"You might wanna stop your friend" one of the digimon said. This just angered Collectdramon more. He didn`t like fighting, but once he started getting angry, he just couldn`t help it. Only submission satisfied him, usually. But he saw the other digimon get into what seemed to be combat positons. Collectdramon knew he was outmatched completly, but he couldn`t work without answers. And he was really tired of asking questions without being answered. Tired of that ever since he came into the human world. He just wanted to go back and... No! He had to focus on this problema first. "Yeah, you better shut the smart talk and just answer my questions." He said, still growling and poiting his stinger. He just wanted answers, not a fight, but he was ready for one. Even if it was his end, it was better than getting tricked right when it seemed he was going to find a way back home.

So they were Digimon! Fran was more surprised than Hagu, but that was not what occupied his mind. They were about to have a fight, if he didn't manage to calm things down. How to do it? He had always been the guy who fled when problems were in sight, but he couldn't do this. It was not right, plus he couldn't leave Collectdramon there. And his partner wouldn't want to leave either.
The Kapurimon was surprised. It expected them to be Digimon, but not that they were so powerful! Their bodies, the energy that came from them... It just knew that they overpowered both him and Collectdramon. There was no use in fighting. Why was his pal acting like that? It was sure that he knew that they didn't stand a chance. Why was he being so aggressive? The small Digimon had to intervene.
"Stop, all of you!" shouted both Digimon and human.
"What are you going to do, Collectdramon? That's not you! You won't get anything from them! Can't you see that their strenght is far beyond yours?" asked Hagu.
"Come on, guys. Let's relax a bit! We've just met, and you already want to put up a fight? Collectdramon didn't know what he was doing! He... He thought that we were in danger! So it was all a misunderstanding!", said Fran, thinking that his excuse could be gullible.

"Answers? You stll need a solution to your inquiry?" Vetina seemed a little insulted. "Me and my cohort *just* supplied them. I'm calling shenanigans on your auditory comprehension"
Betty huffed, seeing how the others tried to diffuse the situation before stepping in front of Vetina, pressing down on her spear.
"Look, Vetina, let's not do this, okay? Yes he shot first, and under normal circumstances I'd be the first to retaliate. But, really, no need to beat the guy up. So... mind if I take over? Maybe even preserve some of that good mood?"
There was a stern, concerned tone to Betty's tone. The two were friends, by the way, and anyone paying attention could see that, despite bickering, they had respect for each other. The blue spear was pulled back, now resting gently on the Ranamon's shoulder as she quirkyly smirked at her friend. "Okay, pal, pilot away."
Betty turned back to Collectdramon. "As I said earlier, we're in disguise to not draw attention to ourselves. We came here just to eat before going back home. Are you satisfied now?"

Back....home? Could it be that these digimon actually knew where the portal was? Yes, of course, how could he have been so stupid? Nobody liked this stinky river anyway, and why would anyone want something from him? For what must have been the hundreth time just in those two days, Collectdramon felt really embaressed. He was prepared to give his life in a fight with digimon who just wanted to have lunch and go exactly where he wanted to go! "Hum...sorry, I thought you were trying to trick me. It is not the first time I make that mistake this week. I mean, I am kinda lost in this world. But when you said home did you mean...the digital world? Because we were sort of like, searching for some sort of gateway into it when you arrived, because of a strange feeling this place gave me and Hagu. I am really sorry for all the trouble." Collectdramon was embaressed and ready for redemption. he didn`t really know what this digimon liked, so he got on his knees. "If there is anything I can do to make myself up, just tell me."

Both human and Digimon looked with a sad expression at Collectdramon. Their first encounter had been tense as well, but back then it was the Rookie protecting his territory and looking for some peace. Now it was obvious that he could jump with the most simple aggression. Fran hoped he could contain the Digimon from fighting his problems out, but what worried him right now was the Digimon duo. Although it seemed that the argument had been put off, he could not be sure. That Ranamon... Something about her attitude made him feel doubtful.
The Kapurimon approached Collectdramon with its small bounces, and it rubbed its friend with its tail, trying to reassure him. Even though they hadn't talked too much, Hagu already felt a connection with this lost soul. It didn't say anything, but tried to comfort him with its eyes. It wasn't worried about Ranamon and Flamedramon; somehow, it knew that they were more interested in leaving them on their own than causing troubles -at least, in that place.
The only thing the Digimon wanted from them was a reply. But they were in no position to ask for anything, after all the fuss. It looked back at Fran to make sure that he was OK -since he was thrown back by conflicts, and he might daydream while in troubles- and then it focused on that weird pair, waiting for an answer.

