A Walk in the Woods (Hiroyo, Tsukiko, Eleonora)

Tsukaimon fidgeted as she waited at the edge of the server woods. Whenever she wasn't squirming like the world's most loosely packed jelly bean, she was instead scratching at her long, bat-like ears with a stumpy leg. When all of that failed to amuse her, the Rookie instead settled for running around in circles until she could barely work up the energy to run anymore. "Lay!" she whined, drawing out the name for at least a good ten seconds. "When are the humans gonna get here? It's been, like, a week!"
Right by the Tsukaimon's shadow was a youthful looking girl, her laugh soft as she looked down at the Digimon under her care. She scooped her up in her arms, running a hand across her head. That shut the Tsukaimon up near immediately, the Digimon practically melting into her arms and sighing. "We only put the notice up a few hours ago," she corrected, the amusement on her smile plain as day. "But I can't say I blame you. You just really want to meet new people, huh?" She pouted as she turned the Tsukaimon around in her arms, looking at her face to face. "Are you already that bored of your tamer?"
The Tsukaimon blew a raspberry in her face, causing her tamer to recoil and drop it. She laughed as she started flying circles around her. "No, no, no! But I wanna meet more people!" she chirped. " 'Sides, then we're gonna find the flower, right? And then we can stop running from big, scary guys in the forest all the time."
"Maybe we wouldn't have to run if you didn't keep introducing yourself to all the Kuwagamon," she chided.
"They look like they could be friends! Y'know, until they turn around," Tsukaimon protested, her voice trailing off.
That one earned a teasing nudge from the Tsukaimon's tamer. As she leaned into her the Tsukaimon flew around, nestling herself into her black bob cut as if it were a nest. Her wings draped down onto her shoulders, framing the purple jacket that she wore. "Well, don't worry. I'm sure all the friends you told me you'd find are right on the way now. Then we can all go to the forest, okay?" she asked, reaching up to give her ears a scratch. " 'Til then, just stay put, okay?"
It was advice the Tsukaimon would promptly disregard. As soon she caught a whiff of approaching human she would fly right for it, stubby legs spread wide for a tackle hug.

It's been a couple of days now since Eleonora accidentally come to the digital world falling directly into the Shibuya River and being transported to this fantastic world filled with interesting creatures, it also met her partners two gear shape X Digimon, (Hagurumon X and Solarmon X) known as Gurren and Lagann, well that's the name she gave them since they went by serial numbers/code names, the trio was form and started working together following one goal but this little adventure has nothing to do with that, if anything they're still getting to know each other and have little to no experience on the digital world in general, so once Leo found this little quest asking to be bodyguards in a forest she didn't lose any second into accepting it, this definetly will give the experience they need.
The trío was finally getting close to the meeting point and when they were close enought to see a human Eleonora was caught by a surprise hug tackle from a UFB (unidentified Flying Bean), the german girl flail a little trying to get the small Tsukaimon of her face but to no avail, she soon gave up and accept the hug of the little cute digimon.
"You must be the little one that put up the mission, please to meet you my name is Eleonora and this little two are Gurren and Lagann" Leo said still having the digimon latched in her face
"It is a pleasure to meet you" "We hope we can help on this important task"
Both gears greeted and once Leo was finally free from the hug she introduce herself to the young girl too, at that moment she also learn that there'll be a couple of more people with them so it would be best to wait for them, surely it won't take long.
"Alright, the more the merrier after all" She smiled and then look at the entrance of the forest. "While we wait for the others, what kind of flower are we looking for?"
Battle log Bean use hug IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE German girl can't fight back and gives up (?)

So… the adventure goes on. The trip around Rustport brought a new stage for Mitsuharu and the third member for the Ashikaga Clan. We soon left the desert, looking for new horizons (We even took a train that’s actually a digimon. So cool!) I can’t say we quite left the bounty hunting behind but… let’s say we’re currently just trying to make some money. This brought us to accepting a pretty odd job we came to find about through the D-Terminal, in a site where you can find digimon and humans requesting for help for pretty much any kind of task. Even when it seemed like a pretty easy job I figured why the hell not? In the end, it’s just about the adventure, right?
… Well, at that time... we kind of didn’t know in what kind of adventure we were getting into. Nor did we have an idea of the mysteries we would unfold.
At a slow pace, two figures walked over the Mainframe Hills. Two flat, bamboo made jingasas on their head. The road was a vast, green surface that seemed to never end. That until the image of a forest could be seen on the horizon. They were getting closer to the start of a new adventure, and the zeal manifested itself all over Tsukiko’s white skin, covered by her purple coat. The rest of her suit consisted of black leather pants and boots.
By her side, Mitsuharu the Bushi Agumon, with his sword leaning on his shoulder.
“I suppose this friend Kissu Grandma wanted to see was pretty important, for her splitting ways with us like that.” No doubt. It was sort of disappointing to have their third member lose such an important mission. Kissu the Babamon was their most recent incorporation to the team, and the shame for not having her aboard for this job could be felt in the Bushi Agumon’s tone of voice.
Tsukiko only frowned, raising her gaze for a second, holding her hat. “I guess she didn’t have time to lose.” Not too far from them, they could already see a couple of figures at the entrance of a huge forest. “She did say she would see us once we were done. I hope she’s able to find us.” It wouldn’t surprise the human that the old woman had some trick under her sleeve to locate them without much trouble.
In any case, they had arrived at the entrance of the Server Woods, and it was time for their attention to shift into the people there standing.
“Greetings.” The pink haired girl lifted her jingasa with one hand, a simple wave with the other one ensued. “It’s great to meet you all.” A warm smile on her face, she introduced herself. “My name is Ashikaga Tsukiko. I’m a member of the Ashikaga clan. As well as my partner, Ashikaga Mitsuharu. I hope we can…” Moving her gaze towards the samurai, she would find he was not by her side anymore, but he had approached a small, purple, fat-sausage-like digimon with wings. On one knee, the dinosaur was extending a hand to the creature, having put his hat behind, for her to properly see his face. Knowing what was coming (her flirty partner being flirty), Tsukiko decided to take the time to check her digivice, and identify all of the digimon around her.
“Oh, beautiful lady.” Welp, there he went. “I’ve been wandering through this endless plains, taking the heat of the remorseless sun. But I assure you not even that yellow star has struck me with the strength your beautiful yellow eyes had pierced me with at the moment I saw you."
“Hagurumon, Solarmon, Tsukaimon…” Tsukiko muttered the name of some of the digimon at the scene, according to what the digivice was saying. All of this while her partner just rambled about how he would go through another thousand planes to find Tsukaimon again. Her gaze shifted again towards the group, especially to that who seemed to be the partner of the purple guinea pig; a girl with a purple jacket and short hair. “Please, forgive my partner.” Mustering an apologetic smile.
“Our names are kind of similar. I suppose we can say if I were a digimon I would look like you.” Her blue eyes fixed on Tsukaimon, the girl tried to make her feel not so awkward about Mitsuharu flirting with her like an in-love teenager. “You look kind of cool.” The girl gave her a smile, hoping that she could ignore her partner being so corny and they could get along good. She turned towards the tamer once again, time to talk about business. “I would like to know some more details about what we’re supposed to do here. Exactly what’s the reason for you to be looking for this flower?"
While they waited for "let's go" sign, her blue eyes unavoidably found another young girl, with blonde haird and shiny green eyes. Two gear digimon the digivice had previously identified were by her side. "Those look pretty cool." Showing a smirk to the lady, Tsukiko finished her thought. "I bet they are quite strong."

