"MUCH better."
The Zephyrmon gave a grin, once more seeing that hapless Leomon - and like this? She simply gave a flick of her wrist, a clatter of metal tossing that hilt aside, the harpy simply chuckling at the Leomon's position. Half her opponent's body trapped, and barely even able to keep her arms out of the quicksand, the attacker changed tactics: her free talon lit up with an impressively hot ball of plasma.
Zephyrmon's signature attack. The projectile was thrown right towards the Leomon's trapped head, and even if it was caught with the arms, the powerful ball would sink quickly against whatever it came into contact with, sinking into and burning the skin underneath. The Zephyrmon had her catch.
And she'd keep Silence here, quiet, for as long as she could manage. After all, if her data signal just vanished, it would give the bird away!

"Tch. You'd think a stranger would be friendlier when asking for direcctions..."
The leomon grit her teeth, watching her sword hilt clatter away. Yeah that was a long stretch even for her honestly but she couldn't do anything with a hilt like that. The leomon kept her eyes on the harpy like digimon, shifting and squirming as she felt herself sink a little lower.
At seeing the ball of plasma light up silence's eyes widened a little bit. She didn't know how bad that was going to hurt, she didn't know what attacks were what from a Zephyrmon. All she knew is that it probably would hurt since this mon was outclassing her completely. The leomon brought her arms up to block the attack, grunting in pain as she felt it burn away the armor and then into the skin underneath it. It made her hands hard to clench and unclench as she could feel it gnawing away at her.
She'd pant softly and she could feel herself on the verge of passing out from the pain. What the hell was that sort of attack? She had experienced the same burning sensation with the SkullMeramon's chains yes but... This one was far more intense!
It'd be maybe an hour before the lion was laying her front against the ground, chest heaving in effort. Her body scorched in various places and much of her armor missing. She'd slowly push herself up and spit out a wad of blood that was bugging her.
She was a tough son of a gun and the leomon had sunk in just up to under her arms. Too much longer and she'd just be a head above the darned things. She felt a loud sucking sound as the muck tried to pull her in more but... She felt her feet touch the bottom of something causing the lion to start laughing.

A full hour - wasn't that close to the time that Silence was supposed to check in?
Not that it mattered for the moment. The Leomon was kept purposefully in tact for Zephyrmon's purposes, and over the course of that time, she pressed on. More feathers. More balls of plasma. Silence's upper body would be battered and weakened, her arms greatly wounded, and her entire form perhaps groggy... and when she finally gave that chuckle of relief?
The Zephyrmon would approach from behind, and stamp a foot against the top of Silence's back. "So, you finally found the bedrock? Not like it matters, hun." And like that - if she could manage that contact - she'd start to push, hard, down at the lion's back, intent on making her sink even deeper. "No-one's gonna find you out here, Leomon..."

They had been quite clear about her needing to check in on time, if she didn't they'd come looking for her. But it didn't matter if she was under the god damn ground itself!
Silence could feel the sheer amount of painful slices across her body as the mucck seemed to invade the deep gashes. The burning sensation from all those balls of plasma, she felt groggy and somewhat light-headed from the pain. She could barely move her arms at this point and the leomon-x shifted a bit. She felt that foot against her back, she wasn't laughing because of simply the bedrock. That's just how she dealt with certain situations.
She felt that foot push her down, slowly but surely. The top of her vision was all that was left and soon enough her entire head was pushed underneath the ground likely to the zephyrmon's delight.
But things don't just simply end because you want them to.
There was a moment of peace like everything had ended, like the zephyrmon had gotten what it wanted. Likely even admiring her work or such. But....
There was a sharp increase in an energy signal that washed over the area like a god damn shocckwave. The sheer intensity of it registered as a super mega yes; or someone capable of attaining that form in it's entirety. There was nothing holding the signal back other than a little muck. It was big enough to where it could be felt for miles around the locale.
One hand burst from the muck and slammed down into it, spreading it apart like a wave. The sheer intensity of the light that wrapped around this form was bleeding into an absolute beacon of light as it pulled itself from the muck and grime. Slowly but certainly it pulled itself up as the light overwhelmed the area with it's radiance. Once the light faded and the intense signal died down standing there cracking it's knuckles was a shutmon, cloak billowing behind it; it's icy blue eyes staring straight at the Zephyrmon.
"No one needs to find me; I'll be taking you in Birdie."

In the end, that's all she was.
The Zephyrmon gave a smirk - finally feeling that last bit of motion. She couldn't afford to just delete the Leomon on the spot, but burying this battered Digimon in the mud - making her invisible to the naked eye - would at least take care of one of her problems. At this point, the harpy could slip back, hide nearby, and wait just a little longer to -
"GAH!!"
What the fuck was that? A powerful burst of data surged out, tearing away that muddy prison with one flick of an enhanced arm. From that, a dirtied, white-furred Shutmon managed to pull her way right out of the grime, looking right towards the other ultimate with renewed fury.
Nope, nope, nope! The Zephyrmon considered her chances - and clutched her talon right around that green stone, before simply chucking it far into the woods behind the wolf! "You have fun trying to find that one! If you don't, this storm won't let up for a month!"
And with that, she'd kick off, and try and simply make a break through the canopy. She was lying - the storm would die out in an hour, without her influence. But the lie might have been all she needed!

