely a consequence of your condition. Other than that... clear. You still have the potency to reach mega relatively easily, so your internal data structure wasn't damaged too much in the transfer."
Yes, he saw the similarity with Siris - but they were both Renamon, and it wasn't as if he had both data sets sitting right next to each-other. As he focused, he continued to scratch a few notes down - eventually offering the chart to the Renamon, written in Digital Script. "One last test. Can you read this? Some Digimon can, naturally, so this is more a 'curious' question."

As Siris heard the lessons from his father, the pup would fold his ears and nod, a little embarrassed by the lesson, but still grateful. He leaned back and pressed into the corner a bit;
”Y-you’re right, dad. Sorry.”
Viktor chuckled a bit. Dad? Viktor knew Digimon could have kids, but this was a bit outlandish. His joy, however, was short lived as Mikemon tested his reflexes with a rubber hammer. His knee kicking slightly in response and then came something that made the older fox a little more embarrassed than he cared to admit. As Mikemon went over ear to ear, he winced, not enjoying the newer, much larger ears that came with the perks and curse of superhuman hearing. Then, the doc looked into his core. Making him even more ‘exposed’ to them.
”As expected.” he confirmed to himself.
Next came the reading, some letters in Digiscript. Viktor shrugged and read as far down as he could, which was the smallest text;
”T. C. F. G. H. K. I. O.”
He shifted eyes and read again, but couldn’t help but wonder what this had to do with anything;
”Okay... we’re done.” he’d give a look to Mikemon... a look that might eerily remind him of his son.
He knew Genesis would be waiting outside, and a peer through the door showed her flipping through some human magazines. Likely it gave her a new perspective.
Siris, as Viktor stood up, would walk a bit closer:
”Uhm... if possible I’d like to meet again and learn about Kajunemon... it’s an interest of mine.”
Viktor looked to Mikemon, then to Siris, then simply tapped the kid on the shoulder and began leaving. Maybe he’d see this kid again, but only if the paths crossed.
Siris blinked, as the tap connected, the face of the other Renamon became skeletal. His fur pitch black and his eyes an eerie white. Suddenly, the fox responded, trying to grab the older fox and pin him to the wall!
”N-no! Not again!”
Viktor easily shoulder tossed the young fox into the wall, then took a defensive stance;
”Mikemon. Control your child.”
Viktor didn’t want to admit it, but something about that touch was... odd.

"Interesting... well, at least you'll be able to make your way around Terminus."
There wasn't a 'point' to that last test - more something to see just how much a 'Digimon' this converted fox was. However, he wasn't going to keep Viktor longer than he would want to say, and simply returned a nod to that Renamon's declaration. "Trailmon Station's due south from here. You're good to go."
That, of course, should have been everything. Genesis was outside, reading through magazines that she probably couldn't read with a Digimon's mere knowledge of Digiscript. Rolling his eyes, he would simply move to file that chart away, ear briefly flickering at his son's question. It seemed Viktor wasn't interested. "Leave him alone, Siris. He's not one to-"
What the heck?!
Seeing Siris flip out at something, the strange tone coming from Siris' words, Mikemon looked on as his son tried to, well, throttle his patient! "Hey!" Viktor didn't need to say anything: Mikemon already moved, expression furious as he would take hold of Siris' arm, and simply try and pull him away. "No reason for that! Sit down right there," he pointed to the chair opposite his desk, "and wait. No more words."
Oh yeah.
Siris was in trouble.

As Siris slammed into the wall, he recovered with expert grace. Shifting his hips and pivoting around, ready to respond before a hand firmly grabbed his arm, effectively knocking him out of his outburst.
His ears folded, and he flinched at his father’s words. Taking a seat where he was ordered as he began to sniff a bit, tears welling in his eyes. Not because he was in trouble, but because truly the young fox didn’t know what came over him, and he was sorry.
Viktor crossed his arms, then looked to Mikemon:
”There was more to that than just an unprovoked attack... I felt something to when I touched your boy.”
He wasn’t going to interfere with his judicatory plans for the child, but he did want the kid to have a little defense. With that, he nodded:
”There’s one more matter I need you for and we’ll be out of your hair. It can wait until you’ve dealt with... this.”
He wouldn’t give Mikemon an answer, he’s he gone by the time the cat doctor looked up.
Siris looked up, ears flat to his skull, ”H-He was that monster... from my dreams. I-I’m sorry dad I didn’t mean to lose it.”
He looked away, staring at the ground instead this time!

