The banquet at the murder mystery dinner being held at a hotel seemed to be going smoothly as everyone is having a great time talking about the famous detective novels of the old days. Viktoriya had wanted to try out solving the murder of a murder mystery dinner, courtesy of the great staff that had set it up. Vera would sit with her, disguised as a blonde tanned woman dressed in Aztecan clothing.People would stare at the woman occasionally, not knowing why the girl had brought in someone dressed in strange clothing though she didn't mind it as long as she just made up the excuse of her being a foreign bodyguard.[break][break]
Dinner for tonight consisted of the finest meal available to guests as people talked in the background. As the show was about to begin, suddenly the lights had completely gone black! Everyone seemed to panic as Viktoriya tried to know what was going on, but she might assume it must've been the murder mystery being done by the staff in this hotel. After some time, the lights would come back on while the room was full of anxious people wondering what was going on. The girl heard a loud scream as the partygoers rushed to the source of the noise.[break][break]
She rushed to the scene of the crime along with Vera following her along, pushing past the people that had gathered in a crowd around the body. Once she had successfully squeezed past the onlookers whispering amongst themselves, her eyes saw the horrifying sight that produced a scream from a lady in a black dress that had fainted earlier. It was a body of a woman in her late twenties who was facedown with a large pool of blood underneath. Upon closer inspection, the body had a single stake with demonic lettering stuck onto their back and a magic circle presumably made with the blood of the victim. Of course, she would immediately suspect foul play, but who in the room was the true culprit?

Shino had been excited to come on the scene, expecting this evening to be just a fun game. But of course it came off more as work. She normally wouldn't of gone for this kind of things but she wanted to try and be more sociable with others than behind a computer all the time. She was a hacker, not an inadept social person-- or at least it was what she told herself.
She was dressed rather presentable, nothing too fancy. However, as she tried to enjoy the spread of dinner they had laid out, people were complaining some of the food had gone missing. She rolled her eyes, knowing exactly who was responsible for THAT mystery.
Camoflagued via his unique skin-texture was Commandramon, aka Vector. The little soldier dinosaur had always gotten used to blending in around humans and was near invisible unless you knew where to look. So Vector chowed down as easily as any rookie could-- snarfing down food whenever no one was looking and hiding under tables.
"That dumb dino... if he blows his cover I am not gonna save his butt this time..." she grumbled, trying to put him out of her mind.
Out of the corner of her eye, Shino spotted it. A girl a year or so older than her, but holding a strange little 'stuffed animal' or so it appeared. It was dressed oddly, out of character with its appearance. Shino adjusted her glasses but kept seated. "It couldn't be... " For the moment she just regarded her gently and left her alone. No sense approaching her about a Digimon when she didn't have to.
The festivities were about to begin -- but then is when they heard it. Shino nearly coughed at her juice, and Vector was stuffing his face when the scream went off. His cheeks were swollen like a chipmunk when he went, still camouflaged and they went to the room.
Shino felt shocked and frightened by the sight of the blood and the grizzly murder that occured. It brought up bad memories of a certain night, and how she had to deal with a similar matter, seeing all that blood. She took a few deep breaths, trying to process it all. She felt the warmth of something behind her-- it being Vector hidden from sight. The little Dino knew when to be quiet and close when it mattered as they saw the grizzly scene.
"Don't tell me its a ..." Shino gasped.
"A Vampire! I always wanted to hunt one!" Vector chirped aloud, but still invisible. Naturally people would want to know who said such a foolish thing, but Shino just froze and tried to act ignorant.
... At least, after she gave a small, swift kick to the invisible presence behind her. The sound of an "oof" could be heard, but not seen as Vector got her message to not talk right now.

She heard the footsteps approach as another girl with blue hair stared at the murdered woman in shock. Someone assumed that it was a vampire though it wasn't the right answer as to what happened to this woman. "It's not the work of a vampire, but there's definitely foul play involved during the banquet." The whispers among the people during the dinner varied between the shock of the grisly and ghastly sight before them to an excitement of a real murder case happening. Should the culprit be one of the staff then a real detective had to check if their alibi was solid. [break][break]
On one hand, the partygoers in fine suits and dresses must've had a motive to commit murder, but their alibis also needed to be checked before she could name a suspect. She noticed that the staff members had gathered to disperse the crowd though it didn't stop her from doing a close inspection with the body. "Could this stake be the murder weapon or was it something else... It's likely that it was placed there to be a red herring when the real murder weapon could be found elsewhere." She thought that the stake was planted there just so it could lead her off the track of the culprit though she really needed a lead of what truly happened during the night of the murder.[break][break]
Vera in her disguised form looked over to the magic circle that was drawn in blood. "Maybe the magic circle drawn underneath the victim might've been a ploy to scare people into thinking there was supernatural means?" Viktoriya places that thought into the proverbial box, maybe the culprit really wanted to make it into a crime of the occult though why would they do it to draw attention to themselves?