Silence stared at the Zephyrmon taking a single step her hands coming together somewhat slowly. They were moving on their own, they wanted to do something. But she had to stop when the other threw the stone, her icy eyes tracking it as it flew by her. She could probably find the thing pretty easy later right? They knew the area.
A month? It had that much residual energy?
The shutmon gritted her teeth as the other kicked off. But she wasn't about to let this one get away. The shutmon kicked off the ground with an explosive force and with each movement of her legs she'd kick off of the air too!
"We can find it before it becomes a problem, you think I'll just let you get away?"
The wolf was right behind the zephyrmon, one hand coming down in a vicious slamming attack to the back of the harpy's head. If she hit it certainly had enough force to maybe disorientate them for a short time. Silence didn't know what else this form was capable of. There was a heat in her chest, there was cold breath coming from her mouth. She felt the tingle of eenrgy across her hands.
This is what you are. This is what you can be.
"You know, you could do a lot of good with stuff like that. But instead you use it to hurt others. Applying that to a place that desperately needs water or somewhere that just a right push will put the environment into the proper rotation... But instead you're trying to make life miserable for a group of honest working people and that makes me sick."

The plan was simple: divert the Shutmon's attention to the orb, and make her escape. She figured that Silence would take the logical approach: knowing the area or not, if she forgot just which bush that stone went through, the chances of finding it in a reasonable amount of time were remarkably slim...
... But Silence did not consider that, or did not think it relevant. Instead, she closed the gap in a mere instant, and managed a heavy strike at the top of the Zephyrmon's back. She came careening down - even cracking through the base of a heavy tree as she did so - before she'd tumble, and slowly try to get to her feet, only managing to look right up to the Shutmon's waist. An hour of tormenting this lion-turned-wolf had left her fatigued - and now this Shutmon thought to lecture her.
"Like this world's that simple, wolf..." The Zephyrmon glared, managing to get back up to her feet, staggering for a moment like a listless zombie. "I don't need a local guard telling me what's good for this place. Try and hold me here, and I'll be sure to make your life as much hell as mine's going to be..."

The plan indeed was simple, as it was flawed. Silene knew that they would spend a lot of time looking over the area to find the stone if it honestly had a month of juice. But they couldn't just let someone get away that had the power of just... getting another one of these things somehow. The shutmon tsked a bit as she watched the Zephyrmon crash through the base of a tree. That looked like it hurt the zephyrmon managed to stand up, only partially so she was looking and talking to Silene's waist.
She had the edge here as she was able to endure that hour of torture, the burning sensation of her last form still for the most part firmly planted in her mind. The shutmon's eyes narrowed a bit as they stated that; seeming to think the world wasn't that simple.
"Oh see I wasn't going to try to hold you here. I was just going to beat you senseless until you passed out and sit on you while waiting for my commanders to get here... who are much stronger than I am."
The shutmon pointed a large finger at the Zephyrmon; a single crisp movement and a single warning.
"De-digivolve now and this won't escalate anymore. You'll have to do some community service or something and you'll see just how it is to live with them."
Her hand changed from a large finger pointing at the other, to one that was opening as though to take the others hand. If they thought this was a moment of weakness from the wolf they'd be very surprised to learn otherwise.
"My name is Silence. What's yours?"

"Tch..."
This Shutmon really didn't get it, did she? Not that the Zephyrmon could blame her, she was in the dark about the harpy's intent. But now she was trying to extend an olive branch? Some sort of peaceful resolution to this all? What kind of guards would keep someone around who could cause this much damage?
It wasn't viewed as a moment of weakness - rather, the Zephyrmon showed no hesitation at all. A quick step-in, intent on pressing in her shoulder right against the wolf's chest, before she'd lunge her talon forward, intent on piercing right through the Shutmon's center with a red-hot claw.
Intent on piercing right through her core - the first time in this entire fight the harpy attempted to use lethal force.

Silence stared at the other.
She could see the gears turning in the others head, she didn't know what conclusion that they reached. But unlike so many she hadn't let her guard down; the wolf seemed sad as there was that step in. That shoulder indeed would press in. But at that talon lunging forward?
The wolf would side step without even thinking and a sword would come down intent on slicing the harpy's arm off at the elbow. It was such a short and terse movement; on the wolf's face was just sheer dissapointment and sadness. She thought that maybe just maybe she could at least turn this person away from whatever it was that they were trying to do here.
"I suppose that's how it's going to be."
Even if she didn't cut off the other's arm the shutmon would bounce away from the other one of her hands coming out. Unlike all the other forms she had, this one seemed to be so much more crisp. So much more... focused. There was barely a puft of energy before... That sword once more made it into her hand. The brilliant light blue energy forming slowly in her hand, the same hand that extended that friendly shake not even a moment ago.
"Honestly, if I had to give you one. I'd say you look like a Lucretia."
There was a soft tone to her voice and the wolf shook her head. She really didn't want to hurt them, she didn't want to fight them. But she wasn't restraining herself in the slightest. The softness of her voice seemed to be... the genuine thing.

