Had he had any energy left to argue Carlos would have probably told Bell to just drop the Duke act already, but opted for the easy way out and focused on the dinner. As for the twins well obviously Gio's giddiness only became more pronounced by the plants compliments as she sat between him and his brother, who of course moved to the side and closer to the arm of the couch, not so much to give Bell more room but rather to stay at a safe distance.
Though surprisingly she seemed rather...deflated, if only for a moment. Judging by her muttering, it wasn't hard to imagine why, even for someone as naive and...not too bright as Gio. So of course, wanting to be a good host to their guest, he'd tilt his head a bit as he glanced at the plant.
"Aw Lily, you're not a squatter, you're our guest!" He chimed, trying to seem reassuring, to which Dio predictably sneered.
"Guest? Speak for yourself. Don't try to play the victim card now after you got us all into this mess-HEY!" His tirade would be cut short by a swift slap at the back of the head from his brother, who miraculously managed to exert enough self control not to accidentally knock his brother off the couch and through the floor.
Again.
"Be nice, Dio." The lizard said in a somewhat stern tone that was still a hundred times softer than his recent hit. Before the imp was able to let out a loud tirade of obsenities at him however, the blackguilmon seemed to remember something, as his features softened as he once again glanced at the floramon.
"Oh yeah, how long are you staying with us again?"

Guest?
Wow, Gio was remarkably optimistic! By Bell's perspective, Dio was far more on point for the situation at hand, and considering what the Floramon tried to pull already, it was reasonable that the Impmon wouldn't want the plant to 'scam' them any further. The fact that the Guilmon tried to defend her wasn't quite enough to bring Bell back to a smile.
Though she did manage a quip: "I see the dino here is the more chivalrous one of the two." She chuckled, shaking her head as Gio asked that question. And it honestly wasn't one that she really knew the answer to. "... I can't make it that long. Time here's seven times the pace in the Digital World. Three days would let me skip a month, so two or three is probably sufficient to see them move onto another case. Besides, its not like I want to mess with DATS like I am now."
All reasonable enough. She took a deep breath, taking a glance at the back of the Impmon's head. Heck, Gio really gave him a whack, didn't he! "Trust me, I get it, Dio. Well, I'd say its not every day that someone flies right into your life, but..."
She chuckled - reaching a 'hand' forward, picking a bit of pollen out of Dio's scarf.
"What's her name?"

"Thanks!" The lizard replied with a goofy grin, not entirely sure what 'chivalrous' actually meant but convinced it had to be something good judging by Bell's tone, right? At any rate he'd give a nod, seemingly satisfied with her reply. "Three days it is! Don't worry about DATS though, we'll hide you real good if they come looking." Not the most encouraging of replies but itnwas the thought that counted, right?
Dio meanwhile would just ignore their banter, still rubbing the back of his head as he glared daggers at the two...only to flinch back a bit as the Floramon reached for his scarf, though much to his chagrin he soon found out she wasn't as interested on the scarf as what was on it.
"Huh?" Confusion was naturally his first reaction to Bell's words, followed by his eyes widening in sheer realization and, of course, the all too familiar reddish blush this plant seemed so adept at causing. "T-thats none of your business! Leave her out of this!" He spat back, covering his mouth once he realiced a little too late he had been too close to givin her too much information.
Something of course Gio was all too obliviously happy to do.
"Her? Oh! You meant Bloom, ri-" He wasn't able to finish his babbling before he found one of the floor cushions forcefully shoved into his mouth by the impmon.
"Shut. Up." But alas, he knew the damage was already done.

"Gio, if DATS does come along, you'll also be hiding, you know?"
Sheesh, such a selfless lizard! Bell actually managed to get an honest laugh out of that, even as Dio stared daggers right into the back of her head. It didn't seem to phase the Floramon at all, though - in fact, she was able to simply twist and push Dio's buttons even further! The blush on the Impmon's face earned a grin on the Floramon's own, and the Guilmon was oh-so-helpful with his input. Bloom?
"Thought so, you do have a bit of a thing for plant types." Bell smirked, helping the Guilmon by twisting that throw pillow out of his jaw, before turning her attention right back onto that Impmon. "Honestly, Dio, let me be level with you, And yes, I know, surprise-surprise, the teasing plant's saying she's going to be honest, but..."
She stretched her arms out. "... I do know a one-sided deal when I see it. Fact is, I was testing out different 'versions' of Lily on the way back. Acting as your sister, acting as your flirt, just a friend of your tamer's, all of that. It might remain beneficial for me to continue acting as a flirt at times, but maybe I can scratch your back in a bit of a different way."
How so?
"I know what plant types like - and really, that's only a thing you pick up by being part of the species. Play along, and I can help you with a thing or two with 'Bloom'."

