Obsessively trying to tear that fuzz that still clung to its body, Arkadimon struggled to keep up the pace of the fight… It had wasted its ace-in-the-hole, and the lifesteal-ing effect its attacks had in no way could keep up with the onslaught. There really was nothing the pink demon could do as they winced at Skadi prepping another attack… the sheep tearing the very earth around them, causing the Rookie to for a moment stumble helplessly before being slammed by a sudden pillar of stone that jettisoned out of the ground at full-force.
It wasn’t dead yet. It was clear that as the insectoid demon was knocked up into the air and unceremoniously landing back on the ground that it was heavily-injured… one of the pincer-claws on its right arm had actually snapped clean in half, it struggling to get itself up.
It was between a rock and a hard place… somewhat literally. Were it a more cowardly creature, it would have absolutely tried running off and plot its revenge for later. The toll of the fight though was too much for it to handle… Whatever semblance of logic and reason had faded away into a primal rage.
If it was gonna die, it wasn’t going down without making this chick suffer. It realized now that it was outmatched, but that didn’t mean it couldn’t try for one last gutpunch… it turning its attention to Kenny one last time in a deathglare.
It wasn’t able to move much, Arkadimon was a sitting duck frankly… the damage from Skadi’s attacks had left it exhausted and sluggish, but it managed to rear back its remaining pincer towards Kenny before stretching the limb in a unnatural fashion quickly in another attempt at stabbing into him. No, this wasn’t going to help it win the fight… but it would make it feel a little better if it could kill someone.
At least there was a bit more a delay with it trying to attack Kenny… it was pretty clear to anyone that this fight was almost over!
Arkadimon manages to get the rest of that fuzz off itself, but was hit hard by Spiral Pillar. Severely damaged, they try to go for a Erase Sickle on Kenny out of spite.
Erase Sickle - Arkadimon attacks with one of the sharp scythe-like pincers it has, aiming to cleave at their intended victim.

As the pillar rocketed up from the ground all of a sudden, and sent Arkadimon flying, Skadi looked on with pride, believing she finally downed her dangerous adversary as it hit the ground with a sickening crack and watched as it's right claw was snapped clean off, like a elephant sitting on a twig, letting out peals of relieved laughter, sweat beading her forehead, as her adversary lay, seemingly knocked out. Kenny forced himself to watch as the resulting carnage happened, watching a little in worry.
As the pillar retracted into the ground, his fears gave way to a sense of relief, as, despite his pain, he let out small chuckles himself. As quick as he could, he ran over to where Skadi looked at her supposedly downed adversary, quickly bringing himself down on his knees, to Skadi's level, and wrapped his arms around her, happy tears streaming down his face. She could feel him trembling a little bit.
"Skadi... you... you did it!" Kenny said, squeezing his partner in a quite tight hug, "I can't believe it. You... actually managed to beat this thing..." Skadi could feel the teardrops hit her on the forehead, but as much as she wanted to reassure him, that when she meant she would do anything if it meant her friend was safe from harm, her focus was directed onto Arkadimon, who, unbeknown to Kenny had managed to pull itself back up again, it's gazed focused on him and him alone. If looks could kill, then Kenny and Skadi would be dead in an instant.
This thing just outright refused to die.
Quickly, the lamb nudged her partner with her elbow, "Not quite yet. Look!" She pointed to the blighted bug slowly shuffling up to them. He let go of his partner, and tried to pull himself up again, but it was a little too late.
Without warning, not even mustering whatever energy it had left to make one of it's screeches, it leaned back it's unbroken claw, before thrusting at him again, ready to go in for the kill. Before Kenny could say or do anything, he felt his friend try to push him away.
"Kenny, get out of the way!" She screamed. She pushed her friend onto the ground, in a bid to save him from getting stabbed. However, she started to feel her blood run cold as Arkadimon slashed him on his untouched side on his torso, another tear on his already ruined shirt giving way to another nasty wound, this time a little larger than when it stabbed him. He yelled in pain, slowly devolving into painful sobs, while Skadi looked on in horror. "Kenny, I- I'm so sorry! I... I..." At this point, something in her just snapped.
Despite the fact that at this point that her data had long been restabilized since being hit by Soul Absorption, her body trembled with pure boiling anger. One could easily see the tears streaming from her hidden eyes, and she breathed loudly and heavily, her gaze turning towards Arkadimon once again.
"...how dare you..." She whispered, a tone of anger hidden in her voice, "...how dare you do this..." She clutched her fists tightly, like if she was trying her hardest not to resist the urge to just walk over there and tear Arkadimon into a million pieces where it stood, "...to my friend... you will pay... ...dearly... for this... Arkadimon..." She spat that final word out at the bug, letting it know that whatever it just did, she would make sure it regretted it, regretted it's very existence, rued the day that it ever decided to attack the 2 friends.
Stepping back a bit and looking at Arkadimon dead-set in the eye, she breathed in again, before calling out her attack. "ECHO BLEAT!!!" This time, the shockwaves were ferocious and passionate as she let out her signature bleat. She wanted to make sure that Arkadimon felt the full extent of her anger. Make it regret ever fighting her, and make it regret ever getting a sense of pure sadistic joy from even thinking about hurting her friend.
Kenny avoids getting stabbed by Rookie!Arkadimon, but is slashed at his sides instead. Skadi, in a fit of passionate anger, uses Echo Bleat on Arkadimon.

