It was a normal afternoon in the Miyashita Park, or at least somewhat normal. Tasha was sitting in a bench, with a lot of books next to her. She managed to finish her studies at the museum the other day, but she still had more to do. She was holding both her textbook and translation book, using the smaller book to translate the kana in the textbook. She was studying outside in the park and enjoying the nice sunny day. That and her little brother was playing games loudly with his friends and disturbing her studies. She looked down at her Tanemon, laying down on the soft grass and sniffing at the flowers on the ground. Tasha looked down at her digimon, smiling a bit. Maybe it was good thing that she's studying here.
Still, Tasha was having a hard time focusing on her work. So much had happened yesterday. She met a nice boy named Kevin in this park. They went over to the museum together, but he managed to find out about Pedra. After some persuasion, Tasha gave in and told him all about her digimon. Now he wanted to have a digimon of her own. Just when he said that, he got his digivice. They all went back to his house and an egg came out of his computer, just like what happened with Pedra. She wished that she didn’t leave so suddenly. He was a really nice guy to be around, and when it wasn’t sneezing out fire, his digimon was kinda cute. Oh course, she left him his number so that he could call her anytime. She looked back over at Pedra, still talking with the flowers in front of her.
Her and Pedra had their differences and tend to bicker sometimes, but then there were moments like this that she was glad to have Pedra around. She was slowly starting to think less of Pedra as a pet and more as a friend. Pedra hummed happily at the flowers, knowing that they enjoy it.
"It's so nice to finally be outside for once." said Pedra, the leaves on her head taking in the sunlight.
Pedra was humming at the small flower for a little bit. Then she noticed that it started drooping slightly. The Tanemon looked intently at the flower, trying to figure out what it needed. Pedra looked over at Tasha, who was still staring deeply at her textbook. She looked up at the sky and sighed. She was beginning to see Japanese kana in her mind, thinking that she just has to take a break. The hot sun wasn’t really helping matters much. She opened her purse and got out a bottle of fresh, cool water. Pedra smiled widely. That is just what her little flower friend needed. She hopped on a bench and tapped Tasha’s leg.
“Hey, Tasha. My flower friend needs some water. You think you can give me your water bottle so I can give it some.” Said Pedra.
Tasha just stared at her digimon. “Psh. No way. I need this more. Tell you little friend to wait till it rains.” Tasha said.
Pedra glared angrily at Tasha. There was no way that she would deprive her flora buddy on what it needed. The Tanemon hopped on Tasha lap, surprised the girl and making her accidently drop her water bottle. The water started pouring out of the bottle, making it run down to the flower. It slowly started be more upright now. Pedra saw this, making her smile.
“Heehee. Thanks, Tasha. ” said Pedra happily.
Tasha gave Pedra a very angry look, her mouth forming a scary snarl. It was the only water bottle she brought with her. Sometimes she really couldn’t stand that digimon of hers. Why couldn’t she get one that was nice and quiet, and not annoying?

Just when Kevin thought his life couldn't anymore boring, he has the most exiting day of his life. It all happened yesterday.
He had originally gone to the park to get out of the house and just relax. Before he left he found a golden pocket watch. That was a couple days ago.
Yesterday, he met a girl name tasha who he enlisted to help him do research on the watch. They went to the museum to do the research. Kevin some strange things Tasha was doing, and through constant curiosity, Kevin learned about digimon. She had a tanemon named Pedra. Kevin was jealous and wanted his own digimon. After admitting that he would always put the digimon first, the gold pocket watch turned into something special. Tasha had something similar and said it came with Pedra's egg. Thinking that his digimon might be at home, he rushed of and asked Tasha and Pedra to come with him. When he got home, after searching for a while, he almost face up. Then he has this crazy idea where he held the thing to his computer screen, and an egg came out. After Tasha gave Kevin some tips on how to hatch it, a baby Dragon digimon came out.
Kevin had fallen asleep with hugging the baby Dragon. When he woke up, it was still a baby Dragon, but now it looked different. Now it looked more like a sea horse. Kevin freaked out a little, the digimon stirred.
"Good morning Kevin" the digimon yawned.
"You...you just..." Kevin was awestruck.
"Spoke?" The digimon replied. "Yes I believe I did"
"That's so awesome!" Kevin cheered.
Kevin was about to call Tasha, but maybe they'll just surprise her.
Kevin looked at the clock 12:00pm it read.
"Do you want to go met up with Tasha and Pedra again today?" Kevin asked the digimon.
"Yes that sounds like fun!" The digimon exclaimed.
"Alright I'll call her to see if she's available" Kevin told the digimon.
Kevin searched for the number. When he found it, he dialed the number on his cell phone.
"Tasha?" Kevin asked. "Hey it's Kevin, are you free today?"