Tch...
Damn it, what was today? Mikemon practically had to tear Siris from where he was standing and force him to sit in that chair... and even Viktor seemed somewhat apologetic about what had happened. Still, Mikemon's tone didn't change - one glance over proved that the other fox was gone, and Siris? Well.
He was spooked.
"Look, we're going to have a nice, long talk about this when I get back." His tone was stern, but less 'blunt' than it was a moment ago. "Night terrors or not, you can't just attack anyone like that. You don't know how to handle yourself out of the woods - and trust me, you're going to learn how to, very fast. Now sit down, behave, and wait."
Those words given, he gave a sigh, and stepped out of the office, closing the door behind him. If Viktor was still there, he'd give a nod towards his direction. If not? Well, surely the fox would be back around at some point...

As Mikemon spoke, Siris only sat in the seat he was told, not wanting to cause anymore problems. He didn’t mean to freak out the way he did... but this other Renamon was... he was something and it terrified Siris.
But his father was right. He couldn’t just react and go after people like that. With a sigh, the fox only looked around in the office. He already accepted any punishment his father had.
But Mikemon would not find Viktor outside, Genesis was still flipping through her magazines, and then looked up to Mikemon:
”Done already? Where’s Vik?”
As Mikemon stepped out, Viktor dropped down, locking his door and examining this fox. Something was... familiar about this kid. Viktor swung around wide, keeping his eyes on the kid then broke the silence;
”Mikemon is your dad, right? Who’s your mother.”
Siris flinched, gripping the chair as the ghost of a fox managed to sneak up on him. No one ever snuck up on him!
”K! My mom is K...”
Viktor leaned forward, he could see her in him but there was something else. Like he was looking in a mirror. He was with Mikemon on this kid just being another Renamon until the pup touched him. It was too odd... too much of a factor to be a coincidence.
”When where you born?”
That was a question Siris didn’t have an answer, really. He didn’t know off the top of his head. He sat up in his seat;
”I... don’t know? A while ago!”
Viktor sighed, then shook his head. He was letting Genesis’ idealism get to him. He... did have a fling with K, but it was once and there was no way.
Regardless this would require more investigation.

Good... with Siris now politely out of the way, and with the appointment over, it would only be a matter of time until these two were finally out of his hair. Granted, Viktor proved to be a rather elusive one: as Genesis spoke up, the doctor's ear gave a flick.
"Hm? Didn't he come through this way?" Odd - had he just walked by? "Well, maybe you missed him because you were too engrossed in my secretary's magazines. Anyway, just give him a minute. I'm sure he'll be around."
Well, they could do that - or Genesis could simply check their Digivice. At all of this, Syre just gave a tired sigh, keeping her focus on the globe. "Siris just had to make a scene again, didn't he..."
"Syre, behave. I'm short on my fuse as it is, right now."

A closer look showed this fox was indeed related to K in the sense of his fur pattern. But even as his father was a Mikemon, there was nothing. Even Syre had some things that reminded him of K, now that he thought of it. Genesis might be human now, but she was a Renamon and her eye for this detail was not fettered by the change.
Viktor sighed, walking over and placing a paw on the kid’s wrist and on his shoulder. There was more to this now, more than just a reaction. Viktor needed to know something for sure.
Siris blinked, that same skull faced fox appeared and it was examining him close. He closed his eyes, squinting and hearing the words of his father. He wouldn’t make a scene. He wouldn’t.
Viktor could feel it. That same feeling he had with K... in the forest. On that tree... No. It was only once. There was no way. Yet... Viktor could see that forest and feel K. He pulled off that young fox and pushed gently, trying to coax him into something.
Siris stood up, responding with his own stance. Only to defend. It sold Viktor. No more words. No more feelings. This kid. This unknown fox. This... boy. He had a perfect mirror of Viktor’s stance. One he spent years honing, years developing. This was not something you could read.
Viktor cursed, leaning back. It was in his head. It had to be. He pushed past the kid and sighed, opening the door. Siris loosened his grip. No doubt Mikemon would see the overturned chair of Siris’ response.
Viktor spoke to the cat, ”Okay, I need to speak with you. Alone.”
Goddammit Genesis.