There's an uncapped tube with something that's too flesh-colored to be lipstick in Hiroyo's hand. It is currently the cause of all of Roger's frustrations because every so often Hiroyo swipes a finger from her other hand over the skin-stuff and then pauses mid-stride to drag that finger under her eyes.
"The client is waiting for us! If you're worried about making a good impression I'd think you'd worry about not being late!"
He is so very, very tempted to start stabbing her when she stops. Just a little stab to keep her moving!
Instead he settles for making louder and more obnoxious sighing noises until she finally takes the cap out of her mouth and pops it back onto the tube then sticks that back into the duffel bag. Roger is tempted to fling himself off her shoulder in a series of increasingly improbable aerial manuevers to express his gratitude that it's finally over.
"Finall-NO!"
His enraged shriek as she pulls yet another damn tube out of her bag cause an immediater reaction. She breaks into laughter so hard that for a moment that he's worried she's going to lose her balance. She flicks a few tears from her eyes and drops the tube back into the bag and Roger realizes he's been had.
He can't help being impressed, but he covers it with a layer of false anger.
"What have you two done now?" Morgan asks, his voice as dry as the desert they haven't quite put behind them yet. He was scouting ahead of the group but Roger assumes he returned at the noise they were making. Hiroyo is still laugh-no, cackling now because she is an utter witch and that leaves Roger to explain.
"She's been making terrible time because of her little make-up routine and just when I though she was done she brought out another one!" He clicks his beak in mock irritation as he shifts his weight to keep his perch on the red head's shoulder. She's almost toward the end of her sudden outburst of laughter: he can feel her straighten up beneath him and so he ploughs on ahead with his complaints before she's gotten her breath back to counter. "I mean we could be heading into violence and she's over here like taking her sweet time worrying about looking pretty!"
"I think you mean you're hoping we head into violence. I would think, that after the desert, you'd be happy for an easy break!" She retorted with a grin he could feel. The desert comment stung, more than Roger was willing to admit. Luckily before his beak could ruin the happy mood he could feel the presence of more digimon and humans, they had arrived. "Annnnd we're here! No more arguing!"
Morgan moved so he was hovering off of Hiroyo's left shoulder, aesthetically and tactically balancing the Kunemon draped over her right shoulder. The twins looked fine: no visible reminder of their battle in the desert was present in these forms.
Hiroyo herself looked physically fine as she strolled up to the group with a cheerful wave of her hand that matched the tone of her greeting. "Hello! I'm Hiroyo, I'm here for the flower hunt! Fanbeemon is Morgan," she jerked a thumb at each of her partners as she named them. They in turn ducked their heads politely as she cheerfully forged through their end of introductions. "and this terrible scarf is Roger! Pleasure to meet you all."
There was a familiarity to the introduction that Roger found was almost soothing enough to smooth over his earlier irritation.