Tasha kept reading and studying her textbooks, she was slowly starting to calm down from Pedra’s stupid antics. She was starting to get a bit bored and felt that she needed a break. Why couldn’t they have books in English? It would save having to translate every word every second. She gave out a long sigh and laid her head on top of the books. Life has gotten so much harder since she moved to Japan. Her dad keeps telling her that things will get easier and she would learn the language, but she wasn’t seeing it yet. At least she had a friend like Kevin to help get through this.
Pedra was still speaking to the flowers, stroking them. She had been looking forward to coming to this sunny park all day. Feeling the sunlight in her leaves felt so good. She wouldn’t mind living here, though she would miss Tasha too much. She kinda wished that Tasha would be understanding to the flowers. Then she thought about Kevin and that cute baby digimon of his. She really wanted to see them again.
Suddenly, Tasha’s cellphone started to ring. She opened her purse and took it out. She can see that it was Kevin trying to call him. She smiled widely. She had been hoping that he would call back today. She pushed the call button and answered it.
“Kevin? Hey, boy. I’m glad you called. Yeah, I’m free. I was just taking a break from studying. Why do these Japanese people give us so much homework? Anyway, me and Pedra will be awaiting for you in the park.”
Pedra giggled and hopped on Tasha’s lap, looking up at her. “Heey! Is that Kevin on the phone? I wanna talk to him.”
Tasha glared at the Tanemon, holding her hand over the phone so that Kevin couldn’t hear. “Shut up. You can talk to him when he gets here.”
Pedra smiled. “Tell him to bring his cute digimon with him. I wanna play with him.”
Tasha rolled his eyes a bit and spoke to the phone again. “…Oh, and Pedra wants to see your digimon again. So when can you get here?

After Kevin heard the phone ring a couple times, Tasha picked up.
“Kevin? Hey, boy. I’m glad you called. Yeah, I’m free. I was just taking a break from studying. Why do these Japanese people give us so much homework? Anyway, me and Pedra will be awaiting for you in the park.”
"Well you know what they say about the Japanese people being geniuses and all" Kevin laughed. "Alright, we'll be there soon. Probably 12:15, 12:30ish. Alright see you later"
Kevin hung up the phone. He turned to his digimon.
"So do you have a name?" Kevin asked the digimon.
"Of course" the digimon replied. "My name is Babydmon, unless you want to give me a nickname?"
"Babydmon, huh?"
Kevin thought about a nickname, but decided against it. "Works for me, are you ready?"
Kevin remembered something. How on earth was he supposed to get it out of the house?! He was a little bigger now. Kevin tried fitting him into his backpack.
"Kevin, I don't think this will work" Babydmon said to Kevin as Kevin was uncomfortably pushing him in.
"This is just temporary, we'll find something better later" Kevin explained to the digimon. "Who knows, maybe Tasha will have an idea"
Kevin finally got the dragon digimon to curl up a little, and zipped his backpack almost all the way, just to give the babydmon air.
"I'm hungry" Babydmon whined.
"I'll grab some snacks from the kitchen, but you have to be quiet until we get to the park, understand?" Kevin asked Babydmon.
"I'll try" the digimon replied.
Kevin took some bags of chips, some bottles of water and juice, and some sandwiches from the kitchen. Thinking about how Pedra ate all of Tasha's food, Kevin gave babydmon a bag of chips to keep him occupied. Then Kevin started walking to the park. He heard a pop from his bag as the digimon opened the chips. Then some crunching. To distract from the sound, he opened a bag too. They finally got to the park, and saw Tasha and Pedra sitting on a bench.
"Hey Tasha" Kevin said cooly.
Kevin wanted to surprise Tasha with Babydmon.
Kevin set the backpack on the bench, then he opened it. The Babydmon came whooshing out.
"Tasha, Pedra, meet Babydmon!" Kevin introduced his digimon to his friends.