To woman with the small creature in her arms was the one to look quickly into the scene and inspect things. She was smart and aware not to touch anything that could compromise the evidence. The stake there, the circle, she was smart to assume they could of been ploys. to throw off the trail of the culprit.
"YOu... seem to be familiar with all of this? It would help if we actually knew who the victim was. Though don't you think we should just call the police? " she asked her, not bbringing up the whole digimon thing.
"DO NOT FEAR! FOR I SHALL SOLVE THIS CASE!" a loud voice boomed from behind Shino.
It was then Shino wish she was the dead woman there from the embarassment that she felt as she dared to turn around.
There was the little digimon she knew as Vector-- but he had changed, due to him tossing on comedic, cartoonish methods of a costume. He now lost the military helmet to wear a classic late 17th century detective hat. He wore a 'beard' meant to disguise his digimon dino-like features, a matching cowl to cover his body-- and finally he traded in the rifle he had for a magnifying glass in his little claw. He also added to his look by having an odd pipe in his mouth for extra flare.
Vector looked utterly ridiculous. Even worse now that he was visible to them and not camouflaged.
"Vector, what are you doing?" Shino asked, restraining the urge to not make the night a double murder.
"The game is afoot, my dear Watson. " Vector said as he waddled his way towards the body. "Detective Vector, is on the case. Let us begin with checking the room for clues. You two, find any shoe prints and things out of place here. Data, data, data. I cannot make bricks without clay. "
In character for 20 seconds and he was already barking orders at them. If Shino had the energy she would of knocked him on the head. "Okay you been watching Robert Downey Jr. Films way too long." she replied, getting his recent interest from watching the Sherlock Holmes movie.
With his magnifying glass, the little dino began to circle the room in a spiral pattern. He would hop over books or furniture and follow everything through the scope of his eyeglass to see anything around him. There would be no doubt if Victoria would question what the hell was he doing. It soon came to a hault as Vector ended at the outskirts of the body, seeing the bloody drawing and supposed murder weapon.
"The stake was definitely NOT the murder weapon. The amount of blood loss suggests a far sharper, steely object. The amount of blood on the stake doesn't fit. Perhaps the victim used it in self defense. Now-- we must dust the body! " Vector declared proudly.
"For prints?" Shino asked.
"No! It's filthy." Vector replied with a squeak.
Shino moved in to give Vector a good punch to the head-- unless Victoria would move to restrain her.

Viktoriya didn't expect someone else to act like a detective as she looked over at some kind of machine-like Digimon with a hat resembling Sherlock's and a beard along with the costume. Vera looked at the little guy with confusion though he was already barking orders for the two girls to find shoe prints and anything of the like. While the other girl beside him was ready to punch him, she would be looking around for anything odd and the shoe prints. If she had a flashlight specifically for detecting stains of blood then she could be able to use it.[break][break]
As the girl with the brown hair moved to punch the little robotic Digimon, she moved to restrain her fist. "I'd let him have his fun while I look around for clues." If the Robert Downey movies about Sherlock were concerned, he was playing like an amateur sleuth. Still, she was interested if he could solve the case or if he was going off what Robert Downey's Sherlock would've done to solve crimes. She let go of the other girl's arm as she did as the detective directed, trying to find anything out of the ordinary while people watched the body.[break][break]
There was a trail of blood on the floor which stopped only a few feet before the bathroom. It really looked like the victim had been dragged all the way from the bathroom to where the body was discovered. but why? There was also a set of bloody shoe prints that seemed to lead there as well. Would following that trail lead her to the murder weapon? She decided to follow the path inside the bathroom as people were wondering who could've done it while they were all distracted. The girl would take a look around the stalls of the womens' bathroom, nothing out of the ordinary so far except when she opened the last stall... There was the same dreaded circle that indicated someone was a fan of the occult.[break][break]
It was drawn on the door with the same blood being used, maybe the killer did intend to make it into a crime involving the scary occult stuff. On the seat of the toilet, she saw an elongated knife covered in a large amount of blood which led to believe that this was a crime of passion and somebody really wanted this victim dead. She had to be careful of tampering with whatever evidence she found, so she would put on some gloves and carefully place the knife inside a bag.[break][break]
Viktoriya returned with the knife inside a plastic bag and since the blood was still fresh, this might lead to a big clue. "Detective Vector, was it? I found the true murder weapon inside the bathroom though I cannot fathom why would they leave such a crucial piece of evidence plain out into the open. If only I could have the technology on me to check for prints on the weapon, but I can't tamper with it."

Vicktoria was quick to find the murder weapon. A knife hidden in the adjacent bathroom outside of the study. "Excellent snooping, Wattson!" Vector said as he took the bag that contained the dagger. "SO we now have three crimes!"
"Three crimes?" SHino asked, trying to not let Vector's craziness affect her.
"One, the murder. Two, fleeing the scene via the window in the bathroom... and finally..." Vector waved his paw in the space in front of his nose. "FOr that god-awful smell afterward. What died in here?!"
Shino ran a hand over her eyes as she tried to not lose her mind-- too much was going on here for her to really process the murder and her crazy digimon partner.
We must pursue the culprit. Onward! " Vector cried and charged out the room holding his magnifying glass. SHino just looked at Victoria, speecheless of the insanity no doubt the Sheer Madness, this night would produce.
END.
Over 1k Words confirmed from both.