Tsukaimon laughed happily as she spun around Eleonora's face. In a single, smooth motion she promptly swirled up to the top of the newcomer's head, trotting in a little circle before nesting down. "Huh. Blondes feel differenter," she mused. "Fun, fun!"
Of course, once actually settled in, the Tsukaimon leaned over to peer down at Eleonora. It'd be rude not to look at someone while she talked, after all! "Yep, yep!" Tsukaimon chirped. "Lay and I need big, tough humans like you to keep us safe. And look! You've got two partners! Lay, when am I gonna get a little brother?"
Layla couldn't help but laugh at that one. "Then you'd just get jealous again," she said, an amused smile snaking across her face.
That amusement only doubled when an Agumon came into view, already kneeling before the Tsukaimon in a grandiose gesture. While Tsukaimon was a bit too high on her new blonde perch to return the Agumon's outstretched hand, she giggled coquettishly at his enthusiasm. She even wrapped one ear around her mouth and fanned herself with the other, as if she was a southern belle with the vapors. She giggled in equal parts confusion, amusement, and flattery. Tsukiko, at the very least, tried to make things a bit more even by giving a less elaborate compliment, and in return earned a warm smile from Tsukaimon. "Awww, you guys are such sweeties!" she said, even as her tamer rolled her eyes and shot Tsukiko a knowing smile. "But . . . you got a name, right? Other Tsuki, does his name sound like mine too?"
And finally came Hiroyo, who looked like she stepped out of a commercial but had the lingering energy of a total mess. Nevertheless, with their earlier argument behind them, Hiroyo and her bugs actually looked like quite the unit. Immediately Tsukaimon turned to her tamer, cheeks puffed out grumpily. "See? They all have two!" she complained, taking off of Eleonora's head and plopping back down onto his own tamer's shoulder. She looked almost like a pirate's parrot, although her tamer's jacket looked more for fashion and less for swashbuckling.
With the group now all assembled, the girl smiled softly at them. Unlike her rather excitable partner, she seemed to take things a bit more in stride. However, even her even tone didn't change how genuine the warmth in her voice was. "Thank you guys all for coming today, really," she said, gently stroking Tsukaimon's head. "My name's Layla, and I think you all know Tsukaimon by myself. And I know, the woods probably aren't the most high-priority place for a bunch of strong tamers like yourself. But this little dork really wanted me to have some company this time. Didn't you, didn't you?" She jokingly pinched the Tsukaimon's cheek, fawning over the little Digimon as it flailed in mock displeasure.
Upon remembering that she wasn't alone, she blushed softly and turned back to the rest of the group. "A-anyway, you were asking about the flower?" she said, turning primarily to Tsukiko but making sure the rest of the group was nearby as well. "Well . . . god, this is gonna sound silly. But my big brother's, like, way into gardening. He's been teaching me how since I've been old enough to walk. And now that I'm living on my own, I guess I've been kinda missing that connection. So I've been looking for something to really wow him with, you know? Show him his little sis hasn't forgotten it all.
But nothing really felt right. Until I found this little beaut."
Layla reached into her pocket and pulled out a fairly large flower. It was about the size of her hand, with a thick olive stem and an almost star-like shape. However, most interesting were its petals. They were a velvety black color, with what seemed like purple highlights running along the sides. They almost seemed to shimmer and glow, as if there was an energy coursing through the flower's veins. The smell, too, was something to behold. Each of the group's members would find it taking on their favorite scent, with a small undertone of vanilla underneath.
Layla couldn't help but grin with pride as she looked at it. "Pretty neat, huh?" she asked. "My brother was always bragging about his own garden. Not gonna lie, it'll be nice being the one leaving him speechless for a change.
But I only found the one. And it doesn't seem like it wants to self-pollinate. So I'm gonna have to find a second one if I want a nice little batch of these to show off. And these woods . . . it's like the deeper you go in, the more of a maze they become. I keep trying to retrace my steps, but each time I end up somewhere completely different. Maybe a few more pairs of eyes will stop me from getting lost again, you know?"
With her little explanation finished, Layla once more turned to the group. "If there's anything else you guys want to know, just let me know, okay?" she asked, smiling softly. "And if not? Well, adventure awaits, right?"

Eleonora didn't really know how to feel having the little bean on her head, in the end she could only blush a litle and let a small nervous giggle, to be fair was something funny and she find it cute how easy the tsukaimon nested on her head.
"Well, I hope Blondes are differenter good!" She said looking up a little trying to see the little digimon on her head.
Not soon after it came another person follow by her digimon, both wearing those ronin like hat that she always saw in the samurai movies, the partner looked like a small dinosaur yet it also kept the samurai aesthetic even carrying a sword, was this part of their act or they do this all the time? To say that their first impression was good is an understatement they truly know how to make an entrance, Eleonora thought the samurai gimmick was a little too much but "to each their own"
The second the small dinosaur got closer to talk to the Tsukaimon Leo couldn't hold her laughterm it was a funny scene to be honest, a small wandering samurai finding a princess that rest on top of a... Tower? She didn't know what rol played here, something that call her attention was the way the agumon speaked, the mannerisms of gentleman, an act that she certainly saw in another digimon, granted aside from Royland and the gears she hadn't met much digimon so in this moment she thinks that most digimon must play an act/character that fits wwith their appereance, that would explain why the two gears act like robots and Royland and this digimon where chivalrous mons.
"Your's look good too, nice to meet you miss Ashikaga, my name is Eleonora Schmidt" The German girl said with a little bow, while not for much Leo could see that Tsukiko was older than her and being honest the whole samurai vibe that she and her partner are surroundded makes her look profesional, it would be smart to be respectful towards her.
And speaking of professionalism and good looks another girl came followed by two little bugs, Hiroyo look like she took her good time to show a nice first impresion and at least physically she made it, a thing Leo couldn't hide was her little discomfort around bugs she never like them, but she can admit that the little bee was cute... The centipede on Hiroyo's shoulder.... Better not talk about it...
Focusing on the mission in hand the girl (named Layla) explain her reason to get the flower, to impress her brother and show him that she has not forotten all that he teach her, that was a sweet goal, but even sweeter was the flower it was star shaped and the petals seemed to glow, it had a beautiful dark color with purple highlights but the thing that got her attention the most was the scent, Leo could bet her life that the scent was the German Cornflower, a beautiful blue flower that she remembers fondly due to her grand mother having a full garden of them.
"Well, if more eyes is what you need, my two little friends have a total of twelve!" She proudly proclaimed and then look at the gears
The twins nodded understanding the what her general indirectly order them and with a metallic CLINK CLANK sound, the two smaller gears on their head came off and float around the group.
"This are our KoGears, they are sentient too and are able to act independently from us" "They are also able to send the information they gathered directly to us, but they have a range of work of 6 meters, if they go beyond that radius from us they deactivate"
"As of now, we might not be the strongest, but if it's about scouting we can do a really nice work"