Tasha was getting quite bored with studying. She was glad that she got the call from Kevin. He said that he was going to be in the park around noon or so. It look like it was almost time for him to be here. Pedra ran around Tasha and the flowers a bit. “Kevin’s coming! Kevin’s coming! I can’t wait to see his digimon again.”
Tasha shook his head. “Calm down already. He’ll get here when he gets here.” She said to her digimon. She so annoying when she’s like this. In truth, she did wanted to see Kevin’s digimon again. Under a certain light, he could be pretty cute. Hopefully he wouldn’t breathe fire on her or something. Suddenly, they could see someone walking over to them. It was Kevin, and he was wearing a large backpack. Tasha got up from the bench and walked over to him, with Pedra joining in.
“Hey, Kev. About time you got here. What’s with the backpack?” Tasha asked, pointing at the backpack and Pedra running around Kevin.
Kevin put the backpack on the bench, making the two girls very curious about what was in there. Suddenly, just when he opened the backpack, something fast came out of it. When it landed, Tasha took a closer look at it. It more like a dragon seahorse thing. Kevin said his name was Babydmon. It must have been that baby dragon creature they saw yesterday. He must have changed just like Pedra did before.
Pedra walked around Babydmon a few times, smiling at him. “Aw. You grew up to be so big, didn’t you? Now that you’re here, let’s play a game together. That should be fun.”
Tasha went over to Kevin, smiling and shaking her head slight. “Well, at least we got her out of our hair for a while. So how’s it going? I was trying to get so studying down, but the pest over there wouldn’t leave me alone.” Said Tasha, pointing at Pedra.

"Hi Pedra" Babydmon said excitedly. "Yeah I grew up just a little. A game? sounds like fun!"
Kevin walked over to the bench with Tasha and they sat down.
"Other than the fact that last night there was a baby dragon and now there's a talking dragon seahorse thing, not much" Kevin replied. "Hey Tasha, any ideas on how I can my digimon in and out of the house with him being more comfortable?"
Meanwhile Pedra and Babydmon were playing their game. They laughed and fell onto the ground laughing. After they calmed down, Babydmon turned to face Pedra.
"So any idea where we came from?" Babydmon asked. "Or why we tag along with the humans? Not that I'm complaining, but... What is the purpose of it all?"
Babydmon thought that maybe he was being too deep. All Pedra seemed to care about is having fun. Deep down, Babydmon felt as if they had a destiny waiting for them. In his gut, he knew things would change soon. But how?

Pedra was just so happy to have a friend like Babydmon to play with. Tasha would never do fun things like with her. She hopped around a bit, cheering that her new friend would play with her. She and Babydmon would chase each other around the flower fields, playing tag. She was laughing and giggling, having the time of her life. She was very relieved that he didn’t breathe fire the whole time. Being a plant, she wouldn’t being caught on fire very much. Eventually, Pedra calmed down and tired out, laying right next to Babydmon. He was asking her where they might have come from and why they are with humans. Pedra tilted her head a bit. She never really thought about it before. She took some time to think about it.
“Hmmm…I just thought I was here to pester Tasha and get on her nerves. Heehee. But really…When I first met Tasha, I just kinda had a funny feeling. Like…I don’t know…We sorta meant to be together. Like I should protect her and take care of her, you know? Maybe that could be our purpose.”
It felt weird to talk to Babydmon like that this. She just wanted relax and play around, but maybe it was nice to think about this stuff too. Hopefully that help Babydmon out. Pedra hopped over to Tasha and Kevin, who were sitting on a bench close to them. Tasha was listening to Kevin, telling her about his problem of getting Babydmon in and out of the house easily. Tasha couldn’t help groan slightly.
“Aw. How should I know that? Isn’t the backpack enough?” she said.
Pedra hopped on her lap again. “Come on, Tasha. Help him out. Babydmon seems really uncomfortable in that backpack. I know I wouldn’t want to be in that stuffy purse you know.”
Tasha shook her head a bit and started to think a bit. “Alright alright…Maybe you can say that Babydmon is art project from school or something.”

Kevin thought about what Tasha suggested. Not a bad idea.
"How does that sound Babydmon?" Kevin asked his digimon. "You can bean art project! You'd have to be completely still though, ok?"
"Not sure what an art project is, but it's gotta be better than that stuffy backpack" Babydmon retorted.
"Alright then, now that that's settled, what do you want to do?" Kevin asked the group.
"I, personally, would like to find out more about where Pedra and I came from, and more importantly, why we are here" Babydmon replied.
"You know for a baby, you sure don't act like one" Kevin joked.
"That's because I'm not a baby anymore, despite my name" Babydmon explained. "I am a teenager in your human years, as well as Pedra!"
"So what you're telling me is all four of us are teens?!" Kevin said in disbelief.
"To put it simply, yes" Babydmon replied.
"That doesn't make sense!" Kevin said in confusion.
"It doesn't have to" Babydmon replied curtly.
The tension between the two was building. They were glaring at each other baring their teeth. Then it subsided, resulting in them turning away from each other in a huff.
"Let's not do this" Kevin said to Babydmon.
"You're right, this is silly" Babydmon smiled.
"Alright, so what do you guys want to do?" Kevin asked again.

