"...So if she's just giggling to herself, wouldn't that be a reason to...I don't know, stay away from her?" As she spoke to Alpha, the girl began to think. Mao had definitely seen enough movies to know that approaching someone giggling to themselves was a bad idea. Though, she did seem to regard the Gazimon with a hint of...discomfort? Ire?
Maybe ire. "Seems like a case of bullying gone wrong. I'd have gone for just socking him. Either way...We're kind of in a city so of course you'd need to follow the law." That made sense to her. That made perfect sense to her. Especially since her head was clear for once.
What a miracle that they were with the cop...Singular. At least, that's what the samurai that seemed to scare the shit out of Vemmon appeared to be. After the Gazimon legged it, Mao glanced between everyone gathered and Tamamizu. She seemed like she just got put on the spot. "...If you count a spirit that claims to hail from 'nowhere' and also screams in your head exotic, I guess. I'm Mao. Kita Mao. Never been here before, either."
This day was odd.

He watched the Gazimon run the tail between his legs obviously very scared. "I think he won't be trying to do anything stupid for a while." Alpha then looked suspiciously at Tamamizu, still finding the foxy lady very weird as she gave weird kind of feeling. Alpha shrugged and nodded towards Tamamizu. "Hello, you can call me Alpha since that is what i am calling myself. I just happened to stumble here by accident and heard the guy, who just ran away scream out so i thought maybe someone was doing some bad stuff. So yeah i rushed here to see Tamamizu hanging around with that Gazimon." Alpha shrugged and looked around the place checking out other people and maybe what kind of people they were.

The Tactimon let the Gazimon go barely sparing him a glance as he surveyed the group once more with a sort of restrained, but amused tolerance. Dagger in his opinion had always been the more 'people person' per say then himself still the Mega politely inclined his head manners as ever intact. "Greetings all of you," He spoke before pausing in consideration of whether or not to reveal to them his name. Given that he was a local however, it was far too likely they would hear it from someone else making hiding it nearly useless in the long run.
"You may call me Cloak," He introduced himself after a moment, "If you wish to see the Market District I was about to make my way there to rendezvous with my partner. I do not mind escorting you." The Tactimon offered finding himself ill-inclined to leave the group to their own advances and wind up with another fight on his hands.
"That is if AEGIS has no ill intentions towards our good city." Cloak added his gaze level and steady upon Collin and Bellamy.

Luke was kinda unimpressed at the excuse that the Gazimon made. "Stealing of any kind is wrong though" he stated. Bellamy glanced at him and almost scoffed, thinking there were a few cases in which he'd commit theft. But doing it just for petty advantage, that was not such an excuse.
Well, they supposed the problem was solved when the strange fox digimon decided to let the Gazimon go. Hopefully he wouldn't try and do such a thing again, given how quickly he had been thwarted.
So, the fox digimon's name was Tamanizu. While odd, the fact that she had decided to give mercy to the Gazimon thief at least helped Colin and his partners realize she was probably an alright person, if not a little eccentric. They gave a friendly gesture at her.
Then there was the revelation that the Vemmon with them was actually a spirit wielder in their Sprite form. "Yeesh, I need to meet a few more of these guys" Bellamy remarked out loud to himself, a little abashed that he thought Vemmon was simply another digimon. Yeah, he knew that spirit wielders smelled a little different to standard digimon, the Impmon generally didn't lead with his nose and mainly used his eyes and ears. They greeted her too.
Next was the silver Dorumon, named Alpha. This one at least seemed to be a digimon, albeit with no partner. Not that it bothered them.
That lastly left Cloak, the Tactimon. Interesting name, Bellamy thought. And accurate, given the mask. He seemed to be heading to the Market district, so, Bellamy eagerly gave a look up to his partner and brother, hoping they'd go with that option now that it was given to them.
"Sure, that's alright with me" Colin said, shrugging. He would be intrigued to see what would be sold down here. Although the 15-year-old would likely refuse to buy something that he thought would make his parents outraged.
Luke shivered a little as it seemed that his slip-up wasn't un-noticed. Damn it! He needed to work harder than that! Their previous organization of PROFIT was fairly easy to explain, but with AEGIS, them attempting to sell themselves as "DATS-but-not-quite-so-horrible-to-digimon", that needed more tact than that. Fortunately Bellamy stepped in to save him.
"Of course, AEGIS has no beef whatsoever with stuff in the digital world" he said. "While we're here, we just wanna learn stuff so we can deal with somethin' like a bunch of Ultimate levels burstin' in and tryin' to make themselves King of Tokyo. Lot of people would die if we slip up, so, I assure ya, we're only here to see what's here, make no trouble, and hopefully just... get a feel for the place, ya know?". He paused, then added further. "Besides, we ain't here on official business, just our own curiosity playin' out".
The Impmon figured that Cloak would be suspicious of them no matter what he said, considering they were outsiders that admitted being part of an organization, so, coming clean with the whole thing seemed to be the best thing to say here.