“It’s nice to meet you all.” Tsukiko bowed her head to Hiroyo, Morgan and Roger in a respectful manner, holding her jingasa while she did. It felt weird for her to actually not know the woman's last name. But if she decided to introduce herself like that, there wasn’t much she could do. After introducing herself and her partner to the very neat and good-looking lady, the blue-eyed’s gaze shifted back into the digivice, to identify the species of the worm digimon swirled around the orange-haired girl's shoulder, which she had introduced as Roger. “Ku-ne-mon…” She muttered, splitting the name by syllables. “Ashikaga Mitsuharu is the name of this brave warrior, my lady. But if you let me take your hand I am willing to be whoever you want me to be! The name won’t be important if I get to listen to you address me with that soft voice of yours that could calm even the sorest of hearts.” Boy, Mitsuharu was really trying today. Tsukiko sighed, ignoring her partner flirtatious attitude, like most times. Eleonora Schmidt was the name of the girl with the two machine-like digimon. That name didn’t sound Japanese. Neither did she look much Japanese, in all honesty. She seemed like a very nice girl, though. It was nice to see the Ashikaga’s would be working with a team of friendly people; that could only make their job easier. The purple flying bean went back to her partner and it was time to talk business. Layla and her Tsukaimon seemed to have a really cute synergy going on. It didn’t take much to both the pink haired and the Samurai notice the digimon really cared about her tamer’s wellbeing. It was possible this girl was assuming Tsukiko was more experienced as a tamer than she really was. She decided to let that slip since it wouldn’t look very reliable clarifying the opposite right now. “Yes!” She nodded upon being addressed by Layla. “If you could tell us a little more, that would be great.”The reasons for Layla to look for this flower didn’t sound silly at all. It was a task for her to both impress and gladden her brother, and that was both adorable and understandable. “Well, bringing him a flower from another world actually seems like a gift that would make him happy.” Mitsuharu pondered about the matter, staring at the woods. The tables turned when Layla actually showed them she already had a flower. And it was indeed a pretty impressive one. When the scent reached her, Tsukiko and Mitsuharu both blinked, slightly surprised. “This smells like… fresh wood.” That was a very weird scent for a flower to have. It did have some vanilla underneath, which… actually made it weirder. “Sensei…” Mitsuharu frowned, his eyes fixed on the pink haired girl instead that in the flower. “This smells like you.” This statement was met by Tsukiko’s most confused gaze ever. “A-Are you trying to say I smell like wood?” The girl pouted. It didn’t seem to be the case. Why did it smell so different for both the Bushi Agumon and the girl? So the search was actually for reproductive purposes. “So you’re trying to retrace your steps, trying to remember the path you followed when you found this one?” The blue-eyed did have a couple of inquires about the job before going inside the forest. “So when you found it, there were multiple flowers like that at the same place?” This raised one last question, something that was looking rather odd about Layla’s story to both her and Mitsuharu. “Why didn’t you pick a second flower when you found that one if there were many, Layla-san?” The samurai digimon uttered the question Tsukiko was about to ask herself. Once these doubts were off the table, the Ashikaga duo would be ready to jump into action. At first startled, Tsukiko and Mitsuharu stared at the amazing display of utility Eleonora’s gears performed. That was going to be useful, no doubt. “So cool…” Escaped Tsukiko’s lips.

There’s not enough static in there air for Roger’s electrical sensing abilities to stretch far but in a way that’s a blessing. It means there’s less interference and he can focus easily on those around him. Everyone besides Hiroyo and Morgan are just blobs of impulse and voltage in poorly defined shapes but he’s not worried about that. He can differentiate enough to ‘see’ that the girl with the gears appears to be afraid him: she hides it well but he’s not looking with his eyes. He debates calling her out on it, he’s still salty from Hiroyo’s earlier jab, but then a more unexpected target presents itself.
Digivices are very distinct to him, both from the world around them and from each other.
“Excuuuuse me!” He rears off Hiroyo’s shoulder to pose like a snake poised to strike, his beak pointed in Tsukiko’s direction. He separates each word with a click of his very large beak, his voice infused with outrage and manufactured shock. “Unbelievable! Such brazenly rude behavior! How dare you invade my privacy like tha-“
He feels the nerves firing in Hiroyo’s arms the same moment her arm moves and he doesn’t quite manage to swing his head out of range of her hand. So quick! It is something he admires about her and will never admit. He jerks his body to the side hard enough that she would have stumbled had she been in motion. At a standstill it is easy for her to counter the change in momentum with a shift of her hips and for her to reach up with both hands and pull his beak across her chest and under her arm. Roger thrashes to no avail: with her arms wrapped opposing ways around his body Hiroyo has a very firm grip.
It is with hat askew and a smile that is more than a little forced that Hiroyo looks up from her bug wrangling. Her purse strap rests at the very edge of her shoulder, barely holding in place on the fabric that’s shifting from Roger’s now much calmer wiggling.
“Sorry! We had a really bad time about a week ago and he's been lashing about it ever since!” There’s an edge to her otherwise friendly tone, an irritation that’s obvious Internally she's pretty mad, because of course he has to go and try to start some kind of a fight when things were going well. The redhead takes a step back from the circle around Layla and Tsukaimon so as not to disturb the proceedings.
She maintains a tight grip all the way through Layla’s explanation for why the group is out and about though. Her expression gradually shifts into something more neutral and determined right up until the flower comes out then her eyes open wide and she leans forward with no attempt to hide how impressed she is. “Beautiful! Like a nighttime sky!”
She’s not the only one entranced by the flower. Morgan, who had surreptitiously flown a little higher so he was only at the edge of vision (the better to not be associated with his embarrassment of a brother with) drifts down with a gentle humming of his wings. His antenna twitch as his bright eyes focus on the flower. “It would certainly make a fine gift for a gardener.” He agrees, nodding at Mitsuharu. The Agumon-variant has already earned a few points in his favor in Morgan's eyes, early flirtatiousness notwithstanding.
The bug pauses, head cocked first at Tsukiko then at Mitsuharu curiously as they speak of smells. Having no nose himself he cannot verify their words (and wouldn’t even attempt to sniff the human) but instead hums thoughtful and drifts back towards the gear-twins and their tamer. There is something odd here but his sample size is too small for him to begin to voice even an unlikely theory.
The CLINK-CLANK draws enough attention from the trio that even Roger stops squirming. Hiroyo leans away from the gear-twins, squinting at them suspiciously and waiting. Once the explanation finishes, and more importantly the metal digimon fail to produce weirdly fleshy tubes stretching from the body to the mini-forms, she visibly relaxes. There are some things she just can’t get use to and the Digital World's weird wedding of metal to flesh is one of those things.By contrast Gurren and Lagann are a refreshing case of machinery being just machinery.
“That is very reassuring.” Morgan says, his voice smooth and calm as he hovers just over head of most of the human members of the group. His attention has been pulled from the flower to the metal twins like all the rest no doubt have and the look in his eye is obviously approving. Little eddies of wind disperse from beneath where he hovers to brush past shoulders and legs of the girls like the breath of an overly friendly dog. Gentle but still potentially irritating. “It is a shame about the range but I can scout ahead, the communication will be slower.” He nods his head in the direction of Eleonora and the twins as if to apologize that he is not nearly so efficient. "Unless one of you would prefer to take lead, I could always provide aerial surveillance."
“Hey that’s great! We need a way to find our way back so we don’t get lost…I mean I guess we could just rely on our sense of direction but…” Hiroyo trails off from her sudden outburst, scrunching up her face as she looks up at the sky as if the answer will fall from the clouds in front of her. Abruptly she straightens and with an “Ah-ha!” She pulls the much less wiggly Kunemon out from under her arm. “Roger! Can you lay thread behind us as we go?”
The poor Kunemon wobbles a bit, his head rolling around and his beak wide and gasping for air. Despite this Hiroyo remains firm, and seeing that she won’t fall for his tricks, he huffs and snaps his beak shut. For a moment he considers her proposal then gives an awful grind of his beak before answering. “Buzz no. Not even if you were constantly feeding me.”
"Well, we're useless there. Anyone else got any ideas?" Hiroyo pouts but pulls him close so he can crawl back onto her shoulder again. It appeared his time in her armpit, short as it was, was sufficient to encourage to go from outright hostility to passive aggression. She’s forced to admit it’s probably the best she’s going to get.