"Oh...we can hide all together then! I'm sure there's enough space if we digivolve into something smaller." Gio retorted, perhaps a bit too entusiastically, almost as if the idea of hiding from authorities was no different than a slightly more involved game of hide and seek.
Then again, this was the same digimon that believed most fights were all simply more advanced versions of tag, so that wouldn't have been that surprising coming from him. Dio of course, wouldn't have been caught dead locked inside a closet with her of all people, but that was a given at this point.
"I mean he did have a crush on a Shutmon too once..." The guilmon mused, more to himself than anyone else as the floramon took out the pillow lodged in his jaw and commented on Dio having a "type". His brother didn't seem particularly amused at the lizard spewing more info that could be used against him, though.
"Gio, you say another word and I'm throwing something bigger than a pillow next time."
His threat didn't get farther than that, as "Lily" soon began proposing...something to the impmon. He was initially dismissive at first, but as she continued it was obvious it was getting a reaction out of him. Not only the blushing in his face got so pronounced it was almost the same color as his scarf, his body would begin to somewhat noticeably twitch a bit, as if trying to hold back the shivers running down his spine. Was it fear, embarrasment...morbid curiosity? Perhaps it was all of the above.
Not wanting to keep quiet in fear either Gio or her would decide for him however, he tried to stall a definitive answer by asking a simple question.
Something that, honestly? He kinda regretted asking as soon as he opened his mouth. "...p-play along how?" Perhaps trying to take the conversation far away from those possibilities he'd quickly add another more pressing question, though the rather undignified cracking in his tone probably didn't do his question any favors. "And why?! You'll be staying here until things die down, right? Why do you need to keep up the act behind closed doors?!"

A Shutmon as well? Dio had interesting tastes, but for once, the Floramon let that little bit slide. "Well, still better than the time I tried to string along a Coronamon. Plants and fire do not mix, I can tell you that much."
She sighed, giving a light chuckle to try and settle the mood. It was clear that Bell was managing to get somewhere with Dio, but would he actually take the bait? For the first time since she'd been here, Bell had actually been genuine, actually willing to help out - in her own way - if Dio took her up on the offer. And the Impmon actually considered it, asking just what her terms were.
Even as he tried to shakily cover that answer right up. "Oh please, 'doll', have I tried to flirt with you at all since we've come inside?" The Floramon shook her head. "Honestly, all that amounted to was the first good laugh that I've had after weeks of hiding. I might be able to put on a good face, but that doesn't mean my 'face' will catch on with others if they don't know what I'm trying to do."
An act. It was all an act from the start.
As for the specifics? "Anyway, its about what you'd expect. I keep playing my part and you act as someone whose known me for a while. Sort of like a flawed Casanova that I still can't help but sink into the arms of, or... well, something in that respect. We can iron out the details to keep our story straight."
Simple enough, at least in theory. Though Bell couldn't help but add: "It helps that you're cute enough for it to pass. I'd say the scarf does make you seem at least a bit dashing."

