Blinds open, the glistening summer sun slowly shined in the small room, as both Kenny and Skadi yawned, stretching themselves. Spending a night in the Sandy Pineapple Inn (at least in Digital World time) was... interesting to say the least, at least if you were a human. These rooms were still more suited for a Digital Monster rather than a flesh and blood human. And while some Digimon he saw there felt indifferent, or even welcome, to his presence, some... weren't, often giving him shifty looks, and the odd death glare from time to time. Maybe because some Digimon just didn't like humans. Kenny slowly rubbed at his eyes, before putting on his glasses and starting to turn at his partner, herself slowly waking up. "Good morning, Skad-" His eyes laid onto his Digimon partner's... rather sudden, out of nowhere new reptilian form, "Skadi? What's happened to you. You look a little... different"Shaking her body a little to wake herself up, Skadi replied, "Buh... wha... what do you mean 'different'?" She took to look at her hands, or rather, what used to be her hands. In their place were 2 giant nails poking out of them. She yelped in shock. Starting to pant heavily, she felt around the rest of her body. Her body was now of that of a quadruped amphibian, with 2 other nails sticking from her feet (or her new back feet, if you will), her fluffy wool replaced with a streamlined, moist, light green body with a more reptilian tail, dark blue stripes running across her sides, and a giant orange fin, like a mohawk, sticking out of her head. "Kenny! What's happened to me!? I've- I've transformed!" She yelled in a panic. Her heart beat like crazy, and she started to scurry along the floor in circles. Kenny was a little confused by that statement, "You mean 'Digivolved'?"
"No! I- I just transformed! In the middle of the night!" She stopped and turned to him. "What's happened to me?" Her face was of confusion and fear, desperately clawing at Kenny's bed. Slowly getting himself out, Kenny leaned over and pulled Skadi up onto the bed. He pulled out his D-3, scanning his partner's new froggy form. Name: ModokiBetamonLevel: RookieFamily: Deep SaversAttribute: DataHe took a look at what the D-3 had to show, before showing the results to Skadi, "Apparently, you've transformed into a ModokiBetamon. Seems to be a data-type sea creature Digimon." He shrugged slightly. He was just as lost as Skadi was, "I have legitimately no idea how in the name of God that's happened."Skadi sighed and slumped onto the bed, "But I liked being Valaismon. I was so cute, and so cuddly, and I actually had hands. I could actually, you know, carry stuff. And punch bad guys in the face too." She let out a sad sigh and looked at him forlornly, "I want to return back to normal."Slowly, Kenny gave a small, but confident smile to the moping ModokiBetamon. He grabbed Skadi in his arms, and close to him, wrapping her in a hug, "Don't worry, pal. I'll get you back to normal as soon as possible." The ModokiBetamon smiled back, crying slightly as she wrapped her arms around him. "Thank you, Kenny."One change of clothes later...Kenny walked out of the room, Skadi awkwardly waddling alongside him on her all fours, and started to look around. Quickly, he called out, "Hey, does anyone know what happened to my partner? She just suddenly transformed in the middle of the night!" He hoped for an answer as soon as possible.

MPC Name: Today, I feel differentMPC Number: 61B Reward Requested: The BitsWords thus far: 1024 Due to one circumstance or another, Ziggy had found himself away from his natural habitat and instead decided to sleep in a hotel last night. Truth be told, his curiosity had simply gotten the better of him, and he was pleasantly surprised at the results of this little experiment. As the first glint of sunlight streaked through the cracks in the room's closed blinds, a single ray hit Ziggy in the face. Unconscious in his deep slumber, he rolled over to try and get the light out of his eyes and regain some comfort.
WHUD!
A sudden feet first fall onto the floor below his raised bed quickly raised poor Ziggy and brought him to his senses. Ugh. And I was having such good dreams. There were all these Ranamon and... The mon trailed off as his thought just sort of trailed off. The fall had left him a bit dazed, it seems. He shook his head and opened his eyes, only to be met with still more darkness. His new form seemed to have a lot of hair that completely covered his eyes, but this fact was lost of Ziggy for the moment. Oh Jesmon Christ Mode, I'VE GONE BLIND!