Tsukaimon blinked, curious, as she listened to what Mitsuharu had to say. Her hand? But she needed those! Tsukai foot paws weren't really good luck, honest! However, after a bit of thought, she started to realize what Mitsuharu meant. Letting out a small hum of understanding, she zipped off of Layla's shoulder and flew down to give Mitsuharu a high-five. "There you go!" she chirped, not even hesitating before flying right back to Layla. She hadn't understood what Mitsuharu meant in the slightest, but at the very least it was the thought that counted.
For the most part, Layla's impromptu crew was focusing on hammering out scouting plans. Layla let them focus on that a bit as she turned to Tsukiko. The girl and her Agumon had a very insightful question, after all. "Believe me, I tried," Layla said. "But it takes a lot of care to properly move a flower, you know. If you just want to keep it in a vase for a few days you can get away with just the stem, but if you want to grow it for yourself? Then you'll really want to make sure it can take root. I had enough time to dig and pot one flower up, but before I could set another one up . . . something came looking for me."
The Tsukaimon shivered, burying itself into Layla's jacket. "So big, way too big," she repeated. "Like some bee. But with these huge, scary arms. Punched a tree right in half! So we ran, ran, ran as far as we could!"
"I'm hoping it won't be there again if we come back," Layla said. "I don't think we were in its territory. But when you get deeper into these woods, there are a lot of plant and insect Digimon battling it out. So I can't say I'm really sure. Then again, when you go as deep as I do there's a lot of stuff that stops really seeming sure. So, be careful, okay? I really don't want any of you guys to get lost, or worse."
"Aw, but that's why these guys are here!" Tsukaimon chirped, flying over to the KoGears. She pointed at them all, mumbling a few things under her breath with each point. "Spinny . . . Whirly . . . Metal-y . . . and . . . uh . . . Other Spinny! You guys are gonna be brave and keep an eye out for us, right? Please?" With names like that, how could the KoGears ever refuse their job?
Layla laughed warmly at her Digimon's usual foolery. "I think she likes your plan!" she said. "So that has us covered from the front. Although Hiroyo's right that we need something from the back . . . " Speaking of Hiroyo, she looked up at the woman, smiling mischievously. "Say, you just did your make-up, right? Worst comes to worst, we could always use that as a marker. And I bet all the shades you've got will do great for marking any split paths, so we don't get confused." She paused for a second, then grinned sheepishly. "I'll pay you back for the ones we use, too. I know it isn't cheap looking that good."
Now the group had a forward scouting plan and a way to mark where they've been. It was time for this adventure to get going! Layla turned around and made for the woods, motioning for everyone else to follow. "We can take it easy for the time being, I think, since the KoGears are leading the way. But we should at least get moving," she said. Her pace was steady yet cautious, and she looked over her shoulder a few times as if confirming that the rest of the group was still there.
For the time being, there wasn't too much to go off of. It was starting to get darker directly in front of the group, and didn't seem to be much lighter to the left or right. Anything from this entry point would start getting steadily darker, the dense canopy swallowing up any light that tried to snake through. "While the gears go looking, how did you all find your partners?" Layla asked, hoping to strike up some friendly conversation.

Eleonora have to give credit to the little dinosaur he was putting the moves on the Tsukaimon, he was good with words and that's something she can deny but at the same time there's something funny of seeing a dinosaur being flirty and using those words, the german girl burst into laughter once Tsukaimon flew towards him and gave it a high five poor guy.
"I'm sorry... It' was too funny!" Said the Blonde trying to hold her laughter. "Digimon are really special, everyone has their own quirk and personality, I already like this din..." She stop mid-sentence trying to recall the name of the Agumon, while yes, he just said it japanese names were still a little hard for the german to remember. "Mitsumaru...?"
A thing Leo noted was Hiroyo leaning back once the gears made their little demonstration, the blonde suppose she had to explain instead of demonstrate what she was going to do, after all it's a normal reaction to take a step back when a machine does a sound it shouldn't do, speaking of the KoGears the four of them nodded when Tsukaimon ask if they're going to keep an eye out for the team, Eleonora chuckle after hearing the names that the little digimon gave them (seriously can this bean be more adorable?) she then looked at Morgan, still a little uneasy about the bee but it looks friendlier than Hiroyo's other partner.
"It would be best if you can go with them, those little things are a one-hit wonder" She then look at her partners again to explain.
"Yes, as sad as it is the KoGears can only withstand a couple of attacks before deactivating or going back to us"
"Yet they are still capable fighters and should not be underestimated, my KoGears are capable of self destructing, an explosion at point blank even if it's small will do a lot of damage"
"My gears on the other hand are capable of releasing a lethal virus that will drain the power of whoever has been expose to it"
When everything was said and done Layla made a motion to go into the forest and the group followed, the 4 little gears took the lead and move a little farther from the group to scout ahead, the more the group walked into the forest the darker it got if she was alone probably would be worrying but the group is big and more than capable of facing anything this forest can throw at them, right?
Well Layla didn't lose anytime and make the question she always like to ask, it's interesting to discover how everyone got to meet their partners and how their experience in the digital world differs from one another.
"Well, my story ain't that long or interesting, I fell from a bridge into Shibuya river and I thought I drawned but when I woke up I was on Terminus and these two came out of nowhere, scan me and said that I was fully compatible to be their general" Eleonora laughed