Betty seemed to have relaxed a bit once he stood down. Well, problem averted, it seemed. Vetina, at the moment, started playing with a small rock with the tip of her sphere. Since she was saying nothing still, Betty continued talking with the embarrassed digimon.
"It's fine, you don't have to 'repay' us in any way. Yes, we're going back to the digital world ourselves. Since this is actually my first time here, I don't personally know where it is. But Vetina can tell you."
"Able, yes. Willing, no."
And there was an awkward pause.
"He shot first. So, no location shall be provided from my end."
"Vetina, you aren't *that* petty. I'm sure you wasn't going to tell them anyway..."
Again, the Ranamon laughed. "Affirmative, I'm your familiar book. Ah, but justification was altered, not added. Prior, to maintain a sense of adventure. Traveling youth needn't one to give set ends. Where there is no fun or practicality in general practice, methinks.
But the intent changed, with a static affect. He envoked in me a practice of self defense. His scalely dome heats faster than yours, and you spit fire. "
Betty looked at Vetina, then turned around. "The portal is roughly 20 feet downstream, give or take."
"Nyeeeehhh!?" Vetina was shocked. How could Betty have correctly guessed it's rough location? On cue, Betty gave her answer.
"Judging from where we walked to and how many subtle glances you performed..."
"...m-my eyes? " The girl was flustered. She did have large eyes, and Betty was more detail oriented than herself. "Checkmated, you spoilsport."
Betty smirked.

Did Collectdramon just heard right? Could it really be that easy? It seemed like this digimon just gave out the precise location of the portal! Collectdramon couldn`t believe it, but he couldn`t discard the possibility either. He was extremly excited. He stood. "Well, then what are we waiting for? Let`s go find that portal!" He jumped into the river, ignoring the smell and started to swim towards the directions given.

So they were friends after all. At least, the blue one with a fire-patterned armor was. The one who spoke in a decimononic manner -Was Vetina her name?- sure was a weird Digimon, and Fran wondered if they would meet many more of her kind. He struggled to understand what she said, but he could understand that she was not glad. Her friend had spoiled all her fun. And yet, nor Fran nor Hagu did want to jump after Collectdramon.
"Well, thank you... I didn't get your name, but thank you anyway", said the human to the blue lizard. "I am Fran, by the way."
"And I am Hagu! Thank you very much!" exclaimed the Kapurimon, approaching Fran again. Now that she had pointed where the portal was, its location was so obvious that the Digimon felt a bit ashamed. However, its good mood kept it up and sunny.
"There's one thing, thou, that I'd like to ask you... I promise it won't take away much more of your time", said Fran quietly. "Do we... Do we have to jump into THAT to get into your world?"
Even Hagu shook with the thought. It did not want to get itself dirty, and it was hoping that the portal was... Well, in some other place. Maybe in the opposite shore, or behind a column. But not inside the river. It wasn't as used to it as Collectdramon was.

The info seemed to have gotten everyone in high hopes, and Betty wouldn't have to spend much unnecessary time here, having gotten ths info from Vetina. The dragon digimon went back into the dirty water, but Hagu was hesitant. While they knew where the portal was, Betty only gave a more general location. There was more info to be gained, and a Ranamon to nudge.
"Fine, fine, defeat smears easily enough without the added pressure. " Vetina hardly seemed unwilling now, having a "might as well" tone in her voice. She walked closer to the edge of the water, and used her aquakinesis. The river was parting at a noticable angle, with the other end pointing in the direction of the portal. "Chop, chop, you." She said before walking through. The ground was hardly any cleaner than the water, but at least they didn't have to wade through it. A few moments walking out the other side, there was a weird anomoly beginning to form. A small distortion in the air that was gaining size. Hopefully, the others would have crossed by now, as the water quickly closed up.
"Circumstancial party, this is the way. But be wary, even moreso for the human. An unfamiliar setting calls for caution. An aside, should you find yourself on Whitewater, an acquaintance runs a club, Caritas. Just saying."

When Fran saw that the waters were opening, he did not doubt. Weird as it was, he got a hunch: there wouldn't be another chance to get inside. He picked up Hagu, who was amazed by that Digimon's power, and he rushed through the corridor. The walls of water at both side scared him, but he -somehow- trusted in Vetina. And then, it appeared. At first it was just a shade, and Fran thought that it was an illusion, but he blinked while running and it didn't disappeared. He glimpsed Hagu, and the Digimon nodded. That was the energy surge.
The Kapurimon, astonished as it was, only felt that it was being raised. When it regained its senses it saw the huge river torn apart and menacing to fall over them. But then it was that feeling. That thing that had been in its head for almost a day. The portal... They were heading towards the Digital World! It looked at Fran, who was serious as it had never seen him. Hagu could tell that it was both fear and excitement. And when the human looked back, it nodded. They HAD to go in there.
And so, both of them entered through the portal.

Fran and Hagu were the first in. Next would be Betty and Vetina. However, the two would banter a bit more, as per usual.
"Enjoyed the trek, pal?" Vetina, asked. "Satisfactory enough to make a case for another date?"
Betty glared at a now chuckling Vetina. "You're going to give people the wrong impression of us with that sort of talk. Please stop that."
"Unable to receive this jest? I told you to burn that stick, Betty. Ample stress'll has a chance of giving your hair color."
The Flamedramon shook her head a bit. "Never mind, okay? Let's just go home before someone sees us."
And there Betty went, through the tunnel. Vetina seemed a bit perplexed and she went through the portal herself. "Wait! My Inquiry! You didn't answer meeeeee!"
