“Should we be concerned about this?”
The baohuckmon laid in the lush grass not unlike that of a great dane elongated with his legs stretched out in front of his body, enjoying the warmth of the sun as a quiet breeze made his red cloak occasionally billow and ruffle. However, the solemn faced white haired female in front of him resting on Andiramon’s lap was much more of a concern to the dragon at the moment then a few wrinkles in his cape. “Overall she appears to be fine physically, but my guess is that she’s going to be mourning her old sense of self until she emotionally adjusts to life in this new form.” Looking at the sleeping form of his human, what his older sister had just said processed in Simba’s mind as a much more simple worded paradigm - basically, she was going to be really sad for a while until the events of recent mulled over.
“The best we can do right now is to be here as moral support.”
And protection of course but that was a given in any scenario. Now, let it be known that Tohru was never one to lie to her brother, but in this case call it an omission for his own sake, at least for now anyway - the peaceful morning, the relaxing atmosphere - the deva rabbit would not ruin it by reminding her brother of the possibility that their partner might never be the same again & risk upsetting him and the mood of the day. “Without a doubt.” Getting up, the dragon did a bit of a roller coaster stretch to wake up the lactic acid in his digital muscles, padding over to give the girl a gentle lick on the cheek before going to take a drink of water from a nearby pond, that was until several green-yellow heads floated up from beneath to the waters surface. Spurs of electrical charge menacingly sparked from their red fins.
“Go away dragon! This is our pond.”
Interrupting his thirst quenching were three very unfriendly looking Modoki Betamon, of which Simba only glanced at with skim interest, getting the vibe that the rookies were actually more afraid of him then he was of them - not that lower level wild digimon with subpar electrical power probably barely strong enough to toast bread intimidated his champion level self in the least bit. “I just want water, besides you fish are a meat-vegetable, not worth eating at all for my carnivorous self.” And with that, the red cloaked quadruped quietly returned to his comrades, leaving the trio of fish to ponder just exactly what a meat-vegetable was.
“You’re awake!”
He’d returned to a much more hopeful sight, of Talia (who’d both amusingly and impressively watched her partner sass off those aquatic digimon) sitting upright in the tall rabbits lap laughing a bit as the doe stroked her head with its massive paw. “And your licks are ticklish Simba!” The dragon blushed a bit from the childish teasing, sitting on his haunches with an aura of embarrassment. “I was just checking on you, n-not that I was worried or anything…” Reaching out to pat the top of his head the woman slid off the rabbits lap, hissing a bit which incited a stiffness of concern in both digimon. “I’m fine I promise, just a little sore, trust me!” Glancing up at the bunny, a lightbulb seem to go off in the girls head as she motioned Tohru down, whispering something in her ear. “Whoa, you can see everything from up here!” The picturesque view from the top of the andiramons head was like something from a calendar, with the top of the green trees in view as well the buildings in the distance, as the baohuckmon quietly watched over his family from afar.

"FOOLISH FISH! Little do you know that in just a few mere moments, I'm gonna pass an edict banning you all from Anzutopia!"
Those poor Modoki-Betamon were soon set upon by...a single Tsukaimon, floating in the air with her front paws clasped together as though she were about to do something to 'em. The energy she was giving off was incredibly sinister. Until...
"Anzu, knock it off. You're freaking the toads out." The voice of Amaya Akemi sounded off as she came to the pond, observed the fact that these fish were now even more confused, tilted her hat and yawned. For no real reason. "...But...I gotta do it to 'e-"
"No, you don't. Seriously, how come you're so set on doing that dumb pose from a few years ago in front of people?"
"Because I think it gives off some menacing vibes!"
"...It looks stupid."
Yep, this was an argument to interrupt scenic hill-viewing. How rude of these people.