The words coming from the bug startled the girl a little. "Invade your... Privacy." Tsukiko blinked, retracing the creature's words. It was both what he said and how he said it that confused her a bit. He wasn't able to say much, though, Hiroyo stopped him immediately.
Upon hearing the tamer's brief explanation, Tsukiko shook her head. "Don't mention it." Ultimately, everyone has bad days. She then shifted her blue eyes' direction to address Roger. "I am sorry, I won't scan you ever again. I promise." It was probably for the best to apologize.
Meanwhile, Mitsuharu was having his own struggle to get into Tsukaimon's heart... Or not? The Bushi Agumon stared into the horizon after feeling Tsukaimon's paw on his dinosaur hand. He remained some seconds without uttering a word, to then finally break his own silence. "Was this a..." Was he heartbroken? Sentimentally Crushed? "... Display..." Devastated? Destroyed "... Of love!?" Nope.
"It is not!" Tsukiko facepalmed, after seeing this interpretation given by the samurai. It was obvious he didn't understand all too well the meaning of a high-five, apparently. His poor reading of this made him think that Tsukaimon was showing her love towards him, apparently. However, the swordsman didn't seem to be paying much attention to Tsukiko's words, he was completely astonished at the yellow-eyed digimon cuteness. Meanwhile, the girl tackled Eleonora's comment. "Very close. His name is Mitsuharu." She explained. "And honestly, I think he's just trying too hard." A sigh ensued, along with the realization that her partner was really helpless when it came to female digimon, wasn't him? "But I'm glad you find it funny. I hope Layla and Tsukaimon do too and they don't find it awkward or something." Even though the flying purple creature didn't seem to understand all too well the dinosaur's intentions. Maybe that was for the best.
Leaving that aside and going into more important topics, the duo just listened to Layla's explanation, regarding why they couldn't take another flower. It was convincing. Nothing else to say regarding their initial doubts on the matter. Nevertheless, Mitsuharu's eyes were burning with fire after hearing about a certain enemy that scared Tsukaimon. This wasn't about his flirting from a while ago, this was Mitsuharu's fierce spirit that had been stimulated. Tsukiko could feel the zeal for battle vibrating inside of her partner. He was a warrior, and he knew he was here to prove it.
"We will take care, Layla. But you must know we're also willing to fight whenever the situation calls for it." Tsukiko's gaze was the firmest it had been since the duo had arrived. "We won't let anything happen to any of you." Mitsuharu's countenance had turned dead serious; even though he knew he was about to have fun doing what he loved: fighting.
"Isn't naming two of them Spinny a little...?" How was she even going to tell them apart? Welp, It didn't make much sense trying to overthink about the purple's creature logic. In the end, it was honestly very funny to see her go.
Snapping her fingers, the blue-eyed showed she had gotten an idea. "I think Mitsuharu can use his sword to mark our way. I am sure he can leave a trail for us to follow in order to get back at the start. Right?" The girl finished her sentence looking at her disciple, looking for confirmation. "Yes, Sensei. I can also mark some of the trees, in a way we can know where we have been and where were we going." It was probably for the best he stayed around the group, anyways, since he probably was eager to engage in combat soon. "It would be a shame for you to lose your makeup, anyways" Tsukiko added, now looking at Hiroyo.
The girl and the Samurai followed Layla and Tsukaimon from up close, while Mitsuharu spat a bit of fire into his sword to then mark the path they were going through, just to make sure it didn't get erased so easily. It seemed like they were away from any peril right now, so it couldn't hurt to relax. Meanwhile, Tsukiko would listen to the stories of the girls about how they found their digimon. "That must have made you feel extremely lucky, Schmidt. If I fell from a bridge, I would like a portal to an alternate dimension to be below, if that means I'm not dying." Her index finger on her lower lip, Tsukiko mused about the blondie's story. Even when she was a bit curious about how Eleonora had fallen from a bridge, she figured it was probably not a good idea to ask.
Tsukiko then realized it was her time to speak. "I found Mitsuharu's egg behind an alley around Shibuya." That sounded rather fishy, didn't it? "I later discovered he had come from this world through a portal some evil digimon opened up, escaping from my ex-boyfriend and some girl, who's a friend of him." That sounded rather complex now. Ugh, there was probably not much she could do about it, though. "That egg hatched and Mitsuharu appeared. I took him home, trained him and sometime later we decided to come and create our clan." That was pretty much it. She had decided to spare the girls from any unnecessary details. "What about you? How did you two meet?" She asked, this time referring to Layla and Tsukaimon.