Why was the Zephyrmon so desperate?
Amidst the Shutmon's bluster, it would have been simple to attempt to escape again. There was only so much a grounded Digimon could do against one with wings, after all, so why try and end the fight there, without hesitation? It didn't work - and cost the Zephyrmon her arm, a sharp realization of pain crossing her eyes. Her instinct forced her to kick back, the harpy clutching around that wound with her remaining hand, gritting her teeth...
... As something changed in her eyes. And what the Zephyrmon said next didn't follow any pattern before at all.
"Where... where am I?" The Zephyrmon blinked, trying to get a stock of her surroundings. These weren't the mountains - why was she in some forest? And who was this Shutmon, holding this data-soaked blade?
Was she feigning ignorance? She fell to her knees, the pain of that attack realized all at once, as that arm started to dissipate into mere data.

The shutmon shifted lightly, staring at the zephyrmon as they shifted. She had maanged to cut off a good portion of that arm. She'd grit her teeth and spin around that new summoned blade. Startingg forward as she was pretty sure things were going to amp up from...
That change in her eyes made silence stop in her tracks. Was this a trick? Where was she? The shutmon dashed forward as the other fell to her knees, the blade that she had summoned up moments ago faded away as she swooped in to pick up the zephyrmon.
"Eastern timberlands, a bit out of the way of rosewood."
The shutmon answered without even hesitating, her motions were quick and she'd produce a bandage to wrap around the wounded portion of the arm. She'd quickly pull it tight so that data wouldn't leak and quickly place a hand against the others neck to check for her core beat. If this was a trick it was a damn good one! The shutmon bit her lip thinking to herself how much of a fool she was...
"What's your name?"
If she could get something out of this mon maybe she wasn't lost after all. Just why did her demeanor change when she cut off the arm? The shutmon didn't know the answer but... Maybe someone in rosewood did?

Eastern Timberlands?
That... that sounded right. Things were starting to piece themselves together in the Zephyrmon's head, memories starting to flood back in, foggy and vague as they were. What was she doing over these past few months? Why was she here? Pulled up into the Shutmon's arms, she gave a wince as that arm was bandaged off.
She was asked her name, but there was so much more to it: "Z... Zephyr, that's all. Last I remembered I was doing a mail run to some of the builders at the beginning of the Rosewood project. I met... someone, and then everything after that's just twisted up in my head..."
She shook her head, bringing that hand up to hold against her forehead. Just why were things like this? What did she even do?

Silence frowned a bit as she watched the other closely, even taking a moment to see if the other had a fever. Though she'd move her hand out of the way once she saw that they were moving somewhat okay on their own. Though she wasn't going to make the other walk or fly...
"Rosewood project?... Oh jeez that was some months ago I think. It's... a bustling town now. Tch. Someone? The commanders back at rosewood will want to talk to you after we get you treated... I'm going to carry you there okay Zephyr?"
The shutmon stood up and looked around, pursing her lips before gently kicking off of the ground. She'd take zephyr back to rosewood. She'd of course tell her commanders about everything that had happened. From the stone, to her cutting off the Zephyrmon's hand, the change in demeanor. What she was told.
She'd of course offer a place for the poor Zephyrmon to stay for a short time. If they accepted she'd at least be able to treat them for the... well arm that she more or less cut to pieces. Even getting a doctor to help treat and transplant something for them.
A few days later...
Silence had come to a decision that after the incident with Zephyr's controlled self that she needed to travel more to learn more about the digital world. She wanted to learn more about herself and the shutmon hoisted a bag over her shoulder. She had told Zephyr that if they wanted to come with her they could; in fact the shutmon fully hoped that they would. She told her commanders that she was going to leave rosewood for a time, she wasn't sure how long but... long enough to where she couldn't be a guard reliably.
Once her bag was packed the shutmon of course had to talk to her parents about this. Coming downstairs the shutmon rapped her knuckles on the doorframe of the kitchen entry to get their attention, she had heard them from upstairs talking about their usual business.
"Mom? Dad? Err... We need to talk."

A few days later...
Well, Gato and Gazi might have been a bit more resourceful in figuring out what the Shutmon was doing than Silence would have thought. Over those last few days, the wolf both recovering from her injuries and talking with both the guard and the Zephyrmon, a few things managed to come to the surface. So when the wolf walked into the kitchen, she wouldn't find either of her parents surprised or asking why they needed to talk.
Instead, she'd already find both of them sitting at the table, giving a smile to their precious daughter as they tapped on the open chair. "Sure, have a seat, hun."
"As it is, well, we knew that this day was eventually going to come..." The cat gave a sigh, shaking her head as she kept her smile. "But go on, what do you need to say?"