Arkadimon was bloodthirsty… It didn’t care who it could kill, at this point it wanted both Kenny and Skadi dead. It was being mocked for the last time… Though for a moment the human dropped his guard, that damn ditzy sheep got him out of the way enough that only a nonlethal gash was carved into his skin. Hardly even enough to coat its still-working pincer in his blood.
Still… hearing that sorrowful scream of pain was soothing to the demon’s metaphoric ears. It didn’t even care it wasn’t a kill, it just wanted to see them hurt. Even though Skadi herself was mostly in good shape, it felt good seeing her suffer.
That unfortunately for it was not going to let it win this fight.
The Valaismon’s sorrowful bleat carried a clear message amidst the destructive shockwaves that it emitted… Nothing was being held back now. Arkadimon hissed in pain as it braced against the attack, bits of the creature’s skin peeling off to reveal an untextured wireframe… an agonizing screech from the Rookie level as the sound waves buffeted its weak and injured body before it was unable to keep itself together.
By the attack’s end, the Arkadimon’s body was destroyed... reduced to its core components of simple fragments of white data that floated in the air harmlessly, ready to make a pilgrimage back to the Digital World to be reborn if left untouched.
Arkadimon takes lethal damage from Echo Bleat, they being deleted and reduced to data.

As the bleats rocked the air once again and stripped Arkadimon of his flesh, stripping it to mere wireframe before destroying it entirely, leaving nothing but data in it's wake, Kenny struggled to get up, still shedding a few tears and wincing in pain. Despite Arkadimon's heavily weakened state, and the fact the gash it left wasn't going to leave any permanent damage to his wellbeing, it still hurt like hell. It was going to take quite a bit.
How Skadi could be so resilient and seemingly shrug off that slash earlier like if it was a mere scratch was probably never going to be answered.
Skadi watched as the data started to drift away with the wind, and something started to pang her. Normally, this would be against her moral code. After all, absorbing a Digimon's data entirely prevented their rebirth, and she, like many Digimon, considered it wrong. After all, why deny something another chance at life? But Arkadimon was different. It and it's same-named kind were dangerous creatures that could absorb others data without a second thought, and letting this thing hatch at the Village of Beginnings once again, absorbing all the Digimon on sight and turning into a nigh-unstoppable Godlike entity if left unchecked?
That was something she wasn't going to risk. She breathed heavily. This may feel wrong to her, but if it was to save countless others, and not risk this happening again, she had to do it. For everyone's sake, for her friend's sake, and especially for Cherrymon and Swanmon's sake.
Slowly, she started to absorb Arkadimon's loose data entirely, a few tears still streaming down her as she did so. Already this seemed this mere action was eating away at her soul, but she quietly was reassuring herself as best as possible. I know this may seem hard on you, her thoughts echoed, but you know sacrifices have to be made. Others may accuse you of murdering another Digimon, but think of the countless others you may be saving.
Finally, it was all gone. All that was left was Kenny and Skadi. The former only managed to open his eyes slightly, but the only sight greeting him was just of Skadi. Arkadimon was completely dead and gone. So why weren't they celebrating? Tears still streamed from the young man's eyes, as the pain echoed throughout his entire body.
"Kenny, don't- please don't cry." Skadi was choking up a bit herself, "Arkadimon's gone. It won't hurt us anymore. It's OK." She rubbed on his arm in a bid to calm him. It didn't work. He was still crying in pain. "He- here, I can fix you up." She doubted that, but if it was to keep her partner happy...
"Cotton Spores." She announced a little more quietly. This time, instead of an influx of cotton spreading everywhere and covering Kenny, a small amount homed in on the open wounds, quickly covering them up. It probably wasn't going to heal him instantly, but she could do what she can. The cotton slowly absorbed the blood, covering the wound and preventing possible infection.
Despite all the pain, Kenny could only smile and mutter weakly, "Th- thank you, Sk-Skadi."
Skadi could only respond back with "My pleasure. Remember, I'm your partner, I'm supposed to protect you from harm." She felt a little more calmer now, but she only looked down sadly as she added, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you very well today. I guess I was a little caught up and-"
"Are y- you kidding me, Skadi? You were amazing back there..." He attempted to reassure his partner, "I honestly didn't think you'd be able to do it. But then you digivolved, and you fought him and you did great out the-" Skadi put a finger on his mouth to shut him up quickly.
"You did great, too. If it wasn't for your interventions earlier, we wouldn't be here right now. And Arkadimon might have laid waste to Shibuya unhinged." With a smile, the mammal Digimon added, "You should be proud of yourself for what you did today. Like I'm proud of having an amazing Tamer, and friend, like you." Like her Tamer, she leaned down on her knees, and slowly started to pull Kenny up into a hug. If he could return it, he would, but he was practically drained at this point, and he still felt tears streaming down his face, although this time, they felt more like tears of joy. He blushed slightly and just gave a weak, but genuine smile back instead.
She then slowly lowered her Tamer to the ground before going for that other weird device that accompanied Kenny's new Digivice on the grass. "Just stay right there, partner. I'll go get you some help." Even though she just grew limbs, she seemed to know what she was doing. She flipped open the device and started typing on it. Kenny could barely make it out but she was typing... something?
She then foraged through Kenny's bag to pull out his phone, before typing something else in there. Was she trying to contact dad? Akari? After all, the latter did tell him to contact her in the event Skadi digivolved. He didn't care. He needed help. And the energy to get back up again. His vision started to blur a bit as he saw his partner put his phone, the weird flipbook thingy and the Digivice into his bag.
It was getting pretty dark now. As expected, the wounds weren't going to be enough to kill him, but he felt like he needed to sleep. The last thing he felt before things went dark was his partner laying near him belly first, and whispering "Don't worry, Kenny. It'll be OK. I've called for help. Just get some rest."
Then it all went dark.
