MPC 60B: From Your Point of View
Reward: Posts
Cameo: Ayaka and Coolmon (Kiyoshi thinks Coolmon is a guy)This time, I didn't know how to react when Aya approached me at my computer.
I was so drowned out in fiddling around with my dashboard that I didn't even notice her walk in, let alone any noise that would've indicated she was in the room until she tapped my shoulder. I turned around to face her, slowly taking off my headphones and placing them around my neck as I looked at her, prepared to tell her to buzz off. I was busy.
Not busy enough for this abomination she was holding.
"Where did you get that plush?" I asked her, tilting my head to the side as I tried to grasp what was infront of me. A pink rabbit with the consistency of a peep candy, wearing a scarf and headphones. The fact that the rabbit began talking after startled me to no end, and if I hadn't already had my digivice on me I would've shrieked like a little girl. That... was a digimon.
I felt my whole world collapse around me. The air was stale, suffocating all the oxygen out of my lungs as I struggled to try and recuperate myself. She was already treated like a goddess in this family, why did she get to have this thing that I thought I'd been blessed with? Was it really, really, such a bad thing for me to want something she didn't for once? Malice welled up in my eyes for a second, but it faded away quickly as I found my breath.
The room suddenly felt less dark, and I could breath again.
"Why not cook it?" I asked casually, my snap back to reality was brought on by her asking what to do with it. Sure that might have been a cruel suggestion, just a tad, but I was hungry and rabbits were considered food. There was a complaint by said rabbit, and I chuckled out loud. The laughter wasn't evil, not in the slightest, I found it instead to be one of the most genuine laughs I'd produced in a long time.
"On second thought, its fur is pink. It might have a disease, we should take it to a vet." I laughed again, a smile crossing my face this time. I don't even think a digimon would know what a vet was, yet if one were to consider I shouldn't know what a digimon even was; I was going to find it incredibly amusing if my sister did decide to take it to a vet.
"If you do I'd love to come." I said with the most amount of gusto I could muster into my voice. I blatantly ignored the cries of the digimon's protest. The smile on my face could only widen. At this point I had to acknowledge I was still being mean to the rabbit. Yet, it seemed genuinely scared of this, and my smile immediately turned into a frown.
"Why would the government want to take you away? Because you're a talking rabbit?" I sighed, rubbing my left temple with my hand. I had given a pause for a moment, simply listening as I tried to figure out where to go from there. Intently, I looked the rabbit creature up and down to the point it might've probably been uncomfortable.
In a moment's notice I stood up from my chair, taking my headphones off my shoulders and sitting them on the desk. I tilted my head slightly at the digimon and my sister, before looking around again for her digivice. Surely she would've had it on her somewhere- and then I popped the question.
"Enough joking around then, how long have you had him? What's his name?" I started my 24 questions game with those two, they were simple, but I found an urge to interrogate the two standing before me. It would blow my cover, but with a digimon around that was bound to happen eventually. I knew my sister well enough that she was going to end up keeping it, no matter what I suggested her to do.
If there was one thing that could mark us as being siblings, it would be stubbornness. That seemed to run in the family, like a genetic blood thing.
Later that night I ended up calling my livestream off. After all I didn't have the mental strength right now to explain to my chatroom why there was a pink talking live rabbit in my room with me. At least I found out his name- Coolmon. He was very ready to tell me that fact, I don't think he'd even let Aya answer that question. I rubbed the bridge of my nose as I stared at my computer, deciding to work on homework instead of playing the game I was originally planning on doing.
"What would've happened if I had a partner instead of... what I got?" I asked myself. My thoughts were still haywire, and it was making it hard to concentrate on my homework, resulting in me tapping a pencil against my desk in a rhythmic motion to try and concentrate. My left hand, the one not tapping the pencil, was being used to hold up my head with my elbow on the desk. I bit my lip.
"I don't know what I'd do, honestly." I said to myself, an intent sigh escaping from me as I jotted down some of the answers I believed were correct before returning to my rhythmic tapping. "I'm not the biggest fan of sitting on the sidelines... I know that much about myself." I gritted my teeth, hard enough that I could feel the clenching of my jaw and I knew I'd have cramps for a while after. It didn't help that my pencil I was holding snapped in half after.
"Well..." I began, looking at the broken mess on the desk. Out of a spur of laziness, I simply grabbed the useable part of the pencil and began writing away again. "I'll figure out what to do tomorrow, that sounds good to me."