Dio was, to be perfectly honest quite a bit conflicted, unable to get a grip on "Lily's" true intentions and most egresiously, his eyes widened in a look of pure dread as soon as he heard her utter the word "Doll". He did not like the connotations of that word in this context. "Tch, then what are you doing right now?! "Doll" is no way of adressing someone you just met!" The wannabe monarch spat back, as indignant as he was mortified. This plant was a little too adept at getting under his skin with every word. Confused, embarrased and backed against a corner, the imp did something he wasn't expecting. He considered her offer seriously. As demeaning as she would probably make the following days (wheter unintentionally or not), he had to admit the possible upsides for it were if nothing else somewhat alluring.
As much as he wanted to hide it from the Floramon, he cared a great deal for Bloom, in a way that was very unlike himself. So much so he would be willing to sacrifice some of him if it meant improving things between them. And if the price to pay for that was his dignity...well even for someone as self centered as him it was a good deal. He sighed loudly, trying to compose himself, his posture and dusting off his scarf, trying to give off an air of dignity and grace he had most certainly not been demostrating since they came across this digimon.
After swallowing loudly (as if he was literally swallowing his massive ego) and clearing his throat for a good while, he'd open his mouth again, and give Bell his answer.
"Very well, I'll play along for now. But you better hold your end of the bargain..."
As for Gio one may ask? He had merely stared at the two's back and forth with a puzzled, intrigued expression, his mind trying to process what was going on in front of him, never wanting to actually ask any of them for fear of interrupting them. Now that they were done however?
"...so you guys are gonna play "house"? Is that what's going on?"

"Hm, not a fan of 'Doll'? I guess when we get into acting, we'll have to use 'Darling' or 'Dear' instead..." And why did all of those words start with Ds? That idle thought aside, Bell had put her offer on the table, and it was up to the Impmon to consider it. For the first time in a long while, the Floramon had time to plan, and having the chance to iron out her story with her 'partner' beforehand was going to prove to be a great help.
Especially now that Dio thought it through, calmed down, and decided to go along with it. Bell gave a reserved smile, nodding at his acceptance. "Oh, I will, don't you worry about that. We'll have a few days to practice our act. As for cues - hm. I might change this, but for now, if I blink twice or if I fold my left hand over my right, I'm acting, and I need you to play along." Simple, subtle things that would either pass by too quick for most to notice or would simply look natural in context.
As for Gio, she gave a smile and a shrug. "Well, sure, that's actually a decent way to put it! Though you still don't need to play any other role than Dio's twin." Truth be told, she didn't entirely trust Gio to keep the act a secret - so the best way she could play this was to put him as far away from the game as possible.
Slipping back into the chair, she gave a slow nod. "Alright, so if we're doing this, what do I need to know about you? You know, nicknames, that sort of thing."

Dio would let out a tsk as he squinted at Bell, clearly annoyed at the choices for nicknames she wanted to use. They all implied a level of familiarity between the two that would give some credence to her cover, but did nothing other than make him increasingly uncomfortable, not only because he knew he would probably never trust the Floramon that much, but also because if Bloom were ever to hear about it...well it almost made being trapped with Bell seem prefferable. Almost.
At the very least she seemed to relent for a moment as she began giving him a small rundown of some cues for him to look out for while they were out "acting out" their little relation in public. He nodded once, it all seemed relatively simple and straight forward, which he appreciatted. "Gotcha, should we have signals for more specific stuff like..." He let out what could only be described as a groaning sigh of frustration before continuing, "...hugging or hand holding?" After all, actions spoke louder than words. Once that was arranged well, they would have to move on to the next point, which was just as important: she did need to know as much as possible from him to keep appearances.
"Nicknames? Well, other than Dio and most certainly not Doll, there's really nothing else, and somehow I doubt you'll refer to me as the Dark Lord Dio. Any more specific questions?" He responded scratching his neck while looking deep in thought. "And what about you? Do I have to call you anything in particular, "Lily"?"
Gio meanwhile seemed blissfully unaware that Bell didn't want him to participate in the game too much, less he accidentally ruined the act. His response to her made that much clear at least.
"Oh, that's fine too! I'm very good at playing his brother, cause that's what I am." He chuckled to himself with a dumb smile, seemingly content with the "role" he was given.

It seemed that the Impmon was willing to work with this idea a little bit - even taking the signals to the next logical step, frustrating as it might have been for him. "Hm, haven't really thought it that far ahead yet... should probably see how these first few cues work out before we get too complicated."
The hesitation in Dio's voice wasn't matched in the Floramon's, Bell simply thinking it through as logically as she could. The Impmon wasn't much for nicknames, though she chuckled a bit at the 'Dark Lord' comment. "Alright, so maybe a bit of teasing, calling you 'My Liege' or something, but I can work with Dio. As for me? Mmm... I think 'Lily' just works better than most things. Its already a 'nickname' for some plant Digimon anyway."
Yup - now that Dio was onboard, the Floramon became more straightforward about the idea. She gave the Guilmon a nervous chuckle, not really responding further than that - just a small, unspoken thought in her head.
This lizard better not end up throwing the act out the window.
... She'd cross that bridge when they'd get there. For now, the Floramon stood up from the couch, stretching out her back, taking a quick look around the place. "Hm... ordinarily I'd say I'd crash on the couch, but something tells me that's usually taken when you all crash here. I can't even picture where Gio sleeps..." Bell shook her head, at that thought. "You all have any idea how this'd work?"