Resting his head in the grass, the dragon lifted his head at the sound of the racket banter, glancing in the direction in which the modulation had originated to see what looked a human girl arguing with a chubby purple flying hamster, a tsukaimon by the looks of it. They didn’t look dangerous by any means but Simba couldn’t help but be curious in a childlike way of what “Anzutopia” was, was it a theme park like Disneyland or a city in the digital world they had yet to discover? He glanced over at the girl and large rabbit who were yards off in the distance, wondering if leaving his post would be a threat to their safety - then again andiramon’s power as an ultimate far surpassed his so what real reason was there to worry?
“Anzutopia? Where’s that? Is that like disney world?” The words of curiosity left his lips as he padded up to the duo before settling on his haunches again like a very large puppy inquiring about milkbones. “I’m Simba by the way!” He glanced at the modoki betamon out of the corner of his eye, noticing that they looked suspiciously frightened which made him ponder what this little guinea pig had done to them - he knew Tsukaimon weren’t know for being nice digimon but they weren’t known for being weapons of mass destruction either. “Hey it’s that dragon again! We told you to scram!” Simba could only guess that these frogs had had some bad experience with predatory dragon digimon which was the reason for their hostility - that or his kind wasn’t commonly seen here. “And I told you that I don’t like fish, nonetheless, if you really want a fight…” The dragon opened his metal mandible full of jagged teeth, brewing a fireball inside. “Retreat! Told you he was gonna eat us!” They disappeared beneath the surface once more, leaving Simba to dissipate the flame on his palette.
“Simba? You’re not getting into mischief are you?” If one were to follow the voice of the human, they would have looked up past the legs of a very tall red eyed bipedal rabbit who was currently carrying a silver-white haired female on her shoulder, the rabbit crouching down as to shorten the communication distance. “O-of course not! I was just checking on things, you know, keeping an eye out for you!”

While Anzu was immensely grateful that she had help in causing these FEEBLE FISH to disperse, she was hit with a question that mildly confused her, largely because she didn't know what a Disney World was. "...Hi Simba, I'm Anzu, what's a Disney World?" She was actually pretty amazed that the fish just scrammed like that.
Akemi peered towards the voice that definitely sounded humanoid, only to be confronted with an Antylamon and a silver-haired girl. "Oh, hey, twins." She commented, adjusting her hat. "Hi, sorry about my partner. She's...a bit eccentric. And trying to establish some Anzutopia place..."
It was pretty annoying. Anzu, meanwhile, flew a little closer to Simba and examined him. Visibly. "...Oh, a BaoHuckmon. I've not...met one of you before. I wasn't expecting that to change. Nice cape." The bean told Simba, before she flew up to Tohru. "And an Antylamon...Cute!"
Was she taking this seriously? Maybe not.

“Why, only one of the funnest places to go in the human world - wait Talia what exactly is Disney World again?” All he knew was it had rides, tons of yummy food, characters who kind of scared him, and a parade he’d apparently slept through because he’d eaten far too much sugar and crashed. “Think of it as a...mega digivolved amusement park.” Granted that was the first amusement park the twins had ever visited but it seemed to click in Simba’s head after all? “Yeah that, a big amusement park!” Talia laughed. “No worries! She’s absolutely precious, mine are two of a kind more often than not, sometimes too much for my liking - sometimes it a blessing and sometimes it’s a curse.” At first she’d seen it as a pain in the ass because it seemed everyone she knew got one and she got two as if some higher power wanted to give her double work like she didn’t work enough - but now they were a Trifecta that even tragedy couldn’t pull apart it seemed. “I’m Talia by the way! And this is Simba and Tohru.”“And you’re a tsukaimon, I think I maybe met one of you once before in my old life, I bet it’s fun you can fly! Thanks, my sis has one too when she’s in rookie form.” Speaking of which, a pop sound was heard and down gracefully dropped a petite rabbit from where Antylamon had been sitting. “Well that was embarrassing, but I can’t stay in my ultimate form for a long time yet unfortunately since its a recent acquirement.” The silver-white haired girl patted the top of her head. “There there, these things take time.” Reaching over with one of her long ears the rabbit reached out to shake Akemi’s hand. “I’m Tohru, the one who keeps these two out of trouble.” Talia glared. “And you and your brother are usually the ones causing it!”