Oh, bloody hell.
Mikemon couldn't just see the overturned door, he could hear it. Viktor made his way back into his office? The doctor swore, looking over his shoulder as the Renamon once more walked out... and practically demanded to speak alone with the doctor.
The cat blinked. A moment later, anger crossed his eyes: "Excuse me? One accident I'll let slide, but you purposefully go in there and stress out my son, and then say 'we need to talk'? Have you two always been this insufferable, or do you just pretend to function like normal people in public?"
Mikemon shook his head - and pointed Viktor towards Genesis, then to the door. "I wish you two the best in trying to figure out your issues, but at this point, I can't have either of you in the library. So leave, or I'll have to call someone to deal with trespassers... and a fair warning, but our resident MeiCrackmon might be a little less kind than most."
Yeah, that was a thinly veiled threat, but at this point, what could they expect?

There was no response from Viktor, not one that would be expected. He didn’t take kindly to threats, and there was almost little this cat or anyone could do to him that would really be considered a threat. But, this still wasn’t over. Not by a long shot.
”You’re hiding something.” he said quietly as he narrowed his eyes.
Mikemon’s defensive response would have been natural, but it was also a bit too sudden. Like a flip of a switch. Even those who grew impatient rarely had outbursts like this. Which meant that in the doctor’s own head... he was on the same page. Admitting it or not.
Genesis, on the other hand, wasn’t as Viktor was. She only laughed at his ‘warning’
”Let me understand this correctly; You are recovering from an attack from a single mega, one that you barely survived yourself, one that nearly destroyed your homestead... and your goal is to threaten a Digimon of a higher level with a Digimon known to be overly aggressive? And here I thought doctors were intelligent”
It was clear neither were taking the threat seriously, Viktor wasn’t up to par for a fight past Champion, but given the circumstances he was certain he could perform. Life or death has a way of doing that. But Viktor, as always, wasn’t looking for a fight.
”Enough. What is to be accomplished by any of this? We’ll leave, but this isn’t over. Poorly worded insults aside, there is a real matter here.”
Viktor signaled to Genesis, who simply sat, crossing her arms.
”Oh, so you’re backing down too, Hmm? You’ve grown weak since you’ve become a Renamon.”
”This isn’t the time or the place. There is nothing to be gained from a fight here. We’re leaving.”
Viktor started out, but Genesis continued to stay. She turned and looked to Mikemon;
”I’ll listen to my partner, for now. But you threaten us again... well, let’s just say you’re going to be putting that medical training to work.”
She turned to leave, following her Digimon. But not before stopping to turn and give one more glance at the doctor.
Siris stepped into the door frame and rubbed his arm, looking a hit ashamed;
”S-Sorry, dad. I caused this. I shouldn’t have made him stay for a check up. I’m sorry.” he hung his head, looking at the ground with folded ears. Clearly blaming himself.

Actually? Mikemon wasn't hiding anything.
Perhaps Viktor's years of distrust and battle-ruggedness had made him suspicious, but right now, Dr. Mikemon was on only one mode: protecting his family. Genesis' bluffs about Viktor's current level of power proved entirely ineffective (as if he could even hit champion in his condition?), Mikemon responding with a simple, clear finger towards the door. "I don't care if you're a Renamon or a fully-unleashed Lucemon. If either of you lay a finger on my family again, I will tear you apart. Now leave."
His tone was clear and calm, no deceit to be had - to the point that it wasn't even a threat, but a promise. He'd look on carefully as Viktor, then Genesis, made their way out, Mikemon going as far as to flip Genesis off as she tried to get in the last word. With the two finally gone, his ear would flick as Siris made his apology.
The doctor's anger - towards him, at least - had cooled. Taking a deep breath, Mikemon forced a nice smile on his face, gently resting a paw on Siris' shoulder. "Look. Its been a long day - he made you excited, and scared you. I know you didn't mean to do what you did - and you know that you need to do better around guests." He kept it rather simple, smiling as he tried to get the Renamon's spirits up. "We'll talk about what you saw later. For now? Help me pick up my office - you did kind of tear it up."
