MPC 58A: Best day ever

“Upon first bite, this variable has the texture equivalent to stuffing your palette with a wad of facial tissues, and yet it melts on the tongue within seconds to a pleasant overly saccharine flavor.”
The initial taste test inevitably (if a bit humorously) made the toothy rabbit recall the time Simba (as a young Koromon) swallowed and somehow choked down an entire box of tissues not realizing at the time that it wasn’t exactly considered sustenance by humans. Could it hurt him? Thankfully not. Did it taste good? Judging by his swallowed a lemon esque face at the time it was safe to say that was the last time she’d seen the dragon taste test processed paper product; in fact she was a bit surprised how much he was enjoying the cotton candy treat, assuming he’d have been traumatized by the experience of tasteless unappealing gluey slob ridden substance going down his throat which was probably equivalent to eating wallpaper paste - luckily her brother wasn’t one of those kids that ate glue or boogers or paint or anything whose purpose didn’t involve nutritional value. “Huh so it’s basically boiled sugar?”
Maybe he wasn’t the paint tasting type, but put sugar on an old smelly shoe and the dragon would probably eat it. “So yummy! If everything at Disney is this tasty we should just live here!”
Being she was no longer tied to a corporation meant that Talia could take vacation time generally whenever she wanted, but that was the learning curve with being your own boss - setting boundaries, having a sense of discipline, making sure not to slack off since there was no one there to scold you, etc. And with the complicated circumstances surrounding her verdict to resign from such a lifestyle, Talia would have been lying if she said didn’t miss the office life just a little bit. “Eh, I think there’s too many people for that to ever be considered comfortable.” Sticky heat, crowds drowned in body odor, and overpriced snacks weren’t exactly Talia’s forte (she’d much prefer air conditioning and showered people) but for these two she could handle it for a day, not unlike that parent who got dragged by their kids to see a cheesy cartoon film. “But anyway, what should we ride first? Anything goes!”
And luckily the twins were a bit too mature now to argue over who got to pick first, though that was more of Tohru being the alpha and Simba being the yes boy sibling if anything. “Hmm, how about that one?” Following Tohru’s point, the girl internally cringed
Ugh, of all the things to pick, it just had to be the damn Tower of Terror - not that it was scary persay, but Talia particularly disliked the sensation of free falling, say perhaps from all those damn times they’d been thrown off ledges and gone through rapids and whatnot in the digital world - oh these poor children had no idea what they were getting to - should she show them beforehand or let them be surprised? In this scenario spoiling the fun could be just as bad as (and not nearly as satisfying) leaving them in the dark about the ride’s uhhh, course of tactic? “Alright but don’t get scared okay? And if you do, don’t forget I’m right there with you.” See? Maybe teasing them was fun but she wasn’t all heartless! “Of course Talia, I’m not that scared when you’re with me!” Tohru, mature from the start had developed a deep bond of mutual respect with her human - they understood each other and worked together well with a close knit sort of kinship and because of her personality, the rabbit wasn’t all that clingy to the girl from the start though she’d surprisingly become a bit more open with showing her affection, mostly in the form of sitting on top of Talia’s head. Simba on the other hand had been a bit of clingy fraidy cat dragon mess when they’d first met - luckily he’d become a bit more brave for his own sake, but he was still very much codependent, treating Talia as a maternal security blanket sort of, but the blonde had never seen that as a bad thing - that and he looked kind of like a cute sleeping kitten when he was curled up in her lap. “I don’t like this, this is too normal.”
The plain looking elevator ride immediately gave Tohru a calm before the storm vibe, that this was indeed going to be a nerve wracking experience. “But I’m not like, scared or anything!” Guh, how did humans get a thrill out of these things? She would never understand their addiction to reenacting the sensation of adrenaline, but then again attempting to do so would force her to question their fondness for violent moving pictures and watching other humans fornicate on the internet and that was a puzzle best left to solve another day, a rainy one when it was too wet out to go enjoy Disney. “Don’t worry Tohru, you can hold my paw if you get scared, but I won’t ask you to hold mine, heh! Uh, w-what was that bump?” The elevator had started moving, bumping and shaking as it chugged to life like an old steam engine turned on after 50 years. “You’ll see soon!” Talia couldn’t help but feel a bit mischievous, if a bit excited knowing that these two were in for a serious surprise - having mulled over what to do earlier, she’d proceeded in a resolution by offering to show them videos of the ride to prepare them but they had enthusiastically declined, saying it would mess up the fun, therefore cementing her earlier theory, ah how she knew these two all too well.
“Aww, this is just like how we used to ride the elevator in your old office Talia - it, w-why’d we stop?” The rabbit’s ears practically turned cold with a frosty sort of apprehension as the bambumping ceased, as if she knew what was coming next, feeling her little digital heart do hpp skip palpitations just before the elevator car started to rapidly drop, making everyone inside scream including the twins who practically clung hug to eachother - it was an odd sensation - fear, and yet a satisfying sort of thrill as the car plunged down. “I’m not scared scared, everything will be okay as long as I’m with Talia and Tohru - aaaa!” The car had come to an abrupt halt, but it seemed to be far from over, the conjoined duo taking advantage of the grace moment to jump on Talia’s shoulders. “That was fun! Can we do it again?” The girl smirked a bit. “It’s not over just yet!” Again, the car began to plummet, and in unison, the three of them once again screamed. “Heh, guess a family who screams on the Tower of Terror together is one who stays together.”