"I thought the Human World in general was the funnest place to go to in the Human World. But I guess that...hm." Anzu got caught in some thought again. She hadn't been to a park. She had no real concept of what the Disney World even was. But she felt like she could understand what it was. What it could be. What it could entail.
Though, the Tsukaimon quickly found herself blushing in embarrassment over being called precious. "Hey, watch it! I'm trouble!" She retorted towards Talia, something that prompted a chuckle from Akemi. "...Huh, I thought I was the only one who thought that way." The girl said, before she realized she should introduce herself. "I'm Akemi. Anzu...already introduced herself."
Huh, Simba knew another Tsukaimon once? ...Interesting. "Hope it wasn't me because man, that'd be weird! And yep, these things do take time. I end up breaking into places more often than causing actual trouble, though." Anzu seemed to be smirking at all of this. Why?

“Oh without a doubt - it can be kind of scary, but I’m trying to be more brave!” He still didn’t like the sound of cars though and the hoards of noisy people on the street or the loud horn that the train made, but those were sources of discomfort in the nails on a chalkboard way more than they were actual fear. “A while back, when I was a hackmon a Dokunemon tried stealing from us and because I got scared they almost won, so now I’ve sworn not to be cowardly anymore...except maybe with scary movies.” Lets just say after Jaws he’d refused to get near a bath for three days. “I’m sure you are, but the real question is do you mind being petted?” She’d always had secretly a soft spot for those who were small and cute and cuddly, three adjectives that described the purple guinea pig perfectly. “If not I don’t mind, Tohru doesn’t really like them either.” Granted that hardly ever stopped her from hugging the bunny, but she tried to respect the hare’s personal space at the same time by not going overboard with snuggles. ”Not at all, especially when their personalities are so vastly different; I kinda like the individuality though. Nice to meet you Akemi, what brings you out here out of curiosity?” This area, while not far from Terminus, didn’t seem to have a high foot traffic hence the inquiry. Simba thought about it for a minute. “Could be, but I’m not sure, all I remember is that I lived in a big house with other digimon for most of my life, and I had a dad before that I think, but I don’t remember anything about him.” Everyone had a dad and mom right? So it was probably just overthinking on his part. “Breaking into places?” Now Tohru was curious. Akemi & Anzu

"Bravery, eh?" Anzu tilted her head (or tried to, the limitations of being a Tsukaimon included tilting your head equating to tilting your WHOLE BODY,) "I think that's...actually pretty admirable. Good job, Simba." Anzu hadn't seen much in the way of horror movies, but...She felt like she wasn't very scared of them. If at all.
The Tsukaimon locked eyes with Talia. She was staring an impossibly serious stare into the woman. "...I mean I don't mind but why would I be something to be petted?" Basically, yes, but why? Then again, Anzu was a notoriously self-loathing creature. As for Akemi...Why she was here? "Trying to keep Anzu out of trouble--she's taking a break from some things over in the Dark Area. Uh...Also she wants to establish a bean utopia."
She was unsure how much of that the bean was serious about. Anzu then tapped her chin a bit. "...I don't remember too much. Just bits about the end. Last time I hatched it was in front of Akemi and some angel boy that smelled nice." She looked to Tohru. "...I mean, they left the door open both times so...they had it coming. Then again, the tapirmon needed to get out more, and the Veedramon was really nice and gave me food and stuff." Totally.