Ziggy began to hyperventilate for a bit before forcibly calming himself down. No. No. Calm down. There's an explanation for this. There has to be. Maybe someone in the lobby can help. Maybe. Maybe this is a feature of hotels? He had never heard of this before, and couldn't for the life of him understand why anyone would stay in a place like this if this sort of thing was commonplace. Nonetheless, it seemed to be the only logical explanation.
Unable to see anything, Ziggy found a wall with his left hand and began to crawl along it until he reached the door to the hallway of rooms. However, even this proved to be taxing. It seemed his limbs had all become different sizes, and his back legs were significantly longer than his front, making movement incredibly awkward. Every few steps, one of his back legs would slip backward out from under him, occasionally kicking a piece of furniture. On one occasion he knocked over a lamp and heard it smash. They were probably going to make him pay for that.
Finally, after much trial and tribulation, Ziggy was able to reach the door and make his way into the short hallway that leads into the lobby. Once out of his room, he heard a shout about a transformed partner. It seemed someone else was in the same boat as him. "YOu twoo, euh?" Even words were difficult. His whole mouth felt both larger and smaller at the same time. More round, and certainly taking up less of his face than normal. Still, he couldn't dwell on that right now. Perhaps answers lay ahead, and so Ziggy pressed onwards, awkwardly trying to walk on all fours as a quadruped, only to constantly have his long hoof-feet slip out from under him every couple steps.
How am I going to be an optimist about this?

'YOu twoo, euh?'
Kenny and Skadi turned around to the source of the voice, and their mouths fell agape in shock. Was this some crazy dream that was going on? A hallucination? Kenny quickly rubbed his eyes and blinked a couple of times. Nope. His eyesight wasn't suddenly going wonky, a Valaismon was stumbling around in confusion, hands and feet on the floor... and going the wrong way, opposite of where the two stood.
Kenny started to scratch his head in sheer, utterly baffled confusion. Just what the hell was going on here. Skadi looked up to her partner, "Hey, Kenny, I think we should go talk to him." Kenny nodded back to his partner, and followed the Valaismon, catching up to them in almost no time. Skadi, however, struggled to keep up, waddling as fast as she could.
It did not help that she waddled at a snail's pace. "Wait! Wait for me!" Her claw feet awkwardly slapped the floor as she tried to catch up to him and the Valaismon, "I'm not used to this form yet!" Luckily, neither had to run far, as he managed to reach the Valaismon.
Kenny lowed himself down to the Valaismon's level to tap them in the shoulder to talk to them. Once he would grab it's attention, he'd try to talk to it. "Hi there." He smiled at the apparently body swapped creature in a friendly tone, hopefully to reassure it. "Yeah, my partner, Skadi just transformed into a ModokiBetamon in the middle of the night." He informed it, "And, before you ask, no, I have no idea how this happened. It just... did." He shrugged awkwardly.
Sounds of awkward clawfeet slapping could be heard getting a little louder as she caught up to the two, as she painted heavily and he turned towards her. "...Kenny, if you're just going to run off like that, at least let me learn how to walk in this form first so I can catch up to you, comprende?" She pointed out to him.
An awkward silence filled the air. Kenny rubbed the back of his head, then patted his large-finned friend on her's, as he went to apologise, "Heh, sorry Skadi. It's not every day that you suddenly transform into a mutant frog, though." This warranted a little smirk, and a light, playful flick of Skadi's claw, on Kenny, not even enough to leave a minor scratch.
Rubbing his palm slightly and both chuckling, he turned to the Valaismon again, "Oh, I forgot to mention. That's my Digimon partner, Skadi. She's... supposed to be a Valaismon like you, but she transformed into this in the middle of the night." He needed to get some answers as soon as possible. "Can you tell me what's going on here? Because we're kind of lost."

Behind him? Ziggy quickly spun around in the direction of who was talking to him. At least, as quickly as he could while still trying to move in this body like a brain-addled quadruped. Though, given the circumstance, that wasn't entirely inaccurate. Why was he going the wrong way? The signals sent by the ears to the brain wasn't a learned behavior, so that shouldn't be affected by his current predicament. Was it due to his current muddled state? Or possibly the man behind the keyboard misreading the previous post? Either was equally viable as an explanation.
