My first day in this city was crazy. I'm not confident enough to write about that, but let's say that I've met... Monsters. Yeah, it sounds like I'm losing my mind, so I will just forget it.
Being in a different country is a huge deal. Luckily, most Japanese people speak English fluently, so I didn't have any problems when I talked to them.
First thing I did was booking a room in a nearby hotel. It was very expensive, but I couldn't afford wasting money like that. A luxury life sounded pleasant enough, but without a job, I could only spent a couple of weeks there. And I had came to Japan to stay for a longer time than that. So, as long as I left my luggage in my room -and with a few incidents that I prefer not to tell yet-, I went out to look for an apartment. And a bicycle.
I'm a sportsman, so I wanted to buy a brand, new bike. Alas, I had to save my money, so I went with the first thing I could find: a second hand, black and red, city-style bicycle. All I needed it was for traveling around the city, since I've always hated the UG and trains. I can't stand the noise, and the crowd...
With my bike in hand, I traveled through the city until I found a real estate. I went in and I didn't have time to introduce myself: I had already rented a nice loft in a peaceful area. It wasn't the cheapest around, but it was very comfortable and I could allow it for a couple of months before I ran out of money.
That part of my life was set. My next step would be looking for a job, but I had to do something about Hagu.
Yes, Hagu. I said that I had met monsters. They're called Digimon. My friend was born from an egg. Where did it come from? I didn't know then, but Hagu said that it was from the Digital World. Thing is, the egg appeared out of thin air in my luggage. Just like that. And I also found a weird thing called 'Digivice' that gave out information about other monsters. Becase, surprising as it is, there ARE more monsters in Japan. Shibuya's full of them, in fact.
I left my Digimon partner -I've been told that that's the word for it- and went to a nearby shop. I was still in shock: I had a little, mouse-like thing at home, waiting for me to feed it. And I didn't even know what it ate!
[More to come]