Tamamizu honestly did like the attitude of some of these people... they were almost as eccentric as herself! Well, maybe not to the the degree of having conversations with yourself, but that was aside the point. The glasses-wearing girl was very unintentionally funny... at least to Tamamizu. She didn't get too see those often, so it was a treat to talk to one. "Oh, I believe thats normal all things consider. You have to find ways to entertain yourself I imagine when you have no physical form." the fox mused, placing a paw on her chin as her twin tails flicked about in excitement.
The Renamon X was not exactly versed on what this... AEGIS was not exactly an organization she had ever heard of, but it did appear to be some human-origin group. What was the name of that other one from long ago...? Her memory just was not like it used to be... Maybe since she kinda was juggling a couple dozen souls in one Digicore. Still, she couldn't help but become slightly... unamused at the idea of Digimon just invading human cities. "Not very smart Ultimate levels if they think conquest like that is a smart idea. Let me tell you this fluffy boy... There are only three categories of individuals who'd attack a city. One; a force of nature. Two; individuals who make Numemon look like geniuses. Three; those who have the power to actually back such a claim... but let me tell you this. For every individual with such strength and intent, there is another who will oppose them. And between you and me, its generally much easier being on the defense team than the offense team. At least from personal experience." the fox rambled, more than happy to offer a few nuggets of personal wisdom.
Evil came in many forms, but Tamamizu was not exactly the type that desired wanton destruction... it was both unseemly and generally suicidal in the grand scheme of things. She had seen many a fool march to their deaths because they got cocky... and even long after she too eventually joins the waltz of death, there would be more.
Nonetheless, the Rookie seemed ecstatic at Cloak's offer; the fox letting out another of one those giggly laughs. "Oh, perhaps! I'm still on the fence about moving here, but this is a rather warm welcome! A light in this shadow-y city if you will." she pluckily responded, accepting the offer before turning to the others. "It does appear that most of us are newcomers! Why not we have a little rendezvous with our stalwart protector over there? I promise, I don't bite ~"
Tamamizu did actually bite, but very infrequently. She just liked saying that because she knew she gave off that impression.

"Probably, but at the same time it's better if entertainment didn't involve getting grievously wounded, y'know. Or getting...Involved in trying to decide how to deal with a furry thief." Mao sighed and pushed up her glasses. Not the weirdest sort of company she's found herself in. But it was starting to get up there.
Especially when the fox started to ramble about the logic behind individuals attacking a city. Plus...She didn't quite know about the organizations being spoken about. Nor did she care. "Yeah, this is a nice city, but I still have a life to keep up outside of here..." Mao muttered, moving a little closer to Cloak...And away from Tamamizu.
Then, some trash nearby started to rustle, before an ethereal(?) pink head poked itself out of said trash. It made a few clicky noises, before...
"...Oh, are you people?" It sounded young. Like a kid. Mao looked at it...Then looked back at the present company. She mouthed, 'what.'

Alpha looked around the group of people while also listening to what Tactimon named Cloak said before nodding slightly. "I would, like to tag along to see this market place you are talking about. I probably won't have any money to buy anything but looking is never bad!" Alpha said before tilting his head a bit, having no idea what AEGIS was, so he just ignored that name, not paying further attention to it. "Will there be more digimons like that Gazimon? Or is not every digimon here like that? Will we also get swindled in the marketplace?" He asked curiously wondering if everyone living here was really like that, he could of course understand the greed others would have. Not that it made right for others to steal or do other crimes.
"We should be fine with you though, Mister Cloak!" Alpha looked up at the mega stage Tactimon as if his eyes were sparkling, wishing he could also already be at that stage and punish the evil doers with his strength. He of course wasn't going to mention this to the group or how he would exactly punish these evil digimons.

"There is a fine balance between freedom and safety. Be that as it may the city polices it's own." The Tactimon assured them his tone even as he eyed the pair from Aegis. No threat from the City of Night would rear it's head in the human world if the city itself had any say in it. All the same Cloak dipped his helmeted head in acknowledgement of their acceptance of his offer and motioning to the lot of them spun on his heel. His cape snapping with the sharp movement as the mega strode off. Taking care to pause every so often to ensure the lot of them did not get lost amidst the crowds as he lead them through the dizzying and maze like streets and back alleys. Gradually growing closer and closer to the looming shell of what looked to have once been an arena.
Until the group found themselves at it's gate peering in to see the large sandy battlefield had been converted from a place of bloodshed to a market. Rows and rows of tents and stalls made up lanes in the sand, the arena bedecked in cloths and flags strung from the bleachers to overhand the walkways. The air heavy with the scent of food, perfume, and exotic spices as various merchants hawked their wares. The Tactimon paused only a moment upon the threshold giving the group some times to accustom themselves before he strode forward his eyes picking out a singular figure within the crowds.