In the awkward twirl 'round, some of the hair in front of Ziggy's eyes fluttered and he caught a glimpse of....himself? Now that he realized he wasn't blind and just had fur, he took his hands and parted it, allowing him full sight again. Not quite full, actually. It seemed he had a greater focus on things right in front of him, and didn't have quite as large a field of view. An ok trade-off, if not a bit disorienting. There was no longer any doubt, now that he could see. The ModokiBetamon before him was himself. Foreign eyes probably thought all digimon of a particular species looked the same and truth be told, Ziggy had trouble telling some humans apart. However, just as they can recognize individuals without flaw or exception, so too can he recognize himself.
While Kenny spoke to him, Ziggy was only half listening. Most of his focus was on his own mouth. While trying to pay as much attention as he could, he was moving it about in every way he could, stretching and relaxing all the muscles associated with it until he learned how to actually work the thing. "Well," Oh good. It was working. "I have no idea." While blatant and curt, this was the absolute truth. As he racked his brain for information about non-digivolution, non-reincarnation based transformations, Ziggy came up blank.
Only one possibility came into his head, and it was not one that focused on the how or why, but on what. What to do now? Not how to fix it, but simply how to proceed. "We may just have to live like this now." It may be preemptive to simply give in like this. However, with no ideas, Ziggy had no leads. Nowhere to start an investigation. "If I'm you, and you're me, I think all we can do is teach each other how to use each other's bodies and just hope for the best."
Over the course of this, more hair had fallen back into Ziggy's eyes, and he brushed it out, as he had before. This time, however, he noticed his hands. They had those tiny tentacle things. What were they called again? Flingers? That sounded about right, but maybe not. This entire time, they had been rigid and unmoving, even as Ziggy moved about on all fours. Holding one arm out towards Skadi and Kenny, he posed one of the questions that has puzzled him for nearly his whole short life. "How do I use the hand tentacles?"
How am I going to be an optimist about this?

Having grabbed the now-Valaismon's attention, and managing to explain what he knew so far to him, the sheep had completely drew up a blank about the situation. Clearly, this wasn't going to be of any help here. Until he pointed out that they could be stuck like this. Permanently. Only thing to do now was to teach each other. Kenny had a surprised look on his face, and Skadi's jaw dropped to the floor.
"You mean- I'm stuck like this forever!?" The now-ModokiBetamon shouted, "This can't be happening! This cannot be happening! I don't want to be stuck like this forever! How am I supposed to protect Kenny when I don't even know how to use this form!?" In a mix of anger and panic, she started to slap her front feet on the floor, until Kenny turned to her and pet her on the head to calm her down.
"Calm down, Skadi," He whispered to his fin-headed friend, as she quieted down, albeit still trembling a bit, "When I said 'we'll fix this ASAP', I meant it. Besides, for all we know, this might be a temporary transformation, and you'll be back to normal tomorrow." He turned back to the ModokiBetamon, shrugging, "Sorry, she's just a little uppity about... all this. But, yeah, you're right. It's best we teach each other right now, just so we can get used to our new forms. You're a Valaismon, a bipedal mammal Digimon who usually attacks with headbutts and loud bleats."
He added, "By the way, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kenny, and my friend's name is Skadi. But I bet you already caught that from our little banter back there." He lightly chuckled.
As the now-Valaismon looked at his fingers (or 'hand tentacles', as he called it) in confusion, and asked him about it, Kenny replied, "They're not 'hand tentacles', they're fingers. Watch closely." In rapid succession, Kenny repetitively clenched his hand into a fist, "You can use these to grab things, for example," he reached into his pocket to pull out his D-3, before showing it to the now-Valaismon, "See? It's easy, now you try." He put the D-3 on the floor, waiting for the now-Valaismon to do something.
Meanwhile, Skadi slowly tried to scoot towards the exit, hoping to God nobody would notice her. She wasn't going to take this lying down, no sir. After all, as the old saying goes, if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