“Heh, thanks.” The dragon blushed. “Because if I become more courageous I’ll become stronger and then I can protect Talia and Tohru better!” It was such a simple, yet important cause to him, possibly because of the recent events in Bad Requests last case. “Well to be frank, because you’re adorable of course, and all adorable things should be acknowledged as such, and humans use petting as a way to do so.” Talia said as she gently scratched the purple beans back, going back and forth between pets and scratching. “What’s the Dark Area? Sorry, while I’m not that new here, the three of us haven’t had a chance to explore out too much.” It sounded sinister off the bat, and yet Talia was almost disturbingly curious. She could see why someone would describe the tsukaimon as a bean, but to her they looked more like a guinea pig or hamster with wings, but far cuter and much less smelly and bitey. “ I remember hatching in the village of beginnings with Simba and everyone was looking at us I guess because twins aren’t a recurring thing, but I didn’t like that, I get uncomfortable when others stare at us.” Tohru had never minded that she didn’t look like most lopmons, that her teeth were meant for chewing meat and that her fur was not as soft as a standard leporids was, or that she had to be careful not to scratch others with her nails. What she didn’t like however was the ones who looked at the two of them like they were a pair of abominations . “And then something pulled us to the human world one day, and Talia found us trying to get food in a vending machine - well Simba.” “It was your idea!” “Because you were the one with limbs in baby form!” She swore humans built those things like tanks. "Someone once told me there's several steps to becoming stronger. Bravery's a central part of those steps, though I...uh. I can't remember them right now. I hate that."
There was no way Anzu was going to beat around the bush with Talia, even if she was being petted right now. "Mmmm...It's basically what you humans call Hell. Desolate place filled with dark and sinister individuals. Also some of the most honorable people I've had the chance of knowing."
Akemi meanwhile took the time to listen to Tohru. "Twins aren't...recurring? Huh...I didn't actually know that. Sorry to hear about that discomfort, though, Tohru. And...That's honestly the least awkward introduction anyone can have to their partners. Then again, Anzu and I got chased by a Blossomon when we met..."

“It is annoying isn’t it? When you mind wants you to remember something and it’s there but your memento can’t seem to pull it out!” The rabbit had spoken up this time instead of the dragon, who’d started to ponder if a memento was a candy, had something to do with the brain, or both. “Do you think we ever played together Tohru? Like as in when we had different lives? Do you think we played with Anzu?” He looked down at her with an utmost, if anything childlike curiosity, sprawling down laying flat so he could be level with her, and even though the rabbit wasn’t completely sure, his puppy like eyes were too much for his sister to say anything but, “Of course we did! And heck, you of all digimon probably were even more annoying than as opposed to now Simba!”Up until now, Talia had been hiding the fact she’d started to feel weak, tired if anything and a bit woozy at that, as if she was stuck on a ship going over steep frequent waves - she’d never really been a fan of boats - for her senior class celebration the high school had rented out a boat for the party and she’d spent most of it outside away from the sticky dancing crowds, with the fresh air slightly relieving her urge to be seasick. “Huh is that so? I’d definitely believe it since I’ve kinda come to find that dark doesn’t always necessarily mean evil or bad. In fact, you could say that philosophy applies to my line of work!” Her tone was enthusiastic, if at all proud. The rabbit shrugged. “They could be, it’s just you don’t specifically see a dragon and mammal digimon be born as twins very much was what I meant, which adds to my theory that there was a...third party variable involved in our conception.” There had to have been right? “Nobody chased us, but there was a time we found a gigantic Numemon living in the basement of Talia’s office building that scared us!”

"Yes, it...really is. I want to remember more. I want to piece more together but I can't and it SUCKS." Anzu sighed. Though, Simba's inquiry towards his sister did get her thinking. How come these two seemed...familiar? The Tsukaimon put a small paw to her chin. "Maybe..."
How come those times were so fuzzy for her? How come every memory she could think of regarding the past few lives was so fuzzy? Meanwhile, Akemi gave Talia a series of nods. "Yep. I mean, if Anzu can be a good person, then dark can't always be bad, right? What would that third party be, if I can ask?"
Theories were always fun to hear. Perhaps this one would be no different. Anzu, meanwhile tilted her head at Simba. "...While a giant pile of poo is pretty bad, uh...Akemi almost got...eaten by the flower. I'd rather not divulge more."