Tasha was glad that Kevin like her idea of having his digimon pretend to be an art project, though it was just first thing she thought of in her head. After that, Babydmon was going about wanting to know where he and Pedra come from and why they are there. Just like Kevin, Tasha was surprised that a little creature that just hatched from an egg was thinking of stuff like that. Now he was saying that he and Pedra are teenagers. Pedra smiled over Tasha.
“That’s right. We’re teens too.”
Tasha shook her head with disbelief. “Come on. Do you really expect me to believe that?”
“Hmph. It’s truuue. ” said Pedra.
“It doesn’t make sense. I just found you as the egg the other egg.” Said Tasha, starting to get more annoyed.
“We just grow up fast. Just accept it~” chuckled Pedra, sticking out her tongue at her.
Tasha grumbled and pushed Pedra off of her lap. She hated when Pedra keeps messing with her. All this did was made Pedra laugh and hop over to Babydmon. Both of these digimon are strange and annoying, but deep down, she really didn’t want to get rid of them. It was just like with her little brother. Then Kevin asked what they should do next. Tasha was thinking about it. She just realized that she didn’t know about him too much. It would nice to get know him better.
“Hmm…Can I ask you something Kev? Do you have any brothers or sisters? I have one brother. I’m still trying to see who is more annoying.” After Tasha said that, Pedra, stuck her tongue at her again, giggling.

“Hmm…Can I ask you something Kev? Do you have any brothers or sisters? I have one brother. I’m still trying to see who is more annoying.” Tasha asked.
Kevin was not expecting this. He wondered if he should tell her, but then again, she told him a lot of stuff that she kept secret. Couldn't hurt,could it?
"I have a younger sister named Anna, she's 11" Kevin replied.
After he said that, he instantly thought about the car accident. He shut down. He started to frown. He felt like he was about to cry. It's been 9 years, why was he still upset? Especially since they're fine?!
"No offense, but can we talk about something else?" Kevin asked Tasha.
Hopefully he didn't have a tear on his face. That would be embarrassing.
Babydmon could tell Kevin was upset, he wasn't completely sure how, but he knew.
"So Tasha where are you from?" Babydmon asked.
He was a little curious, but he asked mostly to deflect the conversation. Hopefully Kevin wasn't feeling too bad.
Hang in there Kevin! Babydmon thought to himself.

After Tasha asked Kevin if he had any siblings, it seems like he was taking some time to think about something before he answered. That’s when he mentioned that he has a younger sister. Tasha thought he was so lucky. For the longest time, she wanted to have a little sister do stuff with. But instead, she had to have an annoying dork of a brother. Maybe she could meet this Anna someday. Of course, she would have to leave Pedra at home so she doesn’t freak out.
Soon, Tasha looked over at Kevin and noticed that he suddenly cramped up. He even looked like he was going to cry. She pretend that she didn’t notice that though. He hastily asked her to change the subject. It seems that she might have touch a nerve. She slowly nodded her head, looking a bit concerned. “Hey, it’s okay. We can talk about something else.” Luckily, Babydmon helped out and asked Tasha where she was from. This made her feel relieved.
“Well, I’m from California.” She said to the dragon digimon. Pedra hopped on Tasha’s lap a bit. “Ohohoh, Tasha told me all about that place. She said that it’s really sunny there and they got these trees called palm trees. I really want to go there and see the trees. You are gonna take me, right Tasha?” Tasha shook her head. “What? Why would I do that? You’re staying here.” “Aw. You’re no fun.” She pouted playfully. Tasha sighed and looked over at Kevin. “So where were you originally from?”

"Me? I'm a New Yorker" He said with a cheesy New York accent. Kevin laughed. He hoped that Tasha would find that funny. He was trying hard to show Tasha that he wasn't upset anymore. He was really glad that Babydmon had changed the subject to Tasha's life.
"It's funny how two people from opposite sides of the US both end up in Japan, isn't it?" Kevin asked.
"What city in California are you from?" Kevin asked. "I'm from New York City, it's so different from Japan"
It was good to get to know Tasha a little better. She really is a great girl. And the way the light reflects on her...
Wait... what am I saying?!