Beak opened wide it appeared Roger was going to say something further to Tsukiko. At least he was going to until Hiroyo flicked him in the side and spoke up around his exclamation of pain instead.
"Ow!"
"Thank you!" Hiroyo said, bowing her head to Tsukiko's offer of having her digimon mark the trail. It was a very enthusiastic acceptance of said plan. The red head straightened up, rubbing at the back of her neck with a sheepish. She really didn't have much make-up on her in the first place, and using it to mark up trees seemed like a waste! "I think that's like, a much better idea! My stuff is smudge proof but you never know what this world is going to throw at you."
Morgan nodded his agreement before speaking up with actual reasoning for the new plan being superior. "If we are forced to retrace our steps at speed it will be easier to find a larger slash than a small mark of color. Cut well, Mitsuharu." The Fanbeemon offered before moving forward to shadow the gears from above.
Roger, meanwhile, seemed to have forgotten his earlier outrage at Tsukiko in favor of listening to the gears and their human. "Explode? Like, bombs?" The Kunemon asked as he leaned as far forward from Hiroyo's shoulder as he could without falling off himself. She had to lean back a little to counterbalance but it was pretty clear he didn't care about that, he was too busy being excited about what she and the metal twins had said. "General...are you three starting an army then? Whatcha gonna call it? A good name's gotta have teeth!"
"Uh...how exactly does a name have 'teeth'?" Hiroyo asked with eyebrows raised. Roger, probably to the blonde's relief, twisted to face his own human with a voice full of scorn for her ignorance.
"It's gotta be fierce! It's gotta cut the mouths of foes and stick in the minds of friends! It's gotta declare you're not afraid of nothin' or noone!"
Hiroyo stared at him in disbelief for a moment. His enthusiastic reply to the subject of names was a surprise...but she couldn't take him seriously knowing what his idea of a name was. With a careless wave of her hand Hiroyo sought to disperse any thought that might have been given to Roger's words. "Ignore him, his idea of a name with teeth is apparently calling himself 'Roger the Stun Gun'."
"Hey! If you get hit by one of those you' won't forget it! And I'm shockiing, it fits!"
"Anyways," Hiroyo continued, plainly ignoring the way Roger's beak was pointed right at her cheek. He was clearly waiting for a response and was just as clearly not going to give it to him. Everyone else was sharing their origin stories as it were, the least she could do was to share theirs as well! A clean, sanitized version that was still true. "We uh, met when I followed a boy here, to this world. I came through the closed off part of Shibuya Train Terminal, there's Trailmon there, have you seen 'em?"
Once she was done speaking Hiroyo was content let her arms hang at her sides as she walked. There was a brief moment where she raised both of them as if to put them behind her head before Roger bumped her head withs his and she dropped them again. Walking in the woods was peaceful to her and she was happy to just listen to the tales everyone else was sharing.

Layla laughed warmly, echoing Eleonora's own thoughts. "It's really something special, isn't it?" she said, a dreamy sigh escaping from her. "It's like the larger-than-life world these little guys come from makes them so . . . lively. Us humans, we have all these responsibilities and jobs to worry about, right? But it's like Digimon get to spend most of their time playing around and fighting instead. Makes me wish I could be like them, too!"
Tsukaimon huffed in response, cheeks puffed out. "Not true! I'm super responsible," she grumbled. "I helped put all your clothes away, remember? Remember?"
Layla ruffled the little bean's head. "After you took them all out to make a nest with," she corrected. "And even then, I had to help."
"Exactly! I got us cleaning, together!" The Tsukaimon beamed, smile so wide it practically spanned her entire body. Layla couldn't argue with that logic, sighing and relenting for the time being.
She also couldn't argue with Mitsuharu's logic. A sword was way more effective than lipstick for marking locations, wasn't it? She blushed slightly, shying away a little from Hiroyo as she realized the flaws in her idea. "R-right. I guess that was a bit of a silly idea, huh?" she said. "I was thinking we could color-coordinate if push came to shove, but that's probably a lot more trouble than its worth. My bad on that one"
"Lay colors, like, everything," Tsukaimon said, worsening the poor girl's blush. "You should see her bookshelf sometimes! It's like a big old rainbow!" By now the poor girl was definitely red, Tsukaimon cackling mischievously as Layla tried to shush her. "Aw, don't be shy! I think it's really cool," the Tsukaimon cooed, which only made it worse.
Not really wanting to walk into further teasing, Layla sighed in relief as the group hopped onto her topic idea. One of the group had fallen from the human world and ended up here, coming upon her partners by chance. Another pair had been bonded by destiny, two escapees from the same ex now united as one clan. The final tamer almost seemed to be hiding something, a simple meeting between a boy, a girl, and some Digimon. Nobody had been too detailed with their accounts, but this one was especially sparse. However, beyond raising an eyebrow, Layla didn't say too much about it. She knew the value of private time all too well. "Oh, the Trailmon are great," she said, accepting Hiroyo's topic change gracefully. "Tsukaimon swears they listen in on all our conversations, but I think they're too busy for that. And they tell the best stories!
And speaking of stories, its interesting how different all of ours are," Layla said, a soft smile on her face. "If I can be honest, Tsukaimon and I aren't actually partners at all. My brother was the tamer in our family, not me. But I always tagged along to the Digital World with him, and that's where I found Tsukaimon. Her ear-wing was injured and she couldn't fly, so I patched it up for her. And since that day, we've been kinda inseparable."
Tsukaimon puffed her chest out a little, smiling proudly. "She can't get on the Trailmon without me, you know," she said. "So that makes me, like, extra important!"
As these conversations played out, the Ko-Gears would witness quite the surprising site. A white-furred gorilla was staring at the group, a hand pensively resting against what seemed to be a large purple arm cannon. Its eyes narrowed as Layla and her friends approached, and with every step they took it retreated further back into the treeline. It was as if it was forcing itself to keep a certain distance from the group, never letting itself be seen but never letting them stray out of its own field of vision. It was a very sound plan, but the ape failed to account for the Ko-Gears. Despite how much attention it paid to the rest of the group, it somehow completely failed to see the quartet.
After making a few retreats in this fashion, the ape leaped high into the trees. With its large, powerful feet it grasped onto a particularly sturdy branch, freeing up its hand to grasp onto its arm cannon. Once it had steadied itself in this fashion, it started to charge the arm cannon up. Only a soft glow, mostly swallowed up in the darkness of the Server Woods, could have tipped the group off to its presence.
Hopefully the Ko-Gears would get to warn their General about the upcoming threat soon. Otherwise, they would be faced with a barrage of lasers seemingly coming from out of nowhere.