“Well humans have this whole saying about how a ‘watched pot doesn’t boil’ - you know, like when you cook macaroni or something but it doesn’t literally mean that - it means that something you want to happen to happens when you’re not paying attention I guess?” Great, now Tohru wanted some macaroni and cheese - at first the odd orange color of the food was a bit of a turn off, but the taste was good that she’d practically forgotten about the unusual appearance in seconds. “So maybe when you least expect it, it’ll come back to you?” Just like how she’d least expected to enjoy mac and cheese? “Unless you burn the macaroni first!” Leave it to Simba to chime in with humor. Talia nodded. “Besides, sometimes it’s the ones who preach over and over about being devoted to justice who end up being the most corrupt - everyone has their own philosophy on what’s ‘good’ and ‘bad’ I guess.” Because how many times in fiction had someone thought blowing up the world and starting from scratch was being the good guy? “I like to think it’s not as black and white as that, and I think that tends to be the issue when it comes to taking a side, that people can’t ever see in between.”
Touching one of her long ears for a second, the rabbit pondered how to answer Akemi without coming off as too morbid, but she had, unfortunately or fortunately, had a tendency to be better at being practical than flowery. “It’s hard to say, but I’d say either some kind of tragic death or accident where we were deleted together would be the only solution.” The silver haired tamer petted the dragon, who suddenly appeared a bit confused as to what his sister meant. “But now you’re both here and safe so that’s all that matters! Besides, for we all know Tohru could have just wished for a baby brother but she doesn’t want to admit it.”

"...I think I understand what you mean, kind of. Sort of." Anzu replied towards Tohru, seeming to require a bit of a moment to...actually process this. "Perhaps it will, perhaps it won't. I just hope it does for the sake of...well, having it all come back, you know?" Anzu snickered at Simba. What a funny guy, eh?
Akemi meanwhile gave a nod to Talia. "That's the thing, it's not as black and white as some make it out to be, but every time someone comes in with that black-and-white morality, they end up presenting it like it's the only way to actually do things. Nobody seems to be able to see between or the benefits of seeing both sides."
"Right, I won't...pry further, then. Don't wanna give you two a headache, after all!" Akemi told Tohru, before she went over to join Talia in petting Simba. "He's a good baby brother, I'm certain of it."

“Don’t be ridiculous, Talia’s never burned anything so how would you know what burned macaroni tasted like?” Then again the dragon seemed to always eat so fast it was a wonder he knew the actual taste of food at all. “Maybe not macaroni, but I have tasted your cooking Tohru.” Hmmph, as if he knew what anything besides pork cutlets tasted like. “And I’m sure it will! For me it wouldn’t really matter either way - would it be interesting to know? Definitely, but these days my duty is to take care of these two more than anything else.” And it was a job she wouldn’t trade for the world. “Especially more recently, because....” While chit-chatting with the purple guinea pig, the rabbit had noticed Talia looking a bit paler than usual and from there on she noticed the symptoms spreading into clamminess and trembling legs, all of which the woman did not seem to feel just yet. “That would be why.” Talia meanwhile nodded her head in agreement to what Akemi was saying. “Nah, that would require humans not being entitled egotists, which sadly isn’t something we’ve evolved out of yet.” It brought her back to the days as a programmer when she’d have to ask the art department to change something in the models for it to be easier to code and would have the time be met with a stubborn refusal because you can’t alter ‘good art’. “Nonsense, you’re not prying at all, these two can talk somebody’s ear off if given the chance.” She never had to worry about them being shy, that was for sure! “The best.” Simba was so happy to be receiving multiple pets that he rolled over onto his back like an oversized pekingese, the smile on his face never leaving until a woosh sound pulled his attention to the side, only to see his human falling back as she collapsed, it being broken by a quick moving Tohru, who now held the form of a human sized rabbit dressed in Chinese style garb. “I have you, and I won’t let anything happen.” And while Simba was highly concerned, he somehow wasn’t...surprised that this had happened? While not the brightest tool in the shed at times, a part of him had known all along that the body transfer was too simple to not have some degree of complications. “I suppose we should explain that.”