"Sounds acceptable." Dio sighed in response, not entirely convinced but content enough with what he was hearing. He somehow suspected it could have been much, much worse. At the very least "My Liege" had a nice ring to it. Though the way she phrased (in her own words) her nickname earned her a quirked eyebrow from him.
"So is Lily your actual name or is that also a fabrication?"
Regardless of what she replied, for now they had another matter to settle on their hands: where would she was supposed to sleep. Surprisingly, Gio of all people already seemed to have a pretty good idea.
"Oh, actually I sleep on a small matress in the bedroom floor, just like Dio. Though sometimes I share my bed with Carlos, so if you want you can use mine." Gio nodded with a smile, visibly pondering for a moment before adding, "Or you could also sleep on the couch, or maybe even share bed with Di-" Once again he'd find himself being cut off as Dio was quick to snap his mouth shut with his hands, glaring daggers at the lizard before looking back at "Lily".
"I-I can sleep on the couch..."He said, not entirely convinced but looking rather...concerned about the possible alternative.
Luckily (or unluckily, depending on the Floramon's choice) their little resting place discussion would be momentarily interrupted, as the human male finally returned from the kitchen, balancing four bowls of noodles in his hands.
"Sorry for the delay, not super used to cooking for four." He commented, handing over three of the bowls to each of the digimon present, before sitting on the floor next to the couch holding his own bowl. "So...ya'll getting along just fine?" He asked, a small hint of sarcasm in his tone.
"Just peachy." The imp replied with an equal amount of snark in his voice, while Gio nodded once affirmatively, nothing but honesty in his look.

"Hm? Oh, of course Lily's a 'fabrication', Dio." The Floramon gave a small shrug at that, stretching out her back as she stifled a yawn. "Making up stuff like this is pretty much second hat to me. Lily's not even the only name I've used - but its 'general' enough that I've been able to get away with it multiple times."
Simple enough - it seemed to match the rest of the Floramon's story, anyway. The next part was figuring out where to sleep, and well, Gio already had the answer! The two had their own mattresses in their human's room, so naturally, Bell could just crash on the couch... though as Gio thought out loud and made it a touch too complicated, the Floramon couldn't help but laugh!
"Oh, c'mon, Dio." She shook her head. "There's teasing you, and then there's potentially subjecting myself to being in the same room with all three of you. At least one of you snore at that point - I'll be happy to take the couch."
Simple enough - and just about that time, dinner was served! Taking the bowl in hand, the Floramon returned a small shrug in Carlos' direction. "Well, nothing's broken yet, anyway." Bell was especially careful not to step on any toes.
Not now that she had an 'in' to this useful cover in the human world. "And relax - I know better than to bite the hand helping me, Carlos. I'll try to keep my nose down... and not mess with the imp too badly."

For all the near relentless teasing the plant enjoyed dishing out against the imp, it seemed she would finally throw him a bone by letting Dio know he could at least keep his bed for himself. Granted it should have been obvious from the start she wouldn't want to share a room with three other boys she barely knew, but all he really cared about was not having to sleep with one eye open, waiting for Bell to strike at night.
"Thank you Yggdrasil." He would mutter thankful under his breath, before clearing his throat loudly and turning to her once again. "If you so choose then so be it."
Nothing broken she said? Looking at the defeated eyes of Dio it was less a question of what she had broken and more about who, but out of respect of his partner's probably destroyed pride he didn't dwell on it and attempted to take the conversation away from that. "If you say so. What's the plan after laying low then? Just waltz back into Whitewater like nothing happened?" Though at her comment about not messing with Dio too badly, even he had to try and stiffld a chuckle, which did not amuse the imp in the slightest.
"Just try to keep him in one piece and we good."