Eleonora laugh even harder when the agumon interpreted the hi-five as display of love, some one was really desperate or didn't know how to interpret a simple gesture, , she then reply to Layla's comment about how much freedom the digimons hd while us humans have jobs and resonsabilities, something she really couldn't relate too, while of course she did had responsabilities and a very important mission now, when she was younger this wasn't the case.
"I honestly wouldn't know, I grew up with my grandparents and for them I was their special golden treasure so they pretty much gave me whatever I wanted and didn't let me work for anything, but that's a grandparent thing" She laugh a little. "And even when dad was at home we saw each other so little that we just wanted to have fun so again no responsabilities for me, it's gonna be a little tough now that I'm alone but I'm sure Gurren and Lagann will help"
How much will they help tho? After all it's not like she can take them out in the open to the human world there'll be a lot of questions, even using the excuse that they're drones was going to sound fishy, she then look at Tsukiko who brought the nice point of calling both spinny a little confusing, fortunately she already had an answer for that.
"Well, since both have different colors one can be Spinny Gray and the other Spinny Orange"
The converstaion follow as normal with the group still trying to think a way of retrace their steps in case of getting lost, Tsukiko and Mitusharu had a nice idea of keep track where they've been by marking the enviroment with the sword of the little dinosaur.
The Kunemon seemed interesting in the little gears and well their "army" bieng honest Eleonora doubted that a human and two gears can be consider an army yet and thinking of a name wasn't one of her priorities, maybe with more members on the group they can come up with something.
"Precisely, you can think of me as an explosive specialist, while my moves are similar to my other half I carry fire and explosives with them"
"While I'm more of regular fighter I'm capable of deplying a virus with my KoGears, as for the name of the army we still have not pick one"
"We still need to recruit more members to our cause, let say that the army is still on the blueprints as we need to make a lot of preparations"
"I wouldn't say I was lucky back then, being drop to an alien world two weird creatures come and scan you out of nowhere, I ran away and welp let's say that get in the middle of the street full of weird creature not a human in sight wasn't a nice way to start, I've never been so scare in my life, fortunately a man and his partner approach me and help me understand what was happening" Eleonora kept talking with Tsukiko about her first visit in the digital world, she then lookt at Roger. "I can agree a sting from you will hurt, I'm actually glad you're on our side" She commented trying to keep her calm attitude towards the centipede, he seemed like a good digimon she just have to shake her feeling towards bugs.
Ahead of the group minding their own bussiness of scounting the area were the KoGears, they float at a fast pace yet not fast enough to leave their 6 meter range from Hagurumon X and Solarmon X, they saw a lot of digimon in the area but none seemed dangerous but they surely send small reports to the main bodies every so often, one thing did call their attention making the four little gears stop in place, a pretty big gorilla like digimon carrying an arm canon and was aiming at the group yet with every step they took closer he retreated and went back to aim, that definetely was worrying, the eyes of the little gears started shining and started beeping sending the information to the main bodies, after that the quartet split to try get the ape by surprise, both KoSolar latched into separate trees near the one where the gorimon was in case he decides to climb down their explosions will get him, while the KoHaguru went a little ahead and latched together into the branches of anothe tree in case Gorimon tried to escape by jumping from tree to tree they'll get him with their virus.
Meanwhile with the group the gears will start "beeping" their eyes turning on and off like receiving some kind of morse code or a phone that got a message, Solarmon quickly went ahead and stood in front of Layla while Hagurumon went to the back both spinning their drills ready to defend the group.
"Mission has been compromised, an enemy has been spotted nearby up in the trees"
"Out KoGears are set to attack if it tries to escape but we aren't sure about a frontal attack, for what information they gave us it's a champion digimon armed with a cannon"

While Mitsuharu kept strategically marking the trees they passed by with his burning sword, he nodded at Morgan. “Yes. Don’t worry, I’ll slash them good enough. I’m also using my fire to let a burning mark on them, so it can’t be whipped away that easily.”
The rest of the group kept walking, telling stories about how they met their digimon. Hiroyo seemed not only not willing to deepen her tale but even changed the subject to avoid it. Still, Tsukiko knew better than trying to ask further about this. It wasn’t like it really mattered, for the optimal development of the task at hand. “I’ve taking some Trailmons inside the Digital World, but I've never used the one that goes from the Human World here. It must be an interesting ride.” Raising her gaze, the pink-haired mused about this matter.
So Tsukaimon was not actually Layla’s partner? “Wait… so you don’t have a digivice, Layla?” That only made everything more interesting, and the relationship between both of them more endearing. It was a really cute story. “I can see you two are great together. I’m glad you found each other.” Tsukiko showed a warm smile to the pair. It was almost like if they were exactly what the other one needed, and that was great.
“Thank you, Sensei. I think Tsukaimon and I are actually soulmates that got separated at born and it’s the twirls of destiny who brought us together to fulfill our love.” Mitsuharu, who had now incorporated back into the group, spoke with a matter-of-factly tone, nodding his head firmly, his eyes confidently closed.
“I was talking about Layla and Tsukaimon.” Tsukiko closed her eyes too, with a sort of angered expression, a vein almost popping out in her forehead. Again, Mitsuharu seemed to be ignoring his tamers’ comments that weren’t telling him what he wanted to listen. Being what he wanted to listen something like… that he was, in fact, Tsukaimon’s soulmate? The pink haired girl could only guess.
This little charade got interrupted by serious business. Gurren and Lagann announced there was some kind of threat lurking on them. “Quickly! Behind the trees!” Tsukiko exclaimed, asking for everyone to seek for protection behind the stems near them. The girl and Mitsuharu looked for cover, inciting the rest of the group to do the same. Once the direction where the enemy was at was clear, the Ashikagas would take an offensive stand. “Go look for him, Mitsuharu. We’ll take care of Layla and Tsukaimon.” The dinosaur issued a nod, to then turn at the Fanbeemon.
“Morgan, could you fly above the trees to raise their attention? They can’t shoot both of us at the same time. One of us should try closing in while the other one takes cover.” It was time for some team working.
Once the plan was clear, Mitsuharu would start running out of his cover towards the next tree, moving in the attacker’s direction, until he could get a clear sight of him, taking cover every time he could, and moving only when it was safe.