Bellamy raised an eyebrow at being called 'fluffy boy', but he, Luke and Colin listened to the strange fox digimon all the same. She made interesting points, but Colin had something to say in return.
"That's true in that they would be opposed..." he began. "But, nearly 14 million humans in a small area, most of which have never been in battle. If a digimon-human battle broke out there, lots of collateral damage. So we just hope to prevent something like that happening".
They were distracted by the strange pink head that appeared near Mao. Colin and his partners also stared, then turned to Mao. They shrugged, they didn't know what to make of it either.
Thankfully the Dorumon wasn't bothered by them now that they revealed themselves. Lastly, the Tactimon didn't react negatively to their explanation, and for that they were glad. "Glad to hear it" Colin said, bowing his head slightly to indicate he didn't mean to encroach upon this city's affairs.
Following that, the trio followed Cloak through the city, taking in their surroundings. Luke was a little nervous, while Bellamy was excited, he liked what he saw here. He hoped they'd come here more often, just the egalitarian feel down here felt awesome.
Then they came to the market area. Bellamy's green eyes were wide in awe. And Luke's blue eyes were as well, as soon as he caught sight of the machinery section. As an aspiring engineer, there were things he had only seen in textbooks before.
"Um... I'll be right back" he said, rushing toward the machinery section of the market. Bellamy sighed.
"Welp, guess I gotta stick with you, Colin" the Impmon said. "Let's check it out though... some of this stuff looks awesome!"
"Alright, Bells" Colin said, and walked through the markets, stopping when he or Bellamy found anything interesting. The Impmon stopped by a stall that had some arcane magic items on display. He was about to buy some kind of dark crystal before Colin called him over to a clothing stall, and the Impmon saw a smart casual button-up shirt that he thought looked perfect. The magic store salesperson scowled as Bellamy rushed over to buy it, immediately taking off his leather shoulder armor, put on the shirt, then re-equipped himself, his tail swishing with satisfaction.
"Dunno why you're so quick to buy clothes, Bells" Colin remarked.
"They're a statement, Colin!" the Impmon tried to explain, plucking at his indigo shirt, decorated with maroon dots. "As a human you'd understand, right?"
"Heh, alright..." the boy chuckled, waving off further argument. They'd continue through the marketplace, wondering what else was here. Hopefully some food soon, they were kinda hungry.

The human with the fluffy twins was an odd one... but not really perhaps. Humans with Digimon tended to be on the good-end of the spectrum, so it made sense they'd fight to protect their kind from the chaos of the Digital World when possible. "Ah... Yes, I suppose you humans are a tad fragile by our standards. Even an Ultimate level could cause serious damage, not even speaking of the dangers Mega levels or god-forbid a Super Mega." the Renamon X mused as she tilted her head in mild curiosity before gesturing towards herself. "Me of course, I preferred the more harmless fun terrorizing back in my day... all in good faith of course, but some people just cannot take jokes." Tamamizu reminisced wistfully, chuckling lightly as memories of whimsy, folly, and occasional malice passed by her.
It seemed that things will be rather exciting now with this little party that has been formed! She giggled softly at Alpha's comment on other potential hooligans... An innocent question, really! "Oh those kind of Digimon are everywhere darling. Not even the bright and gilded clouds of Luminas are exempt fron the presence of unscrupulous individuals willing to step on others to get a job done. Its up to you to keep yourself from being taken advantage of. Keep your wits and you'll be fine... Less you end up as loony as me!" the fox initially spoke in a calm and generally insighful manner... though quickly devolved into laughing fit before recollecting herself. "But no seriously. Don't ever be like me." she spoke rather bitterly before masking her face once more.
Deep down, she was not proud of who she was... but she was in no position to change this.
Venturing deeper into Tenebrous, the thriving marketplace was a delight to the eyes and senses. A lovely city... truly! As people grew slowly distracted by the varying sights, Tamamizu merely took to a more... watchful position. This WAS an interesting city, that was for certain... Perhaps it would be a worthy venture to dwell here? Of course, interesting sights were only the cherry on the sundae... The people were the true treat!
The Tactimon still had her attention somewhat, but so was the one individual that he had his eyes on. The Rookie-level fox curiously approached the samurai's side. "Friend of yours...?"

See, the literal moment anyone paid heed to the little pink roach in the trash, it very much got up and scurried away. Oh well. Mao sighed. There was a time for everything. Perhaps now she would do well with sticking with her...company. "Not just fragile. Anyone on that level would just...turn us into nothing." Okay. Tama was definitely kind of creepy.
No wonder Vemmon liked this person. Sheesh. The trek to the marketplace revealed what might as well be the biggest part of any city to Mao. Wow...Though her attention was swiftly stolen by the Tactimon that scared her spirit focusing on someone in the crowd.
"...Who's that?"
